So. Strong World is my favorite out of the movies. Robin in her sweater is so damn precious. Since in the movie they all spend a week seperated; ya know her husband still did some cheezy and romantic stuff just to keep spirits high. One of the few times I actually make a background. StrongWorld outfits for Bon Clay and Koby. I don't normally go for the crazier kinda outfit that shows up in One Piece, but Bon Clay can get away with it. So 70's/80s gay jogging outfit feels very appropriate for them. The stripes are the colors of the Non-Binary flag, though they aren't in the right order. No flag refs for Koby, just colors I like together.

wait no im criticizing it. strong world has bad nami writing. she's been in this exact situation before (with eneru) and she managed to manipluate and con her way out of it and that situation played to her strengths. it should really be the same here, but the writings playing it like nami is the most sincere woman in the world who cannot socially manipulate someone who is sexist. i think they're trying to make parallels to arlong, but it doesn't make sense, because she's not this sincere to people she hates.

im not saying she wouldnt accept the "ill join your crew" offer, I'm saying it's weird that there's narrative expectation on her to be sincere about her accepting that. that's not how nami works. she does not act wildly ooc just because theres an arlong paralell, the reason shes sincere about arlong is because of her own issues, completely unrelated to arlong and related to kokoashi and related to how much she doesnt trust anybody else at the time.

i would criticize strong worlds use of making nami appear initially as a damsel in distress but the implication that when presented with a luxury palace all to herself even though she can get out at any time she waits a week for her boys to come and get her seemingly on the excuse that she prioritizes luxury over putting in the effort to escape is in character.

Fuck, Strong World is still the best One Piece movie (for me) it was so good to rewatch it after all these years !! I love it !! 😊

Best entry ever, best outfits, the animation is killing it, Luffy in a black "cape" (we'd never have enough of that), Zoro my love is badass as fuck, there is big guns, LUNA MOMENTS ! I MEAN COME ON ! ❤❤

(But Robin had like 3 lines of dialogue, it's sad)
