Shayne and Nancy - good hips, in rhythm, good footwork, kind of tame though? Usually it's a bit less restrained (side note: the green is horrific)

Sarah and Vito - very beautiful, these ballrooms suit her a lot, good footwork and rise and fall, but she looked a little tense through her neck in hold

Nick and Luba - he hit all the moves, not very exaggerated but I can only assume it's because of his injury and possibly the routine was altered, not much to say tbh

Jamie and Michelle - he did all the footwork, his hips were moving, it's not his fault but he's gangly and a bit awkward so he looks like an English bloke on his first lads holiday in Ibiza trying to impress girls, the polo and shorts outfit does not help this image

Wynne and Katya - it was a bit placed and careful for me, I don't know, I didn't like it but it was danced pretty well in my eyes

Punam and Gorka - she looked to be having a good time but not much retraction on the kicks and flicks, a bit flat footed, not helped by wearing trainers rather than heels/heeled dance shoes, a touch low energy

Karen and Paul - from what I saw (TV was blocked for the last 30ish seconds) he had good footwork, was on time, frame was a little off but definitely his best dance

JB and Amy - as previously stated, rhumba is not one of my favourite dances but I thought he danced it well, his hip movement, I do think it was a little stop start, Amy looks incredible, that hairstyle suits her down to the ground and the dress is lovely

Chris and Dianne - he really nails all the steps, dead on time, I don't think we should make everything about his disability but those lifts are impressive for a sighted person so doubly impressive for him

Montell and Jojo - her frame is very nice, footwork was good too, love a fleckle, lovely, shame her dress is so ugly

Sam and Nikita - I liked it, I always think Sam is sexy, but I feel like she was trying too hard here, footwork was good, hips were great, timing was good, Sam looked like she was having a ball

Pete and Jawita - footwork was good, he travelled well but he looked very tense through his back in hold

Tasha and Aljaž - honestly, didn't really see it but I guess it was good based on the score

The Couple’s Choice is such a weird part of Strictly now that they’ve framed it as like… personal story. Because these people bare their souls through the VT and the dance, they live in their pain for the whole week and bring it to millions of people through art, and then it’s like, “Thank you for sharing your fertility journey with us. Your feet should have turned out more.”

You know what, I'm actually mad about Paul's score. I love Sam, I really do but she made mistakes that were mentioned by every judge and still got 6s and 7s. Paul went out of time a couple of times but did not do any incorrect steps and got a 3 from Craig and 5s???? I just want a little consistency, it's not fair at all

i was going to comment earlier on how i love how the backing dancers have costumes that resemble the main couple’s costumes but don’t overshadow them. except now they’ve just come out dressed as ketchup and mustard bottles so i feel like i need to retract that thought
