STORE OWNER BY DAY, STREET RACER BY NIGHT - (STREET RACER DR INTRO)

engines revved and growled all around her, attempting and failing to intimidate the up-and-coming racer. no one really knew her yet. not when she was the last car to pull off, and the first one to overtake everyone and finish first. no one knew how much of a threat she was; how scared they should be if they depend on that prize money to keep them afloat.

seraph didn't come here to lose. she never did. no, she came to these races to prove a point. to show her mother that she could still have fun and win. even though she wasn't keen on the idea of telling her mother the ins and outs of how she got to these races, the thought was what counted. she was going to win damn near every race and have fun doing it. because she could, and she would. seraph's eyes flitted back and forth between the track and the racer beside her, his jet black car a stark contrast to her pure white one. his windows were tinted to hell, but she could still see the outline of his head. the way it was tilted towards her, seemingly examining the competition. she almost wanted to wave. to wish him luck with a smile she knew would be taken as a taunt. she held back, however, directing her eyes back to the long expanse of asphalt just waiting for her to speed across it, overtaking all her opponents with ease.

"racers, get ready!"

seraph settled back into the smooth cream leather of her driver's seat, one hand resting languidly on the wheel. she was in control here. no matter how new she was, no matter how many people underestimate her, she would still end up at the finish line first. there was no doubt about it. 3.

seraph could almost hear the collective deep breath every racer on that track took—could almost feel the sense of safety and confidence that washed over everyone. she smiled to herself, resting her hand on the gearshift. she had this in the bag. 2.

in her peripheral, she caught that same racer glancing over. his gaze permeating through the thick glass of her windows. was he trying to intimidate her? throw her off-balance?

why was it working?

seraph straightened up in her seat, trying her best to avoid the glances of the mystery racer. he didn't matter. the only thing that mattered was winning this damn race.

that night was the first time serafina had lost since her first race. she couldn't get over how cocky the winning racer had been— ghost, the announcer had called him —and how she could see the shit-eating grin in his eyes, even when he had a balaclava over his face. the simple thought evoked an unnatural amount of irritation in sera's heart, one that disturbed her enough for her to stick the wrong key into the lock of her record store, deep groove.

she couldn't dwell on this all damn day. there were more important things to deal with, more pressing matters to attend to. like the heaping piles of unorganized records she had left behind last night. the ones she had left behind to go to that race, only to lose and embarrass herself.

an annoyed expression overtook her features, though she quickly schooled it. deep groove opened in an hour, and sera needed to sort at least a chunk of these records before those doors opened.

so with a sigh, she got to it. putting away various vinyls, even when the store eventually opened. sera couldn't greet the first customer properly, not with this steep task. she opted for a simple "welcome to deep groove" and got back to work.

the customer didn't end up buying anything—as per usual—so serafina didn't have a reason to glance outside. she didn't have a reason to stare past the glass door for just a moment and see a familiar jet black car sitting out front.

if only she had known that her newfound rival had stepped foot onto her property...and that he would become a regular she would grow fond of.

Most of my time is definitely spent in dcp (devils cockpit), since I own a dance club(what most people call the strip club, which I hate) called Garden of sin, a person I feel safest with is definitely Vinnie. A person I dislike is Sienna, she’s always starting shit for no reason. My closet friends is actually like three different people. ↓

Jaeda Galelaeris is my god sister, and a year older than me, she protective, caring, loving and like me a mafia princess, she’s a YouTuber, TikTok creator and artist, she has a older twin brother named jeamarr, she Soulanni(African American)

Makayla aeros is my childhood best friend, she’s cousins with Vinnie and Reggie Hacker, apart of the New York Camorra, has a older sister named calliope who’s the heir, she can be mean but is mainly nice it just depends on how you treat her, she’s half Italian half Russian.

Angie Le is also one of my childhood friends, our parents grew up together, she has a older brother named Chris, she’s honestly the sweetest girl you could meet, she’s Vietnamese-American.

FNAF SB AU ideas off the top of my head.

You’ve heard of coffee shop AU, now I present:

Fast food. Plenty of options- American, Mexican/“mexican”(cough-TACO BELL-cough), Chinese/“chinese”…

If you’ve never worked fast food (must be nice to be one of the favorites…) it generally sucks. Crazy rushes. Tight on space. Running into each other/swift dodging. You’ll get 20 separate orders of basic shit, cool! All of a sudden, your average order cost of $5-$20, with $50 bein a “big” order ain’t shit bc you just got some asshole in the drive thru askin for 50 $2 value chicken sandwiches & 50 $3 value burgers. “Tf you mean you want 100 sandwiches rn and you’re gonna pay $250 in mostly 5s and 1s??? Sicko. Drop all the mini chickens & I need a full grill of mini burgs for the foreseeable future. Idc that the grease bucket for the grill is overflowing, you know you don’t either. Don’t slip bc they’ll make me clean the mess since I can’t get any biohazard type illnesses.”

We fightin for our lives in the “MalWart.” “Yeah no it’s crazy that they want us to complete 10 pallets in hardware in 4hr when each pallet takes about an hour… wait WTF you mean they’re all screws and washers???? That whole pallet????? Fuck me… and fuck them. And fuck that pallet actually, bc that’ll take at least 2hr all on its own. Yeah no I did mean that it would take YOU two hours. It would take ME the whole shift. Some of us ain’t blessed with the speed & dexterity of a supercomputer powered body you show off.” (A million possibilities! Deli, bakery, dayshift department options of your choice, overnight stocking, security, etc)

Tbh I’d suggest some others but I know I’ve seen them already- someone’s already got a general amusement park AU (the fic is somewhere in my 150+ tabs… I will find you…) although they do focus on being a ride operator… so there’s still food & beverage, security, janitor/“maintenance”/“Park Services”, actual maintenance as in like dealin w fixing basic issues like broken chairs/tables, as well as tech dealing with minor errors in rides, lights, audio, etc. character/character “buddy” (think Mickey Mouse & his Disney employee handler).

I’ve also seen like… goth IHop somewhere… I miss you…

Also seen psych ward, school, VR, someone… someone’s got haunt but w jackomoon in a corn maze… (I’m gonna find you again too… you won’t escape my love…) seen street racers, a… surprising amount of cops… hmm…

Aiight I know someone’s got the restaraunt AU, think it’s the same person w a hair salon AU, but!!! HEAR ME OUT!!! Basic restaraunt. Step up from fast food in terms of quality & money earned, BUT!!! We all still fightin to not knock out some of them damn customers. The best part of the shift is when the server gets to slink into the kitchen and stare longingly at the cook, who either eagerly or “grudgingly” makes them a meal. Bonus points for inhaling the food and fighting the chipmunk cheeks away as they rush back out to the floor.

Another idea I had was “translator” as in the human has moved, whether out of personal desire or demand from employers, to another country where they don’t speak the language, one way or another they come in possession of the DCA. DCA can act as a translator, assist in assimilating, take on the roll as your first “friend” in the new place and guidance around the city… idk. I think it would be a cool way to utilize the “computer” part of them.

Also… gaining sentience. Personally I tied it into the “translator” idea- they come to you as a fairly simple animatronic in the sense that they don’t really differ too much in personality between Sun & Moon, generally devoid of much of a personality, baddabing badaBOOM (idk tech, I had them struck by lighting like Dr. Frankenstein type nonsense) they’re suddenly two separate people w whole personalities & shit, but also tryin to figure out this whole “being sentient” thing (which I am not the first to have that specific idea, can’t remember who but I saw someone who did something similar but it was like… some storm related surge at the pizzaplex? And then they started zappin all the animatronics… I… think I know who wrote that, but bc I ain’t sure I’m not sayin shit bc I’d be so fuckin embarrassed if I got it wrong and I gotta go to sleep so I can’t look it up myself right now… so tired.)

so i would cast him a year older than jack, or like. he turns 18 a few months before jack or smth. he just seems to understand things already that jack's whole arc brings him to at the end of the show. "I don't need folks. I got friends." takes jack two hours and a fifteen minute intermission to figure that one out. brotha.

i think making crutchie the only guy in the play who really knows what and how things are going to happen is really... just. makes him interesting. his sense of self-awareness, his personal knowledge of who he is and what he stands for- the wild thing abt him is he already. knows. crutchie stands for his friends. it's why initially he isn't for striking ("let's hit the streets while we still can") bc he knows any other action is going to get his friends hurt... but it's also why he's good with it pretty soon after- well, if they are gonna do this, he's not letting his family do it alone/without him... even if he knows what's probably going to happen to him afterward. give me a crutchie with foresight who doesn't ignore it, per se, but whose moral backbone refuses to make him a coward. (its why he and davey r like🤞🏼 to me.)

i would also let him fight. in the fight choreo. he's winning to morris delancey i do not CARE. i'm having the reason he gets caught be him shoving the jacobs out and away. because crutchie already knewwww. from the moment of "you mean like a strike?" what was goin down.

(i would also make the "romeo! finch!" not be a reaching out, but a "get the fuck out of here" wild gesture. as long as crutchie takes center, no one else is getting hauled through downtown in a police wagon.)

i also think that whenever race makes his little comments to davey crutchie is the one gesturing for him to back off, bc i think it's fun when racer and crutchie butt heads and i rly adore crutchie seeing davey and knowing his potential like. immediately. i think i'd have them be talking a lot in staging it- uksies does this already if ur looking for it, but it's so key to me.

tl;dr, crutchie is the most experienced person at the lodge, and i think it should show. and also like. u can debate me on that? that jack's more experienced or is portrayed to be since he's the leader, but... tell me why jack learns friends are equivilent to family when crutchie knew that shit at 00:00:00 in the musical. lmk. crutchie has almost prophetic knowledge in his brain ok he knows newsies the musical as well as us. i think that's fascinating.

also this is unrelated but the way matthew duckett uses the crutch as a true extension of himself is unlike any crutchie we might ever have again. go watch the boot again and just watch him. he points with it, gestures with it, sits in interesting ways, like. his comfortability with his body is smth crutchie needs to have bc he knows himself, more than the rest know themselves. im so serious.
