Today actually ended up being busy and Street Parking through out a rucking challenge so that kind of shifted my plans. I waited until the temp was above 0f and then did a 2.5 mile ruck with a 20# pack. It was the Street Parking Super Pup Ruck! So I took Daisy too! Then in the afternoon I went to V3 for some lifting (did the 5/3/1 bench press) and then tried swimming for the first time…

Places that are so dense that parking is in such short supply that parking is a separate charge from rent or requires getting in with the local government, sure, public transit is practical and frequently available.

The fact that street parking is proposed as a big deal way car ownership is subsidized is... Ok, so this is a post about dense urban areas.

The thing about cars is that you don't even really need to regulate or disincentivize them. You just need to stop de facto subsidizing them (by charging a carbon tax for gas) and setting up the world for them (all current urban planning).

If the owner of a car was not given free storage for their 5 figure luxury item (free street parking) and had to actually pay for the things they use, most of the problems would solve themselves!

Page 7. --- Special to The Vancouver Sun NEW WESTMINSTER, Oct. 13. - Objection to the principle of paying hospital bills for former Japanese residents of New Westminster who are now interned in the Interior was voiced at the City Council meeting Tuesday night.

Tom Reid, MP, member for New Westminster, will be requested to take the matter up with the Dominion Government, which the Council felt should be responsible for all hospitalization charges of alien enemies.

A bylaw providing for registration of bicycles in New Westminster will be prepared. The finance committee will decide on the fee to be charged.

The practice of commercial vehicles parking on streets in residential areas will be curbed in a bylaw.

The city will also prohibit the repairing of motor vehicles on city streets.

A grant of $150 was made towards the proposed Pro-Rec physical training classes in the city. The T. J. Trapp High School auditorium and the Dontenwill Hall will be used.
