Happy Strawberry Super Moon 2021! June 24, 2021 🍓🍓🍓🍓 So I'm sitting in the backyard with my telescope, hearing some animal movements and periodically clearing my throat so whatever animals are there don't come near me and surprise me, just trying to let them know I'm there since I'm not sitting on the deck (the bushes would block the view). 🌚 And out of the corner of my eye, I see a white thing crawl up onto the deck and I recognize the shape as housecat, so I whisper out "kitty, kitty, kitty~" and the cat jumps to look at me, and IMMEDIATELY takes off running, it was hilarious! Like, buddy, I wasn't being subtle, I was making noise with adjusting the telescope and clearing my throat, pls chill and maybe let me pet u next time. 🐈 ((Let this also be a word of warning to people who let their cats freeroam outside (esp at night!) They are not the apex predators they think they are, and if I could startle this cat while making a ton of noise, imagine what a hungry wild animal might do. Cats should never be allowed to freeroam outside.)) 🍓 Also, the strawberry super moon is so bright, it hurt to look at lmao. There's a thick orangey hazy glow around it from how vibrant it is tonight.
