The Seven’s sexualities are as followed:

Leo: hot people (pretty much everyone), he definitely had a crush on everyone on Argo 2 like once even if it was for five seconds

Piper: Who Knows At This Point, anyone can be pretty as long as they aren’t jerks

Jason: thought he was straight and is now suffering cause he’s friends with Leo and Piper (not cause he has crushes on them but because they enjoy shattering his world view by asking him if he thinks *insert random person* is hot)

Bonus for Jason: might have a crush on Leo

Percy: Annabeth, not actually but he has her so he doesn’t actually care about finding out.

Annabeth: suffering (refers to the entire paragraph in MOA where Annabeth thinks about her entire love life and the only thing good about it was like three months), but also Percy cause no way he’s ever leaving her

Hazel: a poor oppressed child who didn’t even know Not Being Straight is a thing until now, has a type for the precious ones.

Frank: honestly the straightest one of the group but at this point nobody actually knows

A character looks straight into the camera and says "I'm not interested in romance" and people will still say "No, it's not confirmed they're aromantic!!!" "They could change their mind!!!" "it's a challenge for them to overcome!!!" "They'll have character development that makes them fall in love"

It's like they are given the most blatant answer to a character romantic orientation and they actively ignore it. all the while all it takes is subtext for people to speak as if it is fact for a character to be any other sexuality.

Well… no. Not yet anyway and for quite some time.

It’s 2004, world wasn’t very kind to gay people back then, or helped much with figuring things out for young queers (I would know, I was one). He still needs some time to precess. He just found his first best friend and he’s cool and strong and makes him happy and that’s all he wants to think about rn.

On the other hand feudal Japan was surprisingly okay with two men being involved romantically (despite the problematic side of things… good place to remind everyone 03 Usagi is a teen as well), so he’s a little confused by Leo’s mixed messages.

It’s okay, they’r still kids figuring things out. And when they will, there’ll be time for kisses.

i think part of the reason that aromantic awareness is lagging so far behind that of asexuality is that romance is viewed as straight-up ubiquitous, whereas sexuality is thought of as a choice people make. (e.g. purity culture & making the choice Not to have sex; dating as a given while hooking up is notable)

hence, asexuality may be misconstrued as synonymous with celibacy, but aromanticism isn't (can't be) construed as anything because nobody can conceptualize its existence at all. a fish doesnt even know it's wet...

So I’m gonna say something crazy… but have you ever considered that maybe, just maybe… and hear me out… the core four group in the show about “outcasts and wierdos” ISN’T supposed to have a straight-white-able-bodied-all-american male that people from that group can easily project on to? That maybe the straight-white-male audience might have to contend with the fact that they find relatability in characters who are black, disabled, or gay? That MAYBE there isn’t supposed to be this pov character that easily fits into these conventions that they’ve been so used to seeing in popular media but that’s also kind of the point?

I keep getting messages from people saying they wish they could get certain Pride Angels designs but don't feel comfortable doing so if it's not their flag. Personally this has never been an issue for me and I get any design regardless of flag if it looks cool. But I'm wondering if I'm in the minority here! Let me know in the poll.

I hate it when cishet people write Achilles and Patroclus as friends and that is in part why I'll always insist in Achilles and Patroclus being interpreted as a 100% gay couple, especially with non queer people

Like, is not wrong to interpret Patroclus and Achilles as friends BUT

When straight people that are neck deep in amatonormativity do it, it always goes like this

"Oh, Patroclus and Achilles are friends lol, but Achilles is a man, therefore he needs to be with a woman, so he's in love with Briseis, oh but romantic love is more important than friendship, so Briseis is more important than Patroclus and Patroclus doesn't matter in the end"

And another thing I absolutely hate when straight people write Heterochilles is that they always are like

"Oh, Achilles killed Briseis's entire family, took away her freedom, and raped her, but she loves him, because... How could she not love him? After all he was a boy, she was a girl, can I make it any more obvious?"
