Okay I have to admit I can't draw realism so here's a shaded deterioration Guilty instead <33

1. The freed Villainess : similar to Damsel, she's grateful you saved her and hugs her darling assistant before taking your hand and dragging you with her to the stairs. When the door locks, she kicks the door down and you're freed lol

"Now we can find the cowardly fools that locked me in there!... Though.. I didn't think I'd be so exhausted.. it's cold."

2. The freed Guilty : Also taking references from Damsel but in the questioning part. When you get to the locked door, she'll start breaking down. You could try to reassure her which makes her question things even more (it gives you the deteriorated Guilty), but you could also just.. break the door open. Which leads you to free her.

"I'm sorry, I didn't think it was possible.. and I didn't think there was any other place colder than that basement..."

3. The deteriorated Villainess : You try to leave, but before you can do that, she wraps the chains that bound her to trap you too. She'll get annoyed if you try to free yourself and says "don't think I'll trust you to not leave me" when you ask her to free you. I guess it'll go similarly to the chained Prisoner Vessel.

"Well, would you look at that. The outside has come to me, I told you that sooner or later I'll be out.. why didn't you ever tell me that the outside was so cold?" (A little bitter.)

(you could also try apologizing while the cabin is breaking down and she might be a bit less bitter about it) "Well, would you look at that. The outside has come to us, maybe the only way we could've gotten out was together after all.."

4. The deteriorated Guilty : You try to reassure her when the door locks. "Did I cause this? I'm sorry, maybe I wasn't ever meant to be freed anyway." "It's because of me isn't it? The cabin doesn't like me-" "didn't you say leaving here would mean I'll end the world?" "I don't want to hurt anyone, what if it really happens?" "What if I really end the world?"

You know what a fun JayVik AU/crossover would be?

Explorers of Sky AU. Jayce is the human protagonist-and all that entails. >:D (I'm imagining that, after the explosion, they get separated and Viktor spend some time looking for Jayce-only to find him washed up on the beach with amnesia, also transformed into a Pokémon. (I'm thinking a dog Pokémon. The signifier that it's Jayce is that he still has Viktor's fingerprints on his forehead even as a Pokémon.)

(Also, I like to think that Viktor's "Herald of the Arcane" form translates to "Ultra Beast" or "Future Paradox Pokémon", so you have a very traumatized dog Pokémon with a f*cked up leg, and the absolute weirdest partner imaginable. Their Exploration Team name is "Team Hextech".)

JAYCE WOULD BE A ROCKRUFF/DUSK LYCANROC and i will DIE on that hill. literally hes literally rock dog. one that "is very friendly when it's young. Its disposition becomes vicious once it matures, but it never forgets the kindness of its master" and "it’s also brave enough to protect its friends if something were to threaten them." LIKE!!! thats our guy!!! and the dusk lycanroc specifically because it's a mixture of the two forms to match Jayce's color palette during s2 act 3 (which in itself represents his attitude towards the cities and his disillusionment with piltover but you know <3). the only way it'd be more perfect is if rockruff were a dual fairy/rock type.

for viktor i think if it were a normal circumstance of him just. being a pokemon for whatever reason he'd be an eevee. Literally the evolution pokemon whose whole thing is adapting that "mutates" when it comes into contact with certain stones. he could easily end up as a fucked up Leafeon or some new ghost type. however if he is still gotta be fucked up and weird like a paradox pokemon or something may i suggest iron valiant. It's made to resemble two pokemon known for their agility and skill, now made of metal as this apex of both. its perfect

and also like look at them. its so funny. clark and malfina ass energy while pulling up to the exploration team.

also i know technically mel shouldn't be here but consider: the elegant beautiful empath mage is a gardevoir. i will not take criticism on this.

also funny you bring a post-canon pokemon au because i also. made one like literally a week ago but it's based more of the lore of Fallers (people who "fall" out of their normal place in space time for a variety of reasons ie Akari/Rei, Inigo, Looker etc). and like. come on thats the perfect excuse to throw them into a nicer world and force them to heal. still hurting them though dont worry. Viktor doesn't remember anything but is still haunted by a subconscious guilt and the fact he's clearly not human (his body is like 75% human-like and flesh but has this white organic metal thing making up certain parts of his body. hes not a fan of it). Jayce does keep his memory but falls in like four years after Viktor and halfway around the world and has to navigate this new world full of weird little beasts looking for his partner. but they WILL get better and they WILL acquire more little freak beasts against their will. its basically like

Viktor living as a small town artificer in Sinnoh: I'm relatively happy with the life I built and I'm content with never getting my memories back but...i dont know. i feel like im missing something (someone) deeply important to me. I dont think ill ever feel complete without it, but it may be worlds upon worlds away. i dont think i would deserve it anyway :( so i might as well make peace with that fact :(

Some STP Human Headcanons (Vessels)

-I mentioned this in my last Slay the Princess post, but Prisoner loves to dance. As soon as she's free to walk and move around, she learns how to dance as a way to a) feel like she's in control of her body again, and b) fully explore the freedom she's now offered. The day she learns swing dances is the first day that any of the others have seen her smile.

-Witch has about twenty different kinds of carnivorous plants in her house, and all of them have names. She likes talking to them, because plants don't say that you're dragging on when you complain about your day, or tell you that your outfit looks awful when you're trying something new, or tell you that you're a massive dork when you gush about your favorite graphic novel series.

-Oh, yeah, Witch is a comics/graphic novel nerd. She's a big fan of Alison Bechdel, Vera Brosgol, ND Stevenson, and Elaine Lee, and she loooooooooves Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy. She reads DC comics for them and them alone.

-As a way to express some individuality while they're still figuring out what their personality is---and if they even have a cohesive one---Stranger dresses in incredibly elaborate outfits, and the style changes rapidly from day to day. They can go from dressing like a Southern Belle (complete with a parasol) to dressing like a Victorian swashbuckling thief (complete with a cane and masquerade mask) to dressing like they're heading to a 1980's roller rink (surprisingly, they make the skates work) on any given day, and all of the girls place bets on whatever they're going to wear next. Nobody has won.

-It's a terrible pun, but I'm ridiculously attached to the idea of Razor being a metalhead---and if not a metalhead exactly, then a major fan of any and all punk rock music released in the Riot Grrl era. She owns every single Bikini Kill album, every single Raincoats album, and will neither confirm nor deny having a Joan Jett body pillow. If she can sing-scream along to it, she'll listen to it.

-Adversary is the most kickass roller derby player you have ever seen in your life. She's got face-paint, she's got stickers on her helmet, she's got scuffed shoulder and knee pads from bodying the girls on the other team... she's fucking awesome. Razor shows up to every single game with a hand-painted sign for her.

-Damsel is obsessed with video games like Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, the Sims---basically, anything that's cute and low-stakes, she'll play. She absolutely has a set of pink cat-ear headphones that Witch bought for her. (Prisoner has matching blue ones, but she never wears them.)

-Nightmare is a theater kid. She recites Shakespearean monologues at the drop of a hat, devours occult-themed musicals like her life depends on it, and has a flawless soprano voice that will actually give you chills. Her rendition of "The Ballad of Jane Doe" at a voice recital made several people cry. She relishes in their tears.

-Prisoner and Spectre both love books, but while it's more of an academic thing for Prisoner (she likes history and math, because it's just facts), Spectre is a total fiction reader. Mostly classics like Jane Austen and Agatha Christie, but she's also got a bit of a guilty pleasure for well-written romance novels, and she loves The Locked Tomb series. Even if the Alecto stuff hits a bit too close to home.

-Stranger is really into arts and crafts, to the point where they've pretty much learned everything from crotcheting to making clay earrings. Almost all of their creations end up being gifted to one of the girls, and they're all very much treasured and appreciated.

-Tower has a difficult time really connecting with most of the girls, since she's still trying to get herself to come down from her superiority complex, but she has figured out that they will always like her as long as she brings her credit card with her. No matter the setting, Tower is fucking loaded, and even the more masc girls like Adversary are willing to go on a shopping spree.

-That being said, I think Tower gets along the best with Nightmare, because they're both absolutely self-assured, barely care about other people (except their best girls, of course), and are both intimidating in their own ways. They're absolutely the kind of best friends who bitch about people while doing each other's nails.

-Witch and Spectre both do witchcraft for funzies, but Witch is more about the plants and herbalism, while Spectre's all about the Oujia boards and tarot cards. They're kind of in a two-person coven together---you gotta find something to bond over, and what better way to connect than your shared interest in magic?

-If I'm not just making Beast into a cat, I'm making Beast into a preteen, because just making her a human adult just doesn't... fit her. Besides, it's way more easy---and more fun---to imagine her as that low-key feral kid who's always digging for worms during recess, always gets into fights with bullies and winds up covered in Band-Aids as a result, always wears the same ratty cat-ear beanie every day, and hisses at people who annoy her. She has weird-little-girl energy, I dunno what to tell you. (She still tags along on hangouts when there's no alcohol involved, though---she's either Witch's little sister or her daughter, and Witch is very keen on making sure she's included.)

-Damsel bakes. Every time one or more of the girls comes over, she has something in the oven, something sitting on the kitchen table cooling, and something that's in the middle of being frosted. She likes doing it because while it is something that she largely does for others, it's also something that gives her a sense of pride, and she also just has a lot of fun with it. Even when she has to clean up, she's humming a song from a Barbie movie under her breath. Probably from Princess & The Pauper (the best one, fight me).

-Adversary used to play the violin when she was a kid, but she got bored of it quick, and she switched over to the bass as soon as she could. Spectre is very good at playing the cello---she even does recitals!---and Witch... well, she played the French horn in high school. During marching band. It was the only extracurricular where she could have free reign to be as annoying as possible to the people who said that she had to have one for college credit. (Oh, also, Razor plays electric guitar. She's a really good singer, but she's an even better growler.)

And... I think that's all I got for now.

Her contrast, the different facets of her personality that make her, well, her. She is kind, cheery, and understanding, but she is also firm, can be threatening, and takes absolutely 0 of our bullshit. And the best part is that all of these make perfect sense - she is kind because she is hopeful you'll repent and help her leave (and perhaps because your perception skews more positive of her, after learning of what the Narrator puts you through as a "reward"), but she also never lets you forget that you still killed her in cold blood.

least favorite thing about them

This will probably be true for most StP characters, I can't think of any specific that I dislike about pretty much all of them. So most of the time, if it's going to be anything, it'll be something very minor and silly - in this case, it's Spectre's tattered skirt on her dress (it's hard to draw, that's literally it)

There is just something really beautiful about how much they contrast each other and yet, ultimately, both yearn for similar things, it's just all feelings, connection, longing. random headcanon

I kind of mentioned it in the first question, but I think that part of the reason why she's so kind and understanding is because your / TLQ's perception of her changes as a result of the Narrator trying to shove you into the Good Ending™. Up until that point, you follow the Narrator without question and so when he essentially betrays you... you begin to see him as the "villain" of this story. And since you didn't have much of a chance to really get to know the princess before you killed her... I'd like to think that this shift in perspective also contributes to Spectre's cheery and hopeful attitude :]

Slay the Princess - Atonement AU

Sorry if I don’t have any visuals to go with this, but hopefully the more I expand on this AU I’ll draw something for it

TLDR: An “Everyone Hates You” ending but only half of the voices are present and the other half are awakened after LQ is left exiled. Now LQ must find a way to redeem Themself while the voices fight amongst each other.

(Content warning for gore mention and depressive thoughts. Will also include STP spoilers. Read at your own risk!)

Summary: After the Long Quiet, a loathsome bastard who liked causing chaos, slayed the Princess once and for all, They create a new world free from death and suffering. But what They didn’t anticipate was the wrath of Their voices, who were angry at LQ for treating them so horribly and mocking them for their deaths whenever They approached the mirror. They mercilessly attack LQ, stripping Them away from Their godhood by separating themselves from Their body. While LQ was exiled in disgrace and left to face the consequences of Their actions, the voices decided to take it upon themselves to rule the new world. This included Hero, Cold, Cheated, Stubborn, Paranoid, Opportunist, and Contrarian. Because of their hatred towards LQ, their pain and anger manifested as they slowly became worse versions of themselves.

While Contrarian tried to maintain his sanity and did his best to lighten things up by being his usual funny self, it wasn’t enough. Tensions were always high and everyone was “too serious” to pay attention to him. It had even got to the point where Hero, who now called himself “Savior”, wouldn’t even smile around him anymore. Contrarian couldn’t stand seeing his close friend, who was once a steadfast and compassionate hero, turn into a cold and tired shell of himself. He was so uncomfortable with the gloomy atmosphere that he decided to run away. There was no point for him to be around his fellow voices.

Eventually Contrarian was found by LQ and four “new” voices, who woke up sometime after LQ was exiled. This includes Broken, Hunted, Skeptic, and Smitten. The four of them have been helping LQ survive while hiding from the warped voices. Contrarian is glad to see LQ again and understands Their regret of making things worse for everyone just for the fun of it. (After all, he was guilty of doing the same thing…) But now that he knew that LQ wants to redeem Themself for the terrible things They’ve done, he is determined to help Them do so. Teaming up with the four other voices, Contrarian and his new allies plan to rise up against Savior’s rule and give LQ another chance to save the world.

The Warped Voices - Team Hero

Hero -> Savior: As the leader of the warped voices, he takes it upon himself to carry everyone’s burdens, whether they ask for his help or not. As a result, he is always tired and stressed out. He has complicated feelings towards LQ; he is disappointed in Them but doesn’t outright hate Them. He figures that if LQ won’t make the new world a better place, he’ll have to do just that himself. Thorny branches begin to grow on his body and the more his mental state wavers, the more branches grow on him.

Cold -> Ruthless: Continues to play his role as the “ideal version” of LQ despite becoming a separate entity from Them and achieving what the Narrator had always wanted. He is partnered with Cheated to find LQ and slay Them once and for all. He now wear a veil that hides his face. If one were to remove it, they would see a horrifyingly mutilated face devoid of emotion. Anything he touches become just as frigid and numb as him.

Cheated -> Vindictive: After being screwed over one too many times, he is delighted to finally have the power to control the new world to his liking. He still sees life as a game but plans to keep on winning and let the losers suffer the same pain that he had felt. Anyone who stands a chance against him will be shouted at with his spiteful words. With Cold’s help, he has also learned how to become a skilled fighter and thinks killing LQ would be the ultimate victory.

Stubborn -> Bloodthirsty: Has become restless and furious now that he has no reason to fight in the new world. So he gives himself a purpose by fueling all his hatred forwards LQ and decides that he won’t rest until he is able to kill Them with his own hands. As a result, he becomes just as bloodthirsty, grotesque, and powerful as the Fury. He is considered one of the deadliest fighters of the warped voices, though he prefers to fight alone.

Paranoid -> Hysterical: Is more of a nervous wreck than ever. She always keeps a close eye on the other voices, especially Opportunist, in case they do anything rash and dangerous. Constantly in a state of panic, she can’t afford to trust anyone anymore, not even her fellow voices. The only one she trusts is Hero because he understands her paranoia more than anyone and is always there for her. Because of this, the two have become closer than ever.

Opportunist -> Cutthroat: Believes that staying on the side of the warped voices makes him feel more powerful and likable. And even so, he wants more. Instead of fighting like the other voices, he assigns himself as Hero’s assistant by appealing to him and always agreeing with his decisions. When he overhears that a new group of voices have appeared, he believes he has what it takes to convince them to join the “winning side”.

The ‘New’ Voices - Team LQ

Broken: The first of the ‘new voices’ to be awakened by LQ after They were exiled. Hopeless, small, and fragile, they believe that they are beyond saving and deserve every horrible thing that is being put upon them for committing a sin so great. Despite being unable to do anything, they are always seen with LQ, serving as some sort of comfort for Them. They understand LQ’s misery and wallows with Them, crying about how pathetic they both are.

Hunted: A voice awakened from LQ’s desire to hide and survive from the wrath of the warped voices. Out of the new voices, it is the only one capable of fighting against the warped voices and relies on its pure instinct, heightened senses, and swiftness. Despite this, it is still no match for Stubborn, Cold, and Cheated. It is very protective of its allies and swears to keep them safe at all costs.

Skeptic: A voice awakened by LQ’s self doubt and questions if They can change and make amends. He works alongside Hunted to find the best strategies to help LQ, as well as the other voices, survive and keep Them safe. Despite this, he is somewhat insecure about being unable to fight for himself, since he had been severely beaten up by Stubborn several times. Although he is intelligent and observant, he wishes he could be more useful in dire situations.

Smitten: The last voice awakened by LQ’s reminiscence of the Princess. While the other new voices have no memory of the Princess, Smitten is the only one who remembers her. Wistful but hopeful, He firmly believes that LQ has to keep on living and never lose hope so that They can make things right again, especially for her sake. Though this mindset starts to waver as he learns about the truth behind LQ’s past actions…

Contrarian: One of LQ’s original voices, but after feeling left out by them, he runs away and joins LQ. He still likes to make jokes every now and then, but it only helps in cheering LQ up. Part of him wonders if everything would be so much better without him…while he gets along well with the new voices, he misses Hero and wonders if his close friend is doing well without him. He has no hard feelings towards LQ and feels relieved that they share something in common.

Also thinking of changing Captive to Guilty? The Guilty works.. might be paired with Cheated (succeeded in freeing the Princess but gets killed anyway)? Still not sure which Voice to pair with Villainess tbh.

Chapter II : The Villain

Kind of inspired by those Revenge plot Villainess female leads. Very attractive, yes./lh

Get her by trying to free the (Sinister) Princess in chapter I. She's not very discreet about wanting revenge (on the people who locked her up) in chapter I and emphasizes on it in chapter II.

You find her tangled up in chains. If you didn't bring the blade, she asks you, her darling assistant, to help her out.

1. If you do help her detangle herself, she breaks the little chain fairly easily (and a few bones maybe. But she doesn't seem to mind.)

2. If you don't and try to leave she'll get angry and trap you with her. "If I have to stay here for another second, I'm keeping you with me" You could ask her to let you go and she'll reply with "Oh, don't think I'd trust you to not just leave me here again." It'll probably play out similarly like the non-headless Prisoner vessel? I'm still not sure about that one.

If you did bring the blade she'll be a little more on guard but still have her playful-ish personality. "Are you here to free me? So thoughtful of you to bring that little knife with you, but we won't need it." You could just detangle her like the bladeless variant

If you try to fight her, she'll retaliate. She uses the chains to her advantage like the Prisoner but she's a lot less hesitant to kill you.

3. If you kill her, you'll get to a shared chapter III with The Guilty. It'll be kind of like the Grey where you don't have much choice, but I'm still thinking about how it'll go. Maybe something with the theme of execution.

4. If you give up and die, you'll get to her "evolved" chapter III with themes of being "trapped" or stripped of choice (like Cage and HEA). Also not sure how this'll go yet!

Chapter II : The Guilty

Somewhat Inspired by any Woe Is Me character..

Get her by trying to free the (Somber) Princess in chapter I. She's not very motivated in doing much of anything but she still wants to live and escape the cabin. After she kills you and the cabin doesn't let her leave, she's completely distraught. Believes that she can't leave no matter how hard she tries, at least not without you.

You find her with a shackle around her neck like the Prisoner, but it's incredibly rusted and loose. You could free her just by pulling it over her head.

1. If you do free her by pulling off the shackles, she'll thank you and self deprecate a little, maybe even hesitating to leave. You could assure her and she'll believe you and finally move on

2. If you don't assure her, she might spiral. "What if my leaving actually hurts everyone?" And for funny reasons she'll start questioning everything (why does that remind me of Skeptic.) and jab at real life issues maybe. As she gets more distressed, her art style gets either more and more realistic or abstract until she is taken away by the Shifting Mound.

3. You could kill her after assuring her that she could be free, and get the shared chapter II with The Villain. She'll feel betrayed but think it was inevitable.

If you kill her before the freeing-part, you'll also end up with the shared chapter II but she might say different things/be less hostile, but it still ends the same.

For Guilty, I haven't decided on how to get her to the "lack of choice"/ her "evolved" chapter III.

Found this blog recently and I can't believe that there's someone who also thinks about a lawlight slay the princess au. I remembered thinking that princess/the shifting mound felt so similar to Light. With how she just becomes whatever people perceive her as, not unlike Light. Gosh I even made fanart that has just be rotting in my wip folder for months now. Maybe I should finish it one day.

I think I mentioned this in a post before but I first played stp while still knee-deep in my dn hyperfixation, so I Immediately thought of dn parallels as I was playing it (specifically between the shifting mound and Light as you mentioned. The second I heard the narrator say "She will lie, she will cheat, and she will do everything in her power to stop you from slaying her. Dont believe a word she says." my brain went "Oh! Light Yagami")

Also ofc my obsession with death note as a multiverse, the fact that there are so many versions of Light and L's personalities/relationship/dynamic, just like how theres are so many versions of The Long Quiet/Shifting Mound's relationship oughhhh you See the vision right

3. Favorite Vessel?

Shit I had to think about that now

For wholesome, I go with Thorn. How we got to her hits me personally, as someone who had a couple of years where I wasn't the best person (I didn't backstab anyone tho, obviously), and reconciliation was tough, but it was something I needed to want and do.

For the sweet sweet angst, the Wraith, MOC and Wild take the cake. You have to royally screw em over to get them and I feel for what they have become, as a result of Larry's (LQ) actions. It hurts my soul to see the voices hurt but we had it coming.

5. Favorite Voice?

Strictly canon speaking, as much as I wanna say "all of em", bc I do, I have to go with Hero. I like him so much I turned him into a woman/hj. I am a sucker for characters whose main trait is undying loyalty, and Hero is that but more. His presence in all the routes made me attached to him, and how those routes shaped him made me laugh, cry and wanna hug him. In my headcanon, that would belong to the Opportunist. I know he's an asshole and I love him in spite of that, I also like to think about the potential of him learning to curb his backstabbing nature and start to form genuine connection with people, but is fighting against his own instincts, and the impression he has already left on the voices and vessels. Guilt eats him alive, every day and the angst potential there lol. I am sucker for redemption story.

Seriously, I fell in love with so many voice ships that I just made em a polycule and that opened up to a TON of ideas about internal dynamic (That I may or may not be willing to share).

Top 3 voice ships that I talked a lot about: ColdHero, CheatedBroken, Stubtunist (yes really)

Princesses....uhhh...I don't touch em alone, ngl. At least in terms of shipping. Some are cute but I don't actively think about em. But I do have some Princess and voice ships.

- Thorn and Opportunist: I know I know him and the Witch fit more, but this follows my idea for Oppy i said above. So him getting together with the woman he backstabbed, got stabbed in returned and then chose to free gives me free serotonin. They are so domestic, it sickens me (affectionate)

- Stubborn and Adversary/Eye of the Needle: very basic but I love it. I am all for violence as an expression of love (not irl, obviously). And there is sooo much you can do with em. Go all violence or make em knit sweaters for each other!! Idc I wanna see it!

- Paranoid and Spectre: are you seeing a theme of me shipping different princesses and voices? Yes, and I am not sorry. This is part of an AU I am making and that made me think of different dynamics. The Nightmare is cool, but I don't want Para to constantly be chanting, so the Spectre is a good compromise between spooky and "I can see it working out".

- Smitten and Tower: this a guilty pleasure. I am a sucker for big woman who thinks she is hot shit meets a man who hypes her TF up. I lean towards platonic with this one (Tower seeing Smitten as a devoted follower, while Smitten is completely lovestruck) but one can make the argument that it can be romantic. Hell, the fandom did it with Broken and Tower. Speaking of...

15. Least favorite ship(s)

- Tower and Broken: This is less explicit hate and more biased discomfort. The Tower reminds me of...someone I met who acted the way she was kinda and now I just hate those types of people from the get-go. Add that with Broken, a voice that advocates submitting to her, and you are not seeing me putting this ship in a good light. No hate to anyone who can and do make em more wholesome tho, that I can take.

- Razor and Cheated: same reason as the one on top, my past relationship with people made me dislike this ship (and the Razor in general honestly). Also I get REALLY attached to characters who take Ls a lot, so I just want Cheated to have nice things. And really? Who wouldn't?

That's pretty much it. You have to screw up BAD for me to not see the potential in a ship. And these 2 up top, i don't mind if others ship em, or if I see fanart, my own experiences just make em icky for me.

I haven't dared to start chopping up my new freetom yet... I went back to wearing my old snoop one and honestly I can't believe it was even made by the same company. And now I'm wearing my CalExotics one again and it's also pretty good, probably my favourite balance of comfort and stp-ability.

So I'm annoyed that I impulse bought the robin hood. And I'm thinking should try to sell it rather than "fix" it, because even if I scrape the walls of it really thin I'm doubtful it'll ever be anything like my snoop. But at the same time I'd feel guilty selling something I don't consider wearable to anyone else.

Did freetom used to offer "soft" and "hard" versions of their stps? I have a dim recollection they did. I think my snoop must have been soft, and when I bought the new one there wasn't an option and it's clearly "hard".

FAVORITE THING ABOUT THEM

Probably how reliable he is in general. I feel like he’s probably the voice that is the most loyal to Quiet alongside Hero. He just really doesn’t seem like the type of character to have any hidden agenda underneath his actions. He’s just, when he thinks of something, he’d just do it instinctively. I love how he just focuses on the now and what’s happening around him, and doesn’t rely on what he sees only. He’s a really simple guy and all he really wants is safety. And I really like that about him. (The contrast between him and Oppy is glaring here)

And also despite the fact that instinct is a big part that makes him “him”, he’s not completely feral and still holds that humanity inside of him. I think he’s pretty darn neat.

Gotta say Hunted and Witch. Hunted pairs well with many other voices and vessels, but the thought of two semi-feral characters interacting with each other is kind of adorable to me. Just. Similar brain wave signals. Vrrrrrrrr. Y’know.

Witch would just sniff Hunted and be like “hmmm he doesn’t smell like a liar to me” and she would just be chilling with him with half an eye closed and half of it open. Just in case. And Hunted just sees her as someone who’s gotten hurt. And had to fight back like a scared animal. So I think he would empathise with her. Idk.

Stubborn and Hunted is a good one too. I could imagine Stubborn and Hunted just sparring with each other whenever they could. The battle always ends in a stalemate though, since Hunted just dodges Stubborn’s attacks most of the time. And by the time Hunted is tired dodging Stubborn is tired as well. But knowing Stubborn he would try to throw a punch at him anyway. And then failing cause they have bodies now. Stubborn takes it as a challenge and is thrilled to see what other stuff Hunted could do. Unstoppable force vs Immovable object.

And the mental thought of Stubborn throwing Hunted like a Pokeball and be like “Hunted I choose you” is just so funny to me. And. Just. Hunted riding on Stubborn’s shoulder. So cute.

RANDOM HEADCANON

He would sometimes bite the other voices to show affection. If he is feeling really bite-y that day he would just find something to chew on just so he won’t accidentally hurt the others.

Also, the current smaller form you see of him is not his full form. That’s just him holding back his more feral side, and hence why he looks so tiny. He’s way taller and stronger than he looks.

A more antsy head canon I’ve got for him is that a part of him always have this urge to consume the other voices since they are technically parts of the same guy. He feels really guilty about feeling this way. When that feeling is too strong he would lock himself away from the flock until it passes.

UNPOPULAR OPINION

(This is becoming less of an unpopular opinion and more of a ramble as I’m writing this, but I’m just gonna keep this here because I think this is pretty interesting)

I feel like he would take an integral role in helping the other voices in fighting against their nature, since he is so used to doing that himself. Many of the fics I’ve read where the voices are starting to become more complex and more than their nature often doesn’t mention Hunted at all. He would definitely take a role in helping the voices manage their own urges in a way that doesn’t hurt anyone, knowing how he empathises with Den despite everything she has done to them.

He shines the most when he is paired with Oppy regarding this. Oppy embraces his own nature, and often times to his own detriment. Hunted wouldn’t trust him, but he would still protect and look after him anyway since he is still a part of the flock. If Oppy ever shows an ounce of genuine interest in fighting against his urge to betray people for his own benefit, Hunted would be one of the first ones to help and encourage him.

I gotta admit, Qcard is a guilty pleasure cause while I can totally see Q’s affection for him, I don’t think it would really be logical in canon for Picard to return Q’s feelings. It seems he only really tolerated Q at the end of TNG. If only the writers developed their relationship more afterwards, then maybe. If Q isn’t in STP then I guess it means the new creators don’t care. Still, I’m drawn to the pairing because of the dynamics at play.

Yeah, honestly, me too. It's a knife-edge of control and balance and power play from two people who can never back down, both because of who they are and for the thrill of the chase. Their personalities clash spectacularly but also merge wonderfully - it's insane how similar they actually are. Rebellious, intelligent, only truly happy in space, a relative curiosity to others around them, commanding, eccentric... it goes on and on, yet they're still completely themselves. It's intoxicating as hell.

TNG ended with their shaky friendship, after they had both learned to compromise and started to understand each other; Q slowly becomes more human throughout the show, and Picard slowly learns to think far bigger, because they both have the potential to be so much more than they began as. To see an older, more bitter Picard be able to build on that, with a Q who would have been through a civil war and parenthood, who would darker and more cynical, who realised now what it was to fight for what he believed in? My god, that is a hell of an opportunity, and it would be frankly criminal to waste it, because from where they've come from to where they'd be now? That is a Q Picard could love, a being who is calmer, softer, warmer, still with all the wondrous qualities that Picard eventually grew to recognise in the first place.
