Anyway so do you guys think the Strato colony teenagers who left Earth were generally already assigned their job (like Besk the colony psychologist at the tender age of 16) or do you think some of their jobs were figured out on the way? Like, I imagine there would have been at least some kids who were 13 or younger (Utopia was youngest being a toddler but she is implied to be the only one in her age cohort in both directions).

Either way I personally headcanon that they had to do some work reshuffling after landing on Vertumna, what with the catastrophic levels of food insecurity. If every person who could be spared was shuffled into working in Geoponics, it would also explain why Anne was running kinda ragged — I mean, having the same person as the main person in charge of both kitchens and the creche is pretty insane the more you think about it.

There is a post about What If Ramona Flowers Had To Fight Scott's Evil Exes by @emptyjunior, and I wanted to expand on that because I feel like I have some really good ideas, and I want other people to have access to them because I know that I'm not going to do anything with them

I think it would make sense to swap other things about the plot, because part of the story is that Ramona is new and mysterious (partially because of her being in scott's dreams), and also that she moved to Toronto to get away from her final evil ex (gideon) and start fresh. So in a swap AU, I would have it take place in the US (probably NYC because that's where Ramona was living before she moved). Scott is an aspiring musician who just moved to NY to get away from the toronto music scene and more specifically his exes, and works as a pizza delivery boy or something

Ramona would need a hobby to take the place of scott's band, and I think it would make sense to put her on a roller derby team with Roxy because ramona wears roller blades in both the comics and the show, and Roxy is drawn wearing roller skates in the comic.

we would need more people to be Ramona's Friends, and the two options (IMO) are to either move the characters that are scott's friends/surrounding scott to be ramona's friends, or to make up OCs to be ramonas friends. I would opt for the former, simply because then I can use characters that already exist but either would work.

I think that the League would be Knives' idea, because in the comics she was really bitter about the breakup between her and scott, but then Wallace can be the one who orchestrated a lot of it so that he can be the final battle.

the battle order could maybe be Knives -> Lisa -> Natalie/Envy Adams -> Kim -> knives again -> Wallace. Knives goes first because she's freshly broken up with and blind with fury, so it can get played off a little the way mathew patel's battle did in the comics. then we go mostly in chronological order, to continue paralleling moments from the comics (famous actor, "hey jsyk the person in that band with my ex is the person you'll have to fight). I don't really know what to do with kim, but I feel her energy could be similar to that of roxy's

There's a gap where it would make sense to have a 5th battle. it could be alternate timeline ramona as suggested in the original post, but i think it would make sense to have knives have a training arc off screen and come back for a second battle, during which she tells ramona her issues with scott. this could be the cheating thing and maybe also a "he just used me as a rebound/to get over envy"

And then there's wallace. I that in this AU, scott and wallace do something in collage, but it's "just experimenting/messing around" and then them being roomates culminates in a series of one night stands with heavy romantic undertones (maybe all while scott is dating knives!!) and this is the final straw for wallace who has been pining for scott since college

This of course leads back to the league being the idea of Knives (who was cheated on and ghosted and rightfully angry) but orchestrated by both her and Wallace (because wallace knows more about scotts past and would be better able to connect with the other exes, and also has enough built up emotion to be a fina battle)

Biology

You literally become the prey you consume to more easily seduce and isolate prey

You take on physical traits of the people you drink (hair colour and such)

If you consume someone who has a genetic disease it affects you as well and any vampire you spawn may gain it as well

Personality

You consume more than just blood but also the very essence of who they are and until you've "digested" that fully your personality shifts towards theirs, you have their memories and struggle to tell which memories are yours, their view of the world becomes part of yours. If you aren't prepared for this anything you consume may become permanent.

Your prey joins you in your head after consumption and while you may be in control it is slowly slipping away as the chorus grows in strength.

The more you drink your favourite type of people you long to become more like them as you start adopting their habits and patterns.

The miscellaneous stuff

You gain their spells/skills/abilities though for a superhero story there could be a wonderful imposter syndrome story there where a vampire villain has to take over from the superhero they just drank and killed after it turns out the superhero was actually really important to keeping everyone safe. They do still have to suck blood and all that though and over the course of the story you could have the conflict of wanting more power but not the responsibility be a big theme.

HSR x Fate UBW coming in Q3 2025 !

(I write these in mind for anyone doesn't know Fate series at all)

For now it's unknown will it come with stories or just skin or full pack with playable UBW character

Not long ago HSR had interview with FGO team, the magazine only release their Q&A but considering both side love each other project, these collab shouldn't really suprising. If there's suprising fact is why only UBW not FGO directly ? Since there is no info about collab details, let's make some analysis for now :

FGO especially Fate series is really big world ! If you need comparasion, it's not only Honkai Impact world but all Hoyoverse become one and you need to know at least a bit of each title to make sense about Fate series !

Continuing point above, which is the reason they gave us years for this collab ! Their developer consider years should be enough for player to quick read most Fate series franchise (lol)

Fate as whole already into their 20 years old now so it's kinda impossible for anyone to learn that series from start (even I only know fifty percent of it). So to make it simple, they just pick their well known franchise but not making players too confused about their world building which is Fate Stay Night. UBW is decent choice considering what's happened with other two.

If anyone need comparasion, UBW kinda like GGZ in term of popularity and reminiscing (lol) while FGO kinda like former Genshin in term of popularity.

I kinda saw FGO pretty desperate nowdays or maybe they're already out of idea to promote Fate series onward. For anyone doesn't know, FGO was the king of mobile gacha games but after Genshin release their revenue drop sharply and with more Chinese gacha games out lately, you can say now it's their lowest situations so to be honest Fate series feels like gonna dying sooner or later which is this collab came.

I can say for sure that this collab came from HSR side since those otaku ops growth like now while watching/reading Fate series (lol) so I think there's no way HSR or even Fate team will slack off especially for storytelling since it's Fate main selling (if there's one for collab later lol)

Onto collab prediction since it's specifically UBW, means the main character is either Rin or/and Emiya. Maybe anyone still not read questionable leaks but there's info this collab need two version to finish means there's at least four and max six new character avaliable later. Considering UBW stories, I can think of Saber and Gilgamesh or maybe Kirei can join the roaster too.

Now for everyone who doesn't know Fate series and need pointer for later collab, first please watch Fate Stay Night, it have three titles with same story premise but different PoV with different ending (Fate Stay Night 24 episode -> Fate Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works 1 movie -> Fate Stay Night Heaven's Feel 3 parts movie). Next it's Fate Stay Night prologue, Fate Zero 24 episode and you're good to breakthrough the collab only.

Sounds simple right, which is the reason they choose Unlimited Blade Works for collab. If FGO, you could swarm yourself with 9 years FGO lore materials + other works with and without "Fate" titles on it (lol)

Mortal Kombat Deity! AU: The Demigods

Part One to introducing the characters of my Deity! AU is the demigods. Turns out they were a little easier to create the foundations for than I thought. I’m working on the gods’ foundations at the moment so hopefully they’ll be up soon too.

Raiden, the Lightning Rod.

His focus: an amulet gifted to him by Liu Kang.

Raiden is a member of a group called “Defenders of Earthrealm”, who task themselves with keeping threats to the mortal plane at bay at the request of the gods who patron them.

Soft spoken and diplomatic, he’d rather try to talk things out first before zapping them to a crisp with his electrical powers.

Kung Lao, the Shaolin Great

His focus: a sharp-edged hat he made himself.

Kung Lao joined the Defenders of Earthrealm at the same time as Raiden, wanting to live up to his family’s legacy as a clan of great fighters and guardians.

He makes and maintains his own equipment and weapons after an incident that involved an ill-made piece of equipment and a prank that went too far; he has a scar on his stomach from this that only Raiden has seen (he knows the story behind it, too).

Johnny Cage, the Walk of Famer

His focus: a pair of expensive sunglasses.

A tech whiz, Johnny supplies and maintains the Defenders’ technology; he gets the supplies through his connections in Hollywood, amongst other places.

He prefers to hide how intelligent he is by cracking bad jokes and innuendos to make him appear air-headed; he likes to draw in his opponents with his charms and then go for the uppercut.

Kenshi Takahashi, the Spirit Caller

His focus: a family sword called Sento.

After being blinded during his service to the Yakuza, Kenshi uses the power of his ancestors residing in Sento to move around a space and fight his enemies; Liu Kang’s demigod blessing amplified his power.

He claims that Johnny irritates him to no end, but he knows that without his noise Kenshi would likely have not joined the Defenders and remained with the Yakuza.

Mileena, the Firstborn Guardian

Her focus: her royal mask.

As the first-born daughter of the Goddess of Judgement and Protection, Sindel, Mileena has a condition called Tarkat which causes facial deformities and an uncontrollable urge to eat human flesh. (No one, not even the Eon, know why or how this occurs to the first-born children only.)

She is fiercely protective of her sister and girlfriend; she is the embodiment of Sindel’s guardian virtue as Empress of the mortal plane.

Kitana, the Royal Butterfly

Her focus: her dual fan weapons.

While she’s beautiful and she’s aware of it, Kitana isn’t afraid to get bloody to protect those she considers close to her - currently, that is only her family.

When she isn’t fighting, dealing with court politics or assisting Mileena with her daily duties, she can often be found by herself engrossed in a book (when they were children, she used to read to Mileena after her Tarkat episodes to help calm her down).

it confuses me when people are all "astarion doesn't like sex" like did we play the same game? it's not about the sex, not inherently. astarion clearly enjoys sex when it's on his terms and performed without ulterior motives. it's about the objectification, the being seen as nothing more than a tool for pleasure. he's had every scrap of pleasure and connection turned into cruelty and evil for centuries. of course his first reaction when free is to fear torture. you win his heart by not trying to have sex with him again after he expresses his feelings about being seen as a sex object, being kind without the expectation of repayment, and allowing him to choose when to initiate what he wants. he heals on his own time, and his own terms, and reclaims his agency and sexuality for himself when he feels comfortable. it's a reward for *him*, not you. reducing that down to "astarion is sex repulsed" squashes all the nuances of his sexuality

i had such a blast watching this new season of arcane omfg...... i know some ppl didn't like it but idc imo it's an awesome show from beginning to end i freaking loved it!!!!!!!! it makes my brain itch <3 everyone who worked on it is SOOOOO fucking talented it's insane. it was a love letter to art and collaborative worldbuilding to the very end. i also have so much fun coming up w my own version of it, what i would've done differently, my own interpretation of the characters etc!

the show started with 15 ppl working on it to now 500+ ?????? like that's just CRAZY dedication. managing that huge number of creative people with all their different ideas must have been so crazy and exhilirating. it's incredibly impressive that it was done in the first place for an animated series like this. i hope this will be the beginning of a new era where netflix & other platforms invest more in animated shows, especially ones with sapphic ships!! thank u arcane staff! 🫶
