Random Stormrage Twins headcanons that I can’t keep to myself anymore
The reason Illidan sometimes shortens Malfurion’s name to just Furion is that the twins used to be so inseparable that people seldom said one’s name without the other’s. Over time, “Illidan and Malfurion” became just “Illidan and Furion” because that’s what sometimes happens when you have an unstressed syllable in the middle of a phrase.
Illidan is the older of the two, and because of his status as the chosen one, people would often ignore his little brother or dismiss him as the spare twin. These people would often get beaten up by Illidan.
When they were children, the two were disappointed that they didn’t share hair and eye colour, because that meant they could not play tricks by switching around.
Their parents were a huntress from Lorlathil and a suramarian Moon Guard sorcerer. They died while fighting a forest fire when the twins were 20 years old (which is about 13 in human years). The brothers soon found that they could not bear to stay in Lorlathil where everyone knew them and kept pitying them, so they enrolled in the Nar’thalas Academy. Once a week, all students were permitted to leave the academy grounds for a day. The brothers would always spend their day off in Suramar, which is how they met Tyrande Whisperwind.
They originally both planned to join the Moon Guard after graduating.
At the start of the War of the Ancients, they were 30 years old, which is 19 in human years.
All elven twins are blessed (or cursed) by Elune to always know whether their other half lives of not (this is sort of canon). When Illidan died at the Black Temple, it was the pain of that loss that caused Malfurion to get distracted and fall into the Nightmare’s clutches.
Although Malfurion was not present at the Siege of the Nighthold, the two met shortly after Illidan’s resurrection. The words that were exchanged were
Malfurion: I cannot tell you you were right. But I understand now why you did what you did. And I am sorry for not understanding earlier.
Illidan: I know I had not made it easy for you to understand. You need not apologise.
The two agreed that while there were a lot of things left to work out between them, they were both tired of being angry with the other.
(the following in not canon compliant)
After the Third Invasion of the Burning Legion, Illidan returned to Azeroth to help deal with the remnants of the Legion. He then ventured to Outland and former Legion worlds to do the same, which is why he was not present for the War of the Thorns. He rushed back to Azeroth when he felt his Malfurion die and was greatly relieved to learn that Tyrande had dragged him back from the brink of death.

tell us about harlowwwww plz (if u feel like it)
Yessssssssss it's Harlow time BABEY. I'm just gonna throw out some completely not interconnected thoughts about various things from the series I don't think I've talked about yet.
Harlow Stormrage has a bad case of "I can fix him" syndrome and honestly considering the fact that she got the dude who hated her the most to be her ally in the first book, it's entirely understandable.
Harlow and Tiger's moms were like literally the best friends ever. Just two cool adventurer ladies who go on their little journeys and then like... Disappear never to be seen again.
There are multiple characters who originally were only gonna show up in the last two books but their characters were so flat. I just had them so I could have like... the people, if that makes any sense. But most of them I did create some book plots to throw in there and now they're some of my fave characters (y'all who know how much I love the Karlsson twins would think I was crazy for how they are barely there in the original plots. Holly and Eerikki Karlsson im so sorry)
Also sort of building off of that last point, the character of Harlow's dad was supposed to be like completely irredeemable in the first ideas of the book. He really sucked. And then he was supposed to die in the last book, not even as an act of heroic sacrifice. Just like... Oof he's dead. And it was supposed to be Harlow struggling with the fact that she missed and grieved him even though he was a shit dad. But when I added more than just the three books, I expanded on his character and I was like "okay I can work with this way better" and now he feels like a normal person. And based on how I wrote Harlow's mom, I don't think she would've married someone who was a complete and total asshole. Of course he does still make the god awful decision to disown Harlow at one point but then it's explained later, and while it's not excusable, it does make more sense as to why he did it. And after Tiger "dies" (he's fine. Could you imagine if he wasn't? Gosh that would've been awful if I had actually decided to kill him off. Let's just say y'all do NOT want to hear what I wrote for the original final scene of the books it's depressing as shit) Harlow's dad is way more human and sympathetic to his mourning child and like it's a whole thing where he finally sees her as a child.
Y'all I'm constantly reminding myself "oh yeah these characters are babies. What." Like when I started the books I was as old as Harlow in book one. Now I'm as old as like Careless in the last book. (Also I hated Careless when I was 12. Now he's my fave I love my archer son)
Y'all I need y'all to know the amount of characters that we're originally supposed to die in the last book but I got too attached. Like obvi there was Harlows dad and Tiger (Yeah weird literally why did I do that) but there was also like half of the mentioned adults (I was so ready to just invent some orphans and for why) and also Eerikki Karlsson. Who in this plot líne had like no part and there would've been no weight to his death because who even was that guy??? Anyway yeah I'm glad I got over that. 14 yo me just liked being edgy and torturing my readers ig.
Well that's all I've to say for now, thank you for your time
#I love love love when people ask me about Harlow (the.books and the character)#my posts#ask box#harlow series#If you have any other specific questions pls pls pls give them to me#Also I do still have that discord server. There's like four of us now

day 2 - favourite character of favourite race
Couldn't choose one:
Fandral Staghelm, later Majordomo Staghelm, was the former Archdruid of Darnassus, succeeding Malfurion Stormrage after he was lost in the Emerald Nightmare. Fandral played a key role in the War of the Shifting Sands, but lost his only child. His planting of Andrassil unintentionally induced the later appearance of the Emerald Nightmare. He was one of the architects of the plan to create Teldrassil, and believed that the future of the night elves demanded more expansionism and military planning. His radical beliefs and aggressive demeanor often led him to quarrel openly with the High Priestess, Tyrande Whisperwind. After it was revealed that he had been corrupted by the Nightmare Lord and had prolonged Malfurion's absence, Fandral eventually descended into madness and was imprisoned by the Cenarion Circle. He was later captured by the Twilight's Hammer cult on route to Moonglade from Mount Hyjal and turned into the first Druid of the Flame, becoming the new Majordomo of the Firelands, until he was killed during the final battle against Ragnaros the Firelord. Malfurion Stormrage was the first mortal druid on Azeroth, and the night elf who initiated the mainstream use of druidism among the kaldorei people ten millennia ago under tutelage of the demigod Cenarius. He is the twin brother of Illidan Stormrage, as well as the loving and beloved husband of the high priestess of Elune, Tyrande Whisperwind. Together, the two have represented the highest leadership of the night elves ever since the fall of Queen Azshara and her Highborne caste. Through Malfurion's guidance, the night elves successfully halted the Burning Legion's first invasion of Azeroth during the legendary War of the Ancients. In its aftermath, he became the greatest of the world's archdruids. Illidan Stormrage, commonly known as the Betrayer, is the first of the demon hunters, the former self-proclaimed Lord of Outland, the former ruler of the Black Temple, and the original leader of the Illidari. He is the twin brother of Malfurion Stormrage and was, like his sibling, in love with Tyrande Whisperwind. Originally a powerful night elf sorcerer, Illidan officially betrayed his people by defecting to the demonic Burning Legion during the War of the Ancients, though his reasons for doing so were noble as he secretly aimed to repel the Legion's invasion.[13] He eventually returned to the side of his fellow night elves, but his creation of a second Well of Eternity at the end of the war caused his people to name him "Betrayer" and imprison him in the Barrow Deeps below Mount Hyjal. There he remained for over 10,000 years, watched over by the warden Maiev Shadowsong and her Watchers.

Estel'ien knew the Stormrage twins in their youth, though she was a bit younger than them. She always admired their ambition and was close friends with Illidan, and the two loved each other but said nothing. Estel'ien lost contact when she was pressured by her family to join the Sisterhood of Elune. She joined despite her apprehension and desire for something more that she couldn't put her finger on
They'd be reunited when she finally decided to join the Illidari after hearing about Illidan's endeavors. She wanted to forge her own identity beyond what her family wants her to be. The reunion was bittersweet, Illidan had gone through countless hardships since the last time they'd seen each other. However, the love they still felt for each other was still apparent

The Mysterious Background of Illidan Stormrage
Illidan Stormrage, one of the most enigmatic and complex figures in the World of Warcraft (WoW) universe, has captivated players with his multifaceted personality and intricate backstory. Known as the Betrayer, Illidan’s journey is a tale of power, sacrifice, and redemption that spans millennia. This article delves into Illidan's mysterious background, his pivotal role in Azeroth's history, and how WoW boosting services can help players explore his story in-depth.
The Early Years: A Gifted Night Elf
Illidan Stormrage was born over 10,000 years ago in the ancient night elf civilization. Alongside his twin brother, Malfurion, Illidan was destined for greatness. Unlike his brother, who embraced druidism, Illidan was drawn to the arcane arts, showcasing exceptional magical talent from a young age. This fascination with magic set him on a path that would ultimately lead to both his rise and fall.
Illidan's early life was marked by his unrequited love for Tyrande Whisperwind, who favored his brother Malfurion. This love triangle would influence many of Illidan's decisions and add to the complexity of his character.
The War of the Ancients: Turning Point
The War of the Ancients was a critical turning point in Illidan's life. During this catastrophic conflict, the Burning Legion attempted to invade Azeroth. Seeking power to combat the demons, Illidan betrayed his people by allying with the Legion. He consumed the waters of the Well of Eternity, enhancing his powers but marking himself as a traitor. His actions earned him the title "Betrayer" among his fellow night elves.
Despite his betrayal, Illidan played a crucial role in the Legion’s defeat. He was eventually imprisoned for his actions, remaining in stasis for thousands of years. His imprisonment only fueled his enigmatic and misunderstood persona.
The Demon Hunter: Embracing Darkness
Illidan's story took another dramatic turn when he was released from his prison during the Third War. Driven by a desire to combat the Burning Legion, he consumed the Skull of Gul'dan, transforming into a demon hybrid and gaining immense power. This transformation led him to form the Illidari, a group of demon hunters dedicated to eradicating the Legion.
As a demon hunter, Illidan's methods were often extreme and ruthless, further cementing his reputation as a controversial figure. His actions during this period, including his attempted use of the Eye of Sargeras to destroy the Lich King, showcased his willingness to embrace darkness to achieve his goals.
The Betrayer: Lord of Outland
Illidan's quest for power and vengeance against the Legion led him to Outland, where he established himself as its ruler. In the Burning Crusade expansion, players confronted Illidan in the Black Temple, culminating in a climactic battle. Despite his defeat, Illidan's complex motivations and ultimate goal of protecting Azeroth from the Legion were gradually revealed.
Redemption and Legacy
Illidan's legacy continued in the Legion expansion, where his story took a redemptive turn. Resurrected to combat the renewed threat of the Burning Legion, Illidan played a central role in the fight against the demonic forces. His unwavering commitment to defeating the Legion, even at great personal cost, highlighted his transformation from a power-hungry outcast to a savior of Azeroth.
Illidan’s final fate saw him choosing to remain in the Seat of the Pantheon, ensuring the Legion’s permanent defeat. His journey from a gifted night elf to a complex anti-hero embodies themes of sacrifice, redemption, and the blurred lines between good and evil.
Enhancing Your WoW Experience with Boosting Services
Exploring Illidan Stormrage’s intricate narrative can be a daunting task, especially with the extensive content in World of Warcraft. Illidan Month: Day 11-Family. Today, I decided to draw both of the Stormrage twins, because it's been a while since I've drawn Malfurion. I love the way this one turned out! The only thing I wish I'd done differently is that I wish I had Malfurion a bit less in the background... But I already really liked the way Illidan was looking, so I didn't want to mess him up.

which stormrage bro is more cringe?
so being a fraternal twin is inherently kind of cringe cause like what’s the reason for all of that. illidan definitely does more cringe things on a consistent basis because he has the twin complex about not being as cool as the other one but the other one is literally malfurion so like. lol

DWC May Day 7 - Humility/Pride
“It was power I sought… but not to conquer or rule. It was a means to an end, to save Azeroth from an unstoppable foe.” Illidan Stormrage
There was nothing like losing one of the most important people in your life to humble you.
The letter was sent as fast as it could be to Rowena and Roxxanna, from their older sister, Phoebe, that still lived with their aging father. It was marked ‘urgent’ and highly suggested the twins make haste to their father’s home, as he was fading quickly. As soon as they got the letter, the girls threw together a bag, saddled their horses, and prepared for the ride north, where their sister and father resided in the Red Ridge Mountains.
Somehow, they made it in time. All three girls surrounded Earl’s bed, Rowena and Roxxanna clutching his hands as he told him how proud he was of them, and how much he loved them, one last time, before he went to join their mother in the afterlife. Roxxanna prayed that Earl was able to join Lillian, wherever she might be.
Rowena prepared their father’s body for burial, and together, with his body in a casket in the back of a wagon, the three girls set off to bury him beside their mother in Gilneas. That trip took a little longer with the wagon, but they made it, and were able to hire a few young men to dig the grave before they had a small, grave-side ceremony, with their cousin Truedelle in attendance as well.
“Won’t be the same without ‘em next year,” Rowena said through tears. Phoebe draped her arm around her younger sister’s shoulders and hugged her.
“No, it won’t, that’s for sure. But he’s with ma now, and I know that would make him happy. As would seeing us thrive, even without them.”
Rowena nods and wipes at her eyes, holding out her hand to Roxie and True. The other two girls join them, and just hug each other for a long, quiet moment.
“Thank you for being with him, Pheebs. It’s good to know he wasn’t alone,” Roxxanna said to her older sister, who nodded in return. Phoebe knew Roxie wanted to be there, but the distance between Stormwind and Silverpine was great, and that’s where the priestess’ work was. Once Phoebe determined Earl was not going to recover from his illness, even with the finest doctors treating him, she convinced him to move closer to the big city where his other two girls lived.
It had been the correct decision, Phoebe reminded herself, even if had meant a long, arduous journey, and lots of complaining, on both their parts. But it also meant that Nena and Roxie could visit more often, and stay longer when they did.
The girls left the cemetery near dark and headed for an inn to settle in for the night. They pooled their gold together and got a large room all four of them could share, and spent quite a few hours reminiscing. Finally, sleep took them.
“I shall look into getting a headstone for da, and a new one of ma, when we return to the city,” Roxxanna announced at breakfast the next morning. Phoebe nodded, but Rowena was quiet, staring down into her morning tea.
“Nena? Are you well?” Roxie asked her twin. Rowena just shrug, but finally nodded.
“I just can’t believe they’re both gone, aye?” The other three girls nodded in agreement.
“But they’re together now,” Roxie said, reaching across the table to grip Rowena’s hand.
“Aye, and that’s a comfort, sure enough. We should get on the road, tis a long way back to Stormwind still.”

Aunt Supima Jadescythe
Meet crazy Aunt Silla. Sometimes you'll see Sharpen in a different "skin" rp'ing as his own aunt, just cause a more severe character is fun to do.
A scion of a scion... Isn't that how they put it? Whenever a group of elves was threatened with extinction on Azeroth or nearly eradicated, you were spoken of as less than a person. A memory already.
When Black Rook Hold fell and I was left struggling to hold on, with only a few other survivors, there were no words for the devastation I and my comrades had seen, how destroyed we felt in their hearts. We stood watching the bleak sky, surrounded by their ravens, and the ghosts.
Ravencrest was a name that had epitomized greatness until that final battle. How to go on from there? Serving as a Black Rook Archer in a military order that was shattered and could never be put back? Could it ever serve the highest purpose it was intended for, as a real bulwark against the Legion?
I and the other remnants of house Ravencrest moved our base of operations to the Moon Guard, close to the border of Val'sharah and Suramar. The Moon Guard not only embraced us, the last of the great Ravencrest line, they understood us. Which was important because, when I and my comrades-in-arms conferred and decided that we did not want to disband nor quit our uniform or company colors, the Moon Guard allowed us to remain as we were, take up whatever last duties we felt Lord Ravencrest would have requested of us. So we, the remnants, patrolled the Night Elven borderlands, tried to ensure the military skill and technology of Black Rook Hold never fell into the wrong hands. Even that was painful when, once, whole armies of Ravencrest soldiers would have marched out to tear into the Legion with teeth, leaving these meager duties to squadrons of very green, new recruits.
But, we carried on. Then, after millenia, the Moon Guard also fell. And so I, Supima "crazy Aunt Silla" Jadescythe survived, somehow, until the modern day. I devote some of my time, whenever I can, to safeguarding my remaining family line if nothing else. And watching over my great great great... nephew Sharpen Jadescythe.
"I don't like to tell people why most of the Jadescythe family wasn't at Teldrassil when it burned, for a couple reasons. For one, my crazy Aunt Silla and her family tree stuff--she made us have a family reunion near Suramar. Suramar! Half of my family, if they even did remember us, turned Horde. It was embarrassing and no it did not go well."
After having endured so much, it's no wonder Sharpen's nutty 10,000 year-old aunt has slipped into some odd stunts, of course I would. Like having a family reunion near Suramar, now in Horde territory. I would never so easily respect what I see as superficial borders dividing up my family.
"Oh, goddess. Did I tell you about the time my crazy Aunt Silla made us have a family reunion in Draenor? Draenor! I got lost on the way, but then somehow, Maiev Shadowsong found me, she claims she is related to us. Maiev kept trying to fix me up with her creepy Warden friends who were there with her! I mean!! I can't even!!"
And then there was the other family reunion in Draenor that landed Sharpen in what he called the weirdest conversation of his life with Maiev of all people, who kept trying to fix him up with one of her Wardens. I'm sure the boy Shatpen doesn't realize his crazy Aunt Silla and Maiev go way back, and Maiev was only trying to pay an esteemed old friend Supima who's had an incredibly hard life, a favor, by looking after my extended family. In the eyes of young, foolish 300-somethings like Sharpen, that might all seem nuts.
"My crazy Aunt Silla is really big into family trees these days. However, she swears we're related to Malfurion, but not Illidan. Um, the Stormrage brothers are twins??"
And considering the level of Illidan's betrayal, an ancient Black Rook Hold archer like myself would be in turmoil knowing that my own family was related to this Stormrage twin as well, and I did attempt anything to take it back, logical or not. There is no standard of measurement for emotional pain, is there? And so, how can you contest any salve for hurt? Suffering can in fact be fathomless.
Yes. I am his crazy Aunt Silla, indeed. Funny how life is not always how it seems.
