Just so you know, this is what Mica (grimwalker Amity) from the grimwalker au looks like. None of them look as intimidating as I drew them.

Each of the grimwalkers have a certain trait from the stonesleeper or selkidomus, and she got the stonesleeper horns! The traits are there bc their creator ISN'T very good at making grimwalkers so...

(Her full name is Micaela. Camila gave it to her! She treasures Camila's opinion very much.)

new werewolf hunter au doodles + ideas :)

this does involve my oc but honestly wouldn't mind seeing huntlow interps as well at some point...

some of my ideas below!!

Hunter is made with a dire wolf heart rather than a stonesleeper heart. This is an error on Belos' part, but still yields a successful grimwalker -- just one with the ability to take the form of a wolf, abandoning his seemingly sleeping human body. Hunter does not discover this ability until his teen years.

When he realizes he can transform, he at first uses it to explore but is not only found out by Belos, but is nearly hunted down by demon hunters who value the fur of dire wolves. Aria (my oc) discovers him but does not realize the wolf is her friend. She heals and hides him from the hunters when they enter the palace, allowing him to return to his body. Belos allows him to live so long as he uses his power to hunt detractors and palismen, and soon is caught back in his work to prepare for the Day of Unity. Hunter does not question his bargain, not wishing to die.

Flapjack is a wolf in this AU! He is no specific species, and his role remains identical to his canon counterpart. Size wise, he is small, like most palismen, but he can make his size to that of a large dog if he feels the need to defend himself or Hunter.

Hunter is MUCH more sheltered in this au. Aria actually fills the role of Hunter in season 2, as Hunter has been confined to the palace following his new power's awakening. Flapjack sticks with Aria as a mysterious and elusive palisman who comes and goes from Aria's life, essentially her protector when Hunter cannot be there with her.

When Aria defects from the coven, her disappearance is heartbreaking for Hunter. He makes it his objective to search for her, leaving under the guise of serving his uncle when he is actually traversing the isles and city for his friend. He finds her when she and the other rebelling coven heads attempt to infiltrate Belos' mind.

To tie into the course of Season 2 in the canon universe, Luz has noticed the blonde wolf passing the Owl House from time to time. Its demeanor and appearance reminded her of the Golden Guard during their encounter in Hunting Palismen. She pursues him again on the night of Hollow Mind, and she as well as Aria and Hunter get dragged into Belos' mind. Following the events, Hunter returns to his body and flees from the coven shortly after, finding his way to Aria's hideout by retracing her scent from the night before. When they reunite, Hunter agrees to fight against Belos.

When Flapjack gives his life to save Hunter in season 3, Hunter gains an ability akin to Eda and Lilith's. It is at first very difficult to control, acting similar to their curses, but when he is able to come to terms with the loss of his palisman and save the isles, Hunter is better able to control his transformation. If flustered however, he still loses control from time to time.

Brain idea hit as a result of Princess AU, When they were really young Luz probably figured out that when you scratch Hunter behind the ear it gets him really sleepy and makes him purr a lot (common fanon Grimwalker quirk from stonesleepers), and whenever he was restless and not getting to sleep she'd do it to help him along. (idk if you've touched upon it in this AU or not)

But, since she was otherwise pretty isolated from other witches (at least never THAT absurdly close) assumed that this is a thing that all witches get and at some point, once Amity gets closer to them... she tries doing the same with Amity and not getting the same result, and Amity just looks at her, lowkey liking it as a show of affection (not that she'd dare show that to let this weirdness continue) but otherwise very confused and a mortified Luz realizing it's a grimwalker thing and not knowing how to explain things without risking talking about the thing she does not want to talk about one bit whatsoever.

this is very funny and cute. i've seen a lot of purring witch headcanons but hadn't ever seen the take of purring being exclusive to grimwalkers, that's Delightful.

honestly i think luz would just very quickly be like "i'm so sorry, i wasn't thinking, hunter just likes it when i-" and amity is like "okay, well. NOW it's weird."

Shadow Puppets AU - Philip + “Luzura”

I am actually thinking of writing a one shot fanfic but here’s the low down of how the events of Elsewhere and Elsewhen transpire in the Shadow Puppets AU

-They don’t have to be mindful of the tides so Luz and Lilith are in the Deadwardian era for a couple of days searching first for Philip and then the Collector -While the Deadwardian era doesn’t at first appear to be quite the Savage Ages described in the history books, there is a noticeable tension between Witches and Bipedal Demons -And there is definitely a lot more bias toward people without magic, Luz has to hide her ears just to get people to talk to her -And when they finally do find Philip he refuses to talk to her at all until she reveals she’s human, though he never learns that Luzura isn’t her full name -As stated before they spend much more time together in this AU and develop a sort of father/daughter bond as they discuss ‘human things’ that Lilith doesn’t understand, including hugs, being from Gravesfield and books -Philip at first denies having anything more than a scholarly interest in books, but talking to Luz reminds him of how much he loved a particular book that “Someone” (Caleb) read to him before they arrived in Gravesfield -which Luz was surprisingly able to identify for him as actually a play by William Shakespeare -While the humans bond, Lilith begins to suspect there’s something off about Philip, but he is able to convince her that her suspicions are actually jealousy stemming from Lilith wanting to be closer to Luz -She also discovers that Philip is under some kind of curse, which dispels her suspicions for a while as well, since he begs Lilith not to tell Luz about it -When they reach the Titan Skull, Luz goes to solve the puzzle and Lilith discovers that Philip was tricking them -Philip claims that he’s trying to save her as part of a (completely delusional) scheme to let her die in this time and make sure that his door gets destroyed so she never gets trapped in this world in the future- though Lilith is uncertain how much of this was really Philip’s plan and how much of it is simply his curse talking -Once the Stonesleeper is dealt with and Philip has the Collector, Lilith punches him in the face, but makes up an excuse why and never tells Luz what he tried to do, thinking that it was more important for Luz to keep her image of Philip as a hero she could look up to than to tell her the truth -Though she does confide in her that she thinks Philip may have never made it back to the human realm after all. She keeps her reasoning to herself, however; having recognized a lot of Philip’s behaviors from Belos, she suspects that the emperor may actually be a descendant of Philip’s (Oh, how little does she know)

AU where after EaE, Beardo Philip stumbles into a time pool and was able to find himself back to the human realm.

Then he and Camila meet and hit it off while Luz was still in the BI.

So by the time Luz returns home, Camila and Philip are already together.

(Bonus points if Camila is already pregnant too lol)

So, it's basically a Camilip au minus Luz sabotaging or interfering with Camila and Beardo Philip's relationship?

Camila and Beardo Philip: (They're kissing, cuddling, going out on dates, doing the do a bunch of times (lol), and are overall living their best lives together).

Luz: (She's still stuck in the Deadwardian Era, trying to find a way home while also trying not to get eaten by Stonesleepers or stung by firebees. Is doing the complete opposite of living her best life.) How was Philip able to survive all this?!

Luz: (Bursts through her front door with a beard.) Mom! (Tears the beard off her face with ease.) I'm back! ... Ow. (Rubs her face. She hears Camila giggling in the living room. She gasps.) Mom!

(Runs into the living room and immediately stops in shock at what she sees - a pregnant Camila sitting beside Beardo Philip on the couch. She gasps, glaring at Philip. Points at him.) YOU! What are YOU doing here!?

(She rushes up to him and tries to shoo him away.) Get away from her! (Turns to Camila.) Mom, are you okay? I-- (Sees Camila's plump stomach.) Oh my Titan, what is (points at her belly) THAT doing there?! Is... is that his?! Please tell me it's not! It can't be!

Oh no... (She slowly backs away from the both of them, terrified.) I must be in some nightmare dimension where all of my worst fears are coming true! (Falls to her knees and looks up at the ceiling.) Nooooo!

[Retired Leaders AU]

Since Philip had already accepted the Boiling Isles and even his own queerness years ago by the time Luz and Lilith time traveled to the past and met him, and his goal wasn’t to wipe out the witches and thus he wasn’t tricking random strangers into their deaths, they ended on a much better note.

He didn’t pretend to believe Luz’s made up backstory, but since she’s just a kid, he understood that it’s probably not a malicious lie, so he just shrugged and told her “You’ve got quite the imagination, princess”

Afterwards, he was honest about what’s behind the door in the Skull, and that he needed them to distract the beast (Stonesleeper) while he gathers what he came there for. During the action sequence, he probably got distracted from his work once or twice to help Luz and Lilith from afar with either glyphs or his glyph staff.

As he heard Luz run out towards the Stonesleeper, he was about to step in to protect her, but once he saw that she’s capable of calming the beast, he quickly drew the teleportation glyph and vanished. Luz and Lilith didn’t see him again.

Luz was confused about why he ran away (it’s because he was worried they’d want something in return for their help, despite them saying they didn’t), and she was disappointed that she didn’t get to know him better, but she still thought he was an alright person by the end.

So her perception of him remained positive... Until she found out he was Belos.

She had both realizations at once - that Philip was a younger Belos, and that the person she helped, someone she liked and even somewhat looked up to, was not as good as she thought. He was planning to do something that would put everyone in danger, and she helped him get there.

They eventually have a son! Called Harrier, created via the Grimwalker method - Belos used one of his bones and some of Camila's blood for it. He and Hunter searched for the proper material themselves (Stonesleeper lungs, Selkidomus scales, etc.)

Get ready for a freshly baked "Lost But Now Found" AU drabble. I had to get this Plotbunny out of my head. Here I go again, my dear fellas.

This takes place around four days after Colli was saved by Luz and King, by the way.

Drabble: Failure

Belos was getting impatient. No one was able to bring him his Little Battery back so far. The Emporer got an idea. He planned to create a Grimwalker to replace Colli. Belos had still the lavender haired celestial boy's liquified magic stored.

He used the Selkidomus scales, some Palistrom wood, Stonesleeper lungs, the liquified magic and a galdorstone to create an exact copy of the sweethearted starboy. The small Grimwalker looked at Belos with innocent eyes.

Unfortunately, the Colli Grimwalker's magic was way too weak for him to function as Belos' battery. He was just a little boy. "You are worthless!" Belos, who turned into his Palisman Beast form, said dangerously calm.

The tiny Grimwalker was, unlike the original Colli, not immortal. Belos used this opportunity to gruesomly murder the innocent child. "AAAAAAAAAH!" Kikimora suddenly heard a scream and decided to investigate.

She soon was face to face with a sight that let her blood freeze! She already knew about Colli's copy, but she was still horrified to find him literally ripped apart! There was so much blood... "Kiki, I want you to throw him into the failure pit."

"Y-yes, my Lord!" Kikimora's heart was slamming against her ripcage as she got rid of Belos' newest 'failure'. "Poor unfortunate soul..." Kikimora whispered with a almost heartbroken expression. She truly felt sorry for the little boy.

Meanwhile at the Owl House, Colli was cuddling with his new mother. Eda kissed lovingly her precious Little Star's freckled cheek. The celestial boy with otherworldly fluffy lavender hair and a heart of gold was unaware of what just happened at the Castle.

If anything, the most impactful thing Luz did in the past was save Philip's journal. He literally only needed a sucker to stand near the door so the StoneSleeper would attack them and not him. I have been on the "This would have happened with or without Luz" train since season 3 premiered. He was even in a town filled to the brim with helpful folks who didn't know not to trust him. (This ask is probably running long but you don't know how much time I've spent evaluating Luz's innocence)

oh yeah you're for sure absolutely, however, would that stop Luz in this AU scenario focusing her efforts on undoing that 1 specific event? absolutely not.

Actually, the story is that Luz, desperate to get her friends back, practically begs the Collector to help them. Collector doesn't QUITE grasp the concept of mortality just yet, so he "fixes" them the way he saw Belos "fix" his broken Golden Guards.

So y'know! With a snap of his fingers, they just poofed into existence! Luz was horrified at the realization though.

That's actually why the grimsquad has more non-human traits! Collector doesn't really know how to perfectly "balance" the ingredients. Because of this, Mica and Iniko have more stonesleeper traits, and Hazel and Gareth have more selkidomus traits.

Of course, Collector regrets this after, y'know, having found out just what death means. Nobody in this AU gets to escape trauma.

sending this from my main bc adr-n-sketchy is just a sideblog, but i've skimmed a few things about your OC Aria and, to continue working your werewolf au idea, i had a thought. If you've ever seen/know the premise of the movie Wolf Walkers, what if you did something like that with the two of them. Maybe the ability was just known to one of them/dormant, and then Aria disappears from the Emperor's Coven and Hunter utilizes this ability he'd always suppressed to search the Isles for her bc he can't as the Golden Guard.

what if hunter's werewolf form is like. a difference in the grimwalker ingredients in the au.... instead of a stonesleeper heart its like. a dire wolf's. or some other dire wolf component.

so it can let him transform,,, i like the partially transformed hc a lot so maybe its not 100% akin to wolfwalker dynamics. maybe he just becomes very swift and sneaky in wolf form. or he has some sort of projection ability. idk yet decision making is hard.

Nightmare’s voice cracked towards the end. He couldn’t do anything. Never before in his life he felt so utterly powerless. Not next to the tree surrounded on all sides, not in the falling universe he couldn’t escape from, not that one time Killer got sick for months. He just got his little brother back, only for him to be ripped away again, slowly and painfully. Is this karma? Justice? Fate’s way of saying he messed up, and messed up bad? He wanted to kill the thing his small brother became mere months back, torture it slowly and painfully, make it beg, plead, wish for death.

Now his little brother was dying because of it.

He gripped Dream tighter.

He used to be so warm to touch. To look at. Full of energy, jumping and running, enjoying life in ways Nightmare himself couldn’t ever dream of. Warming up his castle, his heart, his quirky subordinates. Then the cold slowly started creeping into his adorable sibling. Dimming the light, more and more until there was so little left. Not enough left for Dream to have his usual happy energy, let alone enough to share with those around him. The castle became cold and quiet in ways it has never been before. Dream was no longer jumping and running around, laughing and planning pranks with Nightmare’s small group. Short naps throughout the day became a thing as common as Dream’s waking nightmares he never could properly chase away and the screaming he still couldn’t get out of his head-

He used to be so warm.

His fingers gripped the stone tighter.

Dream wasn’t making anymore sounds.

The last inhale could’ve been hours ago.

At least he stopped hurting.
