I'd like to introduce to everyone this horrid thing I created about a year ago but haven't shown many people yet (probably for the best).

This is Baby. AKA The Monster. AKA Sight Tremendous and Abhorred, AKA Vile Insect, AKA A Thing Such As Even Dante Could Not Have Conceived, etc, etc. It's made from bits of scrap fabric I scrounged from various sources and is roughly the size of a human toddler. Its design is based on Mary Shelly's original descriptions of Frankenstein's creature.

But that's not all! Behold!

You can dissect this little abomination to reveal a full set of crocheted, knitted, and scrap fabric organs, all hand-stitched by yours truly!

It has a heart, stomach, lungs, liver, small and large intestine, kidneys, bladder, and, of course, a brain! So it can ponder the horrors of its own existence!

I used this pattern by Less Than Three for the heart. I ended up felting it because I screwed up most of the stitches (I was relatively new to crochet at the time). The result was a bit of a blobby mess, but oh well.

So yeah. This thing lives in my house now (my family hates it). I have yet to reap the full consequences of my hubris.

Frosen Steel Week 2024 - Day 3 - Scars

Looks like the Mad Scientist, Dr. Ruby's latest experiments are coming up with some unexpected results for all parties involved.

With enough power, any prompt can be turned into halloween.

That said uh, definitely going to be late on the remainder of the event which is a bit unfortunate. But I'm gonna finish it this time that's for damn certain, who else will draw this much Frosen Steel Halloween art?? somebody probably but lemme dream @frosensteel

End of Book 1!

Hi Folks-- I haven't been able to dig myself out of the day job effectively in the last month so I figured I would just post the last few pages of book one and get them out in the world.

Book 2 is in the works, but I've been struggling a lot with finding balance with being at work in order to dedicate time to it. It WILL happen-- I have the entire series plotted out-- but the comic will be on hiatus until I can get my life under control. Thank you for sticking with me and for all of your support through this first volume!

Ok so theory time

In the beginning of Frankenstein, Victor says he made the creatures limbs perfectly proportional and that he was perfect, the only thing that was "wrong" with him was his eyes

But now I'm at the end and Walton says that the creature is horribly disproportionate and that his hands resemble a mummy

Could that mean that while Victor did make life, the corpse parts are still decomposing so Adam has become more and more monstrous as the years have passed?

Like.... the creature decays unbelievably fast and Victor just gets worse in health making them weirdly mirror each other with how their mutual hatred is literally consuming them and ruining their respective lives

always with a penchant for getting into trouble, Frank has been stitched back together too many times to count… with a couple extra mods, too 🔩⚡️

A cross stitched clone trooper helmet. The base of the helmet is green, with the top head fin being black. There is a red “scar” on the left side of the forehead portion of the helmet, and black “stitches” horizontally across the entire forehead. The “ear” portions of the helmet have been replaced by gray bolts, with yellow “lightning” coming out on either side of the helmet to simulate the electricity associated with Frankenstein’s monster.

Frankenstein was my first experiment with quilting text into the background of a quilt. He hangs in a shop in Wisconsin and has gotten a lot of attention

we figured out a better way to do sprites (instead of freeballing it i edit and frankenstein other sprites together and THEN draw over and recolor it. its proven effective thus far) so heres some kantonians!!

Lisa Frankenstein was SO cute, the kinda movie I needed in high school (luckily I had May, which is a similarly "shes just like me fr" movie) and I don't normally like romance movies but this one made my heart feel weird afterwards.

Anyway, I think post-movie Lisa and May could and should be friends and sewing buddies.
