very specific au thought, silver if he was the shield instead ( read the tags to see explanations )
#reading chapter 7 updates back to back on both servers YEEHAW#essentially shield silver is just silver but with his backstory has elements from yuulis' backstory#or like. the silver owl's kingdom falls apart much much more disastrously#so silver is!! essentially the same type of creature that yuulis is hnm hnm#he's less proficient in swordplay so sebek beats his ass in sparring#but he makes up for it in magic!! hes at least twice/thrice better than his og incarnation#though he lacks self confidence bcs hes surrounded by fae like malleus n lilia who r just. innately good at magic#he has thick arm guards instead of the regular diasomnia gloves#bcs his he needs protection for his feeble human arms#( jk he's still as muscular as normal silver bcs he has to swing that big staff around )#was gonna make the shoulder pad on his right to make him mirror the knight of dawn but it bugged me too much grrrrr#his clothes r also more loose but still not restrictive#without saying much#shield silver is closer to malleus than the og!! he imitates malleus' mannerisms a lot when casting spells. like the floaty thing mal does#also indirect yuulis lore ig#shield silver always covers up ( like malleus cards ) bcs he's got a mega complex about his stitches#unlike yuulis he has no means of rlly hiding his stitches by himself#so he's under an illusion spell ( cast by malleus ) where to the regular person he looks like a regular human#also when he overblots. he becomes the phantom himself ( indirect yuulis lore part 2 )#hence why.. fucked up looking creature in the last image#tahst enough rambling from me hehe live laugh love#twst#twisted wonderland#twst silver#sebek zigvolt#twst grim#twst yuu

one texture map for EVERYTHING your sim wears :)
#rambling#im honestly so pissed off with this thing#a single texture map to rule them all#it makes me want to rip the game open and tear out bit by bit the coding that restricts everything to a single fucking texture map#this is why things are blurry#don't look good#i can barely do drawn on stitching on my cc because of this#small details turn to a blurry mess#and the crazy thing about it is that ts4 is the ONLY game in the main series that does this stupid shit#ts3 has separate texture maps for each item#EVEN TS2!!!!#But the sims 4 is not like other grills#one to rule them all#delete later

That's Right#lackadaisy#WHICH i have been reading since at least '07 when i was thirteen my god b/c this animation is based on the ongoing webcomic#like does its influence show up Directly in some Discrete way i can point to in my art? not very easily probably. And Yet.#the inspiration....i wasn't able to be Regularly Only for at least another year / art done Nonprofessionally Online was novel to me#like wow ppl can make & post fanart of w/e they love huh....didn't know webcomics were a thing & i never really read that many since but.#good god the quality of Lackadaisy at its onset is like this is superb?? this person putting in all their talent and effort???#and Then you get years & years more art and i don't even know what superlatives to throw out abt its quality as it evolves. obsessed w/it..#if i see a new lackadaisy comic page i Will be acting out. obviously this animation is a delight & also stunning. and fascinating to also#juxtapose as a Translation / Interpretation of the comic in a different medium & standalone snippet of Story#and that we're not even quite there in the comic timeline; Taking Notes abt character info we get distilledly here....genuinely love like#take it back to '07 i'm like oh boy can't wait for the dream team to assemble. then a decade later when it did? Another bonus to learning a fiber art is being able to speak to others in a Lovecraftian language that nobody else understands...

#art#crochet#fiber art#described images#image description in alt#used a crochet pattern for this because it's just INSANE#see i can recognize some of these stitch markings but i haven't done them all yet#i actually kind of prefer the diagram pattern because it actually shows you the shape and the way stitches compliment the piece#with a 'normal' pattern (e.g. 1 dc in fifth ch from hook ch 2 4 dc) i understand it sure but. it isn't the same.#i was reading somebodys recommendations for tapestry yarn and understood all the abbreviations and what they mean#plus i feel like diagrams can be a great way to teach you not only how stitches look but how they contribute to the larger piece#one of my crochet proficiency goals is to be able to look at a piece and know instantly what made it#*cue me at the store analyzing a crochet piece so i can replicate it for 5× the cost*#if you're selling a crocheted piece for like $20 then it's my imperative to replicate it and not buy it 🫡#i think that has the same moral implication as like... 'proplifting'#did crochet as the example because thats what i do as a fiber art. if theres a similar thing for knit/weave/ect then DROP IT BELOW I BEG YO#i want to learn all the lovecraftian languages of the fiber artists <3#i feel like describing the image in exactly what stitch marking indicates what would have been too much so hopefully the explanation as to..#...what the diagram DOES and how it visually indicates a pattern was helpful <3

Pattern from here with some modifications bc 1) i fucked up and decided to go with it rather than frog everything i'd done so far and 2) i started running out of the dark green and had to improvise. Hi I am Exceedingly Curious about leg theory but tumblrs search function is the only search bar that exclusively shows you things that AREN'T what you're looking for. May I have a link to an explanation of Leg Theory?
leg theory is the brainchild of the excellent and esteemed @catilinas and in short it is A Collection of Thoughts regarding Seafaring, Identity, Curses and Rituals, Sacrifice, and a Significant Leg Injury or Incident!
notable incidences of leg theory include: odysseus when scar on leg, john franklin's / thomas blanky's / ???'s legs in the terror, john silver's leg in treasure island & black sails, a good 45% of what's going on in moby dick, and that time my dad fell through a hatch on a sailboat and fractured his tibia in a way that was quite interesting for his character development.

there was a little teaser at the end that implied there'll be a sequel event, though we don't really know anything beyond that! I do think it's likely we'll get the other half of the cast in it, even if it's just wishful thinking on my part. 🤞🤞 NIGHTMARE SUITS FOR EVERYONE!!!!
