ngl, it's about quality over quantity for me. an npc can have a total of three minutes of screen time, but if they have a cool name, they can live rent free in my head and I'll spend several hours trying to decipher drawable features from a blurry screenshot of pixels

there is a vague hint of a story here, and that's because every time I try to play thi4f, I get incredibly frustrated with how Not Fun the game play is. like, is the story good? well. but it has a PLAGUE. that should've given it instant 'I'll replay this once a year' status in my heart, but the game play sucks so bad that I've never finished it. I can't believe Not Fun gameplay beat out my obsession with narrative plagues.

anyway, the idea is basically if the original era had a game with a plague centric narrative and some other stuff I liked out of thi4f thrown into a narrative blender, with a heavy dash of horror thrown in because some parts of the thief games were scarier to me than entire dedicated horror genre games.

At some point in the evening, Dani's aunt tapped him on the shoulder.

“You have not been speaking in ingles,” she chided him. “Also, you two should take him inside. He looks tired; I think he’s had too much sun.”

Dani blinked at her. The severe cut of her lips pursed in amusement, and she pointedly at his shoulder.

Sprawled out as they were on the patio, he’d not noticed when he’d taken the position of having his arm wrapped around the back of Jamie’s chair any more than he’d noticed the sun dipping low beyond the horizon. Both were simply part of the natural movement of the world. Similarly, he couldn’t say with any certainty when Jamie’s head had settled against his shoulder. The slack weight of his body pressed familiar and warm against his side. If Dani’s chair was to slide, his friend would likely fall to the ground.

Circling the edge of the patio, the lanterns were meant as a precaution to keep people from stumbling in the dark when the Rojas family inevitably stayed up chatting into the night. They illuminated smiles, and spilled drinks, and not much else. But Dani need only to look down to see that his aunt was right. In the warm glow of the lanterns, Jamie’s face was flushed a borrowed red from how much time they’d spent in the garden that day. He wasn’t asleep yet, but his eyes were drooping, slipping closed in long blinks as he watched Tío Luis gesticulate across the table. Balanced against his chest, his beer bottle lay completely empty, wrapped between his arms in a hug.

Dani didn’t understand how, but Jamie had somehow managed to fish his lime halfway back out of the neck of the bottle, and he was chewing absently on the end of it.

I've gone back into an huge high school story hyperfix for No apparent reason for this past month and half so i decide to make a new tumblr! it's been a while since i've been in an fandom space so i decide to stick to an more niche(? i guess) fandom with not so many people still here as it's not as overwhelming for me.

these girls have been with me since 2013 and 2014 respectively with many many different changes! however their core characteristics have stayed the same.

i was planning on drawing them about a week ago buuut my drawing tablet has decided to die on me and my only drawings of them are from <2022. which isn't ideal. then i remembered a few days ago i can just create them on sims, so for the time being i'll use ts4 as a way to visualize them until i get a new tablet!

a little brief introduction to them -

vivienne is my high school story prime mc and she transfers over to berry high in her sophomore year. bc of this the timeline is a bit different to the canon one (especially since the choices games are canon to the original timeline) as in my tl hss prime takes course from her sophomore to senior year (there's NO way all the stuff that happens in hssp happens in one year!!! pixelberry u can not convince me otherwises!!!). side confession but despite hss/hwu being an defining part of me i've never touched choices... which means i've just never considered were those games would fit into my timeline. so i guess i'd consider my tl an au.

agnieszka or angel is my hollywood u mc who i miss dearly and i'll forever be torn up by the fact that hwu is unplayable now. she's vivienne half sister (vivi is a product of affair. there's A LOT of lore that i'll hopefully go into in later posts) and the two aren't aware of eachothers existence until around 2010. despite this angel loves the fact she has an younger sister, even in unconventional circumstances, and wishes to grow closer to her. vivienne is hesitant at first but by 2018ish they have a very good relationship!! sure it takes a while but the two had to overcome a lot when it comes to their family.

for the years vivienne starts berry high in 2013 and agnieszka starts hwu in 2014 (basically when the games came out). they don't start having an consistent relationship until about mid-to-late 2015.

also this is my first time doing character sheets that aren't heavily drawn so hopefully they aren't too hard to read/understand. this is all i'll say for now as i don't want this post to get too long! i'll drop more info abt them as this month goes by.

we are so back! (again) been a bit dead the last few days, but ive recovered some energy.

im glad the stuff i queued for community week posted with no issues dmhsskhskshs (i tried to space them out so i don't get mistaken for some bot???) i was planning on adding more to it since i have a few more in wip status but kinda ran out of energy orz anyway im glad to be able to do a dive on few of the many wonderful khr ocs ive been meaning to get to know more abt hehehe sorry not sorry for the spam 🫶🫶🫶

btw i'll be attending the khr cupsleeve event tomorrow, so im super excited for it. im currently staying at a place i booked near the venue tbh i didn't bring my laptop with me since i won't be able to just chill if i did 🤣🤣🤣 i'll try to post pics when i can? there will be a lifesize tsuna standee there, so i hope i'll be in the right headspace to take pics with it 😆😆😆

i was also gonna go online earlier today ngl but the anti-motion sickness med side effects knocked me out into a 6-hour nap once i finished eating dinner (after arriving) lmaooo firstly will be catching up on my notifs leisurely for now. just woke up, but i plan on sleeping again in a few hrs for even more rest time (iirc the afternoon session is full so a lot of ppl will attend, im happy abt it but im gonna be so socially drained 🤣🤣)
