I've gone back into an huge high school story hyperfix for No apparent reason for this past month and half so i decide to make a new tumblr! it's been a while since i've been in an fandom space so i decide to stick to an more niche(? i guess) fandom with not so many people still here as it's not as overwhelming for me.

these girls have been with me since 2013 and 2014 respectively with many many different changes! however their core characteristics have stayed the same.

i was planning on drawing them about a week ago buuut my drawing tablet has decided to die on me and my only drawings of them are from <2022. which isn't ideal. then i remembered a few days ago i can just create them on sims, so for the time being i'll use ts4 as a way to visualize them until i get a new tablet!

a little brief introduction to them -

vivienne is my high school story prime mc and she transfers over to berry high in her sophomore year. bc of this the timeline is a bit different to the canon one (especially since the choices games are canon to the original timeline) as in my tl hss prime takes course from her sophomore to senior year (there's NO way all the stuff that happens in hssp happens in one year!!! pixelberry u can not convince me otherwises!!!). side confession but despite hss/hwu being an defining part of me i've never touched choices... which means i've just never considered were those games would fit into my timeline. so i guess i'd consider my tl an au.

agnieszka or angel is my hollywood u mc who i miss dearly and i'll forever be torn up by the fact that hwu is unplayable now. she's vivienne half sister (vivi is a product of affair. there's A LOT of lore that i'll hopefully go into in later posts) and the two aren't aware of eachothers existence until around 2010. despite this angel loves the fact she has an younger sister, even in unconventional circumstances, and wishes to grow closer to her. vivienne is hesitant at first but by 2018ish they have a very good relationship!! sure it takes a while but the two had to overcome a lot when it comes to their family.

for the years vivienne starts berry high in 2013 and agnieszka starts hwu in 2014 (basically when the games came out). they don't start having an consistent relationship until about mid-to-late 2015.

also this is my first time doing character sheets that aren't heavily drawn so hopefully they aren't too hard to read/understand. this is all i'll say for now as i don't want this post to get too long! i'll drop more info abt them as this month goes by.

languages you speak: dutch, english, german (i'm gonna go as far as to say dutch and german are mutually intelligible, and tho this gives a bit less of an incentive to actually learn german when germans will understand ur dutch just fine, it also makes learning german significantly easier). I tried to learn greek but even after years and years i just couldnt get past the alphabet LOL. the only greek I know are the bits and pieces I learned from my time spent there, but id have 0 idea how to actually spell that stuff out.

what other games you play: im kind of a noob with other games, honestly. I used to play a whooole bunch of horse-related games (am a total horse girl), and I played the battle for middle earth (also looove me some LOTR). used to go to my childhood best friend's house to steal her brother's xbox and play gta iv on it, and I bought gta v for myself but sadly, I suck too bad at games to actually progress any with it

Long time no see...

Hello people of simblr, I’m back in business kids!!!

I know I completely disappeared for the longest time...and honestly I think I just really needed the break. Some of you may know I was having some personal mental issues and during that time I really had to take a break from my blog - then I came back - but then... LIFE HAPPENED. JOB SEARCHING HAPPENED AND THEN GETTING HIRED TO MY DREAM WORKPLACE HAPPENED!!! And my life was spun upside down - I have a 9-5 job sitting at a computer and when I come home all I want to do is snuggle my cat and my human and not look at a screen!!!

So needless to say I haven’t opened tumblr or even the sims in a hot minute.

HOWEVER, I’ve just returned from my birthday vacation (Disneyland and a cruise with my favourite people in the world) and I feel refreshed and rested. I honestly was getting pretty tired of my nsb story...but after this break it’s like I’ve gotten all my inspiration and drive to do it BACK!!! I’m still a working gal so I’ll be trying my best to get posts out on the regular but if I suddenly stop pls don’t fret - im gonna be trying my best to get my story back on its feet I just don’t have as much time as I used to...

So I have a rant. I make custom content and they get many reblogs, likes, and comments, hundreds of downloads each, etc but on my regular posts whether they are sim edits or showing off my builds, I get little to no likes or anything. What am I doing wrong? I literally have close to 500 followers and I feel like crap because they literally all follow me for my downloads and thats it. And its not like my regular posts are trash because I work so hard on them and Im satisfied with how they look

Unfortunately that’s a common trend I see a lot in simblr :{ this is gonna sound super pessimistic but human nature often makes people selfish and negligent. It sucks but it’s true!! We’re all guilty of taking what we need/want from someone/something and going on our way without even considering that the other person might feel used and under appreciated for it. I think that often happens with cc creators on here, especially if creating is something they primarily do and their actual game posts come second. I noticed the same thing on my personal blog, people just didn’t really pay attention to my writing/art/things I made in general, even my friends a lot of the time. People just suck!! We should all try to go out of our way to give love and feedback to cc creators on their posts that aren’t cc because chances are they probably feel the same as you and are getting discouraged. I don’t know if that’ll change any time soon so the only piece of advice I can give you is easier said than done; if you like your posts and enjoy what you do, then keep doing it and fuck everyone else. That’s the only thing I’ve ever lived by on here and pretty much everywhere else. But especially here. Don’t give up something you enjoy just because it might not feel like it’s worth it in comparison to the things that garner more attention.
