that hokma post with him straddling a has given me the incredible reminder that like. only a is inflicted by the cognition filter right? so literally anyone else who was watching that go down is seeing the box straddle him LMAO
this might've been a moment of awakening in some of the nuggets... awakening of what, thats up for debate. just hoping the metal box the size of a full-grown human won't crush the manager to death (seeing his reaction though, he's rather comfortable. his awakening has already happened.)

I love how FFXIV "Fiend" lyrics is literally Childe with the exception of the god's name and identity.
While we still can't connect those to anything in FFXIV.

Very funny the first thing Carmen said to Angela after directly appear in front of her face in person is that "you are supposed to be like me and think like me but here we are (disagreeing with each other over our chosen path)" especially with how the writer themselves answered in the QnA that Angela is not anything like Carmen even from appearance alone is on purpose because A simply couldnt do it and would also never make Angela like her in the sense because he view an act itself as inherently disgusting nor was Angela's conflict deep down is she wanted to be like her (rather that she wanted to be valued for what she is) like she doesn't even consider the possibility ig

The Tree of Life - Binah - Kabbalah and the Sephirot
Binah is the womb from which all souls are born, Chokmah the energy that the soul is made of, and Kether the idea of the soul within the Monad itself. In fact at the level of the Supernal Triad, Kether is the self-realization of the Supreme Being that emanates from En Sof, Chokmah is its Living Spirit and Creational Force, and Binah is its Supernal Soul Body through which the Spirit may interact with the lower realms of creation. The soul has always been associated with a feminine energy by Kabbalists as well as many other traditions. Similarly Binah is the Supreme Feminine Archetype, while the Spirit, Chokmah, is the Supreme Masculine Archetype and Kether, the Supreme Union Archetype. Chokmah and Binah are El and Eloha, the creator God and Goddess of this system, together in Divine Union and balance they are Elohim. Kether, however, is neither masculine nor feminine, it just is. The god name associated with Kether is EHEI (Eheyeh), which means “I Am” or “To Be”.
The supernals are the “3 mothers” associated with the Hebrew Letters Shin (spirit/fire), Aleph (air), and Mem (water), which are also the 3 mother rays of Amon Ra: numbers, letters, and sounds that are used to write the name of God, from which all creation comes. The third ray, Binah (Mem), being the one from which all other rays and creational energies are birthed or emanated out from. We see this in the Kabbalah by the path that the lightning bolt or ‘flaming sword’ takes as it carries the creational energies down from source to Malkuth. Binah is the last of the supernals that it enters before coming into the lower realms. Thus, Binah is the closest of the supernals to the world of form, hence it is the original archetypal form, whereas Chokmah is the original archetypal force. These roles of form and force can also be explained through the beginning stages of creation.
Before the beginning of creation there was only En Sof. En Sof was everything, yet no-thing, everywhere and nowhere, all potential but nothing manifest… At this stage En Sof does not even know it exists and has no concept of creation. And then a contraction occurs. En Sof contracted within its own being and from this withdrew from an infinitesimal point. This point became the center and it was a void. But even in its state of void, it still contained the memory of the essence of En Sof that previously was there. This center point of all existence is called the Shekinah by some Kabbalists – the feminine aspect of En Sof. In the very instant that En Sof contracted and this void was formed, so too did the infinite capacity of En Sof move to fill the void, for there can be no place that is not one with En Sof. As the energy of En Sof moved into this infinitesimal point it became a concentrated and intensified spark of light. This spark of light is Kether (the Center Point of the Universe). In the same instant, the intensity filling this point became so great that there was an outward explosion of light and energy moving in all directions. This dynamic expansion is Chokmah (the Big Bang and the photons/energy of light). But the influence of the feminine aspect to define the space and allow for creation was still present as a reflection of the Shekinah, and this influence served as a vessel for the energy to pour into and then subsequently be channeled through towards manifestation. This vessel or womb that channels and directs the light is Binah (Primordial Matter, which leads to Gravity, which is an attractive force that draws things into form). Einstein’s famous equation E=mc2 can be related to the supernal triad, where E is Energy, whose essence is derived from Kether; c is the speed at which light travels outward from its source, which is Chokmah; and m is the mass of matter, which can be likened to Binah. The union of matter and the speed of light (mc2), Binah and Chokmah, releases an extraordinary amount of energy (sourced from Kether) that can be used for creation below the Abyss.
Thus the light flows on across the Abyss, through Daath, and on to Chesed then down the rest of the Tree until it finally reaches Malkuth. But it is Chokmah that generates the life force energy that enlivens the process of creation, while Binah is the womb that holds the egg that, once impregnated by Chokmah’s life-giving seed, becomes the vessel that gives birth to the other 7 sephiroth.
Geometrically, these initial stages of creation are represented by nothing (En Sof), the empty/black point (Shekinah), the full/white point (Kether), the line (Chokmah), and the triangle (Binah). Thus Binah is also the foundation of the entire Supernal Triad, whereas Kether is its root/source, and Chokmah its life force, and En Sof is the unseen/unknowable essence that flows through all of it. The triangle is the first form created and thus it is the primary key to the powers of heaven (the square and circle being the other two keys).
The supernals are in a realm that is beyond the human mind, thus any discussion of them can only be limited to metaphors and symbolic language. And because they are all just three aspects of a unity, it is difficult to say anything about any one of them alone. To say anything at all is to define, separate, and limit, thus not a true representation of the supernals. And yet, often in books these are the three parts of the Tree that are given the most attention – perhaps because they are the furthest from what we are acquainted with and hence the most mysterious and alluring. But truly, the only way to come to know and understand the supernal realm is through direct experience, which is the purpose of the ascension up the Tree of Life, which culminates in the crossing of the Abyss. This ascension brings one the vision of seeing God “face-to-face” – the inner and outer God. This experience may only be a momentary glimpse, but even that is enough to change your life, and it will give you the experience through which wisdom and divine light may illuminate your entire being.

The more I think about Carmen and Ayin, the more I'm like, "those two are literally absolute opposites of each other."
Carmen says that if something awful happened as a result of something she did, she'd crack and crumble and not be able to go on, and Ayin keeps going. He endures, to use a word PM likes to use.
Carmen, then, lacks the ability to Stand Up Straight by the time she is dying in the bathtub, because she has buckled under the weight of everything. We see this in the pressure everyone put on her. Ayin learns what it means to do this through his dealings with Malkuth.
Carmen lacks the Rationality to Maintain Discretion, taking all of the emotions inside of her after Enoch's death and Lisa's judgement and letting them spill out, into self-harm. Ayin goes through similar, but with Yesod's help is able to see that you need to be able to feel the despair but still keep a logical mind.
Carmen loses her belief that people can grow and the Hope to be a Better Person, as she dies and then as she spends that time as the Bucket. Ayin, however, after everything that he's done to reach the dream she always talked about, all the atrocities he committed, promises Hod - who betrayed them all and caused the Head to come down on the Outskirts lab - that they can become better people together.
Carmen, even before Lisa told her that she should have been the one to die, did not have the Fearlessness to Keep On Living. She gained the desire to live right before she was actually dead (as per Ruina's Keter Realisation), but I'd hazard that was more "desperation" than "fearlessness." Ayin, however, went from being in a state of depression so deep that he was making a long, drawn-out suicide plan (via the light), attempted suicide at least once (and remember, he was in that loop for ten thousand years, so it's absolutely correct to say he did again) and yet, he and Netzach promised each other to keep on going, with the idea of "if I can, so can you."
Carmen put her entire Meaning of Existence into the project she was working on, to save humanity - but when push came to shove, she didn't truly believe in the humans she was saving, and lost her way, and her meaning along with it, going from "saving humanity" to "have you tried distortion?" in the course of it. Ayin, however, is implied to have been like Enoch; always looking ahead, seeing that the world isn't how it should be and hoping for something better. It's strongly implied that the world of the City broke him before he met Carmen (and if not before, then in her dying), and yet with Tiphereth, he is able to find and keep an Expectation for the Meaning of Existence.
Carmen was amazing at "blowing peoples' minds" and getting them to trust her - however, how much she trusted them is in much higher doubt. She is only seen sharing her vulnerability with Ayin, and only then to make him promise to keep doing her work after she's gone. When she is at her breaking point, she loses faith in humanity itself. Ayin, however, although he loses his trust in humans to the point that he creates a machine (Angela) to help run the Facility and drives even his best friend away, connected with all of the Sephirot in a way that caused them to trust him again, especially Chesed, he had abandoned and broken the trust of. Through this, he gains Those Who are Faithful and Trustworthy.
Carmen had grand dreams of a utopia where no one had to hurt anyone else... but she herself could not be said to fit that same image, let alone "reach that place," much as Binah says in Ruina. She directly allows a child to die in her care, and the mention of "experiments" suggests that other adults already had. Ayin, however... although the methods may be questionable, he did manage to save the lives of his friends. Also importantly, is his management style; back in the Outskirts lab he would try to warn Michelle away from something she wasn't ready for, and in Lobotomy Corporation you can only get an S rank management score if you keep all of your agents alive. You are as a player rewarded for keeping agents alive. All of this put together, Gebura is the one who causes him to realise the Courage to Protect.
Carmen, in general, only ever did two things with her problems: pretended they weren't there, or ran from them. We can see this by the way that she pretends that she's so much more confident than she actually is, and the way that she hid herself away (to the point that she took her own life, without allowing herself the support of others) after one big regret too many. As the Voice, she currently can be heard to tell those who are distorting "it is awful, but none of that was your fault, you know?" - she encourages them to turn away from everything they themselves have done. Ayin, meanwhile, although he gives himself amnesia for the time loops... this is for the specific reason of being able to come to a point where he can face his past, as the Memory Synchronisation is, y'know, a thing. The important thing I think isn't that he would always forget, but that he would also always remember. And by remembering, he learns, and by learning, he can move on, becoming the Eye Embracing the Past, Building the Future.
Carmen, it can easily be said, could not face her own fears. This is a simple thing to state, because she says so herself in that field - that she's got a weak heart, like all humans. She also encourages others to be the same way now, telling them that it's fine to give in and give up as long as it makes them feel better, while at the same time turning a blind eye to the atrocities they commit. Ayin was once the same. Binah outright tells him so, that she saw him as the same kind of person as her, able to commit atrocities while not accepting his own anxieties and fear. However, through the loops and through facing Binah herself, he grows to be able to do so, becoming the Eye Facing the Fear, Breaking the Cycle.
Basically - Carmen is stuck in a place of not facing herself, while Ayin takes himself and quite literally forces himself to do so. Carmen stagnates, while Ayin outgrows her.
Also, while Carmen becomes a "beautiful voice, that everyone listens to," Ayin... in Lobotomy Corporation at least, doesn't truly get to say anything for himself, and what is said is said by his reflections, not himself. He has the fewest spoken (voiced) lines of any major character, too.
Which is fascinating, isn't it?

I had this idea of turning the boys and Sephirot into ponies (because yes i like ponies and making things into ponies), so I doodled up the Kether boys as ponies (and brothers in this AU i guess)
We got X as the smol bean he is. Curious, wants to help, a dork. 2nd youngest and favourite of Hokma (cuz he doesn't try to cause trouble. and he is smol bby.)
Ayin is next, with a judgmental stare because you took the last piece of the cake that Hokma made.
Abel, I had to remember how he fucking looked so I think I got it right. The oldest of them all, the wisest, and the most done with Adam's bullshit.
Abram is... still how he normally is. X tries his best to cheer him up, Abel and Ayin give some words of wisdom from time to time, and Adam torments him (as all little brothers should lol.)
And then, we got the crazy man himself! Adam is the youngest of the 5 and he can't fly. At all. He doesn't have the magic that lets pegasi fly, so X uses his magic to help him 'fly' (that's what the gold glow around him is; it's X's magic.)
I'll draw up the Sephirot and Angela at some point because i am invested in this idea. also no cutie marks because fuck that shit, i can never think up good ones for shit like this. same with names for them so if anyone wants to make up names for them (and the Sephirot/Angela), go for it!
(also before anyone asks, yes I was inspired by the kiwi ayinlings by @sentienttoastah)

Whats ur favorite piece of limbus/lobotomy lore? Take this as an excuse to yap.
ohhhh boy this is a HARD one, there’s so many aspects of both games that really just punch me in the fucking gut to an absurd degree that it’s difficult to pinpoint just one… if I have to say though, the most emotional parts for me have gotta be probably Ishmael’s canto and the upper layer Sephirot’s backstories/deaths
ishmaels canto just because there’s just geniunely a lot that I resonate with, hell I unironically live by the ocean, go fishing/boating pretty often, have an ocean related name, etc etc. Plus there’s just a lot of myself I see in ishy and she truly is one of my favorite characters (next to Donq of course /silly)
for the upper layer Sephirot, man when I was playing through lob and I got to their core suppressions I had to take a step back for a bit, especially on Giovanni’s/Gabriel’s. I already resonate with Yesod a lot (primarily because he’s probably the most accurate representation of OCD I’ve EVER seen in a piece of media, even if it’s unintentional, and because there’s just a lot of qualities I see in him that I see in myself LMAO), and his story was rough for me to get through (although I didn’t share with Y’know. The self harm and stuff, even still it was highly emotional for me). I didn’t really understand Hod’s when I first got through it (I didn’t pick up on the mention of her death/the treason (I had to have a friend point it out actually (thank you torch if you see this /silly)) so I didn’t really get the full meaning of it until after. For Elijah’s it was just really sad but I sort of anticipated it coming since the game hinted at it so its impact wasn’t really as strong, it was still pretty horrifying though… and for finally Giovanni’s, man his was depressing, I really like how the game showcased how different both his love for Carmen and Ayin’s were. For Gio his was actual, genuine true love, he cared very deeply for Carmen and would do anything to have her feel happy in the world, for Ayin, it was obsessive, and almost cold(?) in a way, colds not really the right word but it was sort of more in a morally-unethical way to the point where he would do absolutely ANYTHING, no matter how brutal, horrifying, or awful of a process it was to get her back in some way or form. The game portrays stuff like this so interestingly and I love how it’s really a psychological horror more then anything- project moon doesn’t NEED gory/scary/etc imagery or whatever to have a good horror game, it’s all psychological and that’s why I love it so much
anyways enjoy my ramble, some other bonus stuff that really stuck out to me too have to probably be Enoch and Lisa both, the disaster at love town (that’s LOR but eh still counts), and probably canto 6

I'm still a Canto behind, but it seems we're on a pattern now of getting new Sapling of Light powers every Canto, powers that are assciated with both the seven deadly sins and the branches of the Sephirot, in moments that have thematic overlap with the Sephirah of LobCorp and LoR.
And next up following the pattern would be Hong Lu's Canto + the Sephirah Chesed. It's a combination that works if you know Chesed - both he and Hong Lu have these personas of affected chill-ness, and are associated with the color blue and water symbolism (Hong Lu's Land of Illusion, Lin Daiyu's debt of tears; the rain screen effect during Chesed's suppression, "Rain is falling; this rain, the tears of all the employees. The downpour will never stop.")
Additionally the word "Chesed" is often translated in the bible as "loving kindness", and Chesed's suppression in LobCorp is associated with "Those who are Faithful and Trustworthy". It will be interesting to see how those themes play out with, or in contrast to, the story of Hong Lu and his family.

Humans are hard to include in worlds filled by anthros (Sonic aestetic analysis)
Aestetic... a word I like.
Tumblr media
This kinda work. Both of them have about same cartoonish proportions, similar head size, similar hands and feet size. The human girl has a thicker body and is bigger, but humans are tricky to include in a world with anthros.
The fact is, since we are humans, the specie is particularly familiar with us. What we are is written in our DNA. If you ask to a blind person to draw a fellow human, the drawing will turn out correct, the very same a person with normal sight woyld do.
So is tricky to avoid the uncanny valley and keeping them recognizable as humans. Humans are also rather large overall compared to hedgehogs and other beasts as specie. In fact we are included in the great apes group. Alongside the gorillas we are the also the tallest so pretty much big animals (but we are also slim).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Actual hedgehogs are as big as human hand, or so. Sonic doesn't need to be this small. Just more balanced.
Humans are always been a presence in Sonic world. Eggman is the most well known. And he has large hands and feet, like Sonic and the other. But his proportions are quite realistic and I think he should look bigger because actually, his head is smaller than Sonic's and the other...
Tumblr media
In this scene from Sonic X it works well. Eggman's human features are exaggerated (like the typical human long nose compared to the flat noses of the other apes), and his head is about as large as Sonic's, making him fit the enviroment.
Tumblr media
Those are very a little bit awkward. When I complain that the size are awkward is because of Eggman's small head.
Tumblr media
This is no-no! She just doesn't match in the universe. Like, she belong somewhere else. Small hands and feet, anime proportions, vintage Italian style doll face...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Back in the '80s I saw some that were even closer to what Maria looks like. There were even drawings of girls who just looked like Maria around, some hanged on walls in my granparents home, I just can't find them not even online (the last time I saw them I was 16).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Shadow likes those pictures...)
Surprisling Mario fits greatly despite being part of a completely different universe.
With modern style...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And even with SatAM style
Tumblr media
Both in Sonic and Mario, humans tend to have small eyes.
Tumblr media
Roundish head, large hands and feet, noodle limbs just like the beasts... Eggman obioulsy has small eyes. I figure them being about roundish, like Mario's.
Tumblr media
Now, we see some human eyes there. A western aestetic just look better within Sonic world (the aestetic is pretty much western overall, being based on rubber hose style). Maybe hands and feet size could be more balanced...
Tumblr media
I don't like Eggman having Majin Bu style eyes like in SatAM and AoStH. I've read somewhere he has regular human eyes. There (Archie) he looks as if he is possessed by an entity, so I wonder, Sonic should try to save him at this point? I imagine is to show that Eggman is a psychopath, but it doesn't do the job. The shape and size of the eyes is fine.
Tumblr media
This is a joke... 'never mix styles' I was told 'Characters should look like they're part of the same universe!'...
Even Eggman was changed to have a realistic look, and it sucked.
Elise should be with Cloud Strife and Sephirot, not with Sonic, if we are talking about the style.
Outside Sonic series...
Top Cat
Tumblr media
A human and six cats. They fit perfectly in their universe. Like Sonic, the cats are bigger than real cat, still smaller than humans. Heads look perfectly in proportions.
Tumblr media
Now, here we are in the opposite territory. The feline is bigger than a human. In fact he is a puma.
Tumblr media
Just to show how well human and anthro blend togheter in Hanna&Barbera works. In addition they also have actual four legged beasts, like Scooby Doo.
Tumblr media
In Japan antros are rare, yet it can still work it the style is consistent. In Dragon Ball and Dr Slump we have plenty of anthro characters who blend well with humans. And there are also actual four legged beasts.
Some Japanese anthros
