Our temporary choir (we're not allowed to say we're an actual choir under strict orders from our priest because our music director is SUPER enthusiastic about this sort of thing and he WILL arrange regular in-service singing and regular services and he WILL burn himself out because he just loves doing this so much) practiced for two hours before the Christmas Eve Vigil (.... our Midnight Mass except it ended a lot earlier than last year's) and we still managed to sing the Matins Responsary with all the right harmonies :)
#granted that meant that we had our substitute director singing the cantor part and a soprano singing the baritone part#but it WORKED#slings and arrows of outrageous fortune in year 21#still amazed that it turned out so well!!! by the grace of God alone truly!!!

That's My Wife! | LH44
Summary: lewis & reader get married and make an instagram reel displaying their shock. (PLEASE check out this👇 reel cause it inspired me.) //www.instagram.com/reel/C6Wxj_zR_l1/
a/n: this is my first time writing on here. Im excited but nervous cause I feel like someone will judge me or call me out for copying (which i would never do). Let me know what you think & requests are open.
• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •
You laughed loudly as Lewis' arms wrapped around you and pulled you back into his chest. The elevator you were in was bright and empty so your giggles bounced off the walls.
"Oh my gosh, Lew. We're going to fall over!" You exclaimed as he nuzzled his head into the crook of your neck and rocked the both of you side to side. You weren't actually worried but your intoxicated state did mean that if you went down, Lewis would have to bear all the weight.
"You smell amazing," he mumbled. "You look amazing, you feel amazing. God, I love you." He pressed kisses onto your neck, ear, and temple as you hummed in contentment. You and Lewis had left your wedding reception to get some time alone and rest before tomorrow's big brunch. The reception was somehow still in full swing at midnight with uncles and aunts from both sides tearing up the dance floor. It had been the best wedding you had ever attended. Gold and ivory fabric adorned every table, chair, and wall with large crystal chandeliers hanging from the high ceilings and fairy lights in the rose garden to top it all off. The wedding planning had taken months and left you with many sleepless nights, but in the end, it all came together and was worth the hassle.
Now, in the elevator on the way to your room, the two of you took a second to breathe. You reached up to stroke Lewis' head on your shoulder. "I love you more. I can't believe I get to spend eternity with you." You said to him. He straightened up just as the elevator dinged and opened it's doors, allowing him to lead you out by your hand. He stepped into the empty hallway of the hotel, walked over the wall and whipped out his phone to fiddle with it.
"What are you doing?" You asked as you stood there with the train of your big white dress draped over one arm and your silver heels in the other hand. "Give me a sec." His brown eyes connected with yours as he glanced over his shoulder before he quickly set his phone up against the wall. Lewis stepped back to take your shoes out of your hands and pull you closer to him in front of the camera. "I'm just introducing everyone to my wife, baby." He smiled at you.
Your breath hitched and you grinned back. Lewis calling you his wife was thrilling and you felt butterflies in your stomach. He pecked your lips then turned to his phone. "Hey! What are you looking at? Are you eyeing my wife?!" He said to the camera as he took on a threatening stance. You giggled at his antics before giving the phone a stink eye and leaning towards your reflection in it. "Yo, are you really trying my husband? You've got to get through me first." You were both boisterously laughing at this stage.
His beautiful brown eyes sparkled with pure joy when he looked you. He would never stop thanking his lucky stars that he had met you. You were truly the most etheral being he had ever laid eyes on. With your hair done up, your make-up accentuating your best features and your beautiful lips gracing him with a smile. You wrapped one arm around his shoulders and raised your diamond-clad left hand at the camera sassily. "You see this ring? I'm his wife! That's right." You laughed. He lifted his hand too to show off his diamond crusted ring as well.
"I'm her husband so you better back up" he placed his hand over yours so that both rings were on display for the phone still recording your shenanigans. "I'm a married man. I'm a hubby, now. So watch yourself."
You dissolved into more laughter at that. The glasses of wine you had drank all evening were definitely working through your system right now. "We're married! We're a married couple! I'm your wife! " you were yelling and laughing at the same time. Struggling to keep yourself upright, you leaned into Lewis more. He caught you and reciprocated your energy. "I know, baby! Oh, man. I can't believe it! How is this allowed??"
You looked at the man of your dreams. Looking beautiful in a white suit bedazzled with expensive jewels. His bright eyes, pinks lips, sweet dimple. All of him was yours. Yours to love and to hold til death do you apart. Facing you, he lifted his hands to your face and gently pressed a kiss to your lips. You smiled into it and wrapped your arms around his waist.
"I love you so so much, Mrs Hamilton." He whispered against your lips. He kissed you again, deeply this time and you groaned into his mouth. Feeling electricity run straight to his groin, Lewis pulled away to quickly turn to the camera. "And, now we're off to do married couple things!" He snickered.
"Lewis-" You exclaimed as he cut the video.

Midnight Dances (10th Doctor x Gn! Reader)
Midnight Dances (10th doctor x gn! reader)
Word count - 1753
Warnings - tons of fluff with angst sprinkled in
Pairing(s) - 10th doctor x Gn! Reader
Summary - You show The Doctor a few new moves
Never travel alone. That was the one piece of advice The Doctor always seemed to get. But, no matter how hard he tried he always lost everyone. Some would call him a hero, others a villain. He would call himself a lost cause, a soul floating alone in the wide universe desperate for a friend.
He never viewed his past companions in a negative light. For him, they sparkled like diamonds in the Gallifrey suns. Only to be tarnished by the sadness that seemed to wash over him if he sat and thought about them for too long.
Especially Rose, always Rose. She was one of the special ones. The one that saw him for who he truly was and still choose to stay and even love him. Gods did he truly love her. She was everything to him, and that’s why it pained him so badly to say goodbye and that's why he’d never let something like that happen again. At least not if he could help it.
The Doctor needed a break, he needed to go somewhere where he wasn’t a walking hazard to everyone around him. Where ever he went trouble always seemed to follow, and he wanted to desperately avoid that this time. He wanted to live up to his name this time around and actually do some good (at least good in his eyes).
So, he sent the Tardis to 14th-century England. The good old renaissance period! He wasn’t exactly sure what he was expecting when it came to showing up in this period. If anything he’d just walk around watching the humans as they were a little more native during this period, and maybe even eat one of those big turkey legs. He always wondered how humans were able to simply eat a turkeys leg that big. But, that's humans for you - always finding new ways to eat things.
With a small hum, he parked the Tardis in a discreet corner and trudged around the town square. A tiny shadow of a smile began to tug at his lips as he let his eyes wander around the town. The hustle and bustle of it all warmed his heart. Slowly but surely he spun around trying to get the full effect of everything that was happening around him.
Sudden music lit up the town as he walked deeper into the heart of the square and everyone seemed to happily join in on the fun. Respectfully he kept his distance from it all. He wanted to watch for now instead of interrupt things. However, that plan was practically destroyed when he saw you.
You were in the center of what looked like to be a dance circle. Spinning, dancing, and clapping to your heart's content. The Doctor felt both his hearts melt at the same time and knew he was truly in for it now.
Without even realizing it he began to walk closer to the action, or if he was being truthful- closer to you. You were like the warmest bit of sunshine the universe had to offer, and he was freezing to death. The simple sight of you was enough to grip him by his wacky tie and pull him deep down for a wild ride he had no idea he signed up for.
Whilst you were dancing you couldn’t help the smile that graced your features. You weren’t relatively sought after on any other normal day. Being the daughter of the village's flower seller didn’t come with any amazing dowry. However, when you danced during the festival heads turned. You secretly adored the attention, any person surely would.
However, this night was different and you couldn’t put your finger quite on why. Until you saw him. The tall handsome stranger that seemed to only have eyes for you. He wore the strangest clothes you had ever seen. But, they seemed to fit him rather well. Your eyes mainly wanted to focus on his deep brown chocolate eyes and the messiest hair you’d ever seen.
As he seemed to get closer and closer to you, you reached out your hand silently asking for a dance. The whole world seemed to stop as he slowly glanced down at your hand and then back up to your eyes. His right eyebrow rose up almost to ask if you truly meant it. To this, you nodded and noticed the sweetest gentle smile that rose to his lips upon seeing this.
Even The Doctor, the oncoming storm, couldn’t deny nor fight the spark that rose within him when he finally took your hand in his. Excitedly, you practically dragged him into the center and let the music move your feet. Both of The Doctor’s heart’s raced against his chest as you lead him in a semi-traditional dance. His eyes were glued to your feet desperately trying to save you from the pain of him accidentally stepping on you.
You, however, would not settle for this. Gently you stopped and took his chin in your fingers lifting his head up to meet yours again. With the warmest smile on your face you took one of his hands and guided it to your waist, and helped the other up with your hand. Lacing his fingers with yours, which seemed to make the entire universe halt to a standstill.
“Ready?” He said taking the biggest breath his lungs could manage.
“Always,” you replied with an eager grin on your face.
“Well in that case,” he paused for dramatic effect (time lords were drama kings but you knew this already) “, ALLONS-Y!” He cheered along with the crowd.
This was when he truly let loose, showing you exactly what he was made of. Each giggle that escaped your lips only pushed him further as he skipped with you throughout the dance circle. Lifting you high into the air, you practically felt like you were flying. When he did bring you back to earth, you could feel yourself slowly fall in love. You two spun and twirled, and he even managed a few dips in there.
“And here I thought you weren't a dancer!” You giggled as he spun you in a lift, that giggle being music to his ears.
“Well, you know what they say…. You have dancing shoes with nimble shoes. I have a soul of lead.” he spoke fast trying to brush over the fact that what he said hit too close to home, and that he just ripped off a future playwright.
The evening seemed to fly by with the brightest colors. You and The Doctor were stuck to each other like paper and glue, and neither of you wanted to leave the other's sight. You showed him everything your small English town had to offer, and he even got to impress you by buying you whatever you wanted from the local vendors.
“Wait so you’re saying you’ve never had a turkey leg?” You over dramatically gasped as you stared at him with wide eyes. In which he swore he could see stars.
“Yep!” he said popping the ‘p’ “What is that so hard to believe?” He raised an eyebrow trying to keep a serious expression. But, that was proven impossible by what happened next.
You shoved a turkey leg into his hands as you looked up expectantly. “Yes it is, try it!” You sassed not leaving him any room to question you. Well here went nothing. The things people (and timelords) did when falling in love right? Closing his eyes he bit into it, and surprisingly it wasn’t…the worst. In fact, it was far from it. “Oh my goodness this is brilliant! What legs will you humans think of eating next?” he chuckled shaking his head as he prepared himself for another bite.
There you stood utterly bewildered by the fact that this man in front of you could look at life with as much excitement and joy as you did. But, perhaps that’s because he called you lot humans instead something…..normal. Which, should have worried you more than it did. Maybe all you needed was a man from the stars to truly understand you, to whisk you away to far-off places, and help you never return again. But, that was just wishful thinking.
As the night came to a close you couldn’t help but feel a bit sad at the fact that you might never see this handsome stranger ever again. But, perhaps that’s all you were ever meant to be. Just two passing ships in the night.
You two walked aimlessly back to the center of town where it all began, and The Doctor paused for a brief moment. Thinking that what he was going to say next he might regret in the future, but he had to let his hearts try. At least one last time.
“So, listen tonight was great…fantastic even and I was-”
“Doctor listen if you’re trying to let me down easy, just tell me I’m used to it by now.” you cut him off nervously and his eyes widened.
“What no! I was wondering if you’d like to come back to my erm…box I’d love to show you something.” Once that sentence left his lips he inwardly cringed, that never EVER came out right.
Your face scrunched up hearing this “Show me something….in your box?” you asked awkwardly. So, he was crazy. Leave it to you to fall in love with the crazy visitor.
“It’s about as weird as it sounds, but trust me it’ll blow-oh just come with me.” he huffed taking your hand in his once more and tugging you towards his Tardis.
Jokingly, you rolled your eyes finding it hard to keep up with him at times. “Well, Allons-y then.” you teased repeating him from earlier that night.
Upon seeing the strange blue box your suspicions were only raised. At least he wasn’t lying about the box part. Your eyes flicked back and forth between The Doctor and the box. A soft grin lay on his face as he opened the door.
“Please you first,” he said holding the door wide open for you.
Sighing, you swallowed your courage and walked into The Doctor’s box not even slightly prepared for what you were about to see.
Your eyes widened as you danced around the center console room trying to grasp what exactly was happening.
What fell out of your lips was The Doctors absolute favorite part of gaining a new companion. “It’s bigger on the inside!” you gasped.
The Doctor smiled.

time capsule thread: dance of the heart with @/twilighttheater
summary: fueled by liquid courage, Blue decides she'll at least get her one dance with Red at the Goldenrod Grand Gala. one dance turns to several and Red then tries to make his move.
It's amazing how steady Blue is on her feet considering how many wine glasses she downed during her earlier conversation with Misty alone. Regardless of her stable footing, however, her inhibitions seem all but lost. With high color in her cheeks and a rare sparkle in her eye, she takes both of Red's hands and gently tugs him toward her.
"Dance with me?" After everything that's happened in the last several hours, she feels like the universe sorta owes her this.
—
He wasn't able to give Rosa the full explanation he'd wanted to, as she's quick to leave the second she sees that Blue is coming over. Though it doesn't seem like Blue completely realized she was there, it felt like she was paying attention to Red and only Red.
It took Red a moment to process the fact that she'd changed her dress sometime after the Magnemite incident had been solved. She was still just as beautiful as before if he was honest, though she was noticeably a bit more out of it now. Guess she must've had a few drinks while they'd briefly separated?
He can see that spark in her eyes this time however, and he remembers it so well. How many times had he seen that in his memories, and thought about how ridiculous he'd been to not notice?
He's not missing it this time, but he wonders if it means the same thing it meant in the past. It's a question he does pose but it's not one he lingers on either, instead deciding even if it didn't, he still had nothing to lose by reaching out. Things will start to be resolved between them only if they can actually talk about things like that.
But he'd rather act on this than talk at the moment, and it seems he's being given the excuse.
He smiles and turns them closer to the sound of the music. "I would love to."
—
Though she had been mostly confident that Red would humor her just for old times' sake, a tiny part of her had still been unsure of whether he'd actually accept her invitation. For all she knows, he might not even dance... Her qualms are quickly dispelled, however, when he draws them closer to the music with a gentle 'I would love to.'
Briefly, Blue holds his gaze. There he goes again, doing that maddening thing where he smiles and makes her heart flutter like a Butterfree. She then beams in return, hoping that whatever tumultuous feelings he's brought on don't rise to the surface. It's no small feat given her lack of sobriety; she yearns to present herself as an open book. It used to be so easy between them once upon a time...
But they're just starting to work through things, sparked by the events that had been brought to light in the concealed halls of the gallery earlier — there's no need to make everything infinitely more complicated.
"Thank you," she says softly. And then, they start to truly move.
By the gods' graces, the song playing is not a ballad. The beat is energetic and so are their steps. Blue might not hold a talent for the visual arts but she prides herself in being an excellent dancer and she's pleased to find that Red doesn't disappoint. Soon they find themselves spinning freely along their corner of the dance floor, getting carried away with the lively tune. It's easy to forget her cares and worries when all she has to do is fall into the rhythm, when she can turn off all her intrusive thoughts and just focus on moving her body alongside his.
Suddenly, Red twirls her and she falls into a graceful spin with her hands held high, the skirt of her dress fluttering around her. She spins faster, dramatically, a smile on her lips as she tips her head back. When she finally gets dizzy, she falls back into Red's arms in a fit of giggles. Oh, maybe she'd had one too much to drink.
"I had no idea you knew how to dance!" she laughs over the sound of the music, looking flushed and radiant as she playfully taps him on the nose.
—
Truth be told, he'd never been much of a dancer before, but in light of several events he'd attended over the years he had at least managed to build up more of a skill for it than before; more than he ever expected he'd have. Whether or not it would be enough to impress Blue was a complete other thing, but he figures maybe even if it doesn't, it would be something they could laugh about later. They needed things like that right now, and he was happy to provide that.
Still, they manage to follow the rhythm so naturally together. He feels like he's seeing glimpses in his memory of events far in the past when they were kids. Overjoyed just to be part of the fun, be there together like nothing could ever part them. He wasn't sure he'd ever feel that way in the present day ever again, not after everything he'd done. But there she was all smiles for now while the dance floor might as well be all theirs. He's absolutely captivated by her dramatic spin that he'd started and doesn't miss a beat in catching her when she falls back into his arms.
Part of him wants the moment to slow down, part of him is taking in all the energy in the room. Her laughter is so contagious when she taps his nose, happy to hold her close to keep her steady while her evident dizziness fades.
"And you've only gotten more amazing at it!" He replies with a grin. "That was the most intense move I've ever seen you do!"
—
Gone is the girl that would've scrambled to get herself upright and place as much respectable distance between them as she could. Red holds her close and she's got nothing to protest as she leans against him, her head resting on his shoulder as she waits for the room to stop spinning.
"Thank you. To be completely honest, that turned out far better than I expected," she beams, looking very much like the Purrloin who got the cream. In her mild state of inebriation, she'd expected to be a bit less graceful than when she's on form. As it turns out, the lack of inhibitions is liberating... perhaps in more ways than one.
Even when her world coasts back to a halt, she's reluctant to pull away. With Red's hands circling her waist loosely and the sound of his heart beating steadily against her ear, she feels more at home than she has in years...
If only she could tell him that. That and so many other things. Their unfinished conversation from earlier still haunts her but she knows now is not the time nor the place for it. As it is, she's lost her nerve to bring it up again.
They can't stay like this forever, either. She reluctantly withdraws from Red's embrace, but not before playfully tapping the brim of his hat upward so she can brush his bangs out of his face. His hair is a bit longer than she remembers and it suits him. Maybe she'll tell him before the night is over.
With her fingers now entwined with his, she entices him to join her in dance again. It sounds like the next song is another lively one.
—
For someone who seemed to always end up with background stress in his mind, for once he feels fairly free while being here dancing with her. Even while they've slowed down his mind doesn't wander, his focus is on the moment and he intends to keep it there. Her brushing his bangs from his face happens so quickly he's almost surprised, but he grins and readjusts his hat before she leads them both back into a dance.
He's careful to see if there are any signs of her feeling dizzy again, especially with another energetic song playing. But it feels like they're sweeping across their corner of the dance floor while keeping up with the beat; maybe he's feeling a bit more confident seeing her. Red himself may not have any flashy dance moves to show, but he's ever so happy to prompt Blue back into any that she wishes to show. Though he would naturally keep that attention on her if she tried any further dramatic spins, impressive as always but she was truly going to wear herself out at this rate.
He's not certain just how many songs pass them by through their fluid movements, beaming smiles, and the brightest laughter he'd had and seen from her in such a long time. But it's not hard to tell when they've both had enough, Blue seems so wiped out as Red takes her hand again to lead her outside the building. The music is left muffled behind them, and the cooler breeze feels nice.
"Didn't realize it was already so late in the day," Red states while looking up at the sky. "Feels like time just ticked right by us, but..."
He looked back at her with a warm smile. "Your dancing was fantastic, and so was dancing with you. I'm just glad I was able to keep up with you, guess the practice paid off."
—
Blue's lost track of how much time has passed since they stepped onto the dance floor together. Despite the fatigue, though, her joy is evident in the brightness of her smile and the rosy glow lighting up her cheeks. She can't remember when was the last time she and Red were able to have fun like this, never mind the last time she'd let her guard down long enough for him to catch a glimpse of the girl she used to be; the girl he might remember from almost a decade ago.
Unfortunately, after whirlwinding their way through about half a dozen lively songs or so, she's run out of steam. It's no surprise, though; the night has been hectic, full of unprecedented and exhausting events both physical and emotional alike. It's almost like Red knows, his hold on her hand delicate as he leads her past the double doors into the open-air courtyard without any prompting.
The crisp nighttime air raises goosebumps along her arms but she otherwise welcomes it, the breeze's cool caress wonderful against her overheated skin. Following Red's gaze, she looks up at the sky, the blanket of stars stretching over their heads to infinity. With the city lights dimmed in the aftermath of the blackout, the stars seem to sparkle brighter than ever... or maybe it's all in her head. The past hour or so has felt a bit magical, even after the alcohol wore off.
"Can't believe the night is almost over. Hardly even noticed." She returns his smile in earnest. "Thank you for dancing with me. Now that your secret talent is out, though, I hope you know you're at risk of receiving future dance invitations."
Maybe she's teasing, or perhaps not. Her relaxed face betrays nothing.
Despite her newfound cheeriness, she can no longer ignore her body's complaints so she unceremoniously drops onto a nearby bench, leaving enough room beside her in case Red wants to join her. After all that dancing, her feet are killing her.
The breeze picks up and she briefly finds herself wishing she were wearing a bit more. She rubs her arms idly to keep warm. It'll pass.
"I'll be honest," she says after a few quiet moments, choosing this moment to rub her sore ankles just so she can avoid his gaze. "I never thought we'd be able to have fun together like this again. I'm... really happy to see I was wrong, though."
—
"I'll be looking forward to it," he answers to the thought of further invitations. The thought honestly comes to him just so easily, more than he thought it would even. But his mind is feeling more impulsive, from the long day and their emotional moment from earlier. It's making him throw his overthinking out the window, for better or worse.
I need to tell her, he thinks. No matter if it's complicated, and she just can't accept, she does deserve to know doesn't she?
It's the least he could do after all this, he doesn't want to keep so many secrets when she's involved. He wants desperately for her to know that she can trust him again, though he also knows well that these things do take time. It was just... hard to not feel excited, hard to not think again about some sort of hypothetical situation for them.
Their quiet moment being broken also interrupts his thoughts, but he doesn't really mind. If anything... he feels like she's saying something she likely needed to, as much as it stings; he also knows it's true.
"...Well you're not the only one," he replies. "I wasn't very good at seeing into some sort of positive future before. Sometimes it's still hard even, but... times like this make it worth it."
I don't regret coming back.
He knows some part of him was left up on the mountain even now, but he still wants her to know just how much this means to him too. He doesn't want to dwell on it, and ruin a perfectly good evening that they have to themselves. Crowd inside be damned.
He does hear inside that the next song is playing, and it's much slower than anything else they've done tonight. He's not really in the mood to return to the group again... but there would be room to just move about out here, if they so chose.
He must be feeling bold today, it seems. He has this idle thought, and his actions follow it up without hesitation.
"I suppose if you have enough energy for one last dance, this one might be a bit more easy to handle."
—
Sometimes it is hard to consider that the future could hold something positive for them, whatever their relationship might be. At some point years ago, she had resigned herself to thinking that the two of them as close friends was just a thing of the past, that her long-standing love for him was always meant to remain unrequited, buried and left to haunt her like a ghost anytime her thoughts drifted too close to him and what could have been.
Of course, that hadn't been as much of a problem when he'd been absent from her life for years. There was always a hollowness, a dull ache in her chest, but she could drown that by keeping her mind engaged and distracted, by working herself to the point where she was just too tired to fall back into that trap. It's far more difficult to ignore it with him right here.
Perhaps what kills her the most is that he's making an effort now, isn't he? His support and appearance at the gala, the matching outfits, the forget-me-nots, the way he's been glued to her side for the better part of the night, both in leisure and in battle. It's belated, by all means, but earnest nonetheless.
Does he hope to mend their friendship? Is he seeking out something more? For not the first time this night, she vehemently squashes any thoughts of the latter. She can't think or hope like that, no matter how badly her wistful heart wishes for it to be so. She's already risking enough by letting him into her life again.
As she dares meet his eyes again, as she drinks in the sight of him bathed in moonlight, it dawns on her just how difficult this is. The gentleness in his eyes, paired with that easy smile, pokes at the flaws in her armor. Caught in a panic, she tears her gaze away from him, choosing instead to fiddle with one of the many rings adorning her fingers. Still, out of the corner of her eye, she notices that Red is now holding out a hand to her.
Gentle piano notes carry over through the double doors and Blue realizes, with mild panic, that Red is asking her to dance to a ballad. Out here. Alone. Just the two of them.
Her heart careens within the confines of her ribcage. For the love of Mew, why is he doing this now? She's very much sober by this point, all remnants of her earlier liquid courage long gone. The rational part of her is at war with herself, torn between 'it's just one dance' and 'you'll regret being so close to him'. But he's humored her for the better part of the last hour... She can at least give him this.
"...Sure, yeah. One last dance," she finally agrees. She can survive the next five minutes or so, even if she might possibly be in shambles after. Nothing a quick trip to the refreshments table afterward won't be able to fix...
She takes one deep, calming breath, and takes his offered hand, allowing Red to help her up and pull her close. Too close, when she's so emotionally compromised. Oh, Mew... she's made a mistake, she already regrets this.
—
He's so happy when she accepts, taking his hand and allowing him to bring her closer again. He can't deny the fact his heart is pounding, it feels like it's so loud it's almost hard to focus on the music. Yet even with this, he feels... relief, excitement, genuinely glad to be here in the moment with her. He brings his other hand to her waist while he prompts their movements, calm in swaying to the music.
"I wasn't much of a dancer back then, you know that anyway." He speaks softly. "But I suppose... call this making up for lost time, I know I would've liked to have done something like this sooner."
What would it have been like if he hadn't been constantly stepping to the side, believing that Blue and Green would've been a couple one day? He knows there's no point to really asking questions like that, but he remembers their moments of closeness before this point too. The festival they attended, the forest, every bit of the support she gave that he can never thank her enough for.
He eventually moved both of his hands to her waist, which is when he does realize that she seems so much more nervous than she had been earlier. The hints in her movements are subtle, but he notices and tries to give her a comforting smile. Her eyes looked like they were shining right now, up close to him and under the bright night sky. He knows what it's like when her smiles meet those deep blue eyes, he would like to see that at least one more time before the night is out.
It's just a few minutes, yet it feels like it goes on for so much longer. He can hear the ending notes of the song around the corner, and he steadies them both to a stop; but doesn't let go quite yet. His impulsive side still has a grip on him and he allows it, as he lifts one hand to caress her cheek.
What is there left to really say? He knows what he wants to do. Would she allow him? Would she be happy?
He leans in gently, closer than he ever expected he would be today. Yet as the music fades out behind them, he starts to hear a rustling getting awfully close to them.
—
Calm down, it’s just one dance.
A teenaged version of herself used to dream of moments like this, beyond the innocent whirls and sways at the Celadon flower festival, or even the thrilling and showstopping dances they’d shared not even half an hour ago. Their fingers intertwined, hardly a breath of sanity left in her as Red’s fingers splay across the small of her back and pull her close… so close that she can make out flecks of amber in his scarlet irises.
A woman stronger than her would allow herself to savor this moment for what it is, would lean against him and make his shoulder her resting place as they sway gently to the rhythm, lost in their own time, and then be able to walk away with her sanity intact. As it is, though, Blue is weak and this treasured moment might be her undoing. Once more, her sense of self-preservation finds itself waging a fierce battle against her yearning for him. It's too much. She wants to run. She can stop this now, claim her feet can no longer take it, that she’s needed elsewhere to wrap up the festivities—
—and then he whispers, like a secret, that he would’ve liked to do something like this sooner, echoing fantasies of her former self… and she’s weak, so she stays.
Me too, she thinks. Oh Red, you have no idea…
Her breath hitches as his leading hand releases hers and joins his other at her waist, leaving her with no choice but to loosely wrap her arms around his neck.
Mew… They’re impossibly close now and her heart can’t take it, she has to get away… But his touch at her waist grounds her, the gentle smile gracing his lips soothes her and leads her to her doom like a sailor hopelessly haunted by a siren’s song.
Are her feelings written on her face? Can he see the apprehension intermingled with the longing? The fear as she realizes that she’s never been more vulnerable as she is right now, enveloped in his arms? As it is, she can’t tear her eyes away from him. It’s like she’s bewitched… or maybe just in love.
With him, she always has been.
The rest of the dance passes by in a blur until, mercifully, the song starts to wind down. She’s waiting expectantly for him to release her from his trap so she can scamper away to the safety of the bar. Arceus, not even wine can calm her frayed nerves, so she'll need something STRONGER.
But that moment of freedom doesn’t come. They’ve stopped but Red’s hold on her remains steadfast. What is he…? Oh…
A tentative hand brushes Blue's cheek. It’s feather-light, barely there, but she is so strikingly aware. It’s difficult to breathe. This… this is…
Her voice is breathless, uneven, as she remains painfully still. “Red…”
Oh, she wants this and she wants him. She wants him more than she’s ever wanted anything or anyone. She’s well aware that she’s trembling. In panic, in anticipation, oh gods, she doesn’t know. And then, he leans in and all remaining breath leaves her lungs as their noses brush.
She shouldn’t. It’s too fast, the old wound too freshly re-opened, but she wants it anyway. Does she take the risk? What if it ruins her? Oh, hell… With Red looking at her with nothing short of absolute adoration, she finds any resolve or self-control she has left slowly crumbling.
Her lips part, her eyes fluttering shut as she leans in to close the gap between them—
“ZUUUUUUUUUUUUU!”
Startled, Blue sharply pulls back just as a familiar-looking Azumarill bursts through the bushes. Delta. Not only would Blue recognize Rosa’s aqua rabbit anywhere, but she’s also still cradling the taped-up Nanab berry she stole earlier. The water-type frantically looks all around the courtyard, as if wary of something or someone, before staring up at the two of them with her beady eyes. She clutches the berry to herself. “Azu! Zu!”
Blue's face is burning. She holds a hand over her chest, willing her heart to stop racing at such back-breaking speeds.
They… she had almost… gods.
But the moment is shattered now, isn't it? Blue glances from Delta to the ballroom's double doors, too chagrined to make eye contact with Red right now. From here, she can make out the DJ giving out their thanks as they wrap up their set for the night. Ah, that's right... in about a moment, she'll be needed elsewhere.
"I better go," she mutters half-heartedly. "Thank you for... everything."
And with that, she's gone.
—
It was so sudden, how they'd been so close just now only for the moment to be ripped away in an instant. His mind was having a hard time catching up with what just happened, if he wasn't flustered before this then he definitely was now. Though he didn't have any regrets in shutting off the guilt, the hesitation, and just letting his feelings take control for awhile.
What sort of bad luck did they have for things to play out like this?
He futilely raises a hand, wanting to say wait-- when Blue's already gone. Attending to her gala again, though he's not sure he'd be able to get the words out anyway. Once again his voice has locked up on him, as though all the emotions he shut off for just that moment are crashing down and he is feeling their weight.
All he can do is sigh, while reaching over to pat the Azumarill's head. He supposes it would be at least once that a pokémon would interrupt a kiss, huh? Maybe later on in life, this moment will be more funny to talk about. But for now, it's not really that funny, he feels more like another moment has been ripped away.
In a way he wants to look on the bright side, as he feels his resolve is stronger now after this. Maybe next time there will be... less of this hesitation haunting him.
Naturally, though his mind begs the question, would she even let there be a next time?
...
He supposes he's just going to have to find out, someday soon hopefully.

Little Man Cub:
My son was two years old when I got news of his existence. At that point in my life, I never even knew it was possible for my kind to father children.. I had gotten the call after his mother's demise..her own mother had thought, from the beginning, that I had the right to know and had fought for that right up until the decision was her own to make.
The day I got the letter from that old Indian medicine woman, my entire life changed, and I swear only then did I know true and utter fear. The life I live was no place for children, and this one had been thrust into my life and in my arms. We were barely getting things together for our own freedom, and now I was expected to fight for another little being's freedom. [No pressure..]
I had no idea how to raise a young one, let alone be a proper father, or even how to keep this child safe. It's not like parenthood comes with instructions. Even the humans, who had been doing this for millennia, still managed to fuck it up.
His grandmother said she loved him, but she was an old woman who had no business raising a wild wolf child who's father was still in his prime. I was terrified..I had begged her to reconsider and to take the boy back, but she'd refused, not for lack of love. I could see the tired circles around the Indian's eyes and knew her well. She never set something lose that couldn't care for itself. Or in my case, give me care of a child she didn't believe would be properly cared for. This was a large milestone for not just myself, but for the Breeds as a people. It was, in deed, possible to procreate.
Since my son was two years old..I've raised him on my own, and done my very best to give him a life, and a father he could be proud of. I haven't always made the right decisions and we've had some bumps and scrapes along the way, but thus far, he's turning out to be a sharp little shit.
My son, whom I named Dash Emery, will have the best life I can possibly give him. With the help of an absolutely amazing girlfriend to be the mother figure to a boy who couldn't help the poor parents he was born to, he will have a decent life, if it kills me giving it to him. By the grace of whatever god governs us, this little boy just may make it out alright.
I want to thank you, Emilia Mason..for being the mother my son never knew. You didn't have to step in and take over that role, but I am so glad you did. Without you, there's no telling where we would be. You've tamed this lone wolf and gave a cub a family he never would have had otherwise. Without you, Dash and I both would have missed out on knowing the bliss of being loved truly and wholly for being just us. You've come in and taken over a role and you play it to the 'T' baby..no one will ever be able to do it as well as you. You are the perfect mother to a boy that isn't biologically yours, and you're an even better mate to a man who is less than deserving. Please, continue to hold this family together, and make us whole. _______________________ -> Letter to #Dash -> #Damian #Emilia

the 10th installment of my netflix & chill series !
SUMMARY Never mind the fact you really like Sailor Moon, or that you really want to pay attention to every little detail; the moment becomes Jungkook and his big smile and his red cheeks and the tiny box he produces from within his pocket. WARNINGS smut in the forms of making out, jk nipple play, some 69 action, cunnilingus, blowjobs, brief choking, jk trying his best to listen to oc but he doesn’t rlly :/, fingering, missionary bc his eyes are pretty, unprotected fuckin raw, its romantic but when is it not… MISC fluffy and domestic <3, weekend getaway <3, the Big Question, shy jk, sailor moon supremacy, jk makes this big elaborate speech about the sun and moon, mentions of 240p YouTube quality, RATING m (18+) WC 8.7k
NOTE (!) the smut in this chapter is relatively short ! I was more concerned with writing this monumental step in their relationship, so sorry to all the lads who come here specifically for the p0rn but today we focus on the l0ve <333 anyway nc 10!!!!! Can u fuckin believe….
Jungkook mentions it at the dinner table one night. You’re not eating— well, you are not eating; Jungkook has been stocking up on his protein intake like a madman —but finishing up some work you had brought home. Your back aches, your eyes burn. The mere sound of his soft voice has all those feel-good endorphins shooting through your nervous system like a shot of adrenaline. “We should take a trip,” he says, fork clattering against his plate to signify the end of his feast.
Your fingers tap across your keyboard, eyes flickering between an Excel sheet and the report you’re typing out. It takes you a moment to respond, a delayed, “huh,” that even Jungkook doesn’t find convincing.
In the background, you’re listening to what has to be one of the worst voiceovers of the original Sailor Moon series in a language you don’t even understand. But you know the series like the back of your hand, know what exactly is happening even if you don’t understand what they’re saying, because you’ve watched it only about a million times. It’s mostly just there for background purposes anyway, some white noise to try and replicate the noisy soundtrack of your office.
To make matters worse—complicated?—, you had been too lazy to get onto your usual pirating sites and had settled for the five minute, five part, 240p clips of Sailor Moon on YouTube (you know the ones), and Jungkook has to wait until Episode 74: Part ⅖ ends before you grace him with a proper response. “Where do you wanna go, baby?” you ask, giving your eyes a break from the data as you move to scour YouTube for Episode 74: Part 3/5.
He’s stretching back now, arms wound up above his head. His hair— god, his hair —is an ashy color now, a faded version of its golden ancestor from a few months ago. Soon, he’s planning on going back to brown, claims he’s getting too old to be dying his hair, whatever that means. For now, you watch his inked fingers run through his scalp; he looks delectable. Maybe you’re hungrier than you initially thought. Or at least thirstier. “A cabin,” he suggests, and he offers this little half shrug that would otherwise seem normal had you not been well-versed in the art of Jungkook Body Language. His front teeth nibble at his lip, eyes laser focused on his empty plate. Even now, he still gets nervous asking you out. That thought alone makes your ego soar as high as an airplane. “Just something small.”
Usually, “something small” with Jungkook ends up being something big and, in most cases, something expensive. Which you’re totally not opposed to— you’re at the point in your relationship where you don’t even bother trying to dissuade Jungkook from showering you with gifts. It’s one of his many, many, many, many forms of loving you and, well, he knows you like the back of his hand. He rarely misses.
Lo and behold, it is a grander affair than a simple cabin. “Well, it’s more like a resort,” he confesses, reaching across the table for your hand. Immediately, his thumb finds itself rubbing over the simple band of your promise ring. “Just wanna do something nice for you. I know you’ve been tired lately,” he adds on, voice a quiet murmur that nearly gets lost under the intensity of the pout that appears whenever he becomes even the slightest bit bashful.
You smile, the fondness in your heart skyrocketing to impossible heights when he lifts your hand to press those pretty petal lips against your knuckles. “Well, just let me know when,” you tell Jungkook. “So I can request time off from work.”
Episode 74: Part 3/5 starts playing after an ad, and you’d pause it for the sake of preserving this moment with Jungkook, but it’s hidden under so many tabs on your laptop that you lose it the second you leave the tab. Jungkook’s head tilts to the side, sending his ashy locks cascading beautifully. “You know that show is on Crunchyroll,” Jungkook says, seemingly moving past his bout of shyness now. “And you have the password.”
“Do I,” you murmur, but he’s lost you once more, your true talent of typing with one hand showing itself as you return to your Excel sheet, the other still firmly squeezed in his grasp. Jungkook releases soon enough anyway, cleans up the table quickly, and disappears off into the kitchen. He sings when he washes the dishes, likes to pretend he’s a terrible singer even though you’ve told him countless times he could easily take X Factor by storm. (And you know exactly what it takes to wow those judges— you spent the entire last month psychotically watching multiple X Factor seasons from multiple different countries, nearly considered joining the damn audition yourself.) The horribly dubbed Sailor Moon is yelling now, shrieking really, and Jungkook calls from the kitchen, “don’t forget to take your contacts out, sweetheart.”
It’s domestic and it's nerve-wracking.
You want Jungkook, that much is a fact. Aristotle and Socrates and that other guy could debate the philosophical intricacies of the world, turn this dimension in on itself until it was a scrambled mess of emotion and thought, but the one thing they could never change, could never even question, is your love for your boyfriend. You want Jungkook badly, but more importantly, you want Jungkook forever.
And you’re sure Jungkook probably, maybe, hopefully feels that way too. But the way you feel is… slightly concerning to say the least. For starters, you’re convinced your love for Jungkook was meant to be, and that’s saying a lot coming from you. You’re not one for cheesy, soulmate tales— that was more Jungkook’s thing —but the more you think about it, the more you become convinced that you and Jungkook were destined to meet. Like the planets aligned one year, the stars conferred, a tectonic plate somewhere in California shifted; whatever it may have been, something happened somewhere that led to the birth of this beautiful romance of yours.
Lately, being with Jungkook has this inexplicably fiery feeling blossoming in your chest, these waves of emotion that sometimes have you fantasizing about the weirdest of scenarios with him. Like yelling at him for not taking the garbage out on time, or bumping into each other as you make dinner in the kitchen, or buying a new rug together.
(Most drastically, the other day, you had a dream where you were pregnant and Jungkook was there and there was a house and a dog and an annoyingly friendly neighbor and this god-awful tile in the bathroom.)
Long story short, you’ve been fantasizing about a forever with Jungkook. The concerning part is the timing; was this too early? You’re nearly halfway through your second year with Jungkook now, and you know most people date for many, many years before the mere thought of union even occurs to them. In another life, maybe you were the same, would have held off until the very last moment. But with Jungkook things just feel right (at least for you), like there wasn’t going to be anyone else after him. And you sincerely hoped there wouldn’t be.
You slump back into your seat, eyes fluttering shut. Too many thoughts swirl around your mind, and the screech of the Sailor Moon voiceover on screen certainly doesn’t help. How you managed to spiral that far down your thoughts in the span of one 240p, five minute clip of a larger episode amazes even you. To add onto your worries, the clip abruptly ends and Episode 74: Part ⅘ is nowhere in sight, a fact that draws a frustrated moan out of the already sensitive you.
Luckily, Jungkook eventually returns, standing closely behind you. His presence is enormous, the room suddenly overflowing with a shit ton of those feel-good endorphins all over again, except this time they reach an all-time high when he leans over and quietly shuts your laptop. “Come sleep,” he says softly, and it’s a pleasant mixture of his genuinely caring voice and that horndog purr of his that lures you into bed. And it’s that same voice that croons softly into your ear, fingers nestled between your folds until you’re orgasming yourself into a deep slumber.
Much to no one’s surprise, the cabin turns out to be quite the luxurious lodging; two floors of dark oak everywhere you turn, a stunning stone fireplace in the bedroom, and a truly breathtaking view of the resort’s snowy hill (read: front row seats to watch all the snowboarders and skiers wipe out in the snow). Jungkook had splurged quite the pretty penny on it, so you make a point to clap it up for him when he first opens the door to your temporary home for the weekend.
The main bedroom is beyond words. It’s got an attached balcony (that you doubt you’ll be using in this chilly weather), and a wooden canopy bed that makes you feel like a royal (that you will certainly be using). It’s separated into two areas, the bed space and a tiny entertainment area on the other side of the room. Perhaps the best thing about the room— and the cabin itself —is the huge, smart TV mounted above said stone fireplace and the fact it allows the phone mirroring option in lieu of not having any streaming sites. And as is with every and anything to do with televisions, Jungkook is the most excited of the two of you. “Baby, look,” he beams, pointing excitedly at whatever he’s got mirrored onto the television this time. Knowing him, it’s probably another documentary.
You had the forethought to finish your work before the trip, spent two days in the office going absolutely ham on this month’s final reports until your department head promptly sent you home to finish the rest there. You had given yourself a fright upon entering the bathroom that night, the state of your under eyes so severe, you feared it was sufficient cause for a national emergency. Similarly, Jungkook had done the same with his work, cooped himself up in his study until he was free from the shackles of capitalism for the weekend. All this to say you’ve missed him these past few days.
But even though you’re sorely malnourished in the affection department and craving a good kiss or two, you wouldn’t dare interrupt one of Jungkook’s little nerdy, tech-induced fanboy moments. They’re cute, in their own geeky way, providing some insight to a mellower side of your boyfriend who looks on with childlike wonder; Jungkook’s eyes always get so big when he talks about nerdy stuff. You get to work hanging up the silk shirt he packed for tomorrow night’s fancy dinner at the resort, listening to some British narrator’s detailed description of the functionally extinct Northern white rhinos living under 24-hour surveillance in Kenya.
(Jungkook’s really into nature documentaries again, had spent a few nights sniffling as he watched that one Koko the gorilla film.)
The original plan was to head to the nearest store and whip up something small to eat at the cabin. But Jungkook is a little tired from the long drive, slumps down into the couch in front of the now lit fireplace like a limbless blob as he tunes into his documentary. His nose is a little red from the outside chill. It’s so cute. He’s so cute. You love him so much, you fear you’ll accidentally squeeze his cheeks to death. It’s a thought that occurs more times than you’d like.
According to the pamphlet on the nightstand, the resort has its own room-service to order from. Normally you would do that, but not this time; you had gotten into a bit of a squabble with the man at the front desk after he had tried to withhold Jungkook’s reservation for arriving two minutes past your check-in time, called each other all sorts of names before he backed down and gave you your room key. So you’re still a little salty, to say the least. Instead, you settle in for some pizza in front of the huge TV, calling up the nearest place to order some of Jungkook’s and your favorites.
You plop down beside him, instinctively cuddling closer when he wraps an arm around your shoulders. “So,” you start, flipping through the rest of the resort’s introductory pamphlet. There’s a loud roar on screen. In all honesty, you didn’t even know what Northern white rhinos sounded like until then, and you probably never would have if not for the man beside you. “What are you in the mood for tonight, sweet boy?”
You’re not sure if it’s the fatigue or the overall relaxed vibes he’d been exuding since the moment you entered the cabin, but Jungkook is weirdly cooperative today. “Whatever you want,” he responds, head on your shoulder. He even places the remote in your hands, gives your enclosed fist a gentle tap as if he’s just handed you the secret to eternal youth. In other words, it’s a rare sight to behold. “This is your trip, pretty girl.”
You appreciate the sentiment, but feel the need to clear the air, tucking your feet up onto the couch as you snuggle closer. “Our trip,” you clarify, and snatch the remote anyway before he changes his mind.
Jungkook releases a quiet huff of laughter, head rolling back against the couch cushions to display his thick, juicy neck that definitely doesn’t awaken any vampiric tendencies in you. “We can even watch some anime if you want,” he murmurs, casually throwing an arm around your shoulders in a way that would have made any teenage girl in the early 2000s squeal with excitement. It’s one of those barely there touches, but the way he holds you makes you feel so safe and warm and loved. So loved and in love. “The ones on Crunchyroll, though.”
For the sake of preserving these good vibes (and your ears [and Jungkook’s sanity]), you navigate to the Crunchyroll app on your phone, quickly finding your latest obsession and mirroring it onto the big television before Jungkook can react. “Sailor Moon?” he asks with a tone that implies a feigned interest, mostly out of respect for you; he’s, sadly, still not the big dorky anime fan you had hoped to convert him into.
“In the name of the moon, I’ll punish you,” you recite dutifully, snatching up the throw blanket on the end of the couch. It’s barely big enough to cover the both of you, has Jungkook’s outstretched legs and your booty subject to the chilly air. Who cares, Jungkook is a furnace anyway.
He snorts. “Punish me,” he mumbles, as if he doesn’t believe it. His snarky comment wins him a playful pinch against his doughy cheek, not that he particularly defends himself against it anyway, eyes fluttering shut as you tug at the pale skin.
“Don’t fuck with the moon, Jungkook,” you warn him, snuggling closely against his side as your favorite opening song begins filtering through the speakers of the television before you. It’s infinitely better than the 240p YouTube clips you had subjected yourself to the entire last week, the graphics scarily clear.
“Right, of course,” Jungkook says, but a hint of amusement seems to curl around the sound anyway. Nevertheless, he lets it go, cuddles into your side as you pour your full focus into watching yet another group of ragtag teenagers with supernatural abilities kick some ass.
You can tell Jungkook isn’t really into it, and you’re torn between just snuggling him into a well deserved nap or taping his eyelids open so he can become a fan of this show with you.
The loving, caring, adoring side of you says Jungkook deserves the entire world and more (the more in question preferably being a fluffy blanket and a nap). He worked hard this week, just like you, and on top of that he was the one who planned this entire weekend getaway for the two of you to enjoy. You want him to rest up.
The obnoxiously in love girlfriend-slash-best friend in you says Jungkook is sorely missing out on one of the greatest shows on planet Earth and that naps are for the weak.
Your jumbled thoughts are interrupted by a loud sound on the television, a yelp from Ms. Sailor Moon herself that has you jolting up in surprise. Jungkook welcomes you deeper into his embrace, chuckles at your little fright. “Scared?” he teases in that low voice that makes you feel like you’re going crazy, really. So crazy and irrational, and the only thing that stops you from bombarding him with an unexpected outpouring of love is that hard and sharp thing that pokes your side when you get too close to him. It’s not Jungkook, sadly, but something in the front pocket of his hoodie instead.
And for some reason, part of your brain is stuck all of a sudden, rewinding the last two and a half years like a broken cassette tape that had the tape reel hastily stuffed back inside by a toddler. It’s choppy to say the least, and it certainly doesn’t help when Jungkook calls your name softly, tenderly. “__,” he murmurs. It’s a little weird; it’s not often he says your name, mostly referring to you with one of the many pet names from that part of his vocabulary that focuses exclusively on terms of endearment. Your heart skips a beat.
Now, if anyone were to ask, it’s approximately around this time that you begin to spiral. The pink curve of his bottom lip is just too close, the mole on his nose too prominent. Paired with the obnoxious tittering of Usagi on screen, you can feel your thoughts begin to overlap, bumping into each other within the realm of your brain until all that comes out are the messiest of messy thoughts.
They go like this:
Most episodes of any anime run for approximately thirty minutes. Take out the commercial breaks, the opening and ending credits, and it becomes something closer to twenty. Twenty minutes per episode, filled with plot and gags and tears and whatever else necessary to make you feel something, anything really.
“What’s in your pocket?” you ask tentatively.
In contrast, it takes approximately two seconds for Jungkook’s lips to quirk up— first the right side, always the right side —and his eyes to crinkle. Two seconds for him to smile, a sweet expression that reminds you of Netflix and college and quiet laughter and tattoos and silly YouTube videos and cookies and cell phones and job applications and blond hair; two seconds to make you feel everything all at once.
“There’s nothing,” he says, but his cheeks are pink, and it’s not from the cold anymore. His smile is so big it makes your own cheeks ache just looking at it. You can’t even hear the television anymore. Never mind the fact you really like Sailor Moon, or that you really want to pay attention to every little detail; the moment becomes Jungkook and his big smile and his red cheeks and the tiny box he produces from within his pocket. “It was supposed to be for tomorrow,” he admits, unwrapping his arm from around you.
It’s a little funny, somehow, because his hands are covered in ink, in tiny doodles and intricate pieces of swirls and words that ooze this aura of strength and toughness. But they tremble when he opens it, as unsteady as a wispy dandelion on a windy day, fumbling with the box. And when you look closely, he’s been biting at the skin along his thumb again, that nervous habit you’ve been trying forever to help him overcome.
Someone is saying something on screen, something important to the plot. The volume is loud, but not as loud as your heart. Not as loud as Jungkook’s quiet murmur when he speaks again. “Will you marry me?” he asks softly, looks at you with flushed cheeks and big eyes and his heart on his sleeve.
The answer has always been the same, hasn’t changed since the first time he planted the seed in your mind. Still, it catches in your throat, nearly loses out to a surprised and emotional sob that you barely manage to bite down. You had just been speaking, had just been ready to deliver a whole spiel on the importance of him watching Sailor Moon with you. But when you try now, it’s raspy and dry, as if you haven’t used your voice in years. “I— yes,” you exhale, surprised by the lonely tear that trails down your cheek. You go to wipe it away, but Jungkook beats you with a gentle hand cupping your cheek.
His smile is wobbly, patches of red blossoming across his face that eventually consume his entire appearance as he leans his forehead against yours. Only then do you realize he’s crying, and you laugh out of reflex. “You’re crying,” you say, and Jungkook snorts.
“You cried first,” he sniffles, smiling. “You made me cry.”
He looks like a wreck, but, like, a hot wreck. An engaged, hot wreck who’s eyes flicker back to the TV to remind you to pause your anime, always so considerate. You do, hastily smashing buttons on the remote before remembering it’s controlled by your phone, hands flying back and forth as your nerves actively work to retire themselves after Jungkook’s proposal. “Easy there,” he soothes, eventually catching your hand in his, drawing it up for a kiss against your knuckles.
The ring fits perfectly, snuggly. Vaguely, a memory drifts through your thoughts of Jungkook and Doyeon on a rampant mission to reorganize your jewelry box a few months ago, but it disappears as quickly as it came. You’re taken by the ring, a simple band with a pretty diamond on top. It’s a good mixture of you and him; flashy yet mild.
“You love me,” you marvel, a revelation you’ve had the honor of experiencing time and time again with Jungkook. Still, it never fails to render you speechless. He hums.
“I do,” he says, taking your hand in his. “It’s the easiest thing for me. Like breathing, or existing. I think I was made to love you.” And normally, you’d be the first one to correct him. Jungkook was made for so much more, a fact he’s proven time and time again with his abilities and the sheer size of his heart. He was your golden boy, could do anything he set his mind to. Always amazing you, always making you fall in love all over again.
But now, with the weight of his words sitting heavy in the air, you find yourself incapable of negating the fact, instead sniffling at the meaning.
Pleased with your silence, Jungkook places another chaste kiss against your ring. “I love you, __,” he confesses, voice nearly a whisper. Your entire body feels as if it is doused in gasoline, lit aflame over and over again. Your heart threatens your rib cage, pounds away with the strength of a world renowned boxer. Jungkook’s hands curl around your wrists carefully. “I used to think we were like the moon and the sun,” he admits, “that you were my sun and I was your moon. In love but always separated by those thin veils of the sunrise and the sunset.” He pauses, nuzzling sweetly against your palm once more before gently guiding them down between the two of you. “But that really sucks— saying goodbye to you every night? I hate that, __. I hate watching you leave, I hate watching you run off in the mornings or halfway through the day, having to drive back and forth from your place to mine. I hate having to be away from you when all I wanna do is hold you. I— I want to be by your side,” he rambles, eyes nervously meeting yours. They’re still glassy, dark lashes framing his chocolate irises wonderfully. “Forever.”
Your heartbeat stutters, the simple word looping itself in your mind like that night in his dining room all over again, all the fantasies of having a forever with Jungkook bubbling to the surface. Jungkook pushes on. “You are my sun,” he says softly, mostly to himself. “But… I don’t wanna be the moon anymore. Being the moon means, eventually, I’ll have to say goodbye. In the night or in the morning, it always comes to an end. And I don't want there to be an end with you,” he insists, clutching your hand tightly. “I wanna be another star, the closest one to you. The one who gets to be with you forever. I wanna be by you and shine with you and—“
“Explode into a gazillion little fragments of cosmic dust with me,” you offer, and Jungkook nods along eagerly, too amped up on his speech to bother scolding you for your playful comment.
“Yes, I want to— to—“ The words catch in his throat. So much emotion from the man you once thought was the dictionary definition of calm and collected. “To—“
“Marry me,” you fill in, and Jungkook practically blows a fuse from how emotionally fired up he’s become, exclaiming a resolute, “yes!” that leaves you stupidly grinning back at him.
His outburst leaves him with flushed cheeks. “I do,” he reiterates in a softer tone, averting his gaze from you as if embarrassed by his cheesy outpouring of emotion. Usually, it’s the other way around; you make all the corny declarations of love and Jungkook laughs along suavely. It feels nice to have the tables turned.
There’s so much to say, but the words all fade away when Jungkook shyly looks at you again. You settle on tackling him back onto the couch cushions, taking his surprised little yelp in stride as you suffocate him in your embrace. “Save those words for the big day, superstar,” you giggle, peppering his red face with tiny kisses that make him scrunch up cutely. “I can’t wait to blow up into one huge supernova with you.”
Beneath you, Jungkook groans. “I’m sorry,” he huffs, voice muffled against your shoulder. Begrudgingly, his arms come up to envelope you, pulling you closer until the blanket scrunches up uncomfortably between you two. “That must’ve sounded so lame.”
Leaning back so you’re not completely squishing him, you carefully push his silvery hair away from his forehead. “Don’t be,” you assure him, placing one chaste peck against his pouty lips. “I thought it was cute. I didn’t know you were into astrology.”
A sigh. “Astronomy,” he corrects, “astrology has to do with zodiac signs and placements.”
You run your thumbs over his cheeks, collecting any of the drying tears that paint his face. “Oh, like how you’re a Virgo and I’m a“—
The TV remote you had lost somewhere along the way is suddenly rematerialized beneath your knee, sends the speakers blaring to life with a deafening screech that has both you and Jungkook leaping up like two frightened cats. “You always do this,” he laughs, that loud boyish sound that makes you feel like you’re sitting on a cloud. He watches you with a gentle smile as you hurriedly shut off the television, the remote haphazardly tossed somewhere behind you afterwards. You return to his embrace, wrap your arms around his waist and snuggle into his warmth. His heart thumps a steady rhythm beneath your ear.
“You’re gonna be stuck with me forever,” you warn him, clutching at the fabric of his shirt like he’ll suddenly disintegrate before your eyes.
Above you, Jungkook hums, placing a kiss against the crown of your head. “I look forward to it,” he responds, pulling you impossibly closer, until you can feel the wrinkles in his shirt imprinting themselves against your cheek. He’s back to being that suave bastard again, and you find yourself wishing you had milked those big crocodile tears out of him for just a little bit longer.
Fingers gently press against the muscles in your nape, push themselves in deeply until you can feel all the tension seeping out, turning you into a limbless blob over Jungkook. “Jeez,” you sigh, eyes fluttering shut. “And you wanted to wait until tomorrow.”
He huffs out a laugh. “I just thought you’d rather get engaged at a fancy restaurant with a pretty dress,” he defends, and you can hear the grin on his face. “For the photos.”
“Fair point,” you concede, eventually pushing yourself up so you’re not entirely squishing your boyfriend beneath you. Jungkook is already looking at you when you lift your head, has got this funny double-chin from this angle that makes his normally sharp jawline disappear. You find yourself tapping a finger against his chin, on the chocolate chip mole that hides itself beneath his plump bottom lip. “If anything, just propose to me again tomorrow at the restaurant.”
It wins you an eye-roll. “I’m not gonna propose to you again tomorrow,” he laughs, doesn’t even push you away when you become annoying and start tapping your fingers against all his beauty marks like you’re playing Whack-a-Mole.
“Booo,” you frown, but let it go soon enough, foregoing your little game to press your lips against his. “Then I better make this a night to remember,” you murmur, tilting your head to the side.
Your hands dip into his luscious locks, fingernails tracing thin lines along his scalp that are certain to send tingles down his spine. As predicted, Jungkook releases a quiet groan soon after, a sound that’s muffled against your own lips. He’s pliant tonight, but not in a way that would elude fatigue. Pliant in a way that suggests he wants you to take the reins tonight, exhaling softly against you as he parts his lips.
“Let me take care of you,” you hum, the hand that had been mindlessly hovering along his cheek drifting down to caress the side of his neck. Jungkook nods, his irises swimming in lust. You smile at his silent compliance, give his throat a light squeeze that makes his breathing hitch in surprise.
He’s always at his prettiest when he’s beneath you like this, limbs moving in slow motion as you guide him along. You can already feel the beginnings of his arousal stirring beneath the front of his sweats, his cock slowly making its presence known against your thigh. You press your lips against his once more, making sure to make it rougher than the first kiss. Your tongue is met with little resistance, slips past his lips and dips into the hot cave of his mouth where Jungkook releases another trembling breath.
Two hands come up behind you, trail themselves over your back and down to your ass, where he gives the two globes a tight squeeze. It draws a whimper out of you, one that Jungkook greedily swallows up. His tongue rubs up along yours, the wet muscle daringly pushing back against yours. His rebelliousness is only quelled with another press of your fingertips around his throat.
“Slow down,” you tell him. The first roll of your hips against him is slow, cruel in that you cut the motion short just as Jungkook begins to push back. A bratty huff escapes him, swollen pink lips pushing out into that endearing pout you love so much. It makes you grin, releasing the grip around his throat to carefully brush a stray strand of hair away from his eyes.
It’s a gesture that works to soften Jungkook as well, the petulant look on his face melting away as you trail your pointer finger along his cheekbone. It’s replaced with a more tender one, dark lashes blinking up at you slowly. “Open,” you command upon reaching his mouth, finger pressing down against his pink lower lip. Jungkook obeys, opening his mouth until you can see his pink tongue and the dark abyss that leads down his throat. Your finger pushes itself in, and Jungkook certainly doesn’t try to resist. His lips suction around the digit fairly quickly, tight enough to keep you there but loose enough for you to slowly draw your finger in and out, each short plunge pressing down against his tongue.
It’s a rather short affair, one that comes to an end when he accidentally bucks up against you, pressing his hardened member against your core. You retract your finger. “Can you,” he tries, but his cheeks are stained red and he refuses to meet your gaze. “Just…”
You intercept him with a chaste peck, maneuvering your legs until your knees are firmly pressed into the couch cushions beneath him, his thin waist trapped in between. When you sit up, you feel drunk on power and the way Jungkook looks up at you certainly doesn’t help. “Can I sit on your face?”
He chokes. “I— sure, please,” he blurts out. His gaze follows you as you slip off of him, quickly discarding your pants and top on the floor. One pat against his thigh has him hurrying to shimmy out of his clothes, his sweatpants caught around his ankles.
“You’re excited,” you laugh, stripping him of his bottoms when the frustration takes him over.
Jungkook scoffs. “Well, yeah,” he mumbles, tugging his shirt off with one smooth motion. The ink around his bicep is as dark as ever, contrasts wonderfully against his warm face. “My fiancée is gonna sit on my face.”
The title makes you preen, quickly finding your place on his lap once more. With your clothing out of the way, Jungkook really does become a furnace. Every inch of his body is hot to the touch, soft too. “Fiancée,” you giggle, hands on his chest. They slide down, fingers playfully nudging his brown nipples. Jungkook flinches at the touch. “Gonna sit on my fiancé’s face,” you parrot back, delicately pinching one nipple between your fingers. A moan spills from his lips, his cock pushing against your thigh once more.
It’s the reminder you need, pushing back dutifully against him as you continue to toy with his chest. He’d look pretty with piercings, you find yourself thinking, watching on in fascination at the way his pert nipples stand at attention. Beneath you, Jungkook begins to grow desperate, his hands finding their place on your waist to encourage you to grind down against him once more.
Jungkook swears up and down that he’s not particularly sensitive about having his nipples touched. But when you’ve got him like this, sinfully laid out before you, you can easily confirm that his claims are nothing but lies. He loves having his nipples touched, squirms beneath you impatiently with each playful tug and twist you bestow upon them.
You duck down, pressing a kiss against his pectoral, just beside his nipple, and Jungkook’s entire body shivers. A few careful drags of your tongue against his warm skin only serve to string him along further, the prettiest whimper pulling itself from his lips when you finally envelope one of them in your mouth. “Wait,” he gasps, clawing at your clothing as if he both wants to push you off and push you closer. You grin, brandishing one mean nip at the sensitive nub.
Eventually, your incessant need to play with Jungkook’s chest is fulfilled. “Lay back,” you instruct, watching as he shuffles down flat on the cushions, silver hair tumbling away from his eyes. He’s so red, eyes hazy. Your panties are discarded, joining the ever growing pile of clothes on the floor.
Once upon a time, the idea of sitting on Jungkook’s face had terrified you, filled you with nightmares of crushing his windpipe or breaking his nose. For the most part, they’re pretty unrealistic fears, ones that can be easily shut down after one careful Google search on safe sexual practices. These days, it’s all too easy; in the mornings, especially, it’s become natural for him to guide you on top carefully, holding your hand as you whimper and sob over his face.
In the current moment, you find yourself stroking a hand down the side of his face, completely enamored with the huge puppy eyes he levels your way. Jungkook likes having your pussy in his face just as much as you do, loves making you feel good in any way he knows how. But there’s a separate matter at hand, one that stands at attention beneath his black boxers and successfully wins your attention.
Truthfully, there is no dilemma to ponder over; you want both to ride Jungkook’s face and suck him off. The solution?
“We’ve never done this before,” Jungkook mumbles in amazement, his voice slightly muffled from his position beneath you and slightly behind you. Still, his arms dutifully wrap around your thighs, guiding you closer to his mouth where his hot breath fans against your glistening folds. You rock back willingly, hands preoccupied with pushing his boxers down and away from his engorged cock.
“Really?” you ask, suddenly feeling overwhelmed with the cock before you and the tongue that gently laps at your folds. Jungkook makes a sound, something between a hum and whimper, his mouth slowly getting to work against your folds. “M- Maybe,” you stutter, all thought processes coming to a halt as you carefully take him in your hand.
His cock is hard and long, his tip an angry shade that weeps with precum. From this angle, you get to watch Jungkook’s huge thighs twitch at the sensation, the tattoo that marks up one of them doing little to hide the fact. Your hand squeezes him, watches in awe as another fat droplet oozes out of his tip. A moan tears itself from his throat, and it’s so goddamn sexy it nearly drives you insane.
It’s one particularly long lap of his tongue over your clit that sends you into action, back arching at the tingles that shoot down your spine. Wasting no more time, you guide Jungkook’s cock into your mouth, let your own tongue shower his mushroom tip in kitten licks that have him bucking upwards. He releases your clit with a lewd pop, hot breath fanning across your lips. “Fuck,” he gasps, voice harsh.
Admittedly, it’s more difficult than you thought it would be.
You’re not one to be easily overwhelmed (says you), but with Jungkook’s twitching cock in your mouth and his teasing tongue dipping into your entrance, it becomes hard to juggle your attention between the two. Even Jungkook, who is quite frankly the master of cunnilingus, seems torn between the two, his breathing shallow and quick against your folds.
With each slow descent around his cock, he shudders, thigh muscles tightening in anticipation. It causes a lull in the pace of his tongue, the generous kisses and licks against your folds subject to a somewhat uneven pace that, surprisingly, leaves you more on edge than you’d ever expected it to; right when you think he’s about to suck your clit into his mouth, you’re met with a harsh exhale instead, one that makes your lips flutter.
You’re both disappointed in yourselves for never having tried this mind-blowing position before, and equal parts understanding as to why you haven’t tried this position before— it’s a lot. His cock is halfway down your throat when it twitches, sends a gush of precum into your mouth that has your eyes rolling backwards, a whine slipping out around him. Jungkook appreciates the vibrations, letting it fuel him as he plunges his tongue into your hole. It’s a two way street, you realize, one that is constantly experiencing traffic.
“Baby,” you gasp, pulling off of his cock with a slick sound, hypnotized by the trail of saliva that connects your lips to his tip. Jungkook’s tongue prods along your slit, makes your eyesight go blurry when the tip of his nose brushes along you as well. The idea of his cute nose buried deep someplace it shouldn’t be has you grinding down on him. “We can— we should stop,” you stutter, your trembling hand reaching forward to grasp the base of his cock.
He’s slick with your saliva and his precum, and your hand makes a squelching sound upon contact. It must feel good, because Jungkook moans against your folds, his thighs unconsciously falling farther apart as you slowly jerk him off. You think you might’ve heard your name slip from his lips, but your mind is fuzzy, lost in your lust as Jungkook licks a sinful line from your hole to your clit, curling his tongue at the end. “J- Jungkook,” you cry, flinching away because it’s become too much, your toes curling as the beginnings of an orgasm threaten you.
Before that can happen, he relents, leaning back with a heavy exhale, his hands loosening their grip against your ass and plopping back down against the cushions. “Fuck,” he pants, his cock twitching in your hold. A lonely droplet of precum trails down the side, your knuckles coated in the glossy substance. Beneath you, Jungkook rubs one soothing palm against your hip.
You slink off before he can get any funny ideas, maneuver yourself around until you’re kneeling between his parted thighs, his fat cock standing at attention between the two of you. From here, he looks ravenous, and you begin to question who exactly is taking care of who. Jungkook looks like he’s a second away from pinning you down and swallowing you whole, a thought that makes your toes curl.
It’s with a cautiously horny hand that you reach for his cock again, holding him with both hands. Jungkook growls, head lolling backwards until all you can see is his neck and his chin, thick veins protruding along his skin. Jungkook doesn’t waste a moment longer. “C’mere,” he purrs, hauling you up until you’re clumsily leaning over him, palms framing his face. A lone finger runs down your spine, its faint touch making you arch forward. “Sorry,” he says, securing an arm around your waist. “I know you wanted to take care of me, but…”
You roll your eyes, submitting yourself to his clutches as he masterfully rolls the two of you over. The couch is soft beneath your back, and Jungkook looks pretty from above too. “You just can’t sit still, can you?” you murmur playfully.
Jungkook’s forearms find their place beneath your thighs, the fold of the back of your knee perfectly slotted against his warm skin as he shuffles closer. “Maybe another time,” he laughs along sheepishly, his hard cock gliding over your slit, teasing your clit. You gulp, eyes scanning over his lean build as if it’s the first time. “Sorry,” he repeats, but he’s got this stupidly dopey grin on his face as he glances down at your pussy; he’s insane, he’s got to be, what man makes heart eyes at a pussy?
Your man, apparently. Grasping the base of his cock, Jungkook takes care to drag it along your folds collecting your wetness along his length, a deep shudder wracking his body through it all. “I knew you would do this to me,” he mutters, so low you nearly miss it under the thundering sound of your heartbeat.
“Huh,” you mumble, and you’d like to defend yourself and say you weren’t as cock-crazy as Jungkook was coochie-crazy, but that would be a lie. You’re staring at his cock as if it holds the secrets to the universe right now.
Jungkook juts his head to the side, a motion similar to the one he does when he’s trying to crack his neck. His tongue prods along his cheek, eyes laser-focused on the point where your two bodies meet. “From the moment you walked into my house,” he grunts mindlessly, finally lining himself up with your entrance. He chances a glance up, meets your gaze with a patient look, “all good?”
“All good,” you hurriedly reply, fingers finding their place against his broad shoulders. With the way he had prepared you earlier, mouthed along your clit and your folds until you were pleasantly aroused, the glide now is too easy. Tight, but easy, has the two of you releasing twin moans that echo off the wooden walls of the cabin.
Jungkook’s forehead is covered in a thin veil of sweat, one that glistens when the evening sunset pours in through the balcony doors, highlighting him in a golden light that makes you dizzy. The angry tip of his cock sinks into your walls, Jungkook’s ashy strands sticking to his forehead and his cheeks. For some reason, you find yourself reminiscing on the aforementioned moment Jungkook had spoken of. Of the soft sweater he’d worn that day and the dinner he had made, the blond tips on his chestnut hair and the way he’d clung onto every word you’d said.
It makes you tear up, and, after laughing at Jungkook early for crying, you quickly turn your face away.
Jungkook isn’t dumb. “What now,” he chuckles, though his breathing is labored, every inch of his cock that penetrates you further bringing with it another rush of adrenaline. At the hilt, you’re embarrassed to say there’s multiple tears streaming down your face, so you can’t even play it off as you usually do. “Crybaby,” Jungkook teases, but his voice is so soft and tender you don’t know what to do with yourself.
“Just move,” you bite out, shamefully covering your face with your hands. Jungkook leans over you, the movement pushing his dick deeper inside of you, your walls clenching around him. A kiss is placed over your knuckles, just shy of your engagement ring. Your chest lurches with a silent sob. “Jungkook,” you whimper, sinking further into the cushion, “please, just—“
“I got it,” he assures you, placing one final peck against your handmade (literally) shield. And then, so quietly you almost miss it, he makes sure to whisper, “love you,” before unsheathing himself.
You shudder, your heart feeling so full, you fear it’ll burst. You both love and hate when he treats you like this, like an ice sculpture in the scorching heat that has him doing everything he can to keep you solid. His touch is soft, the roll of his hips too slow for your liking. You feel so small and vulnerable— too pampered. “Harder,” you beg, your voice an airy whine that has Jungkook chuckling above you.
He lives to please you, hiking your leg over his shoulder with a renewed vigor. His hands find themselves on your waist, forcefully pinning you down against the couch cushions as he sets upon fulfilling your latest request. The next series of thrusts are jerky, have you jostling in his grip as Jungkook pounds into you with an all new mindset. “Lemme see you,” he huffs, thumbs painfully digging into your skin. You tremble in his arms, heart swayed by the quiet plea in his voice. “Let me see your face, pretty girl.”
Reluctantly, you do, brandishing your tear-stricken face his way. Jungkook smiles, that stupidly handsome smile, his hips snapping into you roughly. “Fuck,” he moans, the expression never leaving his face, even when run your nails over his chest harshly. “You’re so pretty.”
You ignore him for the sake of your already weakened mental state, focusing instead on the brutal force of his hips, the way his cock stretches your walls out. Each push has you seeing stars, thighs quivering from the sensations that shoot up your spine and down your toes. “Oh,” you mewl, hands gripping his biceps as you lose yourself to him. Your eyes roll back, vision a mess of colors and nothingness all at once.
“Is this hard enough?” Jungkook husks out, and he sounds so close. His proximity is confirmed when his mouth slots against yours, his harsh breath mingling with your own as he continues to frantically buck into your inviting heat, each new round of thrusts leaving you weaker and weaker than before. “God,” Jungkook cries, the sound nearly lost beneath your own moans and whimpers. “Gonna k- keep you forever,” he spits, tongue slipping into your mouth.
He’s messier than usual, moves with unrefined movements unlike his normal self. You don’t care, you love him all the same. His sloppy kisses turn into desperate ones, matching the pace of his hips. “Kook,” you sob, arms wrapping themselves around his neck, pulling him close until his thrusts are reduced to a shallower depth.
“I’ve got you,” he croons, lips against your jawline. His cock presses in and you swear you feel it alongside every inch of your walls, a warmth blossoming in your stomach. He’s layering messy kisses down your face now, lips sucking dark marks any chance he gets.
True to his word, Jungkook indeed has you. His cock pistons in and out at an astonishing pace, each surge into your folds making you dizzy over and over again. It’s a feeling you fear you’ll never grow tired of, in fact, it’s a feeling you fear you’ll begin to crave even more in the future. The good thing is, that future will extend into forever.
You yank him towards you, swallow his low laughter with your lips. Jungkook doesn’t complain, lowering himself until he’s practically squishing you beneath his beefy body, cock ramming in and out despite all that. His tongue glides along yours, makes it his mission to muffle each of your cries.
It doesn’t take long for you to be fulfilled. Given the fact you had sucked him off like a lollipop whilst having him eat you out, you’re not entirely surprised. That and the emotions of tonight have you melting into him sooner than you’d like, his name falling from your lips as your thighs clamp down around his waist. Jungkook takes it in stride, slows the maddening pace of his hips to cradle you in his arms. You’re like jelly, practically flop back into the cushion when he slips an arm beneath you. “You’re so good for me,” Jungkook praises, lavishing your throat in tiny pecks as his orgasm circles around. “My pretty girl.”
“Love you,” you sigh, and your body feels numb, his intrusion but a small touch now that he’s tired you out once more, your walls tender and raw. Jungkook presses a smile against your throat and, moments later, releases inside of you.
Even minutes after the deed, the feeling refuses to return to your legs. He didn’t go that hard— well, you’re not entirely sure. The memories always become blurry toward the end of your escapades. Everything rushes back in waves, and for some reason, your first thought is, “where’s Sailor Moon?”
Your post-rump conversations have never been the most coherent, usually filled with pretty weird thoughts and ideas. Still, more grand things have happened tonight for you to be worried about a magical anime girl. Jungkook draws himself out of your core with a huff of laughter. “On the TV,” he answers, unfazed by the oddity of your question.
That’s how you know he’s a keeper.
It takes a while, but eventually Jungkook responds. “Avocado toast,” he says, though his answer is dripping with uncertainty. He’s naked as the day he was born, snuggled up beside you in bed. He’s propped up on one arm, looking down at you over the ample swell of his manly bosom. It takes everything in you to keep your hands off his chest.
“Correct,” you respond, “and what movie did we watch?”
Without missing a beat, “Transformers, the first one.”
You nod, glancing at the ceiling as you rack your brain for any other trivia questions to ask your fiancé. “The title of the playlist you made?”
A flush paints his cheeks. “Date Night playlist,” he answers through a pout, reprimanding you for bringing up such a memory with a flick to your forehead. You wince. “I was young and silly,” he defends.
You beam, cuddling into his side until he’s forced to lay back down. “Yeah, yeah,” you tease. “We’re only gonna get older from here,” you lament. You’d say it’s difficult to picture him with a gray head of hair, but his current silvery locks don’t leave much room for your imagination.
Jungkook pulls you close. A beat of silence passes, and then, “so who are we telling first?”
Definitely Namjoon.

Shelby!Sister getting poisoned whilst at dinner with the whole family?
changed it up a bit; reader is roofied at one of Tommy’s fancy ball type parties and there’s one particular gentleman around to help her out.
Good Team
Tommy had, since you were merely a little girl, endeavoured to introduce you emphatically as (y/n) Shelby, with your surname stated soaked in ferocity and warning. You are a Shelby. You are his little sister. He makes sure people know this. He makes sure they’re aware. He sees it as a pre-warning, the kind that lets them know that you are very very important to him without actually saying those words. He sees it very much as a pre-warning for grievous bodily harm had any trouble befell you at another persons discretion. It was made incredibly clear from the moment you were born that you were so far from off limits to the enemies that it didn’t even need to be spoken.
However, it was a relatively occasional occurrence that this message was not accurately conveyed no matter how clear your elder brother was about the matter.
You were usually so cautious and so careful, but you were in your brothers own ballroom with his own supplied champagne and you had very few worries of such a simple business gathering for Christmas. You were adorning an extortionate dress that Tommy had made for you with a beautiful fur shoulder wrap, cheeks dusted with a champagne blush and a gorgeous smile as you mingle with rich business people and rich couples who were born into money. They were amazing at times to ogle at, coming from such a poor background. It was hard enough to adjust to your new life flaunting pretty dressed and walking around with a purpose and a job that had significant purpose.
But it would be safe to say you weren’t so worried around these people. You should’ve known better.
You keep blinking, squeezing your eyes shut to try and find vision again that wasn’t restricted by blurriness. The heels on your feet didn’t aid you much in the way of keeping your balance as you stumble into a long hall. You don’t remember where you last saw Tommy and you can’t remember where the glass you were holding had gone. You don’t know much, but you know you have to find one of your brothers.
Heavy footsteps behind you send a rush of hazed adrenaline through your veins, forcing your legs to move you faster, your arms scratching off paintings lining the walls as you attempt to use the wall as a stabiliser.
“Someone’s ‘ad a bit much, eh?”
Your eyelids flicker as you try to keep them open against the light that makes you feel like your head is exploding. “No, no I- there’s someone trying to get me!” You hiss in a slurred whisper with arms that flail somewhat aimlessly as you attempt to point out the person behind you. The man with his his on your biceps steadying you leans around to get a good look behind you. “Mhm, there me no one there love.” He says, confused. You can only vaguely make out who the person is that holds you up and it’s someone you know your brother only invited so as to attempt to talk him into taking on more Blinders for distillery protection.
Alfie Solomons wasn’t entirely the most trustworthy person that surrounded your family. Him and Tommy had a bit of a tendency to betray each other, no matter how expected it always was. The London gangster probably wasn’t the best person for you to bump into and definitely not the most reliable, but he was who you had ended up with and although it could have been him that drugged you, it didn’t seem incredibly likely. He told Tommy and Grace when greeting people at the front door; “No need for the fucking niceties eh Tommy? I’m here for the free booze mate yeah?” and walked on through with a pat on your brothers back.
Despite the fact you didn’t have much trust in him, you really holed that he wouldn’t pass you off as being overly drunk and leave you alone. You feel dreadfully unwell. Alfie looks down the hall, then back at you and with a sigh, he slips his strong arm around your waist and pulls you into his side for your stability. “I think you’re right, Shelby.” Alfie mutters under his breath, barely loud enough for even you to hear. “Something‘s just not right.” He turns to you, using his arm that wasn’t wrapped around you to lift up your eyelid. Beyond the terror in your eyes in huge pupils. “You’ve been drugged,” he states, his voice still low. “Better find those brothers of yours.”
That brings you some form of relief, but the terror still remains. It’s a scary situation, to know what you want to do with your limbs and know exactly what you want to say, but to be unable to speak or walk or even hold up your head. Your heart hadn’t stopped racing and you were drenched in sweat. It’s a shock you didn’t recognise you had been drugged before hearing Alfie say it.
His arm is tight around the waistline of your expensive ballgown, keeping you steady against him as he walked as quickly as he could manage while supporting your weight. He only vaguely knew the way around Tommy’s huge country house, but he did know where the man’s office was, and he’d likely have a maid in waiting there who Alfie could send to fetch him once he got you there. As you both rounded the corner into the corridor that would take you to Tommy’s office, there a man dressed like a waiter standing seemingly waiting for you. “Mister Shelby sent me to collect his sister when he heard she was overly inebriated.” The man spoke. Alfie furrowed his eyebrows tightly, but nodded and walked you closer to him. You want to protest, but your mind still won’t coordinate with your body and the most you can do is grumble. “She’s a bit hard to deal with,” Alfie admits, “So a tip you should really know for the future?“ He pauses, moving as though he’s going to pass you over to the arms of the other man. Alfie leans in until he’s only a few inches away and whispers a warning “I fucking hate liars,” before sharply drawing back his head only to but it forward forcefully into the man’s face.
He stumbles back and Alfie takes that opportunity to grab the front of his suit jacket and throw him behind the two of you with a kick to his ribs a few times for good measure. He wraps his arm back around your waist and continues on down the hall as if nothing had ever happened. “Could tell by his-fuck!”
A yelp leaves you as your legs tangled when you attempt to bare your own weight and instead clatter to the floor with a thud. Alfie grunts and you fight to open your heavy eyelids to see that a man had dove out at him from a doorway along the long hall and there were now two of them and two of you, except they were both conscious and had full control of their own bodies, whereas it fell upon Alfie to fight for both of you. The Londoner truly does not know why he has put himself in this situation for anyone, never mind for a Shelby he had only met a handful of times. But every time he had met you, you were incredibly sweet and kind to him. He knows that they’ll stop attacking him if he allows them to take you and do as they please with you, but something in him prevents him from doing that. There’s a part of him that encourages him to spit the blood from his mouth and stand in front of where you lay in and out of consciousness on the fell, ready to fight for you like he had something to lose if he couldn’t protect you. Tommy would never know Alfie was there with you if he walked away now, but something in him wants to be there. Wants to fight for you.
And so fight he does, throwing punch after punch, trying to take on two at once. Alfie managed to take the blonde assailant out of the game by cracking the wall with his blonde head of hair, leaving him out cold and potentially dying on the floor. When he does that though, his moment of glory is short lived before the other appears behind him with an arm tightly around his throat. Alfie squirms and grunts, kicks and scratches attempting to get him off, but the attacker holds on despite the blows. Alfie thinks he may well have to accept his fate.
Then he clocks you again on the floor, except this time your hands and trailing up your leg, hiking up your dress and he is utterly confused at your behaviour, thinking that it must be the drugs acting weird in your system. That is, until your dress reaches your upper thigh and the London gangster feels what he thinks may be butterflies when he spots the holster and gun that had been well hidden by your long ballgown. He would laugh, grin even if he wasn’t being strangled nearly to death. He watched with blurry vision as you try to steady your hands enough to point the gun at the attacker that was too bury trying to hold Alfie Solomons down to notice your movements. Alfie squeezes his eyes shut as you move your finger over the trigger and he hopes to God your heads are steady enough to shoot the right person.
The bang goes off and very suddenly he can breathe again. He notes that’s a good sign. He scrambles away quickly, turning around to press his foot onto the bullet wound in the shoulder of his attacker. “I will come back for you.” He growls in warning, pressing his foot harder to elicit a scream before he nods and turns back to where you stand. He wipes the blood off the bottom of his shoe on the carpet before he steps forward to swoop your gun off the floor to slip it back into your thigh holster, and then he helps you back up. Except this time, he opts to sweep you off your feet and into his arms bridal style.
“Good shot.” He notes. You breath a chuckle with hooded eyes in response, but can’t manage anything else. If you hadn’t been severely drugged, Alfie might’ve kissed you.
He makes it to Tommy’s office with ease, ordering the maid to get your brother immediately. Alfie lays you down on the soft couch in the office, placing you carefully on on your side for safety in case you’re sick. He uses the not blood tinted side of his handkerchief to wire some blood splatter and sweat from your face gently, and offers a gentle smile. “We make a good team, Solomons.” You hum with words slurred and jumped, but he understand what you said nonetheless. “That we do, Shelby.” He rumbles back in response.
The moment is as any moment of yours often is, interrupted by your elder brothers storming in. Immediately, Alfie is ripped from your side by Arthur slamming the him roughly against the wall with a loud clatter and bang. John goes to stand by Arthur’s side, and Tommy takes a knee beside you. The patriarch places his cool hand against your forehead before dipping down to place his ear just above your lips. “She’s breathing.” He concludes, “What the fuck did you do to her?” He sneers through gritted teeth as he takes steps towards Alfie.
“And why the fuck and you covered in blood.” Alfie sighs heavily, rolling his eyes and flaring his nostrils at the proximity of the three Shelby brothers. “Funny story, you see Tommy.” He grumbles discontentedly, “Seems as though someone tried after your sister right under your fucking nose, mate. Drugged her drink, removed her from the crowd. I found her wandering the halls all fuckin’ disoriented yeah. Now I don’t like a man who targets a woman, much less has to fuckin’ drug her to achieve it.” Alfie shrugs. Tommy narrows his eyes, but something in him believes what the Camden Town Gangster is saying. Alfie doesn’t have much in the way of necessity for taking you and it wouldn’t make sense for him to have the opportunity to but instead to bring you here. Right to them. “Doesn’t explain the fucking blood.” Arthur hisses, slamming his back against the wall again.
Alfie holds up his hands. “You’re little sister isn’t such a damsel as you make her out to be, Thomas. She has a fantastic shot. Some cunts-“ Alfie’s words drop with pure venom as the reminder of the man nearly strangling him to death reenters his mind, “Came after her. On that note, you’ll need a carpet cleaner and some body bags just along that hall. Don’t let the missus see that mess.”
Tommy paused for a moment, his eyes not leaving Alfie’s even when he speaks. “John, check that corridor.” He orders, making his younger brother grunt in annoyance but do as told nonetheless. “Arthur,” He grumbles, placing a hand on his shoulder, “Take our sister upstairs and get Polly.” Arthur is hesitant. Tommy might believe the words that Alfie speaks, but Arthur despises him and the only thing he hates more than Alfie is the thought of Alfie’s hands on you without any of them being there to help you, protect you. He knows that he and a Tommy are asking themselves the same question. How could something like this happen to you right beneath their noses. How had someone managed to get to when they were so close, literally right in the same room in an event organised by them. Arthur couldn’t answer the question, but could probably have killed Alfie in his rage at that moment. “Arthur,” Tommy repeats more firmly, “Go.”
This time, he listens. But that’s not without a warning glare at Alfie, who simply offers a smirk in response. “And you,” Tommy says finally, turning his attention to Alfie, “Fuck off.”
Alfie chuckles, but begins to walk past Tommy to leave the office when the smaller man grabs his arm in a vice like grip that makes the tips of his fingers tingle with the strength of it. Alfie feigns the urge to fight back in reaction to the pain. Tommy leans in close to his ear with a low snarl, “You don’t just help people. I don’t care what the reason was eh, but don’t you ever go near my sister again.”
Then he lets go and Alfie simply shakes off his arm and walks away. He hasn’t listened to Tommy Shelby any time in the past, and it appears as though today will be no different.

Straw Hats With A Young! Shipmate Who They Protect
A/N : to that one anon who sent an ask about this— I sincerely apologize again and thank you for being so understanding and sweet. 🥺💞 (´ε` )♡
Summary : their precious baby of the family is out shopping with the crew when their special shipmate is suddenly insulted.
note : reader is like 15-16? because I think chopper is like 17. and yes, that age is where I guess kids are more mature, but in this, reader is super innocent and soft because the crew is always protecting them. ( even though reader still fights like a badass lol ) oh and GN! I’m pretty sure but it might be hints of a female reader. And Idk if this is the regular op universe or modern au?
-
“How about this, [Nickname]? I think it’ll look super cute on you!”
Turning towards the navigator, she holds up a silver skull and crossbones necklace in the air and you awe.
“Oh, it looks really pretty!” Your eyes lighting up at the rather unique and interesting design of the jewelry causes Nami to grin.
“Here, let me put it on for you.”
Nami spins you around before wrapping the jewelry around your neck carefully, clasping the lock together so it wouldn’t fall.
When she was done, you look into a hand mirror and smile. “It looks amazing, thanks Nami!”
She then grabs you by the shoulders and twirls you to face the group. “What do you think guys?”
Each of the straw hats share smiles at the sight of their little young member.
“Shishishi~ it looks so cool [Nickname]!”
“Look’s great, kiddo.”
“It looks very beautiful, [Name]-chan!”
“You look amazing, [Name]!”
“It looks nice, skull and bones!!”
“WOWZA! Lookin’ awesome, kid!”
“You look very wonderful, [Name].”
“Yohohoho~! Truly stunning!”
Your heart swells at the vast amount of compliments you received from the crew and the smile across your face widens with warmth. “Thank you, everyone!”
Although you insisted that you didn’t want to go shopping, since you didn’t want to spend their money, despite the crew’s adamancy to take you, you actually were enjoying yourself with them.
“Well, I think we’ve checked out this store enough, so why don’t we go and look for another one?” Nami hums and begins leading you to the register.
She pats your head and smiles widely. “Just keep it on, I’ll pay for it and we can go.”
“Sure, thank you, Nami.” Your sweet, warming smile causes the navigator to gush internally and just send back her own sweet smile. “Don’t mention it!”
“Let’s get some food, [Name]!” Luffy shouts, taking your hand and pulling you out the store.
“W-wait, but I-“
“Luffy, you better be careful with [Name]!” Zoro warns and Usopp runs after his captain. “Luffy, wait!”
Sanji scowls at his reckless captain while Robin and Brook chuckles. “Certainly like our captain to do so.”
The others kept the eye on Luffy, waiting for Nami before making their way towards their adventurous captain, only to see him alone.
“Huh? Where’s [Name], Luffy?”
The question causes Luffy to blink and look around blankly. “Hm? Oh, where did [Name] go?”
All eyes gaze onto their captain as they scowl, a few glaring at the stupid straw hat and his sheepish smile. “LUFFY!”
Nami is quick to wrapping her hands around the rubber boy’s neck, strangling him as the victim let out choked noises.
“Luffy, I swear, if our [Name] gets lost or worse, hurt, I will forever kill you and haunt you even after I die, and I am going to—“
“B-Ba-ath..-roo-om—“ Recalling his memory, Luffy weakly and struggles to get out a single word.
“Nami, she’s right over there.” Robin gestures to the bathroom afar and Nami quickly releases her hold on her captain, exhaling heavily in relief. “Oh, thank god!”
“[Name]!—“
The scene before them causes them to shut in silence and stare over at you, stunned.
There you were, walking out the bathroom with your phone in hand and a soft smile gracing your face.
However, as you were walking out, you took a quick glance at your mobile to see the time, when someone rudely shoved into you.
You fall to the ground with a thud, groaning softly before looking up. “A-Ah, I’m sorry, I wasn’t looking where I was—“
“Oi, stupid brat, you nearly got my new clothes dirty.” The old man scowls, glowering down at you condescendingly, making you panic slightly.
“Oh, I’m really sorry, it’s my fault, please forgive me! I-“
“Yeah, yeah, whatever.” He mutters, cursing under his breath. “Stupid kids these days.. just watch where you’re going next time.”
He takes one last glance at you and scrunches his nose. “And get rid of that creepy necklace.”
Your eyes are casted down at the insult thrown at the new necklace Nami had bought for you and you glance down at your cracked phone that occurred from the fall. “Uh, okay-“
“Hey.”
The sudden voice causes you to look up and the rude man in front of you turn around, both of you being met with the straw hats lined up, all sending heavy glares to the man.
A few had their arms crossed, others readying their weapons/abilities but they shared the harsh glowers, that even sent you shivers, even if it wasn’t for you.
“What the hell do you all want?” The old man clicks his tongue, just slightly intimidated at the large group.
Their eyes darken and the heavy, intimidating aura of theirs just grows.
“You have three seconds.” Zoro’s voice rings in the air, his deep voice intimidating those around as he speaks in a low, calm manner.
“To apologize,” Sanji continues after, his one eye exposed, only sharpening his glare as he bring a cigarette to his lips.
“For hurting [Name]’s feelings.” Chopper menacingly growls, currently in Kung fu point.
“And for insulting their beautiful necklace.” Brook’s eye sockets are narrowed, his hand gripping his cane with his sword slowly unsheathing.
The rest kept silent as they continue to hold never ending, piercing glares to the old man, who you noticed was starting to sweat buckets.
“3,”
The old man backs up, “Now h-hold on, they bumped into me!-“
“2,”
“They should be in trouble!” The man shakily points towards you, still on the ground.
It was silent for a mere second before Luffy secured his hat on his head. “1.”
“Alright, alright!” The man drops to his knees, facing you with his head to the ground. “P-please forgive me, I’m terribly sorry.” He breathes out with a panicked voice.
You just blink, staring at the man completely lost before nodding. “R-right, it’s alright..”
Quickly scrambling off the ground, he turns to the crew, hyperventilating. “There! Now don’t hurt me!” He cries out as he runs off, nearly tripping over his feet as he did so.
The strawhats continue to stare at the man running off, Luffy slowly chuckling before turning over to you.
“[Name]! Are you hurt anywhere at all?” Robin’s motherly tone was coming out as she walks over towards you, extending her hand out.
You shake your head and took your hand in hers. “I’m fine, thanks everyone.., but..”
You slowly stand up and picked up your phone, frowning softly as you held it up. “I’m sorry, but I accidentally cracked it when I fell..”
Nami widens her eyes at the sight before her fists clenched. “That man.. I’ll find him and murder him, right after I rob him of his valuables.” She curses and Usopp shoves her away.
“Relax, will you?! It’s alright, we’ll fix it.” Usopp exhales before smiling gently at you and takes your phone with your permission. “Don’t worry about it.”
You nod lightly and smile at him. “Okay.”
Chopper returns to his normal form and smiles widely up at you, jumping to get your attention a bit. “And don’t listen to him, [Nickname]! Your necklace is very cool and really pretty!” He assures, beaming at you and you chuckle.
“Yeah, it looks really great on you, [Name]-chan.” Sanji smiles and your smile just widens as they surround you.
“Thank you.” You say, almost repeatedly now and Nami engulfs you into a tight hug, gushing at how adorable you were.
All of them share smiles and Luffy’s cheery and contagious laughter fills the air.
“Shishishi~ You’re welcome, we’ll always be there for you, [Nickname]!”
Whatcha think anon? Thanks again for the ask and for being so sweet, even after my mistake!! <3

Duty and Responsibility
Pairing: Osamu x Reader
Genre/Warnings: NSFW, Historical AU, Arranged Marriage AU, Degradation, Dirty Talk, Lactation Kink
Summary: Love can form in surprising places, even in a marriage centered only around duty and responsibility.
You patiently wait beside Daichi, back straight, gaze downcast and demure, the picture perfect example of a soon to be bride. Only if someone watched with hawk eyes, purposefully looking for flaws in your facade, would they notice the way you stand just a tad too close to the head of the Karasuno clan, desperately trying to cling onto any comfort or courage you can.
There’s nothing to be afraid of. At least that’s what Daichi says. And you know he would never put you in harm’s way. You trust him with your life and more. After all, it’s he who’s practically single handedly raised you, saving you from guaranteed death as a street urchin, welcoming you and wholeheartedly accepting you as one of his own. He’s the older brother figure you never had. The one who showed you what family and belonging were.
So if he says that he trusts Kita, the head of Inarizaki, and vouches for Kita’s choice of a future husband for you. Of course you put your faith in his words. But it doesn’t stop the clawing nausea inside of you as you get ready to meet the stranger your life is now forever entwined with.
Inarizaki and Karasuno have never had much of a relationship before, good or bad. You know of the infamous fox clan, the tales of their notorious twins spreading far and wide. But they’ve always just been stories, pretty words that you couldn’t tie to a warm body.
Until now.
You’d be naive to not understand just how prominent Karasuno has become, no longer the laid back humble clan it once used to be. And as proud as you are of Daichi and how his tireless work and dedication have helped the crows fly high in the sky once again, you can’t help but feel a small regretful pang when you remember that carefree life you once had, when you were just a young woman dreaming about marrying for love and finding “the one”.
But that was just a silly girl’s dream. You know what your duty and responsibilities are and you don’t dare shirk away from them now. Not when Daichi has so deeply instilled those firm beliefs and foundations inside of you both through teaching and example. And it’s the fact that you know, with just a word, he’d completely cancel it, call everything off and risk ruining ties between the two clans, that has you gritting your teeth and standing firm, awaiting your future.
This isn’t how you had dreamed your happily ever after would be, but for Daichi, for Karasuno, for your new family? You’d gladly die as a pawn.
And a pawn you are, even if it is a glorified one.
You can still vividly remember the night Daichi had called you into his office, remember how nervous he was as his eyes looked anywhere other than at you, remember the pain he tried to hide in his voice as he proposed the idea to you. He used gentle words, meandering and rambling around the point, but the message was as clear as a knife in the gut.
Sacrifice yourself to solidify the union between Karasuno and Inarizaki.
An arranged marriage with no one other than Miya Osamu.
You remember how your heart had dropped at Daichi’s words, a sinking feeling churning inside of you only worsened by how regretfully brown eyes looked at you, a gnawing of his lips before he blurted out that you could say no even though both of you know it’s not really an option, certainly not the wiser option.
Possibly anger and break ties with one of the most powerful clans in the country over a mere woman?
You knew that an arranged marriage was always a strong possibility. But you had always imagined that it would be with someone you knew from the clans you’re closer with like Nekoma and Fukurodani. Maybe even Seijoh or Shiratorizawa. But Inarizaki? Miya Osamu?
A part of you is glad that at least it isn’t his wild blond twin, someone whose presence spreads like wildfire, loudly crackling and announcing itself, wreaking havoc in its wake. But if the stories are true, Osamu isn’t much better. More of a volcano than an out of control fire, but just as able to burst and explode if provoked enough.
So you’re surprised when you lay eyes on him for the first time as the fox clan enters the room, nothing seemingly fiery or volatile about the handsome man politely bowing in front of you. Instead you’re reminded of the moon and its quiet yet hardened radiance and although you don’t know a thing about your fiance, you think that maybe it’s not the worst scenario, especially as his brother’s voice loudly echoes throughout the chambers, already making a scene not even minutes into your two clans meeting.
Little do you know a silver haired man is thinking the same thing as he carefully scans you over.
Osamu has never thought much about marriage or what his future wife would be like. It’s always just been Atsumu, him, and all the trouble they constantly got themselves into. But as Daichi and Kita pass back and forth polite pleasantries, it’s beginning to feel all too real how planned out his future is. Yet looking at you, he can envision it, the picture perfect couple, a picture perfect house, a picture perfect family. It’s obvious that you’ve been raised well, not that he expects any less of someone Daichi himself has taught and raised from the ground up. And although he doesn’t have hopes that you’ll be the love of his life, for Kita, for Inarizaki, for his family, he can be the respectable husband and father they and you need him to be.
With duty and honor at the forefront of both your minds, you begin to court each other. It’s pleasant, like a well rehearsed performance, both your perfected mannerisms shining and waltzing around each other in perfect grammar, politically correct opinions, and graceful table manners. To any outside eye, the two of you are the epitome of prim and proper, a vision of what an upstanding couple should look like, nothing scandalous or eye catching as the two of you amble around, getting to know each other.
But that’s all it is, a superbly done play and both of you can feel the weight of the falseness heavy upon your shoulders as you keep your smile from unbecomingly stretching across your face, as Osamu bites back his usual snarky verbiage.
You’re grateful for the frequent interruptions from both your rowdy clan members, feeling the pressure lift off of you just a bit when Nishinoya comes racing across the field, not a hint of reservation as he excitedly rambles and shouts about the latest gossip he’s heard, when Tanaka comes storming over and manhandles the shorter man into leaving the two of you alone. And as aggravating as Atsumu can be, Osamu is secretly glad when the annoying blonde takes it upon himself to crash most of your outings together, allowing himself the brief leisure of resting his meticulously crafted mask as his twin yaps on and on unhindered to you.
But his gratitude for Atsumu only goes so far and despite how hard Osamu has tried to keep up appearances in front of you, it was only a matter of time before he lost his composure the more and more his more obnoxious counterpart loitered around the two of you, hogging all your attention to himself.
Osamu isn’t a jealous person, or so he had thought, but his moral compass has always skewed heavily whenever his twin is involved and he can feel his frustration and temper rise when Atsumu’s interruptions become more than a slight reprieve, capturing your attention, not even leaving scraps for Osamu to work with.
And maybe, just maybe, he can admit that he is jealous....jealous of how easy it is for Atsumu to always be himself no matter the situation, no matter who’s around, never a care or worry about what others think of him.
That feeling festers, slowly boiling, temperature rising, until it comes to a full throttle and Osamu can no longer bite back his typical scathing tone he uses with his brother, icy tone ordering the rambunctious man to leave the two of you the fuck alone.
“Last time I checked, ‘Sumu, you’re not the one getting married. So either go find someone who’ll be willing to put up with you or find another couple to third-wheel with.”
Of course that’s not the end of it because God forbid Atsumu grows up and lets Osamu have the last word for once and before he even realizes what’s happening, a body is crashing into his and they immediately begin growling and snarling at each other as they wrestle each other, throwing jabs and kicks, completely forgetting the bystander watching the two men in awe.
But when your roaring laughter fills the air, Osamu freezes, disbelief and curiosity curling inside of him as he turns to see if that uncouth hyena guffaw is truly coming from you, only to be amazed when he sees you practically bent in half, wheezing, face scrunched in giddy lines as you continue howling in amusement. And despite how “unseemly” your appearance is, he thinks you’re the most beautiful like this, something warm growing inside him when he basks in the essence of your pure joy for the first time.
Unfortunately it’s short lived and he hides the pout forming on his lips when you notice his eyes on you, murmuring apologies left and right as you abruptly resume your typical ladylike stance and countenance, no proof of the genuine beauty he had seen just seconds ago other than the embarrassed look on your face. And like an infection your shame spreads and he scrambles to his feet (slightly getting one last kick in and hiding a smile at Atsumu’s whine), quickly brushing himself off and deeply bowing and apologizing for his own childish behavior.
But as he plays the ever perfect gentleman, protectively strolling with you and guiding you back home, the cogs in his mind begin to turn, a determined glint entering his gaze.
You’re clearly not the prim and proper angel he had thought you were and obviously, you don’t mind his more...explosive side, if your mirth earlier as your fiance rolled around on the ground like a fool is anything to go by.
Forget prim, proper, and perfect. He wants to know more about who you really are hidden underneath the elegant layers you’ve been shielding yourself with, reveal his own true nature to you, marry your flaws and strengths together as you build a life even better than perfect, something visceral, something real, something more tangible than the whimsical dreams of fairy tale romances.
He takes the first step, his desire to break down your barriers giving him the confidence he needs to be more vulnerable. But even then, there’s slight trepidation as he bustles around the kitchen, wondering what you would think of his cooking hobby, hoping and wishing for your acceptance and approval despite how uncommon, maybe even looked down upon, it is in your society for a man to be rummaging around a woman’s domain.
But he’s good at what he does. He knows he is. And with that thought, he resolves himself to skillfully molding the onigiri he’s renowned for among his own clan, taking extra pains to make sure each one is perfectly filled, shaped, and decorated, snooping around and subtly asking your clan mates what your favorite flavors and ingredients are and incorporating them. Pleased with the final results, he sends a message for you to meet him in a secluded section of the park the two of you often frequent.
Used to Osamu coming to your chambers and walking with you right from the start, you’re surprised by the request to meet him and your heart flutters when you realize the specific location he’s chosen is one you run away to and use to hide from the world when you just need time and space for yourself, a location you’ve never told anyone about before, a safe haven and oasis you call your own. You’re surprised by how little you care about sharing this secret place with him, something bubbly and warm eliciting a smile on your face as you hike up your skirts and rush towards your fiance, laughing in the wind and ignoring the chiding from Suga and Asahi to “stop running” and “act like a lady”.
But as you near your destination, you do slow down, nervously gnawing at your bottom lip as your fingers comb through your wind tousled hair, smoothing out your skirts and making sure there’s no leftover signs of your delinquent behavior. And putting years of etiquette lessons into practice, you gracefully stroll towards the man you’re here to meet. Only to be startled out of your picturesque poise by the gorgeous spread in front of you.
Candles and lanterns flicker in the soft breeze, encasing and basking the area in their ethereal glow. Luxurious rugs and pillows are artfully splayed out across the floor, turning the grassy lawn into the most wondrous lounge you’ve ever seen and it takes all your willpower not to squeal and pounce in the ridiculously plush field. But what really takes your breath away is how Osamu’s chiseled face radiates in the warm light of the gentle fires blazing around him, a smile dancing on his lips when he takes in your wide entranced eyes, and you can feel your face warm, heart beating a mile a minute when you realize that he’s done all this just for you, a woman he hardly knows. And you quickly make your way towards him, blabbering on and on about how this is over the top, how he absolutely didn’t have to do any of this, how you can’t believe he went through all this trouble for you. Only to be silenced when he cuts you off with a single sentence topped with the sweetest smile you’ve ever seen.
“I did it because I wanted to.”
Stunned and still overwhelmed that almost a complete stranger has done something so lavish, so special, so selfless, just for you, you obediently let him beckon you and guide you to a seated position, sighing in bliss when you nestle among the myriad of fabrics, pleased that they feel just as nice, if not better, than what you had imagined. You excitedly watch as he rummages through the picnic basket he’s packed, realizing then just how hungry you actually are, and once again your jaw drops and you wonder if any of this is real, unsure how it’s possible for him to keep on pulling more and more items from the container until pristine glasses filled with refreshing liquids and ornate porcelain plates heaping with the most perfect onigiri you’ve ever seen entirely cover the empty space of the fabric spread surrounding you.
Senses still in overdrive, it’s all you can do to mindlessly grab the onigiri he offers you and bring it to your lips. But when your teeth sink into the delicate layers of seaweed and rice, the taste of your favorite filling slamming into your tastebuds, you’re jolted back to reality and suddenly any decorum you’ve learned is thrown out the window and Osamu bursts out laughing, a pleased flush on his face when you begin raving and practically dancing in your seat about how delicious the rice ball is as you simultaneously shove more bites into your mouth, your cheeks expanding not unlike the little chipmunks he sees prancing around the area. And when you realize just how unrefined you appear as the last bits of the onigiri are swallowed, an embarrassed apology on the tip of your tongue, he boldly reaches out to grab your hand, lacing your fingers with his.
“There’s nothing to be sorry about. I’m glad you enjoyed them so much.”
But it’s his turn to be embarrassed when you tentatively sidle up to him, allowing your bodies to touch as you lean into his side, continuing to hold his hand, looking up at him under fluttering lashes as you ask him where he’d gotten the food from. And this time it’s he who quietly murmurs that he had actually made these himself, apprehensive of what your reaction will be to finding out this secret tidbit, only for his own jaw to drop and gape in surprise when there’s not a second of hesitation or judgement as you look at him in awe, begging him to teach you his recipe.
Needless to say, whispers and rumors run amok as Osamu and you hog and hoard the kitchen at all hours of the day and night, some older and more traditional maids and servants looking on scandalously as Osamu rolls up his sleeves and slaves over pots and pans, the majority of your clan and Inarizaki just rolling their eyes with fond smiles on their faces as they watch the two of you in a flurry or chaos, food everywhere, stains on your clothes when the both of you proudly share your finished products that everyone, even those grumpy old naggers, enjoys.
One day, when the kitchen becomes particularly messy as Osamu accidentally spills flour all over you in his attempt to reach for the highly perched bag, there’s a brief moment of tension when you loudly gasp as white powder swirls all around you and your fiance awkwardly stands in place unsure whether to laugh or be mortified about the mess he’s made of you. But just as he comes to his senses and frantically looks around for a towel or rag to help clean you with, he yelps when something collides with his head, shortly followed by a cold slimy trail slipping down the nape of his neck, whipping his head around to look at you in shock.
When he sees the bowl of eggs strategically placed next to you, the broken eggshells at his feet, and the smug grin on your face, he stands at attention, meeting the challenging look in your eyes with his own competitive gleam. And then there’s only a whirlwind of commotion as the two of you scream and uproariously giggle, racing around the kitchen, ducking behind cabinets, finding anything and everything to chuck at the other, only stopping when Daichi and Kita finally put an end to the madness, trying to stay stern as they bite back their own laughter and relief at seeing the two of you get along so well.
The two of you profusely bow in apology, swearing you’ll clean up the mess you’ve made, but the second your two clan heads leave, you simultaneously peek at each other, softly chuckling at how filthy you both look. And as Osamu carefully plucks bits of egg shells from your hair and as you affectionately wipe his face clean of flour, eggs, and everything else that’s managed to get stuck, the two of you feel the stirrings of something more than just duty and responsibility, more than even just friendship or attraction, growing inside of you.
That feeling expands and blossoms inside the two of you, never ceasing to move and swirl inside both your hearts before clamoring into a resounding crescendo on your wedding day. And as Osamu and you both try to fight back tears of happiness and belonging, tears of everything falling into place, tears of life just making sense when you stand beside each other at the altar, the two of you thank whoever’s listening that you’re bound to each other for all of eternity.
The wedding is a joyous and rowdy affair and your stomach aches from laughing nonstop, feet sore from never ending rounds of dancing, eyes and hands unable to to be torn from your husband who is likewise as enamored as you. Both of you just stick out your tongues and ignore the teasing gags and hollering from both your clan mates as the two of you remain glued to each other all night. And as the evening draws to an end and Atsumu drunkenly shouts at both of you to get a room, your face heats and your stomach swoons when Osamu just cheekily smiles back and says that the both of you will do just that before swooping you up in his arms and carrying you out bridal style, wishing everyone farewell as he whisks you away to the amusement of your friends and family, raucous encouragements being shouted in your wake while you hide your embarrassed face in the crook of his shoulder, meekly waving goodbye to the cheering crowds.
But that atmosphere changes when you enter the room set aside for the two of you to spend your wedding night, the first evening of your lifelong union, and it feels like all those moons ago when the two of you first met as slightly trembling hands wrap around each other in a tentative embrace, lips hesitatingly pressing against each other in an inquisitive manner. Fingers brush against buttons, zippers, and ribbons. Fabric rustles as they’re shakily removed and placed aside. And then it’s just the two of you as you are, nothing hiding you from the other as eyes and fingertips gently roam and explore new territory.
It starts off slow as the two of you take your time mapping every line and curve now laid bare for your greedy eyes and hands, tasting each other, revelling in the little moans and grunts that fill the room as pert nipples are teased, teeth nip at the junction where neck meets shoulder, hips languidly grind and rub against each other.
Osamu’s head falls back as your fingers curiously wrap around his throbbing shaft, testing different strokes, and he returns your actions by slipping one long finger inside of you, hungrily staring at the way your mouth unconsciously opens, a tiny mewl escaping you from the delicious intrusion. You try your best to keep up your ministrations, gliding your hand up and down the velvety warmth heavy in your hands, but your movements become sloppy as the silver haired minx on top of you teasingly takes his time, painstakingly prepping you and stretching you out, only adding a new finger when your hips desperately shake and squirm in a silent plea for more.
But even three fingers in, it’s not enough, and you can’t help the petulant whine that leaves your mouth, the wanton begging for your husband to hurry up, eyes practically rolling in your head when he finally presses the tip of his cock against your fluttering and wanting entrance, eagerly awaiting the feeling of his shaft filling your desperate hole. Yet Osamu has different plans and you let out a choked sob when instead he slides the tip of his erection up and down your sensitive folds, patiently watching your building slick coat his mushroomed head, making sure you’re completely ready to take him.
You snap at him, tears beginning to form in your eyes from the denial and frustration, words coming out more demanding and bratty than you had intended as you order him to get on with it already. But you immediately regret your actions, whimpering when dark eyes sternly stare you down, pinning you in place and forcing you to clamp your mouth shut.
“Who knew a virgin like you could be such a demanding whore.”
The demeaning words have no right to affect you the way they do and you only become more agitated, a lance of arousal piercing through you and making you squirm from his tone and choice of phrase. You want him. You need him. And you thrash underneath him, futilely trying to force his cock inside of you, only to sob and submissively freeze at his next words.
“Stop moving or I’m going to tie you up and tease you all night.”
You feel like helpless prey, no fight left in you to resist, your energy spent obeying him, trying your best to stay put, fingers clawing into the rumpled bed sheets underneath you. And Osamu feels pride swell in his chest at how good you are, how perfect you’re behaving for him as he takes his time, fingers curling and gliding against your gummy walls, scissoring as they go in and out of tight hole, not stopping until you’re literally gushing, leaking juices everywhere, salty watery trails leaking from your eyes as your body shivers from pent up arousal and desire.
He can’t take his eyes off of you as his cock begins to breach your drenched entrance, enraptured by every flutter of your lashes, every change in your expression as he sinks deeper and deeper, branding every moment in his memory as you allow yourself to touch him, digging your nails into his upper arms as you come to terms with the sensation of being stuffed full. You moan, sinking into the tender kiss he offers as he finally bottoms out, tongues swirling around each other as you soak in the feeling of being so intimately connected.
But Osamu smirks when you make it known that enough is enough and he lightly bites your lower lip in playful punishment when you insistently rock your hips, hissing when you clamp down on his cock and let out whining sounds, too far gone to even verbally tell him what you want. Maybe next time he’ll be stricter about your bratty tendencies, but he supposes you’ve done well considering it’s your first time together and he relents.
A high pitched keen echoes through the room as Osamu picks up a steady rhythm, neck arching and mouth falling open as his cock drags against your walls with every snap of his hips, drowning in how deep and purposeful every stroke is, panting loudly as his heavy balls slap against your ass. He groans when your legs instinctively wrap around him as he brings a hand to fondle your aroused clit, forcing him closer, deeper, unwilling to leave any space between the two of you. And he’s on the same page as you, his torso leaning down, the new position having him hit new places inside of you that have you gasping, as he takes one of your hardened nipples in his mouth, sucking and watching in dark amusement as your eyes roll back in your head from all the stimulation.
He swears he could die happy like this, his cock enveloped in your tight wet warmth, your delectable tits in his mouth, your face contorted lewdly as pleasure wracks through the both of you. But you have a lifetime together now, endless time for him to play and ruin you any and every way he wants. So he focuses his attention solely back on you, releasing your nipple with a wet plop before leering down at you, a predatory razor sharp grin slicing across his handsome features, internally cooing at how you tighten around him as you nervously gulp.
“Your breasts are delicious, love. Can’t wait until I knock you up and your tits swell with milk. Bet it’ll taste so good. Wonder if there’ll be enough for the kids and me. Maybe we can save some for any more baking experiments we try. Would you like that? Want me to turn you into a pretty cow housewife? Maybe I’ll just keep you in the kitchen with a breast pump attached to you when I’m busy with work. Turn you into just another piece of useful kitchen equipment.”
This time he doesn’t hide his amusement at your expense when you respond by breathily chanting his name over and over again, telling him how close you are between little gasps and mewls as he continues pistoning in and out of your slick pussy, his pace increasing, rhythm beginning to rocket out of control as his own end becomes imminent.
But he’ll be damned if he doesn’t wreck you first and he continues his verbal onslaught, low drawl teasing as he tells you what a slut you are for getting off on his humiliating words, praising you for how amazing you feel and look, like you were made for him, like you were made to be used and fucked by him, only him, for the rest of your life-
Your wail cuts him off as you tumble over the edge, half screaming and sobbing as you’re forced to delirious heights and depths of pleasure you’ve never felt before, nails leaving wicked red marks in their wake as you claw at him out of pure instinct as he continues fucking in and out of you, losing any control and restraint he had as he chases his own end. Your pulsating walls milk his cock for all its worth and he groans, slamming fully into you one last time as he spills thick white spurts deep inside of you,
And then there’s only quiet intermingled with the sounds of both your panting breaths as you bask in the afterglow, humming in content as Osamu slowly lowers himself, making your husband chuckle in surprise when you tighten your legs that are still wrapped around him when he threatens to pull out and lay down by your side.
How can he deny that tired pout on your face as you silently nudge him back on top of you?
So he remains buried inside of you, letting himself be manhandled into laying on top of you and merely rolling his eyes fondly as you treat him like an oversized body pillow, your legs and now your arms wrapping around him, holding him tightly against you, uncaring of how the both of you are still covered in your combined messes. And as he watches you fall into a deep slumber, body exhausted, a blissed out smile on your face, he allows his own eyes to close shut, telling himself that he’d just clean the both of you up whenever he woke up, thankful that of all the people in the world that he could have been married off to, fate chose you.

Hands | Bakugou Katsuki x Fem!Reader
SUMMARY: Bakugou learned from a young age to keep his hands to himself, even when his entire body longed for touch and his eyes filled with tears at the loss of a comforting habit.
WORD COUNT: 2.4k
WARNINGS: hurt/comfort, angst, touch starved bakugou!!, kind of a character study? i think about him a lot, one kiss, cursing, consensual hand holding (PFFFT), mitsuki fucking sucks but what’s new
I hope you like this!! please remember feedback is always appreciated and all that. thank you for reading!! sorry if it sucks LMAO I DID MY BEST AND I KINDA LIKE IT
When he was a child, before he even cared about quirks or rankings or strength, Bakugou Katsuki loved holding hands.
No one knew exactly why, but that was just something he liked. He would hold Izuku’s hand while they talked and ran around the neighborhood, he would take his teacher's hand in his ever so softly whenever he walked over to their desk to ask a question. Katsuki would latch onto his dad with the most loving, tiny grip he could muster, and he would even interlace pinkies with his mom when she was having a good day and didn’t deem his manners “too soft”, “too weak”, “too foolish”. Those were nice days in the Bakugou household.
Bakugou Katsuki was five years old when he had his heart broken for the first time. It was a few weeks after his quirk manifested and he was just so excited to play hero (with a quirk, this time!) alongside his friends after school that he didn’t even hesitate before grabbing Izuku’s hand exactly like he always did, jumping up and down with energy and happiness, rambling about how he was gonna be the number one hero one day — until Izuku screamed, pulling his hand away with a painful expression. Katsuki furrowed his eyebrows, confused at his best friend’s antics, and then he saw it: the raw, burned flesh of his palm.
Katsuki had hurt his best friend.
It’s very easy to fix objects, his dad used to tell him while stitching up one of his ripped shirts, you just get a bit of glue or yarn and you put it back together, a smile graced his lips at the feeling of his son taking his hand immediately after he let go of the sewing needle, but people are a lot harder to patch up, Katsu. People can’t be fixed, sometimes.
He wasn’t exactly sure of when he started shoving his hands inside his pockets, when he started opening doors with his feet and touching people with his shoulders to get their attention. It took him a while to understand that that first occasion wasn’t an accident, and that controlling his quirk when he got too excited or just overly happy was too hard and the security he got from all those tender touches he so eagerly searched from everyone in his life wasn’t worth the risk. The best thing Katsuki could do, for himself and for others, was to keep his hands to himself, even if they felt cold and empty and his big red eyes filled with tears at the loss of such a comforting habit.
He told himself it didn’t matter. You’d have to overgrow that over time, anyway, his mom reminded him at some point. Such childish, silly bullshit. Only softies hold hands, Katsuki, and we both know you’re not a softie.
It was easy to pretend he didn’t miss it. After a few years, the lack of touch was simply another part of his life he consciously chose to ignore, another longing he conditioned himself not to think about. It wasn’t like many people noted his abrupt change in behavior either — there were other things about him that were much more worthy of attention than that, like his killer quirk and quick brain, like his determination and ambition. Who cared about the fact that little Bakugou Katsuki didn’t want to hold hands anymore? Who cared about the fact that little touchy and clingy Bakugou Katsuki now barely touched others?
Such childish, silly bullshit. Only softies hold hands, Katsuki, and we both know you’re not a softie.
He met her during his second year at UA. Y/N was mostly quiet, but still friendly and hardworking, fighting hard for her place as the number one student in Class 2-B. A project involving the two classes put them as partners, and project meetings soon became sparring sessions that turned into study group that led to study dates and then real dates and, by the beginning of his senior year, Katsuki had gotten himself a girlfriend.
He wasn’t certain if she noticed the way he purposely kept his hands out of reach when they walked side by side, or if she ever saw how he always made sure his palms were pointing away from her skin whenever they hugged or cuddled. He didn’t think anyone would ever pay enough attention to him to the point of perceiving his hesitancy. It didn’t matter that Bakugou had gained complete control of his quirk, it didn’t matter that he still felt his skin and his hands tingling with the urge, the craving for touch — the satisfaction wasn’t worth the risk, not the stupid satisfaction he didn’t even need. Such childish, silly bullshit. Bakugou Katsuki was doing very well with letting go of old customs, no doubt.
But Y/N noticed. God, of course she did — she noticed all the longing gazes, all the small flinches. She noticed how he never let his hands touch hers and at first it made her worried. Didn’t he want to touch her? Had she done something wrong? Her boyfriend wasn’t the best at communicating his feelings, even though he had been putting in the effort to talk to her whenever he felt a bit under the weather or bothered.
However, this seemed like a bigger problem, like something he would never speak of unless she brought it up. It seemed deeper.
“Katsu?”
He lifted his scarlet eyes from the book in his hands and turned them to her sitting figure. They were both on his bed, despite curfew starting in less than an hour and the knowledge they shouldn’t be alone in his dorm. To be honest, Aizawa was quite used to watching the Class B girl sneak out of his student’s room every other night, wearing one of his many hoodies and those shorts that she always left in his closet. As long as they weren’t causing him any trouble, Eraserhead didn’t cause them any trouble, either.
“Yeah?” his voice was clearly tired after a day full of training and studying, a hint of sleepiness dripping from his tone.
“How come you never let me hold your hand?”
Katsuki froze on the spot, feeling his heart pick up its pace until it was beating so loud he could hear it by his ear, throbbing. He gulped harshly, sweat immediately gathering up on his hands from his own anxiety. She had noticed?
“What do you mean?” he tried to laugh calmly, but his chuckle sounded forced and nervous. He put the book away.
“You never let me hold your hand,” Y/N’s cheeks were tinted red with shyness. She had been pondering on how to talk to him about this for days now, yet seeing him so flustered made her surprisingly tense. “You avoid touching me with your hands in general, actually,” her chuckle sounded as forced and nervous as his, “is… Is there something wrong? Would you feel better if I stopped touching you so much? Does it make you uncomfortable? Because I really don’t want to make you uncomfortable, Katsu. You can talk to me about things like that, you know it.”
He couldn’t get himself to answer, unable to move or truly process her words. He really thought he had been slick, huh? He really thought she’d never notice, he really thought she’d never care. How would she feel if he told her he was afraid to hurt her, that he was afraid he would lose control of his quirk and burn her somehow, like he had done with Izuku all those years ago? Would she think he was childish and silly, too? Such childish, silly bullshit, Bakugou Katsuki scared of holding hands with his girlfriend, scared of touching her and holding her like she deserved to because what if it went wrong? What if he fucked it up? The best thing Katsuki could do, for himself and for others, was to keep his hands to himself, even if they felt cold and empty and his big red eyes filled with tears at the loss of such a comforting habit.
People are a lot harder to patch up, his father told him. He didn’t want to be guilty of screwing this up, didn’t want to destroy the relationship he cherished so, so much. Would she think he was weak for being this reluctant? Would she laugh at his stupid antics and tell him to grow up and stop being such a softie? Would she get mad? Should he even tell her?
“Katsu?” her soft voice relaxed his muscles like it habitually did, and he sighed deeply before meeting her worried eyes. “Talk to me?”
Y/N had always had this amazing talent of making him feel at ease. Ever since they met, so many months ago, she had this blinding quality that urged him to be quieter, calmer, less defensive. She didn’t even have to try tearing down his walls — they simply melted away when she smiled at him for the first time. He had never really talked about this issue with anyone else before, and he didn’t know how to even start, but Y/N made him want to try. Still, the words felt heavy on his tongue.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he muttered so quietly that she leaned in to hear him, furrowing her eyebrows in disagreement.
“Come on, Katsu. Please?”
He inhaled deeply. She stared patiently, waiting for him to organize his own thoughts enough to explain the thousands of things running through his mind. When his eyes met hers again, he felt warm all over. Katsuki loved the way she looked at him — there was no fear, no ulterior interest, no nonsensical admiration. She looked at him and she saw… Katsuki. Just that. And, strangely, that seemed enough.
The boy averted his eyes from hers. “I don’t want to hurt you with my quirk.”
Oh. Oh? That, well, that was definitely unexpected. The crease in Y/N’s eyebrows deepened.
“Why would you ever hurt me, Katsuki?”
The future hero lifted his head to look at her instantly, confusion swimming in his red gaze as he answered, “I mean by accident, Y/N. I—,” he almost stopped himself right there, yet her expression caused him to continue, “I really liked holding hands when I was younger, you know? With my friends, teachers, family, and all that,” his ears were bright pink with embarrassment that subsided when she smiled softly at the new information, “it made me feel safe or whatever. Then I—then I got my quirk and, sometimes, when I held hands with people it just—,” he exhaled heavily before letting out a sad, defeated laugh, “I have burned a nasty amount of people. I don’t want to do that with you, too. I’d never want to hurt you.”
Katsuki was hardly a vulnerable person. He tried to be, yes, because he wanted this to work and for it to work he had to meet her halfway somehow during certain moments, but it was so, so difficult. It was so difficult for him to open up and talk about one of his biggest insecurities of all time, about one of the things he most craved for. He didn’t want to scare her away.
“Katsuki.” Her tone was serious and she stared at him with such intensity that he lost the ability to breathe for a second. “I understand where you’re coming from, but that’s bullshit.”
Bakugou blinked. “What?”
“You’d never hurt me, okay? I know you wouldn’t. I trust you, Katsu, so much. I’m sorry I didn’t ask you about this before,” she bit her lip thoughtfully while he could only stand there, dumbfounded with her reaction.
Out of all his imagined worst-case scenarios, this was a surprise.
“Katsu,” the girl called to him again, smiling lovingly in that way that made his world spin in its axis when they first met, “do you trust me too?”
“Of course I do,” there was no hesitation this time. Of course he did.
“Can I touch your hands?”
Once again, he froze on the spot. She looked at him expectantly.
People are a lot harder to patch up. She was trying, though. She was really trying to fix the ripped pieces of himself he tried to bury under anger and seclusion, pretending there was nothing wrong and that this was just how things were supposed to be.
Bakugou looked down at his own hands, studying them carefully. With a last shaky exhale, he nodded.
She took his hands in hers, letting her fingers interlace with his cautiously so as to not startle him. Her thumb caressed his palm ever so softly and he fought the instinctive flinch that threatened to push her away. After years without it, this type of touch felt too intimate, too close, too new.
He liked it.
He smiled.
“See? Nothing to worry about.” Y/N smiled back, grinning when he took it upon himself to squeeze her hand in appreciation. “You’re fine, Katsuki. I like holding your hand.”
His smile grew wider and he leaned in to kiss her, living for the feeling of her fingers squeezing his while their lips moved slowly. They had kissed a million times before, yet this felt different. If given the chance, Katsuki probably wouldn’t mind being stuck in that moment forever, with her lips on his and his hands on hers — Y/N had melted away all his walls and defenses from the start, and he was incredibly glad. He was incredibly glad for her.
His heart was beating fast inside his chest, especially when she pulled one of his hands up slightly to let it cup her face. A shiver went down his spine as he felt the curve of her jaw under his fingertips, the softness of her skin touching his. When there was not any air left in their lungs, they parted from each other. She turned her face to kiss his palm affectionately and his entire face seemed to burst with love and gratitude.
“I like holding your hand, too.”
She giggled, and, for the first time, Bakugou felt like it’d be alright if he decided not to keep his hands to himself. Such childish, silly bullshit, waiting around when he could’ve been holding hands this whole time.
A/N: so that was it!!! i hope you liked it!!! hehe hello

SKZ REACT to...
◈ you being followed
part of my eight as fate event !! ( requested by anon ♡ )
genre/s: comfort, skz x gn reader
warning/s: description of being followed on the street, descriptions / mentions of panic attacks
wc: 1.8k
a/n: this one took me quite a while but i’m happy with it !!! i decided to write out a longer introduction to this to kinda set up a scene !! i hope y’all enjoy it (esp the comforting parts ofc kdjdjf)
it’s somewhat unlike you to walk alone at night. you figured it would only take you a few minutes, but you got out of work late, setting you back quite a while. to make things worse, while you were working overtime, the sun had set, leaving you to traverse the dimly lit city streets on your own. all you know is that your boyfriend left the door open for you, and a couch date sounds really great right now.
somewhere along your walk, you heard a shuffling noise coming from behind you. you disregarded it, thinking it may have been simple paranoia. you’ve seen too many movies, you think. however, as you keep up your leisurely yet steady pace, you hear another noise. this time you turn around.
a man. in a black hoodie. looking you dead in the eye.
your eyes widen as a small gasp leaves your mouth. needless to say, you begin sprinting to your destination, heart racing at a pace that rivals the speed of your feet. with your focus aimed at getting as far away as you can, you’re honestly not even sure how your legs know where they’re going. nevertheless, your saving grace comes into view. after a quick glance at the now empty street behind you, you sprint even faster than before. and, once you make it to the apartment door, you fling the door open and leap inside with enough force to rattle the hinges.
“y/n? what’s wro-”
“i was being followed,” you interject, a choked sob finally escaping you.
◈ CHAN
his first instinct, no matter what, is to make sure you feel safer now.
he’ll sit you down on the couch, staying close beside you and rubbing your back while reiterating that whoever that man was is gone now.
i’ve always liked to think he’d be good to have around in the event of a panic attack. especially if you’re the type of person who needs physical and verbal reassurance. back rubs, hugging, and breathing reminders galore.
once you’ve calmed down, he would wipe away your tears and hold you close to him as he asks you about the rest of your day.
he’s an amazing listener and he can’t wait to hear about the latest employee or customer gossip lmao
but more importantly, it would take your mind off things, which is all he truly wants.
if you start looking a bit gloomy or drifting off in thought, he’d probably suggest some cuddle time !! he would make sure to remind you of how courageous you were in that moment before promising you one last time that you’re safer now, here with him.
you’d finally fall asleep in his arms, filling him with relief.
◈ MINHO
first reaction: absolutely pissed.
not at you of course, but at the guy who was following you. with you still in his arms, he glances pointedly out the front door and the windows, closing the blinds after giving the entire apartment a once-over.you end up in the bedroom, in which he’ll guide you to sit beside him on the bed.
his expression will have completely changed from anger to loving concern. he’d look deeply into your eyes while holding both your hands in his, assuring you that you’re safe now.while you continue to cry, you explain what had happened in more detail. he strokes your hair as you speak and nods along, blood boiling.
he can’t stand the thought of any person making you feel unsafe. but, he’d maintain a calm exterior in order to make you feel more at ease.
once you describe the whole situation, he’d reassure you once again that the man can’t get to you now.
“he’ll have to get through me.”
you giggle.
“hEY”
◈ CHANGBIN
i think he’d have a similar reaction to minho !!
very visibly pissed that some random guy had the nerve to intimidate you. that dude’s lucky he didn’t follow you the whole way home or else he’d probably be pretty uh. damaged. by now..
he’d sit you down on the couch, do a quick check-in at each of the windows and doors, and come back as soon as he can to console you.
when he does, he’s quick to sit beside you, arm wrapped around you with the other wiping the tears off of your face.
after you explain the situation a bit more clearly, he becomes even more angry (probably mutters some curses under his breath)
but !!!! i think he’d really try his best to focus on cheering you up
asking you what you’d like to do for the rest of the night, if you’d like any food, if you’d like to sleep or stay up for a while.. etc.
plus he’d amp up the silly antics to make you forget about things !!
◈ HYUNJIN
i think his physical reaction would become similar to yours. very quickly.
like once he sees your tears and senses your quickened pulse. his immediate response (whether voluntary or not) would be to emulate you.
so, naturally, he’d hold you in his arms and let you cry it out, while small sobs of his own escape him.
seeing you so scared is a scary feeling.
of course, he’d reassure you that you’re safe !!! he’d look into your eyes, tucking your hair behind your ears, and tell you that it’s all over now and that you’re safe.
you, of course, don’t want him to feel sad or scared, so you’d console him as well.
you two would comfort each other the whole rest of the night. i think the most probable option would be the two of you cuddled up in bed watching a movie or reading webtoons together
distraction !! but make it a drama !! or a romcom because .. vibes !!
and when you decide it’s time for bed (however late that may be due to the stress from earlier) he’d be sure to remind you that he’ll be with you all night & when you wake up
(but he’s also secretly clinging onto you out of fear as well kdjfgj)
◈ JISUNG
“oh sh- oh sHIT-”
wouldn’t know what in the fuck to do
would haphazardly check all the windows like minho did, holding your hand as you continue to cry
after he’s done, he’d cling to you and hold you SO very tight <3
lots of “shh shh baby.. baby shhhh” and all that jazz.. you know the sungie vibes…
he’d stroke your hair and arms, noticing your slight shakiness and suggesting you both cuddle for some extra comfort and warmth
no matter what time of night it is, he’d turn off the lights and cuddle with you as you describe the event in more detail
quiet & calm
even if you end up crying again while you speak, he’s there to brush the tears off your face with his thumb and help you calm down again
◈ FELIX
before you came, he might have cooked a small meal for the two of you to share. even though you worked late, it’d still be waiting for you when you arrive. he’d wait too.
when you do happen to burst through the door, he’d jump and gasp out of fear but he’s quick to run up to you and hold you as you let out everything you’d held in during your walk-turned-chase
also !! will help you get settled in as you describe what went down
helping you take off your coat and shoes, getting water for you, grabbing some blankets; all while listening intently and giving you all of his attention
once you’re seated on the couch, wrapped in the softest blanket he could find and staying hydrated after such a harrowing event, he’d be sure to hold you as close as possible to remind you that everything’s okay
eventually, through his subtle gestures and calming demeanor, you won’t even realize how you got situated !! he just knows what to do to make you as comfortable as possible without even trying all that hard
you may choose to skip dinner, but no matter what, he’ll be holding you close the whole night through to make sure you know he’s there to protect and care for you
◈ SEUNGMIN
he’s very methodical about how to proceed. his first instinct is to do what some of the others would and check the house, but he decides to help you calm down first.
you’re rambling about what happened in between sobs and quick breaths, which sends a pain through his heart as he shuts and locks the door.
if you’re shorter than him, he’d bend a little to make direct eye contact with you. he’ll rub your arms and tell you that you don’t have to be afraid anymore
the most calming and reassuring voice in the whole world omg !!!!!!
he’d wipe your tears away and cup your face with both of his hands, prompting you to look back into his eyes before smiling at you
“you’re safe now, right?”
you smile back at him, nodding.
“now, let’s lock all the doors so no bad guys can get in!”
then, he’d take your hand and let you help him lock the doors and shut the curtains, making it feel like a chore instead of a precaution
and for your “good work”, he’d reward you with some binge watching & cuddle time !!! (as if that wasn’t the original plan skjdfg)
◈ JEONGIN
(under his breath, eyes wide) “oh my god…”
i think he’d start freaking out a bit like hyunjin did, but he’d do his very best to hide it. he knows he has to be strong to help you calm down and feel safe.
like felix, he’d help you take off your coat and shoes, leading you over to the couch as you shakily describe what happened.
(i’m sorry i keep making comparisons to the other members bUT) like minho, he’d hold your hands in his, rubbing them softly with his thumbs to soothe your nerves as you let everything out
he’d try to cheer you up by suggesting alternative motives the man might’ve had instead of wanting to harm you
for instance:
jeongin: “what if he was lost and needed directions but he was too shy to ask because you’re so pretty/handsome?”
you: “babe i don’t think-”
jeongin: “OR what if he thought he knew you !!”
you: “but he-”
jeongin: “WHAT IF IT WAS BATMAN-”
overall, his aim is to distract you (as well as himself), which ends in success. you’ll both be in stitches by the end of the night
and… laughing is super tiring, right?

Obliviate | Draco Malfoy
M A S T E R L I S T Harry Potter Masterlist
very sad (light) smut requested requests info
this is so sad. I’m sorryyyyy. also if you wanted to set the mood more, I listened to THIS while writing it. Please listen to it, it wont be the same without the song lmao
Part 1/10 (Part 2)(Part 3)(Part 4)(Part 5)(Part 6)(Part 7)(Part 8)(Part 9)(Part 10)
Draco had thought back to every other time in his life where he had felt like this, and nothing came to mind. There wasn’t another second of his torturous life that felt like this. He tended to count his blessings where he had them, and you were a blessing in his life. One that he woke up every single day thanking God for, Draco isn’t sure he’d ever love anyone the way he loves you. But he knew from the start, that the two of you were doomed, two lovers caught on each side of the war. His Father in direct relation with the Dark Lord, and you- Harry Potter’s cousin. There was a target on your back from the second you got to Hogwarts all those years ago and when Draco had first met you- he didn’t understand just how much danger you were already in.
Nobody looked at Draco the way you did, nobody looked at him like he was worth saving. But when you looked at him, you saw something in him that he didn’t even see in himself. Draco believes that he was never a good person until he met you, and even then whether or not he was good is still up to debate. You inspire people to be better, to be good and if there is no good- you create it. You are a light in an everlasting darkness, and he doesn’t deserve you. But selfishly he wants to keep you- and he knows you’d never voluntarily leave him. He had to make the choice for you. You can’t stubbornly stand by his side if you don’t remember you’re in love with him.
The Black Lake looks darker than Draco remembered it being. The view he currently held from the astronomy tower was beautiful in it’s own way, but now that he held every memory you have of him in his hands- the beauty seemed to slip out of the world. Looking down at the small vial in his hands, the vial containing your memories of him, his bottom lip quivers. He can’t stand how emotional you make him, you make him feel both weak and strong at the same time. His hand curls around the vial, Draco knows this is what he needs to do. He never expected it to be this hard though.
Closing his eyes, Draco decided to take one last walk down memory lane before he would destroy your memories of him forever.
The first time you had met Draco was when you were stood on the steps next to your cousin, Harry. Draco was stood in front of you, and although his eyes were on Harry- the blush on his cheeks came from being so close to you. Draco had held his head high, even when you snapped at him and told him how wonderful you found Ron to be. Draco always admired your sharp tongue, your unwillingness to step down when you felt passionately about something. He’s going to miss being your voice of reason, or the hand that holds you back when you’re ready to literally fight for what you believe in. You always say what you’re really thinking, how you’re really feeling. That’s something Draco has never really had the strength to do. If he did he would have said he loved you more often, and perhaps would have told Harry that he doesn’t hate him.
Draco vividly remembers the first time you looked at him, and saw him in a way nobody else does. Not even Crabbe and Goyle. He was sat in the back corner of the Library, hiding away from everyone and everything after receiving yet another disappointed letter from his Father. You’d been gathering books to study for Potions when you spotted him sitting secluded, alone. You didn’t hesitate to go sit next to him, and when you looked over at him you saw every emotion he carefully hid from the world written plainly on his face. As if you had the only key to unlock the innermost parts of his brain. After a few minutes of gentle coaxing, Draco eventually began to open up to you about his Father and in return you opened up about your terrible parents. About how abusive they were to Harry- how much that hurt you. Draco hadn’t given it a second thought when you revealed you were muggle born. Really Draco didn’t mind, nor did it offend him in the way he acted it did but for his Father Draco must keep up appearances.
He still feels guilty remembering how you recoiled away from him when he had spat the word ‘mudblood’ in your direction. He feels guilty as he remembers the tears trickling down your cheeks. Even that feeling paled in comparison to the way Draco feels now.
Draco remembers the first time you kissed him, and yes much to his embarrassment it was you that kissed him. You always were someone who went after what you wanted. He was in the Hospital wing after Buckbeak attacked him. Despite him being the biggest prat you’d ever met, you still went to see him anyway. You sat next to Draco in the bed, seeing the tears well in his eyes at the revelation Buckbeak would be executed. Sure he was angry the stupid thing attacked him but never would he want Buckbeak killed for it. Draco wasn’t entirely surprised to learn his Father had threatened the committee in order for Buckbeak to be sentenced. It’s not Draco that his Father cared about, it’s the family image. You had cupped his cheeks, and gently pressed your lips to his. It was the only thing you could think to do to soothe him, and it worked. Draco melted against you, his sorrows briefly muted by the feeling of your lips on his own. He thinks he might have fallen in love with you right at that moment.
The first time you went to Hogsmeade with him was the following year, during the winter. Your cheeks were rosy and your hand was as cold as ice around his warmer palm. He remembers you squealing with excitement as it began to snow again, the soft flakes fluttering gently around you. You truly did look like an angel. The snow stuck to your hair as you turned to look at him, “make a snowman with me!” Your voice was lilted, almost melodic as the happiness you felt carried over into your tone. While Draco didn’t normally do silly things like making snowmen, he couldn’t fight the smile that split across his face as he helped you roll the bottom of the snowman. Before that moment, Draco never knew joy like that even existed. It was only later that he discovered that this kind of joy only existed when he was with you.
The first time the words ‘I love you’ graced the space between your lips was when you’d both met at the astronomy tower at midnight. The stars were twinkling beautifully, but even so Draco couldn’t keep his eyes off you. You blushed, refusing to meet his eye. You were always insecure, which baffled Draco immensely. How could you believe any other girl is anywhere close to being as pretty as you? There’s not another woman on the face of this Earth that compares to you, and you would often giggle and tell him to stop when he would begin his long ‘you’re the most beautiful girl’ rant. You had led Draco to believe, that maybe he and Harry could find peace. You were in fact, the only thing they had in common. The words fell right out of his mouth before he could pause to give them any thought. “I love you,” The air seemed to stiffen around him, crushing him as he watched you. You didn’t hesitate.
“I love you Draco.” It was the best moment of his life.
Draco will never forget the first time he was allowed to see the beauty of your bare skin. You’d think it would be easier to find places to be alone in this great big castle, eventually Draco had settled for the edge of the Black Lake- far from the castle. The journey out to the Lake had started innocently, the both of you quite enjoyed star gazing and spending your evenings together. You’d been sitting next to him, watching the large tentacles of the monster that lives in the Lake toss you things from the depths. You really did have a way in bringing out the good in everything, you’d even managed to befriend the monster that lives in the Lake. “Wow look at this,” your voice was quiet with amazement as you turned over a beautiful amulet in your hands. It was simple, silver chain with a white gem that shone as brightly as the moon. The Lake monster had given it to you, and Draco remembers the soft sigh that left your lips as his hands graced the back of your neck, fastening the amulet.
Draco remembers the delicate way you turned to face him, how your eyes never left his as you carefully slid onto his lap. Your hands were placed on his shoulders as your lips met in a slow and languid kiss. The searing heat built between you two and seemed to draw your most intimate parts together. Without realizing, you’d begun to gently grind against Draco- drawing out soft moans from his lips. Never before had Draco felt this kind of desire for another person. His hands slid up your back and carefully removed each layer of clothing that was in between him and your bare skin. Your skin was flushed as Draco’s lips explored your naked body, carefully turning you over so that he would hover above you. You gripped fistfuls of the grass as Draco had found his home in between your legs, laving your sensitive folds with his tongue and mouth. It felt like heaven, and he knew it did. He could see it on your face, and you looked so beautiful.
The desire burning inside you began to beat between your legs like a drum as you pulled Draco back up your body. Nuzzling his nose against yours, Draco slipped the head of his member in between your folds. The thought of hurting you made him feel sick to his stomach, but with a few gentle words of encouragement from you, he was gently working himself inside your tight heat. The feeling was incomparable, indescribable, suffocating, and intoxicating all at the same time. Draco knew that here on the grass, between your legs, was somewhere he wanted to be forever. If he could capture this moment in something more than his minds eye he would, he wants this memory to live forever. He rocked into you again and again, losing himself in the way your body felt against his. Never had Draco felt so connected to another person, you had him, mind body and soul. He was falling into that pit now, no doubt about it, and there was no way out. He was head over heels in love, not that he minded.
Draco would do anything to keep you safe, and he really means that.
Draco had grown distant from you this year, mostly because of the swirling black tattoo on his left forearm. The Dark Mark. He knew in an instant that you had to stay as far from him as humanly possible, and while he tried to stay away, he was weak and kept falling back into your embrace. He needed to convince you to stay away from him, and if he couldn’t...then he had to make you. You’d confronted him this evening, with tears in your eyes and a tremble in your hands. You wanted, needed, to know what was going on. Why he felt so far away from you. So Draco pressed a kiss to your forehead, took your hand, and led you here. To the Astronomy tower, a place where so many monumentous things happened between you. This would be the perfect place to say goodbye.
You staggered back when he lifted his sleeve. The breath was stolen from your lungs when you saw the Dark Mark, writhing and wriggling on his arm. Tears built in your eyes as you looked at him, his name falling past your broken lips. How could this have happened? How could he let this happen? You wanted to scream, to tear your hair out, to cry, to do anything but your body wouldn’t let you. You simply stood frozen before him, feeling as though the most powerful force in the world was tearing the two of you apart. The next words out of his mouth shattered you beyond repair.
“You need to stay away from me, for your own good. And for Harry’s.” It was the first time he’d ever used Harry’s first name, that’s how you knew he really meant this. But you couldn’t, you loved Draco with every ounce of your heart, how could you leave him? You shook your head vehemently, tears now free falling down your cheeks. “I-I can’t.” You gasped, watching a pained expression cross onto Draco’s face. He didn’t want to do this, he really didn’t want to do this but the thought of you getting tortured or killed by Voldemort replays in his mind. He couldn’t put you in danger, not for something so selfish, not because he loves you. It’s because he loves you that he’s willing to let you go, that he’s willing to make this sacrifice if it means keeping you safe.
When he turns to you again, his wand is raised and the look on his face is one you’ve never seen before. His hand is trembling, his eyes look hollow and his mouth is quivering. He looks desperate, he looks distraught, but most of all, he looks broken. “Draco,” You whisper, tears in your eyes as you look up at him, your hand finding the railing behind you. “You have to stay away from me.” Draco gasps, desperately fighting tears.
“Please don’t do this.” Your voice is weak, you know what’s coming next. You’re smart enough to connect the dots.
Draco’s hand wavers, “I have to.” His voice is final, but his body looks as though it’s falling apart. Thoughts of him facing what he must face, without your love, sends panic through your chest. He’ll have to endure the pain, the struggles, all of it, alone. You want to be there for him, you don’t care about the danger. Draco knows you don’t, that’s why he has to do this.
“Baby please, I love you.” You cry desperately, and Draco feels his heart burning to dust in his chest as he looks down at you. “I love you too.” He breathes, closing his eyes and steeling his nerves for what he is going to do next. “Draco!” Your voice comes out as a cry of desperation, and you lurch forward. But Draco is faster.
“Obliviate.” He whispers the word into the open air, watching as you halt, your tearful eyes locked on his. “Draco,” You whisper as a light of blue slips from your head and into the tip of Draco’s wand. Your hands drop to your sides, and your eyes fall flat, looking through him now, seeing him as everyone else does. Your face is empty, expressionless as you watch him. Lowering his wand, Draco slips your memories into the vial as you blink in confusion before sending him a nervous smile. You look around briefly, before reaching over to grab your coat. You brush past Draco without looking at him again, offering a hollow ‘goodnight’ over your shoulder as you go. Draco feels empty, emptier than he ever has. It’s only now that he lets a tear slide down his cheek.
His hands were shaking as he leaned over the railing, the cool wind chilling him. The view laid out before him doesn’t hold any beauty in it anymore, and it feels as though all the color has drained from the world. Grasping the vial tightly in his hand, Draco squeezes his eyes shut before throwing it as hard as he could over the edge of the astronomy tower. He watches with bleary eyes as the vial of your memories, the vial containing your love for him disappears into the Black Lake. This is the right thing to do, but Draco can’t fight how wrong it feels. He knows now that he’ll never be the same, but he turns anyway. Straightens his suit, wipes his tears, and begins the journey back to his common room.

How to Fall in Love and Out of Love [Tim Drake x Reader]
A/N: I personally don’t think this was very good. It went in a direction I didn’t intend and if I make a part two, then it would be in the direction I intended (without making an ‘alternate story’). Not sure if it’s any good tbh
Pairing: Tim Drake x Reader
Warning: None
Word Count: 3705
You weren’t the epitome of a model human being.
You knew that.
You tried to be grateful for the things you had. A roof over your head, food on your table, parents who loved you, even though they may not be very supportive of you as of right now, and a job… even if it wasn’t a decent one. It was enough to get by and that’s what you needed right now. As such, you were a bit rough around the edges. You weren’t graceful or stunning by any standards, at least you believed you weren’t. You didn’t have time to put much effort into your appearance, if you could afford it. Still, you were grateful for what you had.
Tim changed all that for you.
Your meeting was picturesque; he always bought coffee from the cafe you worked at, right across the Wayne Enterprises headquarters. Most workers would opt to buy from the cafe inside the building, but Tim claimed he liked the way you made his order—you knew specifically what he liked and always made it that way. He appreciated it, and in turn, he made you feel appreciated.
For you, someone who left home the moment you graduated high school to pursue your dreams of being a singer, someone who had spent the last few years navigating the city terrain alone with little to no help, his appreciation was welcomed with open arms. Admittedly, you had a bit of a crush on him, but considering the difference between the two of you, you thought it would not work.
But one rainy day, he came in, drenched from head to toe, with the silliest smile on his face. He apologised for getting the floor wet and asked for the usual. You were puzzled for why would he run through the rain to get a cup of coffee? Surely he could survive one afternoon without it? You asked him about it when you served him, and he admitted that he also wanted to escape from the leery eyes of the shareholders for a moment. He then told you about his troubles, how he had recently been promoted and everyone was doubting his abilities. They whispered devilish lies about him—how he was incompetent, how he only got his position due to his connections, how his parents never wanted him. The gullible shareholders voiced their opposition on his promotion, and this sent him on a spiral of work that kept growing.
“I just need one afternoon where I don’t have to deal with all that,” he sighed, “sorry if I’m overstaying my welcome.”
He kept apologising. Why would he keep apologising?
You shook your head. “Don’t be. There are no customers here, I doubt anyone would come in with this rain. Stay for as long as you like.” You said it casually, but inside your heart was racing.
“Thank you,” he said, a shy smile appearing on his lips.
That afternoon, you and him talked for hours. He told you about his work while you told him about yours. Both of you exchanged stories and histories, passions and worries. It was the first time you felt truly connected with someone, and perhaps that was why you fell so hard. He was polite and courteous, a welcome change from the hard personalities you dealt in the big city. He seemed not to mind your occasional sharp tongue and slip-ups, and listened to you when you poured your heart out about your dreams and your concerns about everything--your financial situation, your failures to find a gig, your loneliness, and your parents. He listened and not once did he judge you. It made you fuzzy.
But alas, all good things must come to an end.
When the torrential downpour stopped, Tim apologised profusely for cutting your conversation short and left, taking a moment to turn back to look at you before leaving. Sighing, you took the money from his table. When you counted the money, you were shocked that he tipped you so well. You made a mental note to thank him the next time. Then as you cleaned the table, you noticed something hastily scribbled on a piece of napkin. You picked it up and couldn’t help but laugh.
Scratch thanking him next time. Now you could just text him.
Falling in love with Tim was effortless. Becoming a couple wasn’t that much harder. From the moment you two truly spoke, that one rainy day, the two of you just clicked.
It was kind of a mutual confession. You two said it at the same time during a video call. To say your heart was racing at that moment was an understatement.
The next time you two met, it wasn’t at a cafe but on your first date. Tim was dressed up as handsomely as always. His no doubt expensive suit made you feel inferior with your thrifted clothes, but he didn’t seem to care.
“You look stunning,” he complimented you with a hint of redness on his cheeks. He avoided eye contact with you.
“Thanks! You-you too!”
Tim led you to his car, opened the door for you and closed it when you got into his car—he was a true gentleman. His car was spotless, and although you did not know the specific model, it was an expensive brand. It must’ve cost thousands.
“Where are we going?” you asked. Tim had insisted he plan the first date, and while you hated not knowing—due to financial reasons—you caved into his insistence.
“That’s a surprise,” he answered, glancing at you. You huffed.
“Tell me at least, am I overdressed or underdressed, because seeing how you are looking, I feel like I am severely underdressed.”
Tim laughed at your statement. “You look perfect [F/N]. Don’t worry.” Your cheeks felt warm when you heard that.
It felt strange being with him after the confession. You had clicked so well and talked and texted for hours, but now that both of your feelings have unfolded, you were so flustered. You hoped it wouldn’t be like this all night, or else you wouldn’t be able to bear it.
Tim seemed to have sensed your unease, so he spoke right after that thought. “How are your auditions going? Did you get any callbacks?”
“No,” you sighed, “but that’s okay. There are plenty of other gigs in the future. Someone is bound to book me!” You tried to be as optimistic as possible, not wanting to possibly bring down his mood.
“I’m sure you’ll get it soon,” he reassured.
“How do you know? You haven’t even heard my stuff,” you scoffed. You didn’t mean to sound rude. You cursed yourself quietly for that.
But Tim didn’t seem to mind. He never minded. “I know because it’s you.”
And there he goes again, making your heart flutter.
“Thanks Tim,” you said quietly. You truly appreciated his kindhearted nature.
“No worries,” he said, “and look, we’re here!” Tim turned into the underground parking and found a parking spot close to the elevator. When he turned off the engine, he quickly got out and rushed to your door, opening it for you like the gentleman he was. You could only mutter a shy ‘thank you’.
When you got to the restaurant Tim led you to, you couldn’t help but gasp, both in amazement and horror.
“Tim!” you whispered loudly, “isn’t this too… too… expensive?” You said the last word quietly, a bit embarrassed.
Tim waved a hand. “It’s fine,” he reassured, “I have enough to pay for the both of us.”
“B-but…” you started to protest, but then a waiter approached the two of you, and when he led you in, you knew it was too late to bail. The waiter handed you the menu, and you almost had a heart attack when you saw the prices. By the gods, some of them were more expensive than your entire outfit, and you definitely knew you didn’t have enough to pay this. You tried your hardest not to let your face show your panic, but it was useless.
Tim reached out and held your hand, giving it a small squeeze. “[F/N], it’ll be fine, trust me.” Sadly, you didn’t reciprocate his feelings. However, you didn’t want to bring down the mood, and on a first date no less, so you told yourself not to let it get to you. Ignoring that, the rest of the night went wonderfully. The two of you eased into conversation and all was well. When it was time to end the night though, the worry you submerged suddenly showed itself again, and it was more apparent than ever. The waiter came with the bill and you swallowed. You definitely did not bring enough for this. Tim took it, of course, and he immediately provided the money without batting an eye. You counted several hundred at least.
You felt so horrible.
But Tim seemed so happy, so you decided not to raise your voice once more. You allowed him to escort you to his car, take you home, and even walk you to the entrance of your apartment building. However, you didn’t dare allow him to walk you to your door.
“Thank you for tonight,” you said quietly.
“No problem! I’m glad I could finally treat you,” he responded happily. Your heart warmed, but there was a cold streak that you couldn’t get rid of.
“Drive home safely.”
“Thanks.”
You turned towards the door, ready to scan your keycard to enter, when Tim stopped you. When you turned back towards him, you were surprised with soft lips on yours. It was short and shy.
“Goodnight [F/N],” he murmured, smiling shyly before heading off to his car.
You touched your lips gently, trying to process what happened. When you did though, your felt yourself smiling too.
That smile wouldn’t leave you until the next morning.
If only your relationship had been as wonderful as the first night, but you should’ve noticed right away.
“Tim, you shouldn’t have.” You wanted it to sound endearing, but the statement came out more exasperated than you intended.
“I really want to treat you [F/N],” he said, placing down the last shopping bag.
“This is the… what? Seventh? Eighth time?” You sighed.
“I haven’t gotten the chance to see you much, let me do this for you.” Tim said.
You held your ground though.
“Treating me is buying me… I don’t know, an ice-cream, or flowers, or something. Buying tons of designer clothes probably worth more than everything I own combined is not treating me, it’s more like buying me.” You gasped and covered your mouth after this. You didn’t mean to say that.
Tim grew still and quiet. It was silent for a whole minute, and it was suffocating. He refused to look at you.
“I—I’m sorry. I didn’t mean that—“
“You did,” he interrupted, “that’s why you said it.”
You sighed. “I didn’t mean it like that though…”
“Then how did you mean it?”
You took a seat on your sofa, which squeaked upon bearing your weight. “I just don’t want you to buy me things or think you need to buy me things to make me happy. It just… came out wrongly.”
“But what’s wrong with treating you?” Tim asked sadly.
“Nothing it’s—“ you sighed, “you always treat me though. On our dates, you pay for our meals. Whenever we go out, you always buy me presents, and treat me with expensive gifts. I don’t know what to do with all them… if you want to treat me, all you need is to spend time with me. That’s all I want and ask for.”
It wasn’t the first time you two argued about this—well, argue as in you telling Tim to stop and him saying he would but not actually stopping. You adored Tim with all your heart, but you felt horrible every time he bought you something new. You understood if it was the first few weeks of the relationship, but after three months, you thought he would learn of your tendency to avoid… well… expensive things.
“I’m sorry,” he murmured, his eyes downcast and his mouth turned downwards. Oh how you hated that look. It just made your heart twist.
“No… no don’t be,” you said, “I’m sorry too, for being harsh.”
You held out your hand, and he took it without hesitation. The two of you pulled each other close, meeting in the middle. It was like a metaphor of what you hoped the relationship would be—you and him meeting on the border of your two different worlds, two different personalities, two different people. But Tim leaned a little too hard and pushed you back, and you pushed back to keep your balance.
“I hate arguing with you,” you said.
“Me too.”
You glanced at all the bags he brought up to your apartment, mentally sighing at your ever growing closet collection. Still, you knew you shouldn’t be too hard on your lover who is only wanting to convey his love for you. You two just had different ways of loving, that was all. Yours was… time spent together, while his was… presents.
The problem was, as more presents piled on, you grew restless and feel the need to give back. You hated that feeling. Perhaps it was a result of living in this city, where nothing was free and everything had a price. You couldn’t help but feel like Tim’s gifts had prices as well, prices you couldn’t repay. It was why you wanted him to stop, but he couldn’t seem to understand that.
But you were optimistic. Tim was always caring and considerate. Perhaps he felt he owed you too, for love. That was why he kept giving you things and treating you. You were optimistic in that maybe, in the future, you and him would come to a mutual understanding and he would stop gifting you presents.
The perfect balance in the middle.
You stared at the food in front of you, the last of its warmth leaving it as the minute ticks by. The sounds of the city, barely contained by your thin walls, were all that accompanied you as you sat in your apartment, alone.
Tim had promised that he would come.
He promised this time.
With a heavy sigh and a grumbling stomach, you grabbed the meal you made and popped it into the microwave. Your eyes burned but you refused to allow yourself to cry.
It wasn’t the first time.
You knew it wouldn’t be the last.
It has been a little over a year since you and Tim started this relationship, and things hadn’t gotten better for you. There would be moments, of course. Moments where he held your body after a restless night, where the two of you enjoyed the silence in each other’s company, where the two of you spent the whole night up watching movies, where he would take you on midnight adventures to the outskirts of the city. But… despite all that, there were more nights of loneliness, more unanswered calls, more rain checks as he prioritised everything above you, and an apology in the form of a gift would always follow. You hated it but he made it a habit.
How did it get to this?
Was it you?
Was it him?
And could it be salvaged?
The beep of the microwave interrupted your thoughts. You grabbed your reheated food, brought it back to the table, sat down and began to eat. As you were halfway through HIS meal, a notification from your phone appeared.
I’m so sorry [F/N], I can’t make it tonight :( Something urgent came up with the family that I have to take care of.
You sighed. Always something urgent—with work or family or something. It’s always an excuse. You decided not to respond to him. You were tired.
But then again, Tim is an important figure. Not only was he a public figure, he also has a lot of responsibilities within one of the largest companies in the world. Not to mention his family is quite high profile, and close, so he had familial obligations to attend to no doubt.
You played with the remainder of your food.
He hadn’t even introduced you to his family.
You wondered if anyone knew. Tim tried his best to keep you away from the public eye and business. You understood that he was worried about the impact of it on you.
But you were an aspiring artist. You should be prepared for this. Sure, you only had a few big gigs here and there, with the largest being the opening to a charity event, but you were slowly making a name for yourself. You knew that your career choice could expose you to the media and the public, and you were prepared for it. So why? Why did he keep you a secret?
Could it be… he was ashamed of you?
You shook your head. No… no that couldn’t possibly be it. It was Tim you’re talking about. Your sweet Tim, who always reminded you of his love and devotion to you. Tim, who no doubt brought out the best of you. Tim, who saw only the good in you.
He couldn’t be ashamed of you.
Your phone rang. You already knew who it was.
“Hello?”
“[F/N], hey,” Tim’s voice sounded familiar through the phone, “I wasn’t sure if you got my message but something urgent came up—“
“No I got it,” you interrupted.
“Oh… are—are you angry?” He asked hesitantly.
You took a while to answer. “No… no I’m not… just disappointed, that’s all.”
“I’m so sorry. I know you were looking forward to this.”
“It’s okay,” you said, the lie slipping effortlessly out of your lips, “maybe next time, yeah?”
“Yeah.” He sounded relieved. “I got to go now… I love you [F/N].” Unlike other times, it didn’t make your heart swell.
“Love you too.”
Why was it getting harder to say it?
You prepared for it.
You prepared for the moment.
You prepared for the questions, the tears, the way he cried as he asked why, and those beautiful eyes of his, once so full of joy, now full of confusion and sadness.
You prepared for it, but fuck did it still hurt.
It really was inevitable, your parting.
You loved Tim with all your heart, but you couldn’t love him in the way that you used to anymore. You began to expect the disappointment, his absences, his apologies. You grew used to it. It was as if you were single again. And when he was there, you didn’t feel the same butterflies in your stomach.
You stopped denying it. You stopped being optimistic and finding excuses and started to face the reality.
“I’m truly sorry Tim,” you said, refusing to meet his eyes, “but my decision is final. I want to end our relationship.”
As Tim left your apartment, the relationship flashed before your eyes. You recalled the first time he walked through the door of the cafe, his nervous smile and his charming demeanour. You recalled that one rainy day where the two of you talked for hours, late nights texting him, your first date, his first gifts, cuddling him all night and day and your adventures through the city. Each place in your apartment held a memory of him.
But somewhere along the way, he became more absent and the memories grew dark. It became waiting for him, being left on dates, him not showing up, his secrets and his tendency to prioritise everything else but you.
You understood that he had a life. You did too. But perhaps that was why it was never bound to work.
He was in a different place in his life. He was busy with his family and his work, and he couldn’t make room for you. And to be honest, you didn’t want him to. You didn’t want him to sacrifice his family or work for you. You didn’t want him to sacrifice anything. To ask that of him would be so selfish of you, and as selfish as you were, even you knew that was wrong.
As for you, a person who valued time over everything else, his inability to make time for you was difficult. He gifted you of course, but gifts meant little to you after a while, especially as they were so frequent. They lost their meaning. It was like the word “sorry”. He always gifted you something as an apology, and while he made the effort to do that, you just wanted time with him. As someone who was always busy, he couldn’t do the one thing you wanted.
It damaged what you two had, and that damage became irreversible.
Part of you suspected that this went on for so long because you loved the way he made you feel. He made you feel loved of course, but you also loved the person you were when you were with him. You loved the person he saw you as. As someone who had been met with nothing but failure since coming to Gotham City, he was the first person who made you feel like anything but a failure and you clung onto that for a little too long, chasing that high.
So in that sense, you’re also accountable for the damage of the relationship.
You still loved him, of course. You always will. But he needed to focus on his life and you should focus on yours. You hoped that one day, he would be in a place where he had room and time for a lover, and he wouldn’t need to sacrifice anything. You hoped that he found someone that spoke his love language, that understood his form of love and made him feel the same way that he made you feel.
You hoped for the best for him.
But as for you… you had to close the door between you two.
So, with one last glance at his disappearing figure through your apartment window, you closed your eyes, took a deep breath, and turned around, pushing Tim out of your mind for good.

Trickster: an Ethari theory
I've had yea many Ethari headcanons, and I hope I live to have yea many more. Most of them are probably wrong, or incomplete at best. But boy are they fun.
I love to wonder what Ethari will really be like in canon when we get to know him for more than 3 minutes, but whoever he really is on his own, he will have an effect on Runaan , Rayla, and everyone who loves him, because they love him.
The first headcanon I can remember having for "Tinker" was that he could be like Leonardo da Vinci: a genius, creative, surrounded by beautiful ideas given shape by his hands, but also capable of creating deadly weapons, enchantments, and devices with equal beauty, and perhaps not really seeing where the line between them was. It was fun, but Ethari has ended up far softer than my headcanon, and I love and support him in his softness!
After a nice string of Ethari headcanons, this year I've started poking at the Trickster archetype and seeing if it applies to him. And I think it absolutely does!
Tricksters often seem like Chaos. But they're not. They're just Difference. "Chaos" is subjective. Like the "divergent" in "neurodivergent." Who says? Divergent from what, exactly? Perspective matters, and Tricksters have a very broad take on things which allows them to think outside any box people might try to invite them into.
My enjoyment of Loki has brought all kinds of ideas to my dash with the arrival of the Loki show. I've got a copy of the Edda, and I highlighted the hell out of it a couple of years ago as I searched for the roots of Loki's origin story. (It's truly fascinating reading and the symbolic language hidden inside their poetry is dazzlingly amazing and I'm super using it sometime just so you know)
Loki is a Trickster, and he's far from alone in myth and legend. Anansi, Coyote, and Sun Wukong are some you may have heard of. Aaravos is another, of course. Tricksters can be called upon to lend aid and wisdom when the rules don't have an answer for some extraordinary circumstance which the Trickster's people find themselves in. But that's not because they are truly outside the rule of order. They are actually a part of it. They are the catch-all for when the everyday ordinary rules fail people, and something "unthinkable"--in the literal sense--might just hold the answer.
This post crossed my dash today, and something finally clicked in my head, and all of this coalesced from what felt like separate places. But they're not separate, not anymore! Serotonin, baby. It's basically upped my headcanon to a full-blown theory.
What caught my eye was an answer to why Ethari's clothing is so determinedly asymmetrical, compared to Runaan's specifically, but Moonshadows in general. It's because of this:
Long protective sleeves below patterns on shoulders. A high collar paired with a bright and noticeable swoop around the neck. Fine detailing and graceful taste. Asymmetrical tunic point on the left, below broad strappy leather. Knee high boots with stylish protective gaiters.
And let's not forget the curling horns! In some comics, Loki has a broken horn. So does Ethari.
Yes, there is a lot of similarity here, but I'm not focused so much on the visuals as the reason they were chosen. Feel free to consider other aspects of Ethari's personality and how they might be similar to certain parts of Loki's. I did! But I wouldn't be me if I didn't go deeper than that.
My favorite book in the universe (so far) is Lois McMaster Bujold's The Curse of Chalion, and one of the many reasons why is because of her pantheon. It holds five gods, represented by a hand: Father, Mother, Son, Daughter, and Bastard. The first four all have their roles and places. The Bastard--the thumb--inherits everything else. He is the god of all things that do not belong to any other gods, and that includes self-sacrificing vengeance and queerness. He is a Trickster, and his influence on Cazaril's life is far deeper than at first glance. Chaos has its place. It belongs, and so do the Tricksters who engender it. God, I love this book. Please read it if you haven't. Bujold's work is amazing.
If you've seen or read any version of MDZS/Untamed, you know that Wei WuXian is a trickster. Competent and badass in battle, but playful and teasing to the point where sometimes even he isn't sure what he truly wants, he can bring a massive amount of power and focus when he wants to. It's always a matter of "but is it important to me?"
I love WWX so much. The Trickster vibe is very apparent in his character, and in a way you just don't get in Western media. We see him on his own, and we see him with family and loved ones. And he's always feeling something so intensely! He's driven by his emotions, for good or ill. He vibes with chaos, and he will create it if it doesn't exist yet. But he will also create family from nothing, and that's something you don't see enough of! WWX is a Trickster with an emotional preference for joy.
In TDP, Ethari doesn't have a lot of lore yet. It's being Moonshadowed because spoilers for future seasons, and I respect that. The longer the wait for S4, the more ideas I will just amuse myself with in the meantime--and yeah, this is one of them, so what? :))) But we do know a little about him.
He loves music. He loves to read. He leaves his mark on things in swirly form. He works very hard, even through headaches, because what he's doing is that important to him, even though he would much rather be making jewelry. He loves taking the time to polish rough stones into brilliant jewels, and he adores big pretty flowers and had them at his wedding.
Ethari has a temper, but he also loves puns. The weapons he crafts are exquisite: "light, elegant, strong, and clever." And he knew darn well that Runaan was trying to flirt with him, but why return a sentiment he may or may not feel yet when he can play with the overly earnest assassin just a little bit first?
Okay, just... A "simple craftsman" deciding that it's going to be fun to toy for a bit with a broody assassin's feelings? Would you risk that? Ethari got balls the size of the moon, and a brain to match. When he has to make weaponry, he does not half-ass it. Ethari's stabby creations nearly have a life of their own. His creations are literally called "trick weapons." This elf is a lot, okay. And it's possible that he doesn't even know how "a lot" he is. Yet.
We're meeting Ethari after he's found something that is, in fact, genuinely important to him: Runaan, and Rayla, and Laindrin too. Ethari has found a relatively stable place to settle and find a role to adopt. I say adopt, though, because making weaponry for his loved ones is not what he grew up wanting to do. It's what he had to do to keep them safe, once he found a place to bestow his heart.
But in the show, Ethari has lost his family, one by one. First Lain and Tiadrin, ghosted. Then Runaan, supposedly fallen on his mission. Then Rayla, ghosted for abandoning Runaan. He and Rayla have reconnected now, but the rest of his family is still out of his reach. If Rayla has indeed told him, by S4, what she learned at the Moonhenge in TTM, then Ethari may parallel Rayla's journey to seek answers. But even if he doesn't know yet, and gets pulled into some other story arc first, we will be seeing Ethari without his family.
Remember the ATLA episode "Zuko Alone"? Consider: "Ethari Alone."
Ethari has chosen, for love, to fit himself into a box that wasn't of his own making. And now that box has broken. His family doesn't need him to be their craftsman anymore. Perhaps others will need him to be other things to them. Or perhaps he will know that his family does need him, but to be far more than just a maker of pretty swords. A rescuer, perhaps. A healer, a guide? An avenger?
A trickster. Capable of taking many shapes, because he understands them all. Ethari works with form and function. If he needs to transform himself, he will.
That's what Tricksters do. It's delightfully queer and delightfully neurodivergent. Ancient peoples accepted and revered the different among them and actively sought their help with things they themselves struggled with.
Tricksters are Difference. Sometimes that manifests as chaos, sometimes as genius. But if you do not love and appreciate your chaos, it will absolutely turn on you. Wei Wuxian did. Loki certainly has, many times. Perhaps Aaravos is doing so as well.
I cannot wait to see what Ethari does with his difference. I have something very specific that I hope he goes and breaks.
All this from a picture of Tom Hiddleston in his Avengers 1 Loki costume? Yeah. Because Ethari was designed to wear asymmetrical clothing, in a Moonshadow culture that prides itself on balance. Sure, there are some other Moonshadows who wear this or that asymmetrical item, and I do love to see it. But Ethari has the most asymmetrical lines of them all. The meta glee I feel knowing that Moonshadow elves are designed to hold many layers of meaning in their appearances--that the writers, creators, and character designers just flexed with them--is truly a delight.
Ethari is asymmetrical. The full and practical application of that is a glass casket, and I hope it becomes a gift that keeps on giving, because boy do I want to keep receiving it. But right now, I'm genuinely seeing evidence of the Trickster archetype in him. And I really hope it gets to come out and play.

Omega Mine
TITLE: Omega Mine
CHAPTER NO./ONE SHOT: 20/?
AUTHOR: nekoamamori
ORIGINAL IMAGINE: Loosely based on: Imagine Loki discovers the Avengers have an omega who has healing powers living with them. He’s an Alpha and he wants her, badly.
RATING: M (eventually )
NOTES/WARNINGS: Also on AO3 click here
“Elskling? Are you going out?” Loki asked when you came into the common room on the day of the press conference. He had looked up from his book automatically when you came into the room, his Omega’s presence drawing his attention.
It wasn’t hard to tell that you were going out. You were dressed properly for once. Including shoes, which were the bane of your existence most of the time. You generally only wore fuzzy socks on your feet at the most. You were also dressed nicer than the lounge clothes you usually wore around the tower.
You saw the concern in Loki’s eyes. He was still grounded to the tower and couldn’t go out with you if you were indeed going out. He didn’t like the idea of his Omega going out without him. He couldn’t truly protest if you were going out alone, at least no more than any Alpha could in relation to an Omega in their pack. He hadn’t officially claimed you yet, so he only had so much say over your life. It seemed like only a matter of time.
You nodded to answer his question. “Yes, Talia and I are going out to get our hair and nails done before the press conference tonight,” you explained. You’d chosen a buttoned shirt for that reason, so you wouldn’t mess up your hair later when you changed into your dress for the event.
Loki considered that, his instincts warring with the knowledge that you were safe with any of the team members. “Lady Natasha will be accompanying you?” He confirmed.
You nodded again and gave him a gentle look as you finally came all the way over to the couch he was sitting on. “Yes. She’ll be with me the whole time and she’s driving,” you placed a hand on Loki’s shoulder as you spoke, reassuring him with that bit of physical contact.
Loki stood and wrapped his arms around you, pulling you into his arms. He nuzzled you, scenting you as he did. It was an Alpha’s protective nature driving him to do. It was a way to claim you without the permanent bond, to tell any Alpha you came across that you were under the protection of an Alpha. His scent and physic scent were strong, not that he smelled bad. He smelled amazing, like parchment, mint, magic, and the crispness of a winter’s day. But it was more than the physical scent. It was a physic scent as well, a practically magical communication that indicated the physical and mental strength of the Alpha in question. Loki was a god. He was beyond strong and his scenting you would warn any Alpha you came across to stay away from you.
He pressed a kiss to your hair. “Much better, Elskling,” he purred softly, relaxing when you were properly scented and smelled like his. You were used to such behavior. When the Alphas on the team were feeling overprotective it made them feel better to scent you as a member of their pack. You knew this was more. This was a claim. It wasn’t a permanent claim, but it was a claim nonetheless.
“We’ll be alright, Loki,” you promised him.
“Be careful,” he replied softly.
“She’ll be safe with me,” Nat promised as she came into the room to meet you. “We’ll be back in a couple of hours,”
Loki hesitated, then gave you another nuzzle to make sure you were properly scented before he let you go. “Have fun, Elskling,” he said. He was reluctant to let you leave without him to protect you, but he knew you were safe with Nat, and he wouldn’t keep you from having a life.
You leaned up and kissed his cheek. “We will!” You told him brightly and headed over to Nat to leave the tower with her.
Loki’s hand rose to his cheek where you’d kissed it, a light purple blush to his cheeks, and a shocked look on his face at your bold gesture.
He definitely liked it and you practically heard him purr as you left.
*
You enjoyed your trip out of the tower with Nat and got your hair, makeup, and nails done for the press conference. The team loved doting on you and spoiling you, so they were eager to make sure you had the very best for any event you had to attend. And you never had to do your own hair or makeup. Not a single Alpha dared cause any trouble, despite you not being claimed, thanks to Loki’s scent surrounding you.
You made it back to the tower and reassured Loki that you were home safely before you headed up to your apartment to get dressed. Nat had brought her dress for the evening to your apartment as well, so you could get ready together. “Are you sure Loki’s going to like it?” You asked her shyly as she zipped up the back of your evening gown for you. There was no denying that you liked Loki, liked, liked him.
“He’ll love it, Meimei,” Nat promised warmly.
The gown was gorgeous. It was mostly black, but when the light hit it, the top layer shimmered green. It was tasteful, not too revealing as was proper for an Omega, but fit to you, making you look amazing. Your jewelry was tasteful. Necklaces weren’t popular for Omegas, because of the collar you had to wear, but you had a simple gold bracelet and gold drop earrings.
Nat helped you with the finishing touches and to put on your heels. She was wearing a black and red gown for the evening and looked fantastic as always. You felt inadequate next to her. “You look amazing. He won’t be able to take his eyes off of you,” she promised.
You thanked her for her kind words, and nervously headed down to the common room with her to meet up with the boys. They insisted on being inspected before the press conference to make sure they were presentable. Apparently, it was necessary when Thor was concerned as he wasn’t used to Midgardian attire.
You stepped out of the elevator and the boys all turned to you and Nat. They all had appreciative looks on their faces and gave the expected compliments.
You scanned the room and easily caught sight of Loki. He was standing a bit apart from the others, dressed in an all black suit, with black tie, and black dress shirt. It could only be described as a black suit of sexiness. You watched as his eyes caught on you, as he looked over you and your outfit. You saw the appraisal in his expression and waited with bated breath for his verdict.
His appraisal turned to approval and what you read as lust in his eyes.
Nat was right. He couldn’t take his eyes off of you.
He strode over to you with his usual feline grace and took your hand, bowing over it and kissing your knuckles in a romantic, princely gesture. “My lady, you look absolutely radiant this evening,” he purred, making your heart flutter as your breath hitched.
“Thank you, Alpha,” you managed to finally reply when you found your words again. It was the proper response, but you could tell that Loki heard the distinction in the words, the word you left unsaid. He heard what you didn’t say and absolutely loved it.
While you had said ‘thank you, alpha’ aloud, what you had really said, even without the missing word was ‘thank you my alpha’ and that made all the difference.
