In Paper Mario: Sticker Star, there is an extremely easy way to accidentally receive a Game Over simply by jumping next to a tuft of grass in the Damp Oasis stage, causing Mario to fall out of bounds into the void.

While in previous games in the series, falling out of bounds merely caused Mario to be reset to the beginning of the area and potentially lose a single HP, the punishment was dialed up severely for this game, giving the player an instant Game Over instead.

Top: previously, I have posted an unused animation found in the files of Paper Mario: Sticker Star that depicts Mario in a quadrupedal position.

Bottom: dataminers have determined that this animation was actually planned to be used for scrapped Koopa Shell and Bowser Shell stickers, which would have protected Mario from enemy attacks (and presumably also damaged enemies in the case of the Bowser Shell) when worn.

paper luigi is one of the funniest iterations of a character ever. he wants to go on a big adventure like mario so desperately and the one game he's given a major role in fucks him up so bad that for the entirety of the following one he just lurks in the background of secluded areas and fucking bolts like a skittish prey animal everytime mario and his new little fairy companion try to approach him
