HWB 2025 - Truth or Dare

"I dare you... to kiss the former king of High School," Robin challenges dryly at the blond out-of-season lifeguard, smack-dab in the middle of Nancy's Christmas party.

Billy raises an eyebrow. He looks at the circle of the truth or dare players around him, all bored out of their minds after graduation, stuck at that limbo between the freedom of graduation and not knowing what comes after. His eyes land on Nancy, sitting right across him. "Uh... double dipping, Buckley?"

Nancy waves him off with a small smile. "All in the past. Don't you have someone to kiss?"

Billy looks at Steve sitting right next to him, quiet the whole time. "...Pretty boy, you wanna suck face?"

Steve mouths a small thank you at Robin, who surreptitiously set them up, all in a day's life for Hawkin's best wingman. "Sure, whatever. I'm cool with it,"

Billy shifts closer to the former monarch, surprisingly gentle with his touch as he touches the sides of Steve's face with the tips of his fingers.

He leans in close, Steve not fighting the distance closing between them.

To say that this was the best christmas of Steve's life would be an understatement.
