Are you a yay or nay to polin next for bridgerton??
I'm somewhere in the middle. They're on the lower end of my list of all the couples but I'm also sick and beyond of the Whistledown plot and so I'm rather glad that Penelope being the next lead would likely retire that plot in the end. I am also sick of the Featherington's after having endured their humongous b plot in S2 and so the sooner she goes, the sooner we get rid of any genuine focus to her mother and sisters. I'm not over the moon about it since I do love Sophie but I ain't mad at it either.

Sweet, charming with a soft smile on her face, clever and gentle with most.
She tends to be very helpful and always tries to see the other person’s perspective.
As her brother rules, she’s in her corner of the palace reading and writing, setting up events for others in the land to attend, and getting fitted for certain items of clothing.
— Lady Alexandra ‘Lexi’ Banner 🍏
Tumblr media
One wouldn’t think she’s upper class like her brother and nephew due to the way she acts and dresses, but she is.
Always told to say quiet, sit straight, talk when needed and act pretty like she’s romanized by the lifestyle.
Carries around a small pet, like a dog per say, since she’s found nearby the gardens.
She tends to have a bit of a temper, getting twitchy at times and playing quietly with her nails, listening to other people speak.
Not interested in falling into any man’s arms that walked past her. Mostly because she’s unseen by most at parties, so the girl will find herself nearby the treats table.

I love all the world building and relationships you’ve written about since starting Bridgerton & Sons but Kate and Gregory still hold the specialist place in my heart...can I tempt you with quickly revisiting them?
Kate and Gregory are... without a doubt my favourite Kate + Bridge Sib interaction that I’ve written about or in canon. Absolutely no need to tempt me into revisiting them. And I’m more than likely gonna add some Lucy and Gregory in there because I love and adore them, and I miss writing about them!
Gregory Bridgerton had known from the very first time he met Kate Sheffield that he liked her immensely. She was the only person he’d seen (their mother aside) tell Anthony that no he absolutely could not have his way all the time just because he wanted it. And it made Anthony absolutely wild. And yet even as intimidating as she was, Gregory saw the kindness she treated everyone else in the office, the way she seemed to draw everyone in around her like moths to her warm personality. That didn’t make him any less intimidated by her though, and so when, a month into his employment Anthony had passed him a stack of memos and said, I need you to give these to Sheffield and watch her read them. She can’t keep ignoring them forever! Gregory had loitered nervously outside her office door even after Lucy had told him it was fine to go in. After a minute Lucy had tutted and rapped smartly on the door before she said Kate, Gregory for you. Opened the door and thrust him inside. Kate had looked a little startled as he’d entered, her eyebrow raised as she leaned back in her chair, her mug frozen halfway to her mouth. Gregory had nervously shuffled in, adjusting his glasses as he said Miss Sheffield, Anthony needs you to look at these memos and a little smirk had appeared on her lips and she’d said You can leave them there, thank you Gregory. I’ll email him my thoughts. And Gregory had shifted nervously again unsure how to say what he had too. Kate had laughed brightly and said He told you to watch me read them didn’t he? And Gregory had nodded nervously his eyes darting around the room ad Kate had hummed and then startled him by saying Gregory, Do you like apple turnovers? His eyes had flicked back to hers as she set her mug down pulling the memos towards him and nudging a little brown paper bag towards him If we’re going to be in here for the next few minutes together it only seems right that we share it. And Gregory hadn’t been able to stop the smile that had spread over his face as he’d sat in the chair across from her and 15 minutes when he’d left he’d felt that Kate Sheffield was someone who could be his friend.
And friends they were. But Gregory couldn’t help but notice the way his brother’s eyes would always flick to Kate whenever she stood laughing with Lucy and him. Or when she smiled at Stephanie the paralegal. Anthony would stand, a little transfixed until Kate moved away or he was interrupted. Eventually Gregory took it upon himself You could just talk to her you know. He said as they left the staff meeting one week and Anthony had huffed, his eyes sliding from Kate who was running her hands absentmindedly through her hair as she laughed at something Lucy was saying. Who do you mean? And Greg had scoffed unwilling to let him get away this easily Kate. It’s obvious that you like her and she’s my friend and I think you’d- Anthony closed his office door with a sharp Go and ask your friend Kate if she plans to do any work today Gregory did not move from his seat but laughed loudly.
Kate knew something was wrong as soon as she walked into the office that Wednesday. Lucy and Gregory usually stood, even before they were dating, practically chest to chest as they whispered and laughed together waiting for Kate and Anthony. This morning Gregory stood by the lift, and Lucy stood on the other side of the reception desk, her back pointedly turned towards Gregory who was looking a little longingly at her, and more than a little like a kicked puppy. Lucy is everything alright? Kate had said gently as Lucy had joined her to review the day and she’d been greeted with a tight smile and an Of Course. Kate couldn’t help but think Clearly.  By lunch time it had reached breaking point. The tension in the office was worse than it ever had been between her and Anthony and Kate had had quite enough. Gregory, we’re going to lunch. She said sharply, looking at her fiancé’s startled younger brother spring from his chair and follow her from the office. Kate distracted him as they walked down the street talking about the discussion on a Harry Potter podcast she’d started listening too and made her move when they sat at the tiny table So what happened with Lucy? And his whole body seemed to deflate as he groaned I have no idea? We were just talking and she said something about Hermione and I agreed and then she just went really... distant and I asked her what was wrong but she just... went home and now she’s still being distant this morning and I just- He finished, his head falling into his hands and Kate’s heart clenched What did she say about Hermione? the suspicion that she knew what this was about creeping in And Gregory shrugged I honestly don’t remember something about how her Uncle liked Hermione because she was pretty and he thought her brother needed a- Oh Fuck!  Gregory said his mouth falling open in understanding his eyes looking more than a little devastated. Kate hummed sympathetically Greg, Honey, You know I love you, but you can be just as dense as your brother sometimes. It’s possible that Lucy might feel just the tiniest insecure when it comes to Hermione Gregory’s mouth had fallen open to protest and she’d said I know that you love Lucy and so does she, she might just need a little reminder. And when they’d arrived back at the office half an hour later, despite Kate’s best counsel that Gregory should calmly discuss this with Lucy he practically sprinted from the lift through the office pulling her from her chair ignoring a little squeak of surprise as he crashed their lips together before practically yelling Lucy, I love you and every time I see you I have to catch my breath  Kate’s heart had leapt for her poor sweet Brother in law as Lucy had looked a little embarrassed though more than a bit pleased as she said gesturing awkwardly Gregory have you met my brother Richard?

The American black comedy crime thriller A Simple Favor was released in 2018, and its cast members in it are extremely recognizable. The film, directed by Paul Feig from a screenplay written by Jessica Sharzer, is a suspenseful story based on the 2017 novel of the same name, written by Darcey Bell. The movie stars Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick in the main roles, among other notable actors in supporting roles. The plot centers on a small-town video blogger who attempts to solve the mystery behind her friend's disappearance.
A Simple Favor was released by Lionsgate, and the movie garnered critical praise upon its theatrical release. Most critics praised the chemistry of the ensemble cast, and also wrote enthusiastically about the movie's shocking plot twists and turns. The film ended up making $5.9 million on its first day alone, and grossed a total of $97 million worldwide, on a budget of only $20 million.

Indeed, the movie has an impressive cast led by its main stars, Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick. Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, and Linda Cardellini are some of the supporting cast members, as well as Jean Smart, Rupert friend, Eric Johnson, and Dustin Milligan, among other actors.
Tumblr media
Blake Lively takes on the role of Emily Nelson, Hope McLanden, and Faith McLanden in A Simple Favor, and her character's life is the most interesting part of the film. Viewers know Lively from teen movies The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Accepted, Simon Says, and other early-aughts flicks. Later, she appeared in movies ranging from New York, I Love You to The Town to superhero flick Green Lantern, which she starred in alongside her future husband Ryan Reynolds. In more recent years, Lively has appeared in The Age of Adaline, The Shallows, Café Society, and All I See Is You.
Following her success with A Simple Favor, Lively starred in the movie The Rhythm Section in 2020 alongside actors Jude Law and Sterling K. Brown. The movie follows a grieving woman who goes on a destructive path for revenge after learning that the plane crash that killed her family was actually a terrorist attack. To date, that is Lively's most recent role. From 2007 - 2012, of course, Lively starred as Serena van Der Woodsen in the hit show Gossip Girl, for which she won several accolades.
Tumblr media
Like Lively, actress Anna Kendrick, who portrays Stephanie Smothers in A Simple Favor, has been working in Hollywood for several years. She first became a familiar face for her role as Jessica Stanley in the Twilight movies. Following the franchise's end, Kendrick began to take on different roles. She played Natalie Keener in Up In The Air, Janet Taylor in End of Watch and voiced Courtney Babock in ParaNorman. In 2012, Kendrick reached full stardom for playing Becca Mitchell in the popular movie Pitch Perfect. After that, Kendrick appeared in a slew of movies from 2013 until A Simple Favor in 2018, including  What to Expect When You're Expecting, Drinking Buddies, Cake, Into the Woods, the two Pitch Perfect sequels, and The Accountant. She also appeared in the movies Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates and voiced a character in Trolls.

Following her turn as Stephanie in A Simple Favor, Kendrick played Kendra Glack in the 2019 movie The Day Shall Come and portrayed Noelle Kringle in the holiday movie Noelle, released the same year. She also reprised her role in Trolls for the movie's 2020 sequel.

Andre Rannells, who plays Darren in A Simple Favor, began his career in television. He voiced characters on children's shows, like Pokmon and Yu-Gi-Oh!, as a kid, and the early aughts also saw his break into theater. He had numerous roles on the stage, and in 2011 played Elder Kevin Price in The Book of Mormon as an original cast member. From 2014 - 2018, he also had roles in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Hamilton, Falsettos, and The Boys in the Band.
Related: Disney+ & HBO Max Already Have One Thing In Common: Anna Kendrick
Rannells became a familiar face on the screen when he joined the cast of Girls from 2012 - 2017, playing Elijah Krantz in 35 episodes. This role led him to other television parts, including Bryan Collins in The New Normal and Frazier H. Wingo in The Knick, as well as guest appearances in hit shows like How I Met Your Mother and Glee. He also had voice roles in the shows Sofia the First, Welcome to the Wayne, and Vampirina. Most notably, in 2017 Rannells joined the cast of Big Mouth. He continues to play that role into 2021, as well as continues to make occasional guest appearances on other shows. In terms of film — Rannell's most recent roles were in the 2020 films The Boys in the Band, The Prom, and The Stand In. And before appearing in 2018's A Simple Favor, he had parts in 2016's Why Him? and 2015's The Intern.
Tumblr media
Linda Cardellini plays the part of Diana Hyland in A Simple Favor. Cardellini first became a household name in 1999, when she starred as Lindsay Weir in the cult television series Freaks and Geeks. That wasn't her first time in a series, though; throughout the late 1990s, she appeared in shows like Bone Chillers, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Clueless, Step by Step, Promised Land, Kenan & Kel, and Boy Meets World, among other programs.
Post-Freaks and Geeks, Cardellini continued her career in TV, appearing as Samantha Taggart in ER as Bliss Goode and Shelly in The Goode Family. She also had turns in popular shows like Gravity Falls, Mad Men, and New Girl, and took on the serious role of Meg Rayburn in 2015 for 33 episodes of Bloodline. In 2019, Cardellini began portraying Judy Hale in the Netflix series Dead to Me, opposite Christina Applegate.

Of course, many movie watchers know Cardellini's likeness from feature films. She appeared as Chutney Wyndham in Legally Blonde, and famously portrayed Velma Dinkley in Scooby-Doo and its sequel. Cardellini also had parts in Brokeback Mountain, The Lazarus Project, Kill the Irishman, and Daddy's Home and its sequel. Superhero movie fans know Cardellini as Laura Barton, the wife of Clint Barton aka Hawkeye in Avengers: Age of Ultron and Avengers: Endgame. And Cardellini has also starred in critically acclaimed films like Green Book, in which she played Dolores. In 2020, Cardellini portrayed Mae Capone in the movie Capone.
Tumblr media
Actor Henry Golding portrays Sean Townsend in A Simple Favor. Golding has been a presenter on BBC's The Travel Show since 2014. Today's movie watchers primarily know him for playing the role of Nick Young in the hit 2018 movie Crazy Rich Asians, for which he won a Teen Choice Award. He also took on the role of Tom in the recent 2019 romantic-comedy holiday flick Last Christmas. Some lesser-known movies Townsend has appeared in include Pisau Cukur, Monsoon, and The Gentlemen. His most recent project is Snake Eyes, which is in post-production. In addition to being a longtime host on BBC's travel show, Golding has hosted shows including Football Crazy, Welcome to the Railworld Japan, and Surviving Borneo.
Tumblr media
Jean Smart, who played Margaret McLanden in A Simple Favor, is most known for playing Lana Gardner on the NBC sitcom Frasier - a role for which she won two Primetime Emmy Awards. She started her impressive acting career in both film and television in the late 1970s. Some of the notable movies she's appeared in include Piaf, Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey, Snow Day, Sweet Home Alabama, Garden State, Life As We Know It, The Accountant, and, most recently, Superintelligence.
Related: Blake Lively & Michiel Huisman Talk 'Age of Adaline' Science, Harrison Ford & More
Smart has also appeared in television shows other than Fraiser throughout her career. She voiced Helen Ventrix in an episode of Batman: The Animated Series, played Sally Brewton in three episodes of Scarlett, and played Elinore "Ellie" Walker for 13 episodes of High Society. She also gained recognition for playing Martha Logan, the First Lady, in the show 24, and for portraying Regina Newly in 35 episodes of Samantha Who?
Smart was in numerous other television series up until her turn in A Simple Favor, and also appeared in small guest roles in popular shows like Halt and Catch Fire and The McCarthys. In more recent years, Smart portrayed Floyd Gerhardt in Fargo and Melanie Bird in Legion, as well as Arlane Hart in Dirty John, Mimi in Arrested Development, and series regular Agent Laurie Blake in Watchmen.
Tumblr media
Rupert Friend played Dennis Nylon in A Simple Favor. The actor began his career with the 2004 movie The Libertine. He first became a familiar face when he took on the role of Mr. Wickham in Pride & Prejudice. Throughout the early aughts he had several other significant roles, including Sandy Mardell in Outlaw and Demetrius in The Last Legion, as well as Lt. Kurt Kotler in The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas and Prince Albert in The Young Victoria.

TV-wise, Friend is most known for portraying the character Peter Quinn in 58 episodes of Homeland. For his performance as Peter, Friend was nominated for numerous accolades. He also appeared in other shows since the end of Homeland, including Dream Corp, LLC, Strange Angel, and, most recently, Anatomy of a Scandal.

Bashir Salahuddin as Detective Summervile: appeared in the movies Snatched and Gringo, and since then has been in Marriage Story and The 24th. He's also known as a writer on Maya and Marty and for portraying Keith Bang on GLOW and Office Goodnight on South Side.

Of course, viewers have probably seen these listed stars in other movies and TV shows, too. This is a non-exhaustive list of the films and shows that they are most likely recognized from. When all of these actors came together to work on 2018's A Simple Favor, it was a notable project. The movie was praised for its ensemble effort and continues to gain traction among movie watchers today.

With the To All the Boys series set to wrap up this week, it’s time to talk about what the next big Netflix young adult romance adaptation could be—because we now know it’s not going to be The Summer I Turned Pretty. The streamer has been leaning much more heavily into the teen romance genre in recent years, which means some iconic YA romance getting screen adaptations. On that note, it’s recently come to my attention that Anna and the French Kiss, the debut novel from author Stephanie Perkins that follows an American teen to Paris for her senior year of high school, is 20 years old. It’s a foundational text of the genre, and it’s long past time it gets the screen treatment. Now that mainstream content creators are recognizing the power of romance as a genre, where is the Anna and the French Kiss adaptation we’ve all been waiting for?
Anna and the French Kiss follows Atlantan teenager Anna who is unexpectedly informed by her father that she will be attending her senior year abroad at a boarding school in Paris. (The horror!) Anna is pissed. She has a good job at the local movie theater, an excellent best friend, and a swoon-worthy crush—all of which she’ll have to leave behind to attend school in a country where she doesn’t even speak the language. But Anna doesn’t have a choice and, before she knows it, she’s in the City of Light. Of course, during her time in Paris, Anna falls in love with city and its appreciation of cinema, as well as with fellow boarding school attendee Étienne St. Clair. It’s wasn’t a very relatable premise in 2010, when the book first hit shelves, and it’s an even less relatable premise in 2021, when income inequality continues to grow and COVID-19 has kept most people firmly within the borders of their home country, but who wants realism in 2021? We want a romantic, Paris-set fantasy to escape into, one where money flows free, COVID-19 doesn’t exist, and international boarding schools are not only accessible but made for falling in love.
In addition to the built-in fanbase, Anna and the French Kiss has quite a bit in common with recent Netflix success Emily in Paris, which proves there is an audience for this kind of content—i.e. romantic fantasy that isn’t traditionally good so much as luxuriously easy. Ideally, I’d like an Anna and the French Kiss adaptation to aim for the stars, but I also want to recognize the value of having dumb, beautiful fantasy for women to escape into. (Notably, in the case of Emily in Paris, a very white fantasy for a very multicultural city and world.) Although I think much of the criticism directed at Emily in Paris has been warranted, I would argue that the vicious intensity of it is rooted in our culture’s knee-jerk misogyny that devalues and dislikes products made for women. If I had a nickel for every mediocre TV series about a white dude nominated for a Golden Globe, I would still not be able to afford a Parisian boarding school, but I would have a lot more nickels.

That being said, one of the perks of an Anna and the French Kiss adaptation would be the opportunity to update the source material: Race and gender bend characters. Make Anna a little more self-aware and culturally sensitive. And, perhaps most importantly, remove the plot mechanics that pit Anna against Étienne’s girlfriend, Ellie. I have a nostalgic love for this book and genuinely think it could make a great adaptation, but it was written two decades ago in a completely different world and culture—embrace the power of adaptation, and show us a Paris that reflects the Paris of today and a teenage experience that reflects the teens of today.
This all may seem like a somewhat random recommendation to make, given the fact that Anna and the French Kiss is a teen romance novel written 20 years ago, but Netflix is currently hard at work adapting another novel from Perkins, There’s Someone Inside Your House, which is set to drop on the streaming service any day now. In a recent interview with Buzzfeed, Perkins said: “I always joke that There’s Someone Inside Your House is like Anna [and the French Kiss] — but with murder. It’s definitely still my voice, and it even contains a love story. The Netflix movie has been thrilling. I’m so far removed from the process of making it, which means that I get to just enjoy it as an audience member.” If There’s Someone Inside Your House does well for Netflix, they could be looking to adapt more from the novelist, and Anna and the French Kiss is right there.
Past its narrative connection to past and potential future Netflix hits, Anna and the French Kiss boasts what most content-creators look for in an adaptation: franchise potential. I’m not saying Anna and the French Kiss is the next Star Wars, but the series continues with two other teen-centric love stories set in the same world. We get cameos from Anna in both books, but they are largely their own stories, encouraging an anthology-like screen adaptation that could go on well past the source material, if it were successful. Pair a city with a teen romance and you’re good to go. For now, I’ll just continue wishing for an Anna and the French Kiss adaptation that pays homage to the classic YA romance novel while also improving it for our modern world.

Now that Benedict is Season Four?
absolutely horrendous and awful decision, jess is another showrunner that I am not happy with. I said to some friends of mine in a philoise gc I'm in that either S3 did a decent job setting up S4, or an awful one and the verdict is in, they did an a w f u l job. Absolutely nothing and I meaaaaan nothing in S3 set-up Benedict to go next. The dude was barely in the season, where was the development and narrative??? Is it in the room with us????
Also following through on something many fans have clamored for---aka him being bi---and then it immediately getting negated because he's gonna go next was uhhhh definitely a choice. When they get dragged to the pits of hell for making that choice, they'll deserve every bit of it.
Eloise was in S3 brought down to her lowest place, reached mentally the mindset she's in in TSPWL's prequel, hit all her marks to go next and now we've hit a wall and she's being held back. I cannot for the life of me imagine what B plot she could possibly get in S4 that would rival the B plot she just had that was riddled with substance and development. Short of seeing every mf letter back and forth with Phillip---which is what I had BETTER see---there is zero that I think they'll come up with that can compete with the SOLID and hefty narrative secondary plot we just had with her.
anyways; live, laugh, love, chris fulton

Does it ever make you laugh how unflattering they made everyone but the Duke look in s1 of Bridgerton? The hair, the sideburns!, the fringe! I mean even poor phoebe was fighting for her life with those awful dresses and bangs
I mention it all the time that I think it's hilarious that only jonathan and chris got the really long, hideous side burns in S1 when they were imo the most attractive males of the cast alongside Rege. AND SUUUPER AGREED, Phoebe and Claudia had some truly EEEK bangs, like S1 was crazy visual wise in some aspects lmfsksks.

Is it wrong that I feel nothing whatsoever from these Colin s3 photos? The flowy hair and sideburns gives him a glow down. He looked a lot better in s2
Well actuaaaallly I think Luke N look's the best he's ever looked but he's not particularly my cup of tea, no. I'm not that excited either, tbh. I am interested to see how it all plays out though so consider me interested, not so much excited lmao. My bottom three of the series are daphne's book, benedict's, and colin's, not in that order. However, I am firmly in the camp of belief that Eloise is S4 and so under those possible terms S3 would be quite pivotal should that be the case. Penelope getting married is like that catalyst, if. you will, to Eloise beginning her own journey. The two narratives are extremely tied to one another and them giving the friendship this huge angst set-up has really only further cemented my thoughts on who's getting S4.
Also Chris Fulton is lookin killer these days so the sooner we get Sir Phillip, the happier I'll beeeee.

What Philoise things did you notice from season two?
PHEW, WELL LET'S GATHER AROUND!
Okay well beginning with the fact that we even got Phillip back this season is iconic. And not only that but seeing how fractured Phillip and Marina's marriage is already, ooof. I wasn't expecting to see either of the two so soon, let alone see how much they don't get along. Phillip's mega enthusiasm for his area of expertise; botany. Can't forget Amanda and Oliver, of course.
The show very strategically making Romney Hall so close to Aubrey Hall. Also a side note here, the shots of Romney Hall, where in both instances they showed the lake??? That shit was eerie. It was too on the nose for my tastes like I could've done without that but I have a hard time believing it wasn't intentional :(.
Colin meeting Phillip already and getting along so well with him!!! This serves an excellent purpose as in the future, he's the sole member of the Romney Hall squad that doesn't lay a finger on him. This would work as a great reason why.
Colin telling Eloise some variation of 'isn't that what you ladies do, write letters?' I'M---
Eloise knowing who Marina married and not only that but emphasizing the pain LW caused her. Seeing as how they're not distant cousins in this iteration, this is most likely going to be the catalyst to her reaching out to Phillip should they keep That plot exactly as it was in the book. Same goes if they don't and she's written to pass through less tragic means. Eloise knows exactly what Penelope set in motion for Marina and I don't imagine she'll know it quietly.
Also not to be dramatic but Eloise saying "Lady Crane" twice and knowing where Romney Hall is sent me flying into the sun, quite fucking frankly.
Eloise laying in a bed of flowers talking about what she wants for her life. NAH CAUSE THE PARALLEL THAT'S GONNA BE MADE OF THAT SCENE SIDE BY SIDE THE SCENE OF THE HUGE FLOWER ARRANGEMENT PHILLIP DOES ON THEIR BED AT THE END OF TSPWL

Question...I haven't read the books but do Marina's kids stay with Phillip? I don't know why but I just can't see show Eloise's ending being in the countryside with stepkids
In the books they're also his kids which imo never made too much sense to me. Since the reason he's married to Marina is much the same as in the show. I think the way the show's gone about it is a change that actually works, it just fits better imo. But yes, he does have the twins after she passes. It's a high point of conflict in his narrative, his parenting of them, or lack thereof, let's say.
Phillip had an awful father who was very abusive and his narrative really stems from having avoided parenting his children because he's afraid he'll spiral into the type of father that his own was. So he has truly let that fear win over him and he deals with them as little as possible. However, Amanda and Oliver are not a pair to go quietly into the night lmao. So he does often have to deal with them because of their behavior. Behavior that he doesn't realize is a cry for attention and affection.
He's a very lost and sad man, tbh. He didn't want the baronetcy, he didn't want kids, but he's a good person and in filling the hole his brother---who he considers to have been a far better man than he is---left when he died, he ended up with all the above.
That being said, I disagree on Eloise. To begin with, I think that Amanda and Oliver being full-fledged children when she meets them, makes her introduction to children, if you will, a whole different ballgame than her siblings. They're not a pregnancy that she endures as a step two to a marriage she didn't want, or fears. They're not infants who she needs to tend to 24/7. They're two kids who are rambunctious and yearning for company. It's just different. And it is imo the perfect window into motherhood for her specifically, given her hesitance towards it. Hesitance that imo exists because of her rejection of societal norms and fear of the process after having been witness to Hyacinth's birth. So the way they crash into her life is so well-suited for her.
As for life in the country, I don't see why it wouldn't suit her. Eloise really is not a fan of life in London society. The show version even more so than her book counterpart. This Eloise detests the constant gatherings, the mingling, the pressure. The country life is the exact opposite. Not to mention, Phillip is a man who detests London society just as much as she does. If you had to pick one introvert of the whole series, it's Sir Phillip Crane. There's a bit in TSPWL where Eloise gushes about how she likes that Phillip has an actual occupation and work to do, as opposed to the men in London that she grew up around. And her second epilogue has that whole bit about how they never go to London for the social seasons because they would have to leave Phillip at home, lmaooo. I cannot think of a more perfect man for her. Also a side note here because the S2 gave us the content, but Anthony being Big Mad that Kate wanted to go shooting with them just reminds me of Phillip being delighted that Eloise likes to partake and is the best at it. That's no shade or anything, Kate/Anthony is literally my second fave of the series.
This answer got ridiculously long and I'm sorry but those are my philoise ramblings. Totally understood if it's not your cup of tea for Eloise though, but I am quite the fan, haha.

Craziest thing you have seen after bridgerton Season two?
Easily the craziest thing I've seen is the tweets complaining about philoise and phillip crane being like 'nO WAY ELOISE ENDS UP WITH AN OLD MAN, HE'S 30'.
Like I'm---
Tumblr media
Phillip is 30 when he meets Eloise, and she's 28???? So they're meant to be two years apart. And in real life, Chris Fulton and Claudia Jessie are only a year apart and are both over 30, lmao. Like keep your paper boi but if ya'll don't shut the fuck up, LMFSKSKS.
