Back with another alt nex gen parent prompt (I'll drop these every so often but obvi feel free to ignore). Theme this go around = S2 one-and-done unnamed magical characters: Prue/Dragon Warlock [BCWYWF], Piper/Spirit Darklighter [Murphy's Luck], Phoebe/Cupid [Heartbreak City], Paige/Genie [BCWYWF]?

the dragon warlock was lowkey fine as hell honestly tho a little miffed he could not turn into an actual dragon but you know maybe he could and we just didn't see it because it wasn't relevant to prue's journey. anyways if we make him less evil because quite frankly if nineteen year old prue had sex with him (which, if she did, it would be protected sex i just know this i know this about prue even as a rebel as a carefree teen no sex without safe sex! but if she didn't use protection) and got knocked up... Abort It! no one needs that thing from a highly dubious sexual encounter with a man trying to murder you. however, if she shift gears and have him be the first attempt from the triad to get at the girls which, him, draco obviously right that obviously Has to be his name, draco being an overconfident asshole, tries to get at prue first, maybe something to do with a photoshoot and he's hot and he's sexy and he's got her cornered now and omg he's a warlock! but prue's too prepared and does something to nullify him and uses him as her spy. idk she had some spell of something so he cannot harm her (even though he tries) (she just smirks at him when he does and it makes him so so mad he's almost into it) yada yada yada their hatred winds up slipping into affection the triad gets mad and sends someone else and draco kills that demon in front of prue and prue's like ??? and he's like if anyone lays a finger on you it's going to be me. flash forward hmm a year and welcome priscilla halliwell! dragon warlock witch she's an ice dragon calling back to prue's past life resembles her mother with ivory skin and raven hair and her dragon form is a white shimmery opalescent scale but if you get close enough (good luck) to see the flesh underneath the scales, that is actually black - like a polar bear set up. we'll give em three kids because that seems right. posie is a psychic and instead of dragon's flame she breathes out a fume that sedates and compels people do to what she says (kind of akin to the power of suggestion gained through astral projection) and her dragon form is shimmery sparkly purple and kind of resembles the crystal ball emoji 🔮third kid is polly she is a traditional dragon dragon she can breath fire and she has. black scales that shine like an oil slick.

piper/spirit darklighter have two kids the eldest move to LA as is using Bumble Hinge & Tinder as his very successful hunting grounds for evil manipulation. his go to trick? invite them over cook em a lovely dinner love bomb them and then ghost three weeks later. the younger one is on stan twitter and suicide bates people for talking shit about her fav.

to be quite frank i am assigning the same powers to the phoebe/cupid kids as i am the phoebe/coop kids. different names tho and slightly different personalities. persephone philomena and pherenike. "seph" like steph for short, "mena," and "nikki". seph's a daydreamer lovergirl, mena is head down and study but whoops i keep having meetcutes at the library girl, and nikki is a tiny devil who lovessss meddling.

here's the thing about paige and the genie as protrayed by french montana: i hate it. i hate it because she's way out of his league and yet it does not feel out of the realm of possibility. i've seen her taste in men. it's dubious. she might actually go for that. it's going to be a slow-ish burn tho where he hits on her all the time and she just teases him. like it's bullying, but it's not shutting him down, you know? if anything, it's encouraging him. i don't think they would want kids, so it's going to be an accidentally pregnancy and -- i'm just reading the room here -- it's gonna be mpreg. paige is going to be like what the hell do you mean you're pregnant and hes going to be like that's how genies are the male carry the babies! hijinks ensue. beatrix jeannie matthews. conjuror. chaos causer. quirky style, never shuts up, globetrotter.

From chapter 2 of temptation, a vamp!Steph fic I wrote for my dear, dear Harpy. (Would you believe me if I said that this was about them clarifying consent for sex? 😂)

From chapter 3 of Of Magic and Love, a royalty AU I wrote based on a requested prompt.

🥳 Why did you start writing fanfic?

Mainly for entertainment! I also have a very specific genre and preference when it comes to fics, which is unfortunately lacking in the fandom, so I decided to write some on my own!

🔮 Any advice for writers working through burnout or writer’s block?

Oof, writer's block can be quite a tough one. I'm also in a bit of a writing slump lately, -- I haven't touched my latest WIP since two bloody weeks ago, goddammit -- and haven't found any motivation.

Usually these are what get me going on the writing game again:

Read fics you like. I usually do this so I get inspired to write, it really works most of the time! When I read works from other authors, I usually get the urge to write something, too.

Take couple minutes to re-read/add stuff to your plot outline (if you made one already), usually makes feel more productive. Usually that makes me itch to draft out a specific scene.

Look into your inbox!! Comments always motivate me.

👋Intro post! Hey, We're Steph and Kim -- bestie co-authors who love YA fantasy.

Writing together started in high school when we started co-authoring fanfiction for our favorite series like Lord of the Rings, Boondock Saints, and Harry Potter! We won't age ourselves yet and tell you how long ago that was. 🙊

We're currently working on a YA Dark Fantasy trilogy together. The first book is titled The Blight of Blackridge and will be released later this year. Hmm. Well, you know about most of our planned future plots! As for others...

I have a few ideas for where things with @magicmonstersandmischief might go after the Initiation thread we’re working on. But those will depend on how things turn out on the current thread and what we feel like doing. We haven’t discussed much yet beyond the fact that Steph + the Spire has the potential to be terrifying. xD We also have vague plans for a thread with Gerou, Adelain, and Steph once we’re done with the Green Eye introductory thread that Gerou and Steph are currently in.

I also have vague plans with @crewofoddities to do an adoption thread with their young OC Aiko and Diamond once we’re done with one of our current threads. Mostly because Diamond is an absolute disaster of a man and has no business trying to raise children, but he keeps doing it anyway. xD Not so great if it were IRL, but could make for a fun rp thread.

Speaking more generally... I really want to start making a push towards a place where Linast is forced to properly acknowledge some of his own worse qualities, rather than just do his level best to smother them. I think some of that might come up in the Initiation thread, but it’s hard to say how much so. I know one single thread certainly isn’t going to cover all of what I want to see.

I also want to see him... I dunno, healing? Not as in “”fixed,”” because that’s a gross and ineffective concept. But I want to explore him finding ways to feel safer, and I want to see him learn to connect more deeply and honestly with the people around him. I want to see him learn how to express himself without exploding.

Lastly, I could enjoy more threads with Mirian and Ithadel. I love them and I need to promote them more, heh.

💎 - Is your current muse your favourite?

I’m terrible at picking favorites, heh.

Let’s say... Linast isn’t one of those characters that I go around saying “I love him so much” about. But I seem to find him the most satisfying and engaging to roleplay in the longterm. Diamond is one of my favorites in a similar fashion.

But it’s sort of a feedback loop at this point, y’know? They’re the most engaging for me because they’re the most developed and complex, and they remain more developed and complex than my other characters because I play them the most often. (...And because they’re the oldest. Anyone from Abime Spire has at least a 5 year lead on any of my other OCs, and in Diamond’s case it’s more like 10.)

👀 - Is there a muse you’re currently looking for interaction with?

Well, like I said, I’m hoping to roleplay Ithadel and Mirian more! Ithadel especially, though. I’ll be playing Mirian in one of my upcoming D&D campaigns IRL, so she’ll see some action there in addition to her thread with Ash. But Ithadel only has the one online thread at the moment.

In the other direction, I think it’d be neat to interact with some of Masha’s siblings a bit more!)
