46245 City of London speeds north through Litchfield Trent Valley with The Caledonian in June 1959. The ex-LNWR signal box behind the train survived until as late as 2008. Just above the locomotive is the chord leading up to the South Staffordshire Line, which crosses above the main line at the station. The chord survives, though single track now and rarely used since the closure of Rugeley power station.
