Some short lived colors -

These colors didn’t last for long this morning. We have snow showers approaching about 30 miles behind me right now. 🙄
This is going to be another “hurricane winds” day here. It is supposed to begin about 10am with gusts hitting 50mph. I hate that, my house always feels cold when the winds are that high. I love how the sky has that puff-ball look right now. The look carries higher up in the sky although it is hard to see in this pic. 🧐
Saw a dermatologist about a sore spot on my ear that started clearing on its own. The biopsy could not determine if it was cancerous but we are going to treat it as if it was. Fifteen minute procedure in a couple weeks. Can’t just ignore these things.
Happy Friday my followers, I can smell the weekend already. 😂

It’s been 0 weeks since the World Cup finale, 17 weeks to go until sgp and 34 weeks to go until next season.
#and we are back 🫠👍#first countdown post is always the worst one#but it will get better just not now or the next weeks#trying to uphold some sense of community with these countdowns#i am not ready for the tag to die#and to not have any comps in the foreseeable future and with that no sj content#I'm fine this is fine#😭😭😭#oh I forgot this is also the first post that gets the offseason tag this is bad#someone sedate me until next winter#yeah I am feeling totally normal about this sure that's a completely healthy reaction#the range of emotions I went through preparing this post#and in case you're wondering I always plan to prepare these posts for a few weeks or the whole offseason in advance and never do it#so of course I frantically open tumblr at 11:59 am on sundays accompanied by muttering shit shit shit and type the post and tags#plans made but chaos reigns#there are no fixed calendars out yet they are usually discussed and approved in the spring meeting in april#but I based this on the last years so it should be more or less accurate :)#ski jumping#offseason2024#sgp countdown 24#actually it's 25 because it counts as part of the new season but that seem awfully confusing so it stays 24 here#sj countdown 24#same with this one technically it's 24/25 but yeaaahhh the season starts in 24 so it's fine

Winter arc 2024
Just taking a moment to think about what me plans are for this winter.
Continue my weight loss until actually finished.
Continue work outs and go to the gym more often.
Fight the seasonal depression, which has been a work in progress since sept.
Study hard and focus on school.
Spend time with Mom.
Remember that whenever the focus is not on me, my attention is in the wrong place.
Continue building boundaries.
Let the friendships go that are no longer serving you.
Make way for new friendships.
Work on new skills. Jiu jitsu, embroidery?
I think that is about it. That is a longish list.

perfect morning routine 💗

1. wake up early (5:30-6:30 am): start the day off with waking up early to make your mornings feel less rushed.
2. hydrate (5 minutes): drink a glass of water to kickstart your metabolism and rehydrate after a night’s sleep.
3. yoga (10-15 minutes): a short yoga session can help loosen muscles and improve blood flow.
4. meditation (5-10 minutes): practicing deep breathing to center your mind and reduce stress for the day ahead.
5. exercise (20-30 minutes): moderate workouts like a jog, bodyweight exercises, or cycling to boost your energy levels and release endorphins.
6. healthy breakfast (20 minutes): aim for a balance of protein, fiber, and healthy fats. (if you take daily vitamins, do it after having breakfast)
7. shower/skin care (15-20 minutes): refresh yourself and do your skincare routine.
8. daily intentions/scheduling (5 minutes): write and/or vocalize your priorities or goals for the day. you can use a calendar or a journal. this will help you with getting all important things done.
all 8 steps do not need to be done every day but consistency brings the best results!! this routine will leave you feeling energized with a clear mind to start the day!!

Protect Your Lungs This Winter: Expert Advice from Shantilal Hospital
As winter sets in, the cold weather can pose challenges to our respiratory health. Your lungs are especially vulnerable during this season due to dry air, pollution, and increased chances of infections. At Shantilal Hospital, we are committed to helping you take the best care of your lungs so you can enjoy a healthy and worry-free winter. Located on Shivam Road, Hyderabad, Telangana, we provide expert guidance and medical care for all your respiratory needs.

Essential Tips for Lung Care in Winter
1. Stay Warm and Avoid Cold Exposure Winter brings chilly winds and dropping temperatures, which can cause respiratory discomfort. Always wear warm clothing like scarves and jackets, especially when heading outdoors. Keeping your chest and neck warm helps in reducing the risk of lung irritation.
2. Use Masks Outdoors Masks not only protect you from pollution but also prevent cold air from entering your lungs directly. Winter air can be dry and harsh, so wearing a mask adds a layer of warmth and moisture, keeping your lungs comfortable.
3. Avoid Dust and Pollution Pollution levels often spike during winter, and dusty environments can aggravate breathing problems. Stay indoors during high-pollution times and use air purifiers if needed. Limiting exposure to smoke, industrial fumes, and allergens can go a long way in protecting your lungs.
4. Boost Your Immunity with a Healthy Diet A strong immune system is your best defense against respiratory infections. Include plenty of fruits, vegetables, nuts, and other immunity-boosting foods in your diet. Vitamins C and D, as well as antioxidants, are particularly beneficial for lung health.
5. Seek Medical Help if Needed Persistent coughing, shortness of breath, or any difficulty breathing should not be ignored. Consult a doctor immediately to avoid complications. Early treatment can help you recover faster and ensure your lungs stay healthy.
Why Winter Care is Crucial for Your Lungs
Cold air can narrow the airways, making it harder to breathe, especially for those with asthma or other respiratory conditions. Pollution, infections, and low immunity further contribute to the risk of respiratory illnesses. Taking preventive measures ensures your lungs stay strong and healthy throughout the season.
Visit Shantilal Hospital for Respiratory Health Care
At Shantilal Hospital, we prioritize your health and well-being. Our expert team of doctors is here to provide guidance, treatment, and support for all your respiratory needs. Don’t let winter affect your health — take proactive steps today.

im ruminating about the expansion draft....would love some rules
#my concern is that unless we make a trade we can't keep our top 7/8 depending#i've said this previously i don't think dt gets protected bc i don't think she announces if she's coming back before the draft#and i don't think anyone would take her out of respect#which leaves bg tash kah and sophie all getting protected#then you have bec which her staying would be reliant on nate wanting to run a 4 guard line up again#but with free agency the likelihood that we could get a strong 4 from the start is higher than it was after the break#and i've been very clear about this i want celeste protected and tbh i think a lot of the team would want that too#bc she's going to get her shot over the winter and it's going to be a game changer#really the 6/7 players are the most important to having a strong team i think#because that's the only way you can have good rotation#if we had to leave mack unprotected the only way that would work is if we pick up another 4/5 like li yueru#bc the goal should be to run the same system regardless of who is on the court and i think mack and li are great subs for bg#but i do still like mack and if she goes unprotected she would def get picked up#back to bec i think a healthy bec allen is worth it but looking at her games played history it's a concern#but at the same time i think if we can get a 4 who can shoot the 3 that would really elevate nate's system#the thing for me is you can't build a roster that falls apart if one person is out#and then you have the potential open 2 spot#i know phnx said they like kp to take over the 2 when the time comes#i don't care to watch the *ces so idk but there really is not someone who can truly replace dt and her bball iq#but i also basically don't watch anyone other than who the merc play so#there's the opportunity to get someone in the draft but with the 12th pick it seems less than ideal then again we got celeste for free#or make a trade for any number of people#but i guess we'll see#really what i want is no expansion draft#but apparently the teams already know the rules
