love being at the climbing gym like yeah im not that flexible and then constantly doing moves matching my hands n feet on the same holds even when completely unnecessary
#half the pictures ppl take of me i have one leg straight and the other at my shoulder height. okay yeah#just looking thru ones ppl have taken recently of me again.. we love being vain n self obsessed#cant wait to get back there on monday i have so many projects rotating in my mind. im always thinking abt them while im at work#.diaries#i flashed a v4 yesterday that was a kind of manoeuvring all your hands and feet onto the same hold and standing type deal#and it felt rly natural to me n then no one else could do it n i felt bad for calling it easy for a v4 i just forgot i can Bend 💀#its mainly only bc im a little younger than some other ppl. and a bit lighter too... and doing years of resistance training has given me#more range of motion than ppl who have histories of different exercise styles/sports#there are ppl who are way more flexible than me ofc but some of them in the group dont have as much core or power.. different stats innit#i figured out a start to another v4 that i was rly proud of too.. just need to get the rest of it next week#but again no one else could even start it my way which was frustrating bc my fave thing is getting to share smth i figured out w someone#so we can joint problem solve the whole thing n both send it... anyway i think its still useful but theyd have to start on the other side#and go up a little in order to come down into the position i had. since its a weird one to get into from the ground bc ur legs are folded#mmmmm....#im so tired i meant to do so much when i got home from work but zzzzzzz#oh welllllll.. itll be a fun weekend hehe going to visit a friend for a few days <3

#alright these tags are super embarrassing but i needed to rant publicly so uh. you can read this but please don't perceive me too much#it is so fucking exhausting having nobody to share my life with#i have literally zero friends at this point bc ever since my grandpa died i've pretty much stopped trying to keep in touch with my hometown#friends and i cut off my 'friend' group that were racist assholes who treated me like a doormat back in october and haven't really made any#close friends at college since. and i just fucking hate that this is the same way i've felt for so many fucking years like you'd think it#would be bearable at this point and i'd be used to being alone and for a while i honestly was but it just hit me tonight how fucking lonely#i am and how tomorrow i have to keep on just doing the shit i have to do in life without anyone to talk to and share it with#other than my mom who's been pissing me off lately so i've been pushing her away too!#it's so tiring to have to go out and do things and have responsibilities everyday and not being able to share that with anyone idk it makes#it feel almost like i'm carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders which is SO dramatic i know#like today i wanted to talk about the stupid false alarm gas leak thing with my sort of friends in this club i'm in but i didn't get to talk#to anyone at the meeting bc everyone was just talking amongst themselves in their little groups of best friends and it just reminded me that#i don't have that and i've never fucking had that i've only ever pretended i had that#it's like all these years i've been pretending to be a person that has friends and knows how to live life normally but i never have#more than anything i just miss my friends from home bc they're the closest i've ever felt to having friends that are like family but. i#don't know how to talk to them anymore. i didn't tell any of them when my grandpa died and i think they just assumed that i've moved on so#they've probably moved on and i already know that they have their own lives and friends at their schools that are a lot more full than mine#wanna know the worst part about all of this? i just had therapy and basically told her everything's fine#and i won't meet with her again until 3 weeks from now so literally the only person i can talk to about this right now is my mom#which i am absolutely not gonna do bc she's gonna get so scared and worried for me and i can't have that rn#anyways yeah. this isn't even that big of a deal like i haven't had friends for at least the past 6 months it's not like anything's changed#i just feel extra sad about it right now. i need a distraction stat gonna go watch watch some tv goodnight#shut up hanna

ID: a tag. #this is actually how the CDC makes decisions i believe / end ID
the CDC has declared THE MIASMA harmless after extensive research by Subway Fresh™ scientists. “if THE MIASMA were dangerous,” say researchers, “no one would be able to Eat Fresh™ this summer”
#ID provided#like i WANT to trust the CDC and shit#but i only trust the explicitly linked sources and only as much as i see actual science agreeing#i do not have the time to check every paper or shit like that but if it's something 'political' enough to need urgent checking#i try to look at what science ppl in the field are saying when they read the papers#and work with my own science background to interpret how bad it actually is based on WHAT types of issues they see#like if they're saying 'hm methodology is standard and results are concerning' then i'm taking shit seriously but realistically#if they're like 'bruh wtf kinda methodology is this' then the whole paper is usually garbage better used to judge the politics#i do not want to be a methodology person. i just want to trust science :(#but alas#reminds me that a friend and i read - for shits and giggles - a paper suggesting that ppl with fibro should soak in baths for pain#among the problems: hm a 6 week 40 person study with 3 baths per week and showing substantial improvement for 6 months. hm.#and oh - what's this? they used the local hot spring baths? hm i wonder- ah that research lab is highly associated with them? wow!#and we're going into some strange analysis of the specific benefits of those springs? curious!#oh and the statistics section... was a single paragraph with no numbers#super super trustworthy ;)#i love when we simply apply ANOVA and tell no one anything#ANOVA is good but like... it requires a normal distribution. you need a much larger sample size to assume normal distribution in data#my stats class used 100 as a baseline but this was gen ed level shit#also if there's something that deviates from your conclusion do NOT just dismiss it out of hand!!! what's ur theory/theories???#aaaaaaaa

Tubbo just did a Q&A for his newly announced Realm SMP!
Here are some key takeaways and highlights from it:
Tubbo emphasized that the "team" behind Realm is just himself and Tangofrags. It's a chill server so friends have a sandbox to tell stories, do lore, and have fun.
Tubbo: "I just wanna have fun with my friends, dude. I'm not trying to be the big 'bringing communities together guy'. I just wanna play with my friends. That's a lot of pressure." (57m 12s into stream)
These are the initial 25 players, but he plans to add more people in the future, and he already has 5 people in mind to add for the next event.
There is NO mod pack! Realm SMP is vanilla, it's just custom texture packs and plugins.
There are no set DND classes, but people can use their skill points to unlock certain things on skill trees and build their own classes. Realm SMP won't be 100% accurate to DND.
Tubbo hopes to have an event every week, but he reminds people to "manage their expectations" because he's only one guy – he can't do events like Purgatory because he doesn't have a massive team like Quackity had for that.
Tumblr media
[ Continued ↓ ]
He has a 6 month timeframe in mind, but if the server fizzles out in a month, then it fizzles out in a month. Realm SMP will last as long as people play it!
There's no plans for an in-game translator because it's expensive and also Tubbo "doesn't want to step on Quackity's toes" :(
Lore is dependent on what the people on the server do, he likes more freestyle flowing RP.
There IS a life system! Players have 3 lives, but it's only "semi-hardcore" because other players can craft an item to bring people back at 1 life. When a player dies, their stats are set to 0 and they go into spectator-mode. When they're revived, they are brought back at 1 life with all their stats back.
The Nether IS enabled, but the End isn't enabled yet because Tubbo wants to make a cool custom boss fight.
There's no big team behind the server, it's just Tubbo and Tango helping him with some things he might not understand (however, he has a team he wants to use for the New Year Event he has in mind). He may look into getting some admins to help enforce rules.
Tubbo says he's happy to do anything himself, but if people really want to be an admin, it'd be voluntary like a Twitch mod kind of deal. (He already has a team of people he goes to for admin stuff, it wouldn't be random people being admins). However, he says if his merch does well, maybe he can get 1 or 2 people to help.
Tubbo says he's been overwhelmed by the amount of support it's received so far, but he's a bit nervous too.
He says the Realm SMP concept came to him in a dream.
Realm SMP will have proximity chat.
Events won’t be all PVP-based because he wants people to enjoy the events even if they aren’t a huge Minecraft player.
The only two banned items are mending books and elytra, which will be tied to future events (elytra can be won in one event).
An hour before the server launches on December 5, he'll be showing off more features.
Please note that many details will likely change / be clarified / updated by Tubbo at a later date!
Check out this post for the rest of his Q&A and more details.

Question: What is Neil Josten's real name
NJ: Neil Josten.
Question: What is Neil Josten exy position
NJ: I'm a starting striker.
Question: What is Neil Josten family tree
NJ: Small.
Question: Neil Josten’s sassiest moments compilation
NJ: That's not a question. Andrew has a lot of those videos saved on TikTok.
Question: Neil Josten best plays
NJ: I think you mean plays best but yes.
Question: What is Kevin Day's dominant hand
KD: I used to be left-handed but now I’m right-handed. A bit ambidextrous but mostly right for right now.
Question: Kevin Day ski accident
KD: Boring, next.
Question: Kevin Day and Theo Muldani
KD: Yes.
Question: What happened to Kevin Day’s hand
KD: It got smashed.
Question: What happened between Kevin Day Neil Josten Jean Moreau
KD: A lot, but that will be staying between the three of us.
Question: Who is Matt Boyd dating
MB: Only the most beautiful powerful goddess of a woman, Dan Wilds. Love of my life. Fantastic woman.
Question: What team does Matt Boyd play for
MB: Right now I am in the middle of a transfer which is public knowledge so I cannot actually answer that but I can say I am trying out for the US Court in the future.
Question: Matt Boyd being in love with Neil Josten for 7 minutes and 23 seconds
MB: This is so real. Not a question but I feel like I’m probably the reason it’s so high on the list. I’ve reposted the video on my socials and it’s also got its own bookmarked tab on my computer. We’re soulmates. Dan agrees. I’m sure Andrew will come around to accepting the fact sometime soon. I just love him. He’s so cute, just like a kitten.
Question: What are Matt Boyd’s exy stats
MB: You’ll have to ask Kevin. I should probably know them but you've asked me and now I can't think.
Question: Who is Matt Boyd’s best friend
MB: Without a doubt, Neil Josten. I would say Dan but she’s the love of my life and we share custody of Neil so it’s definitely him.

OMG CONGRATULATIONS ON 5K MOTHER!!! LY<3 Could I please request 🐻— 'one talking to the other when they think they’re asleep' with our pretty boy Remus where it's the reader talking about Rem🥹
thank you so much, lovie!! <3
Remus Lupin x gn!reader who thinks he's asleep [663 words]
CW: written with a fem!reader in mind but no gender markers used, fluff
Remus can tell that the movie has ended by the deep, definitive breath you take as the credits roll and the music plays.
You don’t move, though, and for that Remus is grateful. It had been quite the week at work; deadlines and meetings and projects, bosses trying to cram in as much progress as they could before the Christmas break, and Remus is exhausted.
He’d barely uttered his “hello” upon getting home before you were suggesting ordering take away and watching a movie. A quiet night in, you had called it. It sounded like heaven.
Clad in comfies and lo mein on a plate, the two of you snuggled up on the couch. Plates ended up on the coffee table, legs were tucked underneath bodies, Remus’ head rested against your shoulder.
And though the world fell quiet, Remus never did fall asleep.
He’d completely melted into the couch at some point during the movie, now curled up on his side with his head on your lap as you card your fingers through his hair. Eyes closed in contentment, breathing evened in his ease.
He loves you.
“I love you.” You murmur softly as if you read his mind, and Remus feels his lips curve into a smile, though his body was simply too heavy to offer you a proper response. “You work too hard, m’love.”
He would have argued with you, or dismissed you immediately if you’d said anything of the sort when he first got home, but now he was trapped and complacent in your embrace.
“Always taking care of everyone else, aren’t you?” Your fingers brush through his hair again before trailing to his shoulder and down his arm as you speak. “You take such good care of me. I wish you’d let me take care of you, sometimes.”
He really couldn’t help it then, he turned his head so he was looking up at you, offering you a warm smile as you tsked at him.
“Not even sleeping when you should be, Rem.”
“You take great care of me, dove.” He argues quickly, rolling onto his back so he could continue staring up at you more easily. “What do you call tonight?”
“I call tonight I was too lazy to cook and then got to watch my favourite Christmas movie.” You offer wryly, and Remus shakes his head reproachfully.
“That’s not true at all. You knew I’d had a day, and made sure I didn’t have to think about anything but sitting my arse down on this sofa.”
Your lips purse as you trace a line down the side of his face with your finger. “That was one day.”
Remus hums in the negative. “No. It’s also the way you just happen to text me everyday around noon, when I happen to be scheduled for a break but usually happen to get too caught up in what I’m doing to realise. It’s also the way you claim that you have to work early in the morning when you notice me growing weary at the pub with my friends so that they don’t tease me for my old man tendencies. It’s the way you let me drone on and on about numbers and stats and editing that I know doesn’t interest you at all, just because you know it interests me. How could you say you don’t take care of me?”
He watches you study his face for a few moments, expression unchanging even when you finally blurt “I liked talking to you better when you were sleeping and couldn’t argue with me.”
Remus’ laugh echoed throughout your flat before he stretched out his limbs with a pleased hum.
“Would you like it better if I went back to sleep?”
“Yes, thank you.”
“See? There I go again,” he starts as he rolls back onto his side and you queue up another movie, “taking care of everyone else.”
Remus’ eyes fall shut at the sound of your tinkling laughter.

A few notes about Realm SMP:
Tubbo hopes to have an event every week and ideally thinks this would be a 6 month server
There's a "level up" system but it will be tailored so people won't be left behind if they can't log in much
Armor and Combat is DND inspired, but it's not 100% accurate to DND
Tubbo looked at the 5 main MCYT communities he's been in / watched and that's the "pool" he chose people from
There's no plans for an in-game translator because it's expensive and also Tubbo "doesn't want to step on Quackity's toes" :(
Tubbo says he doesn't have a lot of Spanish-speaking streamers on his Discord friend list so there was a limit to how many people he could message, but he wants to add more people (he has 5 planned already)
Lore is dependent on what the people on the server do, he likes more freestyle flowing RP
There's no big team behind the server, it's just Tubbo and Tango helping him with some things he might not understand (however, he has a team he wants to use for the New Year Event he has in mind). He may look into getting some admins to help enforce rules
He made it so players can play Realm SMP with default Minecraft, he doesn't want to overwhelm people with too many mod downloads.
There is NO mod pack! Realm SMP is vanilla, it's just custom texture packs and plugins.
Tubbo says he's been overwhelmed by the amount of support it's received so far, but he's a bit nervous too
He says he doesn't have Missa added on Discord but he tried to contact him (?)
No set classes, but people can specify their skill points to unlock certain things on skill trees and build their own classes
There IS a life system (😰) but it's a bit different. There's 3 lives — if you die 3 times you're out, but it's only semi-hardcore because when you die, your stats are set to 0 and you're in spectator-mode, but players can craft an item to bring you back at 1 life and you get all your stats back.
There's no "downing" system, if you die you did, you can't be picked back up like on QSMP
No "keep inventory" on death
There's no limit to the amount of times you can be resurrected (thank god) Tubbo says it would kinda suck otherwise because then people would just get banned off the server at some point after dying x amount of times
The Nether IS enabled, the End isn't enabled yet because Tubbo wants to make a cool custom boss fight.
There will be proximity chat
Etoiles (in chat) asked about armor and Tubbo tells him he'a really glad Etoiles agreed to join, even though he wasn't planning on doing much Minecraft stuff anymore
Streamers can play off-stream
Tubbo says he has a "Badboyhalo Contingency Force" (it's Tubbo and Tango)
Tubbo says the Realm SMP concept came to him in a dream
Mob strength will scale as players "level up"
Deaths to a bug or glitch don't count, but all othet deaths will
Events won't be all PVP-based because he wants people to enjoy the events even if they aren't a huge Minecraft player
Two banned items: mending books and elytra, which will be tied to future events
Tubbo says he's happy to do anything himself, but if anyone really wants to be an admin, it'd be voluntary like a Twitch mod kind of deal since it's just him and Tango. (He already has a team of people he goes to for admin stuff, it wouldn't be random people being admins)
In the hour before the server launches, he'll be showing off server features
He reminded people in the player Discord it's just for fun, the life system isn't meant to be competitive and he doesn't want sweats to be dicks about it since not every player is a big Minecraft player
He has a 6 month timeframe in mind but it'll last as long as people want to play, if it fizzles out in a month then it fizzles out in a month, it lasts as long as people play it.
There will be NPCs "When he gets them sorted" but he's a one-man army doing everything
He reminds people to "manage their expectations" because he's only one guy – he can't do events like Purgatory like Quackity because he doesn't have a massive team like he did.
He says if his merch stuff goes well then maybe he can get 1 or 2 people to help with the Realm project
Tubbo is still answering Q&A stuff on stream right now, but these are the biggest things he's said so far!

So my home ttrpg group is between longform games right now, and I have been planning to bring a bunch of games to them this weekend as options for what we might play next. However, I have been trying to figure out how to talk about the games in a way that doesn't rely as much on me explaining the vibes to them.
I know that people have a bunch of qualitative categories for how they explain games, but I find the idea of saying things like Dark Fantasy OSR, or Lesbian Goofball PBTA less helpful when talking about how games actually play, especially when two games in the same category are like, wildly different in the way they use their frameworks.
So I invented a 6 axis, 1 to 5 star rating scale for TTRPGs that you are free to borrow when talking to groups, or whatever.
TTRPG 5 Star Rating Matrix
Width
What is the scope of this game? Is it narrowly about one thing or does it encompass many types of play? (Credit to friend of the blog @ostermad-blog for this one, they came up with it from my draft)
Weight
How much cognitive load does the player need to bear? Do rules often need to be referenced verbatim? Can those rules fit on a handout?
Wargame
Is the player expected to apply tactical acumen? Is movement tracked tightly or loosely? Does a bad build punish a player?
Writers Room
How much are players expected to make narrative choices and drive the story without the rules scaffolding them? Does this game fall apart without excellent improvisational storytellers?
(Prep)Work
Does this game require a lot of pre-planning by the facilitator? Are there intricate systems to attend to outside of table play? Can I put in the same amount of time as other players and still have everyone leave happy?
Whimsy
Expected tone of the game. Does this game have difficult thematic elements baked in? Is the core subject or role in the game high or low risk?
Here are some games I know well and how I calibrated them:
Tumblr media
I have breakdowns of what each star rating means below the cut if you're curious. Happy Gaming!
Width
⭐ - As written, the game has basically one mode of play, or one thematic core that it meditates on. May have phases, but textural difference is minimal.
⭐⭐ - As written, there are at least two modes of play, but the scope of that play is highly thematically focused or highly dependent on using the game’s own lore. Might have only one kind of character (e.g. Mech Pilot) that it supports. Has limited tools outside of the primary mode of play.
⭐⭐⭐ - Has a variety of modes of play, but may be rigid in their execution. Might encompass multiple kinds of characters (e.g. Doctor, Lawyer, fighter) or character options. The narratives that this game tells within its setting are narrowed, a three word description tells you what kind of stories it can tell with consistency.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Loose framework, but with some kind of thematic grounding. Describing the framework in 3 words doesn’t tell you the kind of stories that the game tells (e.g. Dark Fantasy, Star Wars Romp).
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐- As written, this game is designed in such a way that it doesn’t put specific limits on what sorts of stories that it is meant to tell. It might ask players to define abilities or stats for themselves. The Facilitator is going to pitch a thematic grounding on top of the rules set.
One Star Examples: For the Queen, Dialect, Honey Heist Five Star Examples: Fate Core, Savage Worlds, GURPS
Weight
⭐ - It is reasonable for a player to be able to recite the rules from memory. The game may be prompt based, or driven by a flow of rules that are read aloud as played.
⭐⭐ - Players can hold most of the most important information about the game in their heads, with a page or less of rules reference needed to play smoothly. This reference could all fit neatly on the character sheet if one is present.
⭐⭐⭐ - Everything a player needs to know about the game is visible on less than 3 sheets of reference. Players are more or less expected to know exactly how their own abilities work in precise detail, and are unlikely to make a mistake in executing them.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Players make extensive use of multiple reference sheets to keep rules moving smoothly. No external tools are needed, but players memorizing the details of all of their abilities is taxing.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐- Players and facilitators will prefer to make extensive use of external tools or reference to keep play moving smoothly. Expecting a player to have the exact details of their abilities memorized is not reasonable.
One Star Examples: For the Queen, Stewpot, Mobile Frame Zero: Firebrands Five Star Examples: Dungeons and Dragons 3-5e, Lancer, Edge of the Empire
Wargame
⭐ - As written, this game does not treat combat as mechanically different from any other aspect of play, or does not include narrative violence at all.
⭐⭐ - While players may engage in combat, it is minimally different from regular play. There may be tools or abilities for players to use to conduct a fight, but the texture of those fights is thematic, not mechanical. Narrative and consequence drive the action, not hit points.
⭐⭐⭐ - As written, combat has its own set of rules. This game may have some elements of buildcrafting, but either it is difficult to build something that doesn’t work, or the player may meaningfully invest in other modes of play and still find a commensurate level of satisfaction. If combat occurs, spacing is kept in mind, but is tracked in relative terms (range bands) or highly simplified (zone based combat).
⭐⭐⭐⭐ - This game has buildcrafting that is somewhat mandatory if players wish to survive a fight, but there is still a meaningful choice in choosing a non-combat role. It may use a grid or a spacing system to help players visualize the combat. Fights are driven by mechanics, not by narrative.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐- To enjoy this game, players must spend time buildcrafting. If a player’s build is suboptimal, there may be significant parts of the intended experience that will either feel tedious, or that the player will not have meaningful access to. This game is played on a grid.
One Star Examples: Wanderhome, Dialect, Belonging Outside Belonging Five Star Examples: Lancer, Dungeons and Dragons 3-5e, Valor
Writers Room
⭐ - Players in this game are not expected to provide much in the way of narrative substance. Story is something that is driven by external input or tools, and players are there to imagine and react. The player need not separate the self from the character they play in any meaningful way.
⭐⭐ - The mechanics of this game drive most of the narrative, or else the narrative is set for the players by an external source or player. Players are encouraged to play optimally rather than dramatically, but do have room for expressing the identity of their character within the game’s mechanical frameworks.
⭐⭐⭐ - While the game does provide strong scaffolding to tell a story, the players present are expected to drive the story within those frameworks. The game’s systems create and resolve conflict on their own, but works best when the players are willing to choose the dramatically interesting option even if it mechanically non-optimal.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ - The game provides some mechanical tools that create and resolve drama, but there is a significant expectation that the players are buying into and driving the game’s thematic concepts. Players are the ones deciding what the scenes should be and when to end them, but mechanics still help determine outcomes.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐- The players are expected to drive the narrative at all times. Tools for deciding what scenes to do and when to end them are limited, optional, or vague. There is no meaningful scaffolding that creates conflict or resolution, it is incumbent on those present to manifest those things.
One Star Examples: Alice is Missing, Ribbon Drive, For the Queen Five Star Examples: Wanderhome, Systemless RP
(Prep)Work
⭐ - Facilitators are not expected to do work outside the time at the table. All rules can be read while the game is played. No memorization is needed.
⭐⭐ - This game expects the facilitator to have read the rules in advance, but the rules are so few that they can be run from a single reference sheet. At times, the facilitator must think about and potentially advance and adjust the narrative of the game behind the scenes. Prep is qualitative; answering questions about where the narrative is going to go, who will be there etc. The game can be run smoothly predominantly as improv.
⭐⭐⭐ - This game expects the facilitator to not only know the rules, but to imagine scenarios where the group must play. However, the scope of the scenario design is limited and qualitative. It takes a bit of pondering and perhaps a sketch and a few words of notes. Alternatively, the facilitator must design simple foes or track a simple background system. The work is trivial, and can be done with a bit of time before session.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ - The facilitator of this game is expected to have run systems between games, or created usable maps or scenarios. Generally, games at this level have some reduced wargaming component. The facilitator might need to engage in enemy design, but the work is limited or imminently reusable. The work is non-trivial, and failing to do it will somewhat impact the quality of play.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐- The facilitator of this game puts in significant time between sessions engaging in game design activities. They are expected to plan narratives, write NPCs, draw maps, run significant background systems, and design enemies and combat encounters. The work is significant outside of play, and failing to do it beforehand will result in a worse table experience.
One Star Examples: For the Queen, Alley-Oop, Lasers and Feelings Five Star Examples: Lancer, D&D 3-5e, Stars Without Number, Edge of the Empire
Whimsy
⭐ - This game’s thematic core is considered dark, taboo, or difficult, and separating the game’s mechanical features from this subject matter is next to impossible. Games with horror elements almost certainly fit within this category. These games encourage extensive pre-play safety talks.
⭐⭐ - This game is designed to look at dark subject matter, but doesn’t expect the player to spend all of their time there. Players explore difficult topics, but may get to choose what topics to explore, or when to explore them. Games with political messaging/commentary tend to fit this category. These games encourage pre-play safety talks.
⭐⭐⭐ - This game may have dark aesthetics, but doesn’t enforce them mechanically. Alternatively, there are mechanics that address difficult topics in broad strokes, but players are given leeway in the rules with how any difficult topics are approached. These games may encourage safety talks.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ - This game may have the option to explore dark topics, but none of the mechanics are tied to such topics. This game may have violence in its aesthetics, but players may choose to adjust the aesthetics at the table to suit their comfort. These games tend not to talk about safety in their text.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐- This game is designed to focus on thematic material that is considered to be relatively safe. The game is unlikely to tread into violence or trauma without effort.
One Star Examples: Trophy Dark, Dungeon Bitches, Vampire the Masquerade Five Star Examples: Honey Heist, Princess World, Beach Episode
The system here isn't about what's good or bad, to be clear. I think there are good and bad games at every level of these categories, but when I think about what my game group is good at and comfy with, I don't think we go in for things at like the 5 end of the Writers Room scale. It's too much work, and most of them aren't pro improvisers.
Similarly, if we play another game that is a 4 or 5 on the PrepWork category, I don't have time to run it these days. So this helps me make practical choices about our next game.

I loved your alphabet for Anya ^^
Could you possibly do the same prompt for Daisuke :3
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I love Anya so much, and writing for her gives me so much joy
SFW ALPHABET | Daisuke
A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)
Daisuke? Affection lord. Aggressive cuddles? That's his middle name (probably). He has the energy of those wholesome starwars nerd boys on the internet. Sees lightsaber dueling as a form of affection.
B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)
The hype man! No, he's not a baby in my eyes, but he's got a young and very passionate heart, so he will do his best to keep a positive mentality for his friends and his sanity. YAP WITH HIM, and listen well! Like with Anya, what they both say gets glossed over by the rest of the crew.
C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)
Yes, as mentioned before, Daisuke is the affection lord. He is not a Spooner, BUT he will lay on top of you like the world's most comedic weighted blanket. He's also fine lying on his back. World's most entertaining pillow talker! Random facts as he's tracing smiley faces into your skin with his fingertips.
This is Daisuke and no one can change my mind
Tumblr media
D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)
City boy City boy City boy. This man wants to live in the city on the coast with a convertible, thrifted Hawaiian shirts, piña Coladas, and arcades. His flat is decorated with LED lights, a stylized diffuser, and lego plant models that him and Anya build together on their hangouts since neither of them can keep real plants alive. Cooking? He's actually pretty damn good at it! He is on another level of mixology so mixed drinks that glow under black lights? Daisuke is your man. Killer French toast maker for sure.
E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)
Very timid about it, but will force himself to do it in person. Otherwise it's from an outburst of emotion like in an argument or discussion
F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)
Fast to fall, slow to marry, but will have the geekiest way of proposing. Watch him pull out a ringpop.
G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)
He can be gentle. When Daisuke is aggressive it's not actually aggression he just has a hard time containing excitement and bounces off the walls. Both physically and emotionally.
H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)
Absolutely. Everyday. Like Anya he will find any excuse to give you one and pepper your face with kisses.
I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)
Every 5 minutes good fucking lord Daisuke pump the brakes. You butter toast for him and he swears fealty this man is actually so golden.
J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)
A little jealous, but just gets a little pouty or is just entirely oblivious like that. He 100% has full trust in you please dont break this piña coloda in the rain man's heart.
K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)
Daisuke loves butterfly and eskimo kisses because he's actually such a dope. Loves making you laugh it's become his sole purpose in life.
L = Little ones (How are they around children?)
Probably the best out of the whole crew if I'm being honest. Anya is the most responsible, but Daisuke only needs 3 minutes to use his 17 charisma stat to charm kids into thinking he's the best.
M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)
Doomscrolling I hope you don't mind, he gets up before you and sings to his spotify playlists in the shower. Not before leaving a kiss to the top of your head. If you're still asleep by the time he finishes showering, he'll cook up some breakfast.
N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)
Co-op games, music sharing, epic fail youtube videos, a big comforter blanket, and you guys definately have a cat named crusher. Don't ask.
O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)
Daisuke is a very open guy, the only things he would be slow to reveal is his guilt with his parents. He hates being a downer but those blues need to come out somehow.
P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)
Slow to anger, very slow similar to Anya except she can snap in the case if her losing a board game and flipping the game over and tripping over the coffee table on her way out.
Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)
He remembers pretty well! Key details too, anniversaries with him are the bomb they're awesome because he never fails to bring up something you told him years ago.
R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)
You walking in on a drunk Daisuke ranting to a highly amused Swansea about how he was going to murder the sun because there can only be one sunshine.
S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)
Pretty protective if something seems off but this man can be so aloof, please also protect him
T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)
HE GOES OVER THE TOP. You walk into the your shared studio and he's sitting there with his Anakin Costume with a dinner from the star wars cookbook all set up. Or lego set building!
U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)
Will try his best to hide his negative thoughts, very hard to get him to open up about his own issues.
V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)
Very concerned. Have you seen his hair? Bro actually should be a model for Hollister. Has 34 Hawaiian shirts in his wardrobe (he plans to get more)
W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)
Yes, in the most golden retriever way possible.
X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)
When he messes up something small he just goes "Im just a girl in the world"
Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)
Pessimistic people are a big no no. Also people who never want to go outside.
Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)
Lighter snorerer and has the habit of starfishing on the bed.
