OHHH, I just thought of something.

It's been bugging me that Norris, Chester, and Augustus started speaking around a year ago, and I've been wondering about the significance of that timing. At first I thought maybe it was some consequence of whatever RedCanary stumbled into at the Magnus Institute, because that was a bit over a year and a half ago--we know from the case numbering system that the episodes are taking place in the present day (episode 2 was taking place on Jan 18 2024; note for my fellow US folks that the dates are the UK standard with day first, not month). And from the dates on the forum posts, RedCanary's series of unfortunate events was in April 2022.

BUT based on their case numbers, which give the date the case's events happened even if that's not said in the episode, all the incidents Sam has looked at so far were from mid 2022. They're not perfectly grouped together; the dolls and Arthur and RedCanary were all April through May 2022, while Daria's therapy appointment was September--that last one's a bit of a jump, but it could have happened depending on how cases are being allotted among the various workers. But they're all close enough that it's a plausible assumption, I think, that FR3-D1 is generally finding these things roughly as they're posted and then adding them into people's queues for review. This would mean they're at a current backlog of around a year and a half. (Looking at you, Gwen...)

If that's the case, and if the OIAR's workers have been maintaining a roughly constant rate, then around a year ago they would probably have been reviewing a lot of cases that FR3-D1 found in early to mid-2021. Which means they'd have been opening files that have been sitting in their database untouched since that time.

MAG200 aired on March 25, 2021.

Whether Chester and Norris are a Ushanka'd JMart, or something resulting purely from Annabelle Caine's manipulation of their voices, or something else entirely... l don't know. But I am betting that they didn't start as part of the system, like Colin thinks they did. I think there was some direct consequence of MAG200's events which led to them being embedded in a post that FR3-D1 scraped up, and that they simply weren't activated and "let loose" until some unknowing office worker clicked on their file.

You walk through the double doors with a smile on your face because today is another day. You’re alive and that’s the best kind of day. You work for the local police department as their receptionist. You’re the first thing people see when they come in so you have to be on your best behavior.

You set your things down on your desk and quickly get settled in. Besides the Captain, you’re the first one in the building. Every officer that comes in, you greet them with a smile as you log into your computer.

“Hey, sweetheart,” Officer Wilson says when he comes in. He always calls you that since he's often told you how he thinks of you like a little sister. “How was your weekend?”

“Too short,” you chuckle. “Did Sarah get into that college?”

“Yeah, she got the acceptance letter yesterday.”

“Oh, I’m so happy for her!” you grin.

“Yeah, I’ll tell her to give you a call.”

Sam taps your desk twice and leaves to go to his own. A few more officers come in until the one you’ve been waiting for walks in confidently. Your heart starts to race because you have a huge crush on him. He kind of knows it but doesn't outright call you out on it.

“There she is,” Bucky smiles and leans on your desk.

“Officer Barnes, it’s good to see you.”

“Doll, you know you can call me Bucky.”

He knows exactly what those pet names do to you. After a night of drinking together, you let it slip that your kink is pet names, and doll happened to be your favorite. Like him, you won’t call him out on it.

“I know. How was your weekend?”

“Better if you were there with me,” he flirts.

“Oh, Bucky,” you chuckle nervously. “You don’t mean that.”

“Yeah, I do. I was wishing, ‘Man, don’t I wish Y/N was here with me? I guess I have to drink alone’.”

“You know what alcohol does to me.”

“Yeah, I do,” he smirks. “You look cute today. That dress compliments you.”

“A compliment. I might swoon,” you joke even though your cheeks are hot.

“As long as it’s in my arms, I don’t care.”

“Don’t you have a job to get to, Officer Barnes?”

“Yeah, but I’d rather stay here and talk to you.”

“You might get fired.”

“It’s worth it,” he winks. “Here’s your coffee.”

He sets your favorite coffee order next to your keyboard and walks away. That’s the extent of your relationship with Bucky. You two flirt constantly but nothing ever comes of it. It’s comfortable. Why leave something when you’re comfortable being there? Do you wish you were something more? Of course. Do you think he’s going to man up and take it to that next level? Not unless something threatening happened like him realizing if he doesn’t do it soon, he’d lose you.

Some of what your work includes is printing off documents for the other officers, inputting things into evidence before they get shipped off there, and sorting through the files regarding the people they have locked up in the holding cells or interrogation rooms. You already have a list of things to print out and file, but you look for Bucky’s name first.

After printing off what he needs, you get up and personally hand this to him. There is a mailbox for the officers that you’re supposed to put in, but you like visiting his desk. He has a picture of you and him printed out and placed next to his computer that you look at every time you visit.

“Here are the papers you asked for,” you smile.

“Thanks, doll,” he grins and grabs them from you, intentionally brushing his fingers against yours.

You go back to your desk to finish your work, and you come across two people who need stuff put into evidence. One of them sent it over a couple of hours ago, and the other one is from Bucky. You immediately click on his name to get what he needs first before looking at the other one.

“Now that is bullshit,” you hear from behind you.

You jump and turn to see Sam standing there with a half-smile on his face.

“What are you doing? You scared me!”

“I sent you evidence hours ago and Bucky sent you it just now, and he’s the one you pick first?”

“I--”

You don’t have any words for that.

“When are you two gonna fuck?”

“Sam Wilson!” you gasp.

“What? It’s a valid question. I should ask him that.”

“Don’t you dare!”

“I’m rooting for you two no matter how painful the slow burn is,” he chuckles and walks away.

It takes half an hour to get the idea of you and Bucky fucking for you to do your job right. Once you’re in the groove of things, the door opens and an attractive man walks in.

“Can I help you?” you ask with a smile.

“Yeah, I’m here for my brother. He’s in lock up.”

“Okay, what’s his name and date of birth?”

“James Farley. 04/05/1986.”

“Your name?”

“Brandon Farley.”

“Okay, I see your brother here. It looks like--”

“I’m sorry, but I have to tell you how beautiful you are.”

“Oh, thank you,” you blush.

“Are you seeing anyone?”

“No, but--”

“Great. Can I take you out?”

“You can see how this is inappropriate, right?”

“Yeah, but you like it,” he grins. “So, can I take you out?”

There’s a certain charm about him that you find endearing maybe because he reminds you of Bucky. Being put on the spot like that is enough to make you freeze up, so you say the one thing that won’t cause conflict.

“Yes.”

“Here’s my number.”

He grabs your hand and writes his number on it so that it won’t come off with one scrub.

“I have sticky notes!”

“This is better. Now you won’t lose it.”

“Go take a seat. Someone will be with you shortly to bring you to your brother.”

“Thanks,” he winks and walks to the waiting room.

You’re about to get up and wash off the number when you notice Bucky standing in the doorway that leads into the precinct.

“Did I hear that right?”

“What?”

“You have a date?”

“Yeah, he asked me out,” you stutter. Bucky looks pissed as if you just told him you killed someone. “Why do you look angry?”

“Nothing. No reason.”

Bucky walks off angrily leaving you confused. He avoids you like the plague for the rest of the day. He isn’t at his desk when you drop off paperwork, and he’s not there to walk you to your car when you get off. He’s supposed to get off an hour before you do, but he stays after not on the clock to make sure you get to your car safely.

This time, he didn’t.

The next day, Bucky is already at work when you arrive. There is no coffee on your desk, either, and you’re feeling guilty for accepting a date with someone else. Is that why he’s acting this way? Sam walks in drinking an energy drink when you stop him.

“Hey, what’s going on with Bucky?”

“You’re kidding, right?”

“No, what did I do?”

“You accepted a date from someone else.”

You knew it. Why is he bigging out?

“So?”

“Have you not been here for the past two years? You two flirt like crazy.”

“No, he’s just being friendly.”

“You won’t get it until you do,” Sam shakes his head and walks off.

The date with Brandon comes sooner than you hoped. He picks you up in a fancy car and takes you to a fancy restaurant that you could never afford. He smooth-talks the hostess to get him a table by the window so he can have a view while he eats. The waitress brings by a drinks menu but he already orders what you two are going to drink.

“Trust me, you’re going to love this,” he winks at you.

“Okay,” you say and fiddle with your fingers underneath the table. “You know what I do for work. What do you do for work?”

You shouldn’t have asked him that.

“I work in the telecommunications sector. You know that big building in the city? That’s mine. It’s funny. I got all my parents’ money when they died and instead of using that money for myself, I decided to invest in a small company that turned out to give me millions.” You open your mouth to speak but he continues talking. “Can you imagine that? This small company that wasn’t going to go anywhere if it weren't for me. I’m like their hero. They eventually sold their part to me, and I’ve been thriving ever since.”

Once he got to talking about his job, he hasn’t shut up about it since. He’s very arrogant and rude but that doesn’t seem to stop him. As soon as the drinks come, you greedily take yours and down it without caring what it is.

“Whoa, doll, calm down. I don’t need to haul you to the car at the end of the night. You should pace yourself.”

No one can call me that but Bucky. Oh, Bucky. You shouldn’t have said yes to this man. He only asked you out to hear himself talk. You want this date to end so you pretend to be interested in what he has to say. Even when the date is over and he’s driving you home, he won’t shut up. His voice mixed with alcohol is starting to make your head throb.

About halfway to your house, you see red and blue lights behind you.

This better not be him, you think to yourself. Brandon pulls the car over obediently and waits for the officer to approach him. You look through the mirror to see the outline of the officer and recognize it immediately. He better not. I swear to God… Instead of walking to the driver’s side door, Bucky walks over to your door and leans down so only you can see him.

“Step out of the vehicle, please.”

“No.”

Bucky takes a deep breath to calm himself down. He leans in so close that you can smell his delicious cologne. That makes your head spin.

“I’ll repeat myself. Step out of the car.”

“Or what? You’re gonna drag me out?”

“Don’t tempt me, doll,” he says so only you can hear it.

“Is there a problem, Officer?” Brandon asks.

“Yes. You have a busted taillight.”

“Fuck! You’ve got to be joking, sir.”

“No, sir, I’m not.”

“Shit. Officer, I can promise you I keep this car in the utmost pristine condition.”

“Not today, buddy. That’s a ticket.”

Bucky takes out his pad and writes Brandon a hefty ticket for a broken taillight you’re not sure is even broken.

“Fuck!” Brandon turns to you without guilt on his face. “Look, do you mind if I drop you off right here? Your house is only down the road. You can get there from here, right?”

Your mouth drops open in shock.

“Don’t worry, I’ll take her home,” Bucky offers.

“Thank you. I’ll call you.”

You don’t say anything as you get out of the car. Bucky walks you to the passenger side of his cruiser. You look at the taillights of Brandon’s car and notice they’re both working properly.

“What the fuck, Bucky?” you yell when he gets in the driver’s seat. “His taillights are broken! You can’t just do that. That’s illegal!”

“He’ll fight against it, and I’ll drop the charges,” he shrugs.

“You’re un-fucking-believable. We were actually having a good time,” you lie.

“No, you weren't,” he laughs.

“How do you know that?”

“It’s written all over your face. Your eyes don’t have the usual light.” Bucky pulls onto the road and heads in the direction of your house. “I don’t know why you would accept the date in the first place.”

“Because at least he had the fucking balls to ask me.”

That puts the entire car ride into a tense silence. He doesn’t say anything for the rest of the ride home. He pulls up to your place but instead of letting you get out first, he gets out and walks over to your side of the car. He opens the door but doesn't let you leave the car. He leans into the car, grabs your chin, and kisses you. You’re shocked but you won’t pull away from him. Both your lips move in harmony against one another, and he slides his tongue into your mouth to show you he means business.

“You’re not allowed to see other men.”

“Why not?” you ask, breathlessly.

“Because you’re mine now and I’m not gonna let you go.” This brings a smile to your face. He lets you get out, and when you pass by him, he taps your ass lightly. “I’ll see you tomorrow, Doll.”

Yes, you will.

In the dim light, he leaned in close, his lips brushing against your ear. “Do you enjoy this, little dove? The feeling of his blood on you? Knowing what we’ve done?” He said the words as if they were a secret, as if they were something only the two of you could understand.

"You know," he murmured, voice low, the words carrying a hint of sarcasm, "for a person so sweet and innocent-looking, you sure have a way with blood."

You chuckled lightly, stepping closer, pressing your body to his with a practiced, effortless grace. There was a softness to your touch, but something darker simmered beneath the surface. Your fingers brushed against his as if by accident, but it wasn't an accident.

You felt the heat of his skin against yours, the electricity that sparked between the two of you with every small, casual contact.

"It's just... so easy," you replied, voice sweet, like sugar melting on the tongue. "It’s like everything falls into place when we’re together."

William didn’t respond immediately.

His hand, warm and calloused, moved to gently caress your cheek, fingers brushing over your skin with a tenderness that seemed at odds with everything you’d just done. His touch was dangerous—soothing, yet igniting something deep within, something that made your pulse quicken, that made the masks slip just a little more.

You pressed yourself closer, your breath catching, and whispered, “What do you think, William? You can feel it, can’t you?” You could feel his heartbeat, steady but quickening. He could feel yours, racing just under the surface, the excitement of the kill still flowing through both of you.

The conversation was an endless game of sarcasm and teasing, each word laced with a thin layer of something much darker.

You knew the dance. He knew it too. You had both been playing it for so long that it had become second nature. You’d both learned to hide behind the masks you wore, hiding the fact that there was nothing innocent left in either of you.

He chuckled softly, his fingers curling around the back of your neck, pulling you in closer. “You’re a dangerous one, aren’t you my darling? A little psychopath hiding beneath that sweet, innocent face. I’ve always known it.” His lips ghosted over your ear, his breath a scorching caress—hot, heavy, and brimming with unspoken desire. "But then again... so am I."

The words hung between you like a challenge, a truth neither of you could deny. His fingers moved from your cheek, sliding to the back of your neck, pulling you closer with a firm grip. The closeness was intoxicating—his body against yours, his scent, the weight of him surrounding you.

For a moment, neither of you spoke. There was no need. The moment was perfect—in its darkness, in its undeniable connection.

He kissed you then. You leaned up to kiss him, the touch of his lips soft and surprisingly gentle at first, a light brush of his lips against yours, but quickly deepening as your bodies pressed closer, as if the world outside this room no longer mattered.

As if both of you were seeking something more.

You could feel the blood of your victims—his victims—sticking to your skin, mixing with the sweat on your body, but neither of you seemed to care. It was as if the blood had become a part of you, and the corpses were simply forgotten.

Something beyond the blood, beyond the bodies, beyond the roles you played.

The kiss was a promise—one that neither of you could escape. And when his hand slid down your back, pulling you even closer, you didn’t resist. The touch was comforting, but it stirred a dangerous hunger deep within you. It wasn’t just about pleasure anymore. You can feel the sharp points of his teeth as they nip and bite at your bottom lip, drawing forth a metallic tang of blood that only serves to spur on his fervor, before soothing the sting with a long, slow lick.

He sucks your lip into his mouth, his tongue swirling and stroking until you're trembling, your knees going weak. As your lips open, his tongue delves in, hot and slick and insistent, stroking along yours, urging it to dance. He kisses you deeply, thoroughly, his tongue stroking and caressing yours, swirling and twirling in a sensual ballet that leaves you breathless.

He slid down to your waist with his hands, fingers molding to the curve of your body, burning even through the fabric. His thumb traced lazy circles against your skin—slow, deliberate, as if etching his claim. But then, the pressure deepened—not enough to hurt, but just enough for you to feel the restrained strength in his hold. Each stroke grew firmer, each breath against your neck heavier, a silent warning woven into the heat of the moment—you were his, right here, right now.

“Do you feel it?” he asked, voice hushed but full of intent. “The way we’re drawn together? The way we’ve always been... drawn to this?”

You smiled, the heat of his touch making everything inside you burn. “I feel it,” you murmured, your hands trailing over his chest, tracing the lines of his form as if you were memorizing every inch of him. “It’s like we’re the same, William. Like we were made for this.”

And with that, the world outside— the blood, the corpses, the coldness of the Safe Room— faded away. There was only the two of you now. The masks had slipped entirely. The personas were gone.

What was left was the raw, unfiltered truth.

There was no need for words anymore. You pressed your body to his once more, feeling the heat of him, the undeniable need in both of you.

The kiss grew more desperate, more reckless, as you tore away the last remnants of your clothing, forgetting the blood, the death, the twisted game you played. In these moments, it was just the two of you, caught in something deeper than just love. It was destruction—and yet, it felt more like creation.

He pulled away just slightly, his voice dropping to a rasp. “We’ve done our work, haven’t we? Finished what we started.” His eyes sparkled with something darker now, the usual playful sarcasm replaced by raw hunger. “And now we enjoy the rewards.”

You didn’t hesitate. With a smirk, you pressed your lips back to his again, feeling the heat of his breath against your skin as his hands wandered lower, exploring, claiming, as if he couldn’t get enough.

The blood, the decaying corpses scattered around the Safe Room—they no longer existed. There was only the two of you, lost in each other’s touch, lost in the overwhelming need that had risen between you both. The darkness wasn’t just in your words anymore—it was alive, it was pulsing in the air, thick and suffocating.

“Let them wait,” you whispered, your voice breathy and daring as you tugged at the edge of his shirt. "The masks are off now, William. The real fun begins."

And with that, the rest of the world faded away, leaving only the two of you in the Safe Room, surrounded by the aftermath of your work and the promises of things far darker still to come.

Together, you were unstoppable. You both forgot the lives you’d taken, the lives that would continue to fall.

All that mattered was the connection you shared, the way you fit so perfectly together.

The shadow was where you belonged.

And you wouldn’t have it any other way. And no matter how dangerous it became, neither of you could look away.

Honestly it's INSANELY funny that a post is going around rn about the Life of Faith dolls cause I remember when they were being sold. My conservative Christian mom even said "Hmm. That might be a bit culty for us. Also the Elsie Dinsmore books are racist trash," bought me a pretty journal from the local Christian bookstore, and that was that. Me and my friend Annie did a deep-dive on them a few months back just in our own DMs so for those curious about how bad this gets, here's some fun facts:

The company was started by Christian Homeschoolers™ (not "homeschoolers who are christian." Christian Homeschoolers and all the stereotypes that entails) in the mid-90s but went bankrupt in 2010. They based them around the old Elsie Dinsmore books, starring a girl who was so pious she would rather die than not pray to God or smth like that. The dolls hands can be clasped in prayer and they all came with mini Bibles

The dolls were Elsie Dinsmore, the daughter of a fucking plantation owner; Millie Keith, her cousin whose doll was a clear ripoff of Kirsten Larson; Violet Travilla, Elsie's daughter; Laylie Colbert, a fucking slave doll (but it's ok because the white girls converted her to Christianity); and Kathleen McKenzie, a Great Depression bitch.

Elsie Dinsmore books were originally published between 1867-1905. They are generally considered so bad that even hardcore Evangelicals consider them boring at best. The doll line EDITED the books to be less racist actually. Yes, the doll line that calls the slaves "Plantation-Dwellers" actually edited racist shit out of the books. I recall a bit where Elsie told a slave girl that she would be white in Heaven. They also cut out a bit where her Dad beats her with a riding crop.

Yes, she does marry her Dad's Friend. They did not cut this part out.

DINSMORE, YOU BRUTE

Millie's books were somehow both more and less racist. Millie and her family were abolitionists who helped runaway slaves but also one of her brothers marries a Mexican girl after the two of them were, and I quote, "captured by Indians and presumed dead."

IIRC, Elsie and Violet happen to be in Europe when the Civil War happens and they just kinda stay there to avoid the consequences of their actions. When they come back they are threatened by the KKK but I don't remember why. I DO remember that they spent Elsie's money on rebuilding plantations, because clearly THAT is where our priorities have to lie

The Violet and Laylie books are fanfiction. I don't think Kathleen's have anything to do with Elsie at all.

Oh, did I say books? Laylie only got one book, one nightgown, and some accessories for her collection. Kathleen, who was released a year later, got a shitton of stuff. Like, a mountain of stuff. I wonder what the difference between them is

The reason this line exists is the original Christian Homeschoolers considered American Girl to be pro-lesbian and pro-abortion. No American Girl didnt have any references to homosexuality or abortion at the time. Their first canon queer characters were in 2021 (Kira's gay aunts). As @jabberwockypie put it, everyone flipped out because AG partnered with Girls Inc "to fund after-school science programs and stuff" and god forbid, amirite?

She sacrificed a lot for me.”You tilted your chin to avoid the tears on your waterline to spill. “She sacrificed her life before she could play with dolls for me. I spent my childhood waiting for the sound of her keys jingling as she came back from her night shift, waking up with just a small note sticked on the side of my breakfast plate because she couldn’t wished me a good morning for having to rush to work. She gave up on her dream, crying from missing her parents in South Korea every night just to make sure I got a chance to draw my life with colours so I wouldn’t have to suffer like she did. I need to accept this job for her. Everything I have been doing and ever will do is for her and you know this.”

Charles remained silence. He had always known your mom’s struggle, raiding you alone as a signle mother and part of him had always known that if you were put in a situation where you had to prioritise your life or your mom’s life, you would always choose hers. He knew it but he was never prepared for the day to come. He couldn’t find himself to say anything else and pulled you into his embrace instead.

“And I’m tired. I’m so, so tired of the constant pressure from everyone. I can’t even wear anything that I want without getting comments about how incompatible I look, how messy I look. I– I don’t know what they– what everyone wants from me. It’s either I looked out of place, an outsider or I looked like I’m trying too hard. I don’t know what everyone expect from me. I’m happy, I’m so goddamn happy that you got to be where you are right now but the more you are building yourself, the more I’m falling apart. I’m losing myself, Charles. I feel like I have been helping you to build your garden while mine is just getting abandoned and forsaken and just full of wilt flowers.”

Kid Villains, pt 2.

Decided to post more kiddy villains, bit of a sequel to this. First up is Kitten, Mothman's bratty daughter from the 2003 teen titan cartoon:

Modeled her costume after the Rosy Maple Moth, while there are species of moths with the name kitten on them I figured she would prefer a pink outfit.

Thought it'd be kinda cool for her to be a villain for the batkids, she's already evil so why not. I don't imagine her to be all that talented at the job tho she would still be very dangerous if you underestimate her. I think she would work particularly well against Steph, being that Mothman started as a villain for Barbara (Cass might be too high level for her tbh).

Here's some more doodles:

Here's my Scarecrow's sidekick oc, I should probably name her something like Rag Doll or Raggedy Scream maybe? The three boys are oc's modeled after the Terrible Trio, criminals who commit crimes wearing animal masks. Their identities change a lot over continuities, so these kids are probably aspiring to be the next incarnation of this group.

Here's another random oc, a sidekick for White Rabbit (Jaina Hudson). Thought it'd be funny if it was just a kid in a silly rabbit suit, like what the kid wore in that movie, A Christmas Story. I'm not sure on what his personality should be. Maybe someone genuinely nice, a cheerful, polite boy who likes to hand people bombs (unintentionally dangerous) or maybe someone pretending to be nice but is actually malicious. Whatever's funnier I suppose.

Here's some characters inspired by the Super Friends enemies, the Super Foes. You'd see some of them return for the Robins 2021 mini, except for Toy Boy. Giggles and Guffaw are newer, only appearing in the mini.

I messed with their designs a bit to make them more unique looking. Honeysuckle for example was shown with either red or brown hair but I gave her a sorta dark maroon, thought it contrasted well with her green outfit. Honeysuckle btw, is older than the rest, and is more of an enemy to Dick and Barbara, tho her teenage self has no problem attacking the younger sibs.

Also Giggles and Guffaw might look a little similar to a certain anime starring a group of sextuplets, just being a little funny there. I gave these kids some made up names, mostly taken from whatever writer created them. Couple of them worked out pretty well actually, like Bridwell (well, spring, stream) and Estrada (Road).

This next one is a character from the 2004 cartoon The Batman, which I never actually watched but I did see commercials of. His name is Prank ( Donnie ?), a protege of the Joker. He wasn't evil enough to stick it out, but I gotta say I just loved his costume (esp how the jacket resembles Robins coat a bit). Made up a last name for him, just a random one from searching up famous clowns.

Being Barbara's peer, he's also more of a antagonist for the older kids, decided he and Honeysuckle should friends. I kinda want to use them as a sorta contrast to Babs and Dick, that could be fun to do. Also look at baby Dick, I don't draw him enough at this age.

Speaking of Barbara, I've been going back and forth between having her start out as either 12 or 16. All the other kids start out really young, so it makes sense for Babs to do so as well. But I kinda like the thought of her starting out much older, makes her more unique among the batkids (in pre-crisis she became Batgirl in like her 20s btw, cool huh?)

More various rivals for the kids to fight, excluding my oc Pink Rabbit, all of them more antagonists for the kids themselves rather sidekicks of the villains that Batman fights.

Here's Jason and Steph torturing poor little Enigma, who would be considered the bad guy here?

Here's some more proteges, Holly probably exists in this world, she's a bit too old for all this nonsense tho. Kitten is also a Super Foes member and was in Robins 2021 as well, she's been shown to be a sidekick to the Cheetah and Catwoman. Maybe she's just likes to attach herself to any cat-themed villain.

Crazy Quilt is more of an enemy to Robin than Batman, plus he has his own legacy in Crazy Quilt II, so obviously I had to include them. I wonder what name should I give the younger one, Duvet? Silly Blankie? idk

Lastly here's Earth 3(?) Jason Todd as Talon II paying a visit to the Training Wheels universe, seems like hes a bit of a crybaby. I don't think we've seen a earth 3 variant of Jason, so I'm just making up my own version of him. Wonder why he seems so nervous...

What to watch during the writer's strike:

Don't pay attention to companies who blame writers for delayed movies and television shows! The WGA strike comes from people who are trying to make things better - not only for themselves and other writers, but the films and tv shows we all love.

While we wait for a resolution, I thought I would share some existing television shows that I enjoy. I didn't bother with too much well-known stuff. Instead, I focused on shows I feel many people missed because of the glut of content that all premiered at once over the last few years. (I may make another one of these for movies later on, but this one is about tv.)

Netflix:

The Good Place (2016-2020) - A 'bad' woman is accidentally sent to heaven. She and her moral philosophy professor of a soulmate try to save her soul by making her a better person. Genre: Comedy with deeper implications and one of the best endings in television history.

Russian Doll (2019-2022) - When Nadia dies at her birthday party, she's more than a little confused to come back. Especially when it keeps happening. Genre: Time loop drama with a wicked sense of humor and a dash of theoretical physics. Potentially not ended?

Narcos (2015-2017) - The fight of the American DEA and the Colombian army against cocaine kingpin Pablo Escobar and his reign of terror. Genre: Drama with thrilling elements. Lots of violence, some sex and language. Lots of subtitles. Features Pedro Pascal and Boyd Holbrook, if you need some extra incentive.

Derry Girls (2018-2022) - Five teens grow up in Derry, Ireland in the 1990s, amid the final years of the Troubles, a low-level war that lasted roughly 30 years. Genre: Comedy. Some sexual content, some religious content, less violence than you would expect, and the best nun ever to appear on film.

Arcane (2021-?) - Two sisters are alienated when one accidentally kills their adoptive father. Their different paths threaten the fragile peace of a city already on the breaking point. Genre: Drama with elements of action-adventure. Though it's animated, Arcane's animation is beautifully done with tantalizing steampunk elements that will keep you invested.

Disney+:

Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008-2020) - If you haven't seen any of the Star Wars animated series, this is a good place to start. Set in the time gap between Episode II and Episode III, this series helps flesh out Anakin Skywalker and the Jedi. It is also a great introduction to some of the characters and plots of The Mandalorian. (Star Wars: Rebels is another good choice.) Genre: Adventure with some drama. Violence and death are a large part of The Clone Wars, but it's usually appropriate for children. The clone troopers will steal your heart!

Gravity Falls (2012-2016) - Dipper Pines and his sister Mabel are sent to Gravity Falls, Oregon to live with their great-uncle for their summer break. But when Dipper finds a mysterious book in the woods, the pair find that Gravity Falls is far more mysterious than it seems... Genre: Adventure with a lot of comedy. Though it's billed as a children's cartoon, Gravity Falls is an intriguing watch with mystery subplots that will keep anyone guessing. It also features a famously strong and cohesive series ending. I was in my late 20s when I first watched this and I was still invested!

Daredevil (2015-2018) - After being blinded as a young boy, Matthew Murdock trained his other senses to replace the sight that he lost. He uses his skills to protect the helpless in the New York City neighborhood of Hell's Kitchen. Genre: Action and superhero. Features a lot of incredibly choreographed violence. (Jessica Jones is also an excellent show to watch, especially if you think of David Tennant as the consummate 'good guy'. He's got range!)

HBO Max (Just 'Max' now, I guess):

Ghosts (2019-2023) - Petty roommate squabbles don't stop just because you're dead! Alison and her husband Mike inherit a house, then a near-death experience allows Alison to see its ghostly inhabitants. Chaos and humor ensue as the ghosts try to adjust to the house's new owners. Genre: Humor. Ghosts is a British sitcom, but since the writers are comedians (writing and performing in Horrible Histories), the show is done in a style that feels more natural to American viewers. Hint: watch the BBC version, not the American one. They're fairly similar, but definitely not the same!

Pushing Daisies (2007-2009) - A pie-maker with the ability to bring back the dead helps to solve murders. He's helped by his once-dead childhood sweetheart. Genre: Comedy with some dramatic elements. Some of the CGI-heavy moments haven't aged particularly well, but the show has a unique premise and an incredibly talented cast!

Hulu:

Abbott Elementary (2021-?) - This mockumentary series showcases an inner-city elementary school in Philadelphia. The teachers and administration do their best for the kids, but they're constrained by budgets and the limitations of the educational system itself. Genre: Comedy mockumentary. Though Abbott Elementary is fictional, some of the issues brought up are all too real. This is a funny and incisive look at the American public school system.

Amazon Prime:

Fleabag (2016-2019) - The unnamed protagonist of the show struggles through life on her own with limited support from her alienated family and the memories of her recently deceased best friend. Genre: Comedy with lots of dramatic elements. Lots of sexual content and references, some language, breaking the fourth-wall, and several characters you just long to hit. I watched the second season in a single day, that's how good this was.

Unknown Streaming Service:

Black Sails (2014-2017) - This prequel to Treasure Island features elements from the book, original characters, and real pirates from history in a setting that emphasizes realism. Captain Flint and his crew search for a legendary prize... one that might allow them to claim Nassau for their own. Genre: Action and adventure. Think Game of Thrones, but with pirates. Black Sails also boasts one of the best endings ever given for a television show.

SERGIONE NAZIONALE (sergio mattarella, italian president) has one of Pecco's helmets and they've met twice! super cute the second time it was a private meeting but pecco insisted to also have his entire team there, he had prepared a speech but he forgot it completely coz he was so stressed in front of mattarella so he took his phone out and tried to read the speech there but he still couldn't do it lol so he decided to improvise!

in 2013 pecco was at his first year in moto3 and it was a pretty terrible year. His chief mechanic told him after three races that pecco was prob not gonna be there in moto3 the next year, a lil bit traumatizing for 15 years old pecco.

he learned how to brake with just one finger this year, his index finger, in the beginning it was tough but now its easier.

TIMELINE : ̗̀➛a few months after twice's debut, haneul become friends with seventeen's 97 line - dk, mingyu and the8- and seungkwan. this friendship led haneul to meet the rest of seventeen in 2017, that's when everything started. at first, haneul and seungcheol didn't have a lot of interactions, but these weren't uncomfortable. over the time, they began to become closer, as friends.

it's important to know that since august, 2017 to january, 2018, haneul was in a relationship with seven older man, called park hyungwoo, in which was a lot of toxicity and lack of confidence. they ended because he cheated on her, making the girl end up distressed and without self-esteem.

we all know the story, you adore a doll line and you can't WAIT for new releases... only to find out that it's been discontinued.

today i want to introduce two doll lines that seem SO damn promising only to be discontinued before they were even able to release a second wave.

Meet Zeenie. Produced in 2013 by independent designers Hansini and Laxmi Wadhwani, they were a group of 6 highly articulated (24 points of articulation) 12 inch tall dolls. The girls were fashionable eco-warriors who each fought for their own environmental cause AND each doll (and their packaging!) are made from eco-friendly and recyclable materials!!

Oh and if you're wondering how it came to be?

(via their original Kickstarter) - “The concept and mission behind Zeenie Dollz started with a sketch by Hansini Wadhwani, the creator, designer and inventor of the series. Hansini showed her mother, Laxmi Wadhwani, the first sketch of a girl with flowing blue hair and explained that her persona was that of Mother Earth. With overwhelming support and belief in the concept, Laxmi leveraged her years of experience in the textile industry to bring Zennia, the first doll in the series, to life. From there, the mother-daughter duo have worked together through every step of the creative process to take a beautiful sketch, a meaningful cause and a passion for the environment, and merge it into the Zeenie Dollz series.” Please I am not crying you're crying...

They only ever released the original 6 dolls but they were available to purchase online up until 2019.

Now let's look at B-Kind! B-Kind was produced by Jada Toys (creator of Cutie Pops) in 2021 along with the non-profit company Kindess.org.

Similar to Zeenie, the dolls were 12.5 inches tall with 11 points of articulation and made from eco-friendly recyclable materials. They released 5 dolls initially (Brianna, Koral, Ivy, Nora & Daisy) and added a 6th doll (Hope) to the lineup. Each doll fought from a particular cause ranging from ending bullying, to saving the oceans, and came with a DIY kit that reflected the doll's unique passions. Brianna even comes with a DIY for an additional outfit!

Daisy, Brianna and Nora all got a second release with a refreshed face-up and a new outfit but unlike the first release these dolls did not come with DIY kits. There were also little dolls produced that were 6 inches tall with 5 points of articulation that looked similar to Brianna, Koral, and Ivy.

The dolls were speculated to be discontinued as the B-Kind website was taken down and the Facebook page stopped posting in 2023.

So what the hell? They were promising doll lines with unique concepts, good articulation and adorable dolls - why would they be discontinued? The sad truth is that the doll industry is a RUTHLESS one! and as sweet as a doll line created by a mother & daughter duo is, they don't stand a chance when their opponents are Mattel and MGA Entertainment. A doll being successful and obtaining multiple years of fresh releases doesn't really rely on quality and instead on how much shelf space they can get in stores. When you think about the sheer amount of space Mattel and MGA Entertainment take up alone, you can see how the system is rigged against them.

I hope that one day we can have better avenues to purchase dolls that don't rely on trying to compete with an industry giant who has been unbeatable for over a century. It's genuinely a travesty that dolls with as much heart as these dolls do fail because success is simply an impossible feat.

Updated 100 Memorable Skating Programs

Back in 2018, I created the original version of this list. (You can find the master post here.) Since 2024 marks my 30th year as an official fan of figure skating and there have been some more great programs created since the last time, I thought it was about time to update the list in honor of World Ice Skating Day. Same rules apply as last time:

Only senior competitive programs starting from the 1993-1994 season are eligible, since that's the first season I really started watching figure skating.

Each skater may only be listed once, unless a partner/discipline switch is involved.

Choice of music may also not be repeated. (Yes, there are two James Bond programs on the list, but Yuna and Wakaba use different music for the most part, so I'm letting it slide.)

I debated long and hard about whether or not I should still include programs from skaters who have proven themselves to be not so great people. I'm someone who has little difficulty separating the art from the artist, so in the end, I decided to keep them listed (although most of them got knocked down a few pegs). This list is more about the choreography than the skater anyway, although there are certainly some problematic choreographers out there, too. (Looking at you especially, Morozov!) So, just because a skater is listed doesn't mean that I'm a fan of them or that I condone their actions! I just think certain programs are still great regardless of the skaters' terrible behavior off the ice.

Also to the nen, i imagine you could both make weapons and stuff (make it not liquid using the iron in blood or smth) and move the blood, idk how to explain it but, when the blood is circulating in your oponents body, you can move it (while its still circulating) and consequently move the body of your oponent.

✩ Okay so to start very uhh originally, you guys met at the hunter exam, so you travel with Gon and him.

✩ Maybe you met during the third phase since you fell into the same room as them

✩ Of course they didn't really trust you at first, since it is the hunter exam and they should be cautious, but when you got stuck in the room for 50 hours, you bonded, since you were the same age as Gon and Killua.

The Commander was more interested in science in concept than he was in practicality. He liked explosions and chemical reactions and...explosions! When Jimmy started talking about what all the little gears and gizmos do, internal hardware and whatnot, the Commander often tuned it out. He would just stare and stare and stare at Jimmy, almost longingly. The way he got all exasperated when asked about science stuff. How his eyes would (literally) light up with excitement. How happy he seemed, just to be sharing his knowledge with someone else. The good vibes and energies were so nice to just sit there and soak in.

“Spengs!?” Ray didn’t mean to sound so bemused, but it wasn’t often that he saw Egon outside of work. They’d known each other since college, and Ray wasn’t entirely sure that Egon didn’t still live on campus. But here he was, in the dead of night. Ray, realizing this wasn’t as much of a big deal as he was convinced it was, let out a frustrated breath. He motioned with his hand. “Get inside, it’s freezing out!” Egon obliged. Much like a vampire, Egon wasn’t one to enter a house without being invited in, even if he’d been in said house before, and was given express permission to barge in whenever he liked. “Don’t send a Spengler to do a Venkman’s job,” Ray liked to joke. Once inside, true to form, Egon waited until Ray gave him permission to “make yourself at home” before sitting down. From the kitchen, he called, “You want anything to drink?”

Ray pressed his forehead to Egon’s in a reassuring way. Ray was never very good at clear verbal communication on an intimate level, and when it came to expressions of appreciation, or love, most of the time he just seized up. He loved Egon so dearly, and he wished he could say all the things that were in his head; all the things he knew Egon needed to hear. But his mind was either scrambled to no end, or it felt completely blank. He felt guilty about it, because logically, if he talked so much anyway, it should be easy. He only wished it was. Sometimes, all he could really do to show Egon how much he cared was to hold him. In Egon’s head, that was enough.

The way Egon looked at him was enough to make Ray crumble to the ground. His heart pounded in his chest, and he felt young again. In his 20s, when him and Egon had met, their studies were the only things they were supposed to be concerned with. They would meet in each other’s dorms, narrowly avoiding Ray’s nuisance roommate, and help each other prepare for tests. Soon enough, it changed. It all changed because Ray caught Egon looking at him in the way he tended to do. Knowing that he’d never be looked at like that again, Ray became somber, and the fleeting lonesome feeling filled his heart again. The look so filled with admiration that it was almost an out-of-body experience. The look that made the insecurities disappear and reappear with fluctuating frequency. The look that made him think, “This face? This body? This soul? You want me?” but allowed every question mark to melt when Egon’s hand brushed his arm. In his isolated months, Ray’s self-image had no doubt deteriorated back to that time. Even with a hand on his face, he felt himself thinking, “This old face? This old body? This old soul? You want me?”

In my thoughts, a swirl of colors surrounds me. I am an abstract concept within myself, and Egon, who sits adjacent to me in my reality, is surrounding me on every side, watching me with a million eyes. I want to be his only objective. A primal urge rushes through me and I feel overwhelmed, though I am sitting still. A muddled tango of feeling, literally proverbial, yet conceptually literal, as the figures in my mind dance around my stand-in and become more distorted, until they are inky black snakes slithering towards me. I feel shame, and abandonment; not that it has happened, but that it could. Where it is all coming from, I cannot place, but I cannot make it stop. My mind and heart race in syncopation until I’m no longer sure I’m human.

Eleven roses littered the ground, bruised by boots, sunken in soil. Petals were perturbed, stems were severed. A stone engraved; 8 digits and a name. No quote, no relatives, no “loved by many” messages. 8 digits and a name. No service was held for the man under the dirt, being eaten by the inhabitants of the home his body invaded.  Leaves crunched beneath the shoes of a man who’d walked the same path almost a dozen times before. He approached the stone to greet it, to pretend he was speaking to the one lying beneath it, to continue maintaining some placebo of a connection. As he kneeled next to the grave, he felt his lip begin to tremble. 35 years ago, he was alive, and they talked every day. 15 years ago, he was alive, and they talked whenever possible. Two years ago, he was alive, and Ray should’ve called.

But Egon said nothing. He leaned closer to Ray, clearly unsure of himself. Ray could feel his own heart beat, and he swore he could hear them both. Their noses almost touching, Egon breathed in softly, then let out a small nervous sigh as his eyes flew around Ray’s face, looking for any sign of discomfort so he could pass off what he was doing as something inconspicuous without verbal confrontation. He felt so pathetic; he was like a teenage boy with a crush on a girl, except he was a grown man, and Ray was not a girl, and these alterations to the trope formula only made him feel more terrified. After a beat, he said, “May I…” and then he forgot how to speak. He was paralyzed by the fear of rejection, and he didn’t want to finish the sentence. Egon hated feeling vulnerable; he thought Ray was vulnerable enough for the both of them. Now he felt as exposed as ever, like an outside dog during winter at night.

“I love you,” Ray responded earnestly. He’d said this a lot tonight: a couple times at the museum, a few times as they walked to the car, many times on the way home. But he hadn’t yet said it to Egon, alone. It was always “I love you guys,” “I love both of you,” “I love my friends.” A couple times, Egon had considered telling him to shut up. Not that he was jealous. Not that he would ever admit it if he was, which he wasn’t. Egon wasn’t jealous. He didn’t care that the attention wasn’t on him and him alone. He didn’t silently grit his teeth at the simple fact that Ray had enough love to go around, or that he enjoyed expressing this love. Egon was not jealous. He wasn’t. Not at all. Despite this, upon hearing the words, a palpable sense of adoration filled his chest, and his face was so warm he couldn’t blame it on the steam.

Ray held his trusty Zippo lighter in his hand. Old faithful. Sure, Bic lighters had become more common overtime, but why exchange comfort for style? He had closed all the windows. He didn’t want a Story of an Hour revelation. Though, this was unrealistic; nothing could change his disposition, no matter how retrospectively he stared at the sky. Another reason he closed the windows was that the urge to jump through one of them repeatedly was stronger than he cared to admit to even himself. What else could he do in solitude except to break every bone in his body trying to justify his survival? What else could he do now? Flick…flick. Open…closed. He glanced at the door that no one was going to walk through. He looked at the kitchen where no food would be made. There was no saving grace this time. Egon was dead. He couldn’t just take a cab home from the afterlife. Ray had been in the business long enough to know that much. Death is permanent. His leg bounced like he was waiting for something. Every sound he heard made his heart drop. He was an anxious dog lamely waiting for his owner’s return, even though it had been a year. He didn’t have a concept of time. Egon left just last week, right? He’ll come back, right? Flick, flick. Open, closed.

I’m stuck with this life!” And then the room became silent. The world stood still, as if it, as well as them, was waiting for one of them to walk out the door and never come back. But then, something shifted. Ray’s breath wavered as the echo of what he had said made its way off of the wall and into his brain. “I don’t…I didn’t mean that.” He whispered. “What am I saying?” Ray stared at his hands, unclenching his fists. Egon stood up, concerned. Ray covered his face with his hands, letting out choking sobs as he fell to the floor.

Maybe it was the way that Egon smelled. Like pages of a book, bathed in vanilla. Maybe it was the way his mouth tasted. Always like something sweet. Always. No matter what it was, Ray found it hard to act normal around Egon; it was nearly impossible. They’d only known each other for a year and a semester, but that was enough for Ray. The metal pipe at his feet was dented to oblivion, but still retained its shape. The man holding the pipe, dead on the ground, was not yet beyond recognition. His wounds – a gash across his stomach, scratches and bites in his arms and legs – were no longer gushing blood, yet the wide-eyed expression on his face screamed silently, as if he could still feel what was done to him. Herbert looked at him, feeling something unfamiliar creeping into himself and reverberating throughout his ribcage. His heart was beating hard and uncomfortably as he knelt down. The beaming fluorescents were giving him a headache, or he was allergic to something in the air. He thought that was why his eyes began to water as he took in the battered face of Dan Cain.

He was a flower, and there was a shoe crushing his spine and his petals, destroying everything that made him special. And the flower was on top of a tripwire that set off a bomb. He wasn’t worried about weakness; he was weak all the time. But opening his ribcage up and letting someone poke and prod around at his heart…sure, surgeons did it all the time, but what if he loved someone who didn’t know what they were doing? He knew he was beautiful. But if that was beauty, well, he would rather have been an amorphous blob, hibernating in a cellar, alone, with no reflective surfaces. Why did he have to choose between being beautiful and being a man? When House—Greg—said he was beautiful, it always meant something different. It felt different. Adonis-like. With the qualities of the feminine beauty he once admonished himself to be rid of, but harnessing them in a masculine way. It was strange, incredibly so. There was still a tinge of the old meaning (how could there not be?), that made Wilson wince when he thought about it for too long. But, when the man who had known him as Dr. James Wilson for the past 20 years had his head between his legs, gripping his hips and thighs for dear life, it was hard to believe he was anything other than a man. What a strange world.

Wilson had lied: he was not at House’s mercy. He chose to play by House’s rules. Wilson was the one trying to keep him around.

Wilson caught himself whimpering as he breathed it in.  I need to get a hold of myself.  Easier said – thought – than done. Wilson turned the pillow vertically, allowing it to be parallel to his body so he could put his arm around it and hug it close to himself. He nuzzled his face into it like a cat. Once again, he was intending to go back to sleep, but suddenly, the scent felt like it was getting stronger. Maybe he was just drifting into a place between sleep and consciousness where all sensory input was impossibly intense. Or maybe he just missed House so badly that he was having olfactory hallucinations.

But, maybe if your hopeless romantic boyfriend was getting what he needed on all sides of his life, the tension in his shoulders would ease. That’s all you really wanted for him: to see him relax. Soon enough, a mischievous idea formed in your head. Maybe we can all get a little something out of this. But it couldn’t be presented like it was your idea. Oh, no, no, NO! Absolutely not. You didn’t want him to think it was for you…even if it kind of was.

House came with a shout that melted into a groan. Wilson slowed to a halt and bent down, kissing the skin of House’s cheek that was beginning to bloom red, kissing the beginnings of tears that threatened to fall. An apology went unspoken, but Wilson understood it regardless. He just continued to kiss the man’s face until they joined their lips together, and all was forgiven.

Okay, I know I'm a few months late on this news but let's start this new year with something that could be nice.

Last summer, Mattel has renewed the trademark for Ever After High.

At first, there is no reason to get excited. Maybe it's just to prevent another company from using the trademark to do something with it (. But I read that Mattel did not renew the trademark even though it had expired since at least 2021. Why?

If you have been following me for a while, you know that I don't believe in a come back for Ever After High. Or more precisely, I don't think Ever After High will come back as the way we knew it.

Most people are hoping for the return of the beautiful animated series (after Mattel ignored emails from Studio Guru, I doubt they'll be up for producing EAH content again), the return of the dolls on the shelves (Why would Mattel risk losing the Disney Princess license again when EAH is one of the reasons they lost this easy money stream?) or even a crossover with the G3 of Monster High (which, I admit, would have a better chance of happening... even though Monster High has always been more popular than our fairy tale franchise!)

BUT...

With what happened last year with My Scene, I see a new option : What if Ever After High came back as collector dolls on Mattel Creation website?

Think about it.

Since 2020, Mattel has been releasing G1 dolls of Monster High on its website very regularly... and it's working well! (Besides, I feel sorry for the fans because with the releases that arrive every 2 weeks and the regular problems with buyer-bots on Mattel Creation, they must be struggling with their budget and mental health.) They can sell a doll at a collector price (which isn't always equals the quality of a "collector doll" but whatever) and they know they will please those who are willing to pay for a product that will tickle their nostalgia.

A release on Mattel Creation means also there would be no competition with Disney dolls since it would be a online release, and that Disney Princesses and Disney Descendants dolls are mainly sold in stores (at least for the US, we don't have the new Descendants dolls here in my country). In short, they don't take too many risks. And if it works, they can consider making it a regular release.

It's just a theory, of course.

But I think it's more likely to happen than a reboot. (Even if the return of Cupid in Monster High G3 gives some hope...)

Guide to watch Violet Evergarden :

Violet Evergarden, a light novel Series that was written by Kana Akatsuki and illustrated by Akiko Takase.

KA Esmua Bunko published the first Novel in December 25, 2015 and in 2018 the Anime came out with 1 season and 13 episodes full of emotions that brought tears to most watchers and fans. (Including me)

VE didn’t end there, more content followed with the first movie: Eternity and the Auto Memories Doll (2019)

And with the final movie and what is the final of VE: Violet Evergarden The movie (2020)

And the last thing that we have got till this day, hopefully one day more, is an special extra episode of VE that came out in 2021.

But what is Violet Evergarden even about?

The Plot and key themes to look out for:

VE is about Violet Evergarden, a forced former child soldier, who served in the "great war", who has been disconnected from her emotions since she can remember (and without her conciously knowing that) . Violet did not have a name before the age of 14-15 and was not seen as a human but as a weapon, including by herself.

However, now that the war is over Violet became a Auto Memories Doll, a women who writes beautifully written letters for those who cannot.

Violet’s journey begins after she and Major Gilbert lose each other in the final battle of the war.

The series touches on heavy topics such as ptsd, as we get many many flashbacks from Violet in the battles she was in and from side characters.

loss, many characters in VE have lost loved ones ( lovers, friends, family) Violet who was saved by major Gilbert Bougainvillea that thought her how to read and write but now they lost one another.

The life after a War, from her and side characters pov's.

But not only was the war a key factor but also many environmental and situational based issues for a factor of loss.

Human connection, the understanding of emotions and making true genuine connections with other souls.

survivor guilt, Violet who survived the war but many others did not and how she learns, copes and heals from them.

Acceptance, how people find closure with what happened to them.

Loneliness, how loneliness is portrayed in VE.

The true meaning of love, Violet who wants to know what love means and how to recognise the different forms of love and how people express love in there own individual ways.

As the series continues, we see that everybody she meets, that they help her and she helps them in some ways.

Side characters, details and the Episode mins:

Most episode are about 24 minutes long, the side characters are very important as they play a big part in Violets development in her journey and growth just like she is also a major factor in there growth and development.

Details: In VE there are many hidden details, many of the characters names/ last names have a special meaning connected to there identity/character. They often or not have a flower name that has a special meaning.

The songs: the opening song is basically a letter to major Gilbert, and mostly all of the songs represent the inside world of VE.

The subtle background details can also be more often or not be a foreshadowing of something or show a meaning for the inside of the character interest, intentions and or feelings.

Where should you start?

If you don't want to read then start with the series, it is mostly in violets pov, how she observes the world around her or the side characters pov's.

Like it was mentioned, the series just like the movies touches on complicated topics. If any of those might be triggering for you then you should watch it with an adult or someone togehter with you.

However since VE has light novels that came out first, you should concider reading it too.

Most light novels that got an adaptation have more Informations about side and main characters in the novel that, for some reasons, weren't included in the adaptation. And VE was no exception to this.

Plus Reading is good for the brain and the brain is activly working. (With scenarios and voices that you imagine occurred)

Movie or extra Episode?

What I recommend is to continue with the Extra Episode (2021) it is set after the series.

In the first movie (Eternity and the auto memory's doll (2019)) is after the series like the extra ep. But it is unknowing to us if it occured exactly after the extra ep. Or if the extra ep. Was taking place in the movie somehow. (there is a small time skip in the movie)

The final movie:

VE's final masterpice was It's final.

The final movie (2020) is what you should watch in the end and is what is also the end of the VE series.

The movie takes place after the time skips of 'Eternity and the auto memory's doll' and is an emotional rollercoster, so no mascara or make up on because your tears will be uncontrollable.
