It's my blorbos Pinoko and Shinji listening to music!!! Pinoko is showing Shinji some of her faves and Shinji is into them

The reason I commissioned this is bc they both use music to cope, but in different ways, and the thought just would NOT leave me alone.

Pinoko is a young woman trapped in a child's body, and while she genuinely enjoys the music, I can't help but think she also uses it to feel more normal. Hence why she's the one sharing it- I feel like she understands somewhat how Shinji feels, and wants to share her happy place with him.

Meanwhile Shinji uses music as an escape. He's had a hard break of things, and he's only 14. Listening to music lets him take his mind off of things for a while. He also doesn't really have friends, so having someone share something he considers kinda private with him is really meaningful in his eyes.
