Rambling under the cut!! Positive ramblings but things I'd prefer only ppl who actually read my posts look at lol. If ur under 18 please don't read!! Talking abt an inappropriate scene from a TV show I like.

The scene in Madam Kaji's pleasure house in Blue Eye Samurai drives me absolutely CRAZY (in a good way), so sometimes I'll go back and rewatch just that scene, which I did today. And Oh my G O D you can not convince me that this scene isn't foreshadowing Mizu's bisexuality. Bc She sees plenty of new/odd kinks and fetishes in the pleasure house and has no reaction to nearly all of them in the moment. EXCEPT. Except the swordsman who's having a threesome with both a man and a woman. Every other kink we get one shot of her looking in, and the she moves on. This one, she doesn't react to the samurai being slapped or spanked by the woman, but then we hear her react and see her pupil shrink when the 3rd partner, a man, steps into view. And after that reaction we cut back to the scene, the samurai being kissed and gently touched by both the man and the woman being played zoomed in and in slow motion. That clearly means something to her that the other things she saw didn't. I think it's also extra valuable to note that the samurai she sees is one we watched easily, coldly without flare, kill a man in a duel. That's not a wannabe swordsman or a rich man boasting his skills. That's a genuine swordsman. One willing to act in cold blood. And yet... here he is soft. He is indulgent, and his preferences don't stop at "one" or "the other." He allows himself to have both. (GODUH This scene makes me crazy is makes me CRAZY!!!!)

Quick vent, not a big deal

I get frustrated when I can recognize a flaw in my behavior but can't get myself to do something different. A friend of mine is clearly in a really upset mood today, and we went to dinner like we normally do, and for most of it I just sat in silence. It was a whole group of us, it's not like I was ignoring her, but I wasn't helping. And by now I've been able to recognize that when people are upset around me I just shut down, which I know is wrong of me to do. It's not helpful, it's just going to make the other person feel worse, I know that. And I'm pretty damn confident that I can pinpoint the exact thing in my childhood that has caused me to be like this. And I hate that I recognize it but can't fix it, because in the moment the fear of doing or saying anything at all that might POSSIBLY make that upsetness worse or directed at me or my fault takes over everything. I feel so shitty that when my friends are upset I get scared of them. I should feel sympathy. I should be trying to make them feel better. But I'm just scared, and I'm silent, and it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy because I know my silence is just making things worse.
