1: What is a scene that really got to you?
in the anime it's right before Mogami arc, there's this scene where Mob is supposed to exorcise a peaceful ghost family, and he doesn't want to do it so bad that he starts shaking. and that GETS me. the social pressure of the people who cant see the ghosts snapping at him. Reigen trying to be nonchalant, just wanting to get out of there and eat soba. Dimple trying to get the ghosts to go evil to give Mob an easier choice (sir??? can we talk about that???). and Mob in the center of it all, standing quite still, shaking. hhhhhh
this is Doesn't Express His Emotions And Rarely Does Things Of His Own Will kid. and he speaks up. he speaks up (quietly) (voice shaking) and says he doesn't think these ghosts have to be exorcised, in front of kids who can't see the ghosts and a master who claims the ghosts are too weak and inconsequential to see. Mob looks at those ghosts and he sees something like himself, invisible, peaceful, people just wanting to exist for a little while, and the "normal people" present are calling them creepy and demanding that he erase their existence. like. no wonder he's so shaken???
5: What battle shook you most?
I don't think I've mentioned this before, but the first time I tried watching mp100, when I was little, I fled the show on episode five (Teru fight) because I was so scared of ???%. I thought Mob was possessed. Looking back on my reaction... profoundly disturbs me. I literally demonized him. It's so easy to dehumanize people, especially people who behave abnormally in daily life (like Mob), when they're doing something scary. I had to become more mature—more familiar with mental illness and neurodivergence, and more intentionally gentle with myself and others—before I came back to mp100 and saw ???% as an aspect of a person, not as a Scary Thing. sorry, Shigeo.
The battle that shakes me the most now is the one against Touichirou Suzuki, because it's so complex and just a bit morally ambiguous. Mob goes from emotion to emotion so fast, and he's trying to put his resolution to use his powers to protect people into practice but he's not used to it yet! he's trying to accept being hard on people and he slips! he stumbles he enjoys it too much he despairs he twists Touichirou like a rag (EXACTLY WHAT MOGAMI DID TO MINORI'S BODY, BTW,,) and he nearly gives up and he can't find a way to "win"! it's!! !!!!! YIKES
18: What headcanons do you have for (character)?
feel free to give me a specific character if you want but!! here's a really specific headcanon for you
I think Teru enjoys horror movies because his nervous system doesn't know how to relax. literally. when you've been traumatized and on edge for a long time, relaxing starts to feel like being unsafe because if you relaxed in your former situation you were unsafe. so Teru is fleeing from relaxation; his mind HAS to be occupied at all times he HAS to be exercising his brain's "how do we strategize a way out of Dangerous Situation" capability all the time, otherwise he feels like he's Missing Something and Going To Die. watching horror is a way for him to safely put himself in a position of feeling like he's in danger again and allowing his brain to cycle its familiar pattern of fear -> creative planning under pressure -> feeling of power and safety again. critically, Teru is COMPLETELY UNAWARE that he is doing this. all he knows is that it feels nice to watch horror movies.

my ideal timkon don't get together until they've both already done some queer realizations and dated other guys a little bit, in part because on tim's end, i think he's been in love with kon since he was 17, but at 17 tim didn't even know he was bisexual, forget anything else. and his feelings for kon were so big but also so constant that he didn't even realize they were there or significant because they've always been there and been huge. for years. so he putters along and does his time in the torment nexus (the closet) and languishes a bit but slowly starts to figure it out.
meanwhile kon dates someone, mostly like omg im dating a guy this is ALLOWED !??!?! and its pretty lowkey and casual and doesnt last bc like . super identity issues, right. kon would Never just tell someone, but secrets and casual relationships dont last long etc etc. but just the entire principle of kon dating someone and then being like yeah idk im not really feeling it like hes nice and all but i think hes more interested in like… yknow, my hot bod, than me. its whatever tho. and tim just being SOOOOO mad that someone would date kon and not absolutely adore him. tim will not be unpacking why hes so mad about kon having a shitty boyfriend. obviously its just bc kons his bestie and deserves better. (😶)
so he's just grouchily tinkering on some upgrade for his car to get the grumpy energies out. like WHATEVER! (angrily turns socket wrench) he's not saying kon should dump the guy or anything (angrily turns socket wrench) but he's just SAYING, kon can do BETTER!!!!! (angrily turns socket wrench) and kon DESERVES better!!! kon deserves someone who will treat him RIGHT!!!!! (angrily turns socket wrench) like if TIM was gonna fuck kon he wouldn't do it like a goddamn quickie and just fucking leave (angrily grabs the next size socket and scoots further under the car) like kon OBVIOUSLY doesn't like that so why won't this guy GET THAT!!!! (angry tinkering noises) if he's that shallow he can go find himself a sexy body pillow to screw!!! leave kon alone!!!!
and cassie sitting on a chair nearby is just like. sorry what was that? "if i was gonna fuck kon"? did you just say--hey tim? hey. can you go back a step?
and tim's just. obviously this is a hypothetical everyone considers about kon. look at him he's . you know. besides, tim's just talking as his best friend who wants the best for him! ugh stop trying to read into it cassie, that's not the POINT--

hehehehe finally got these done!! Reboot is so fun to draw; I swear drawing him just bursting into laughter immediately made me feel so much better about literally everything 🥰
He has such a pretty smile, especially when it's genuine. I love him being silly and giggly 🥰 I want him to just be able to laugh and be happy
.....buuuut at the same time I also want to put him through so many of The Horrors(TM), so maybe my wants shouldn't be trusted XD
As always, Welcome Home belongs to Clown (partycoffin), and Reboot!Wally/the Reboot AU belongs to @bloodrediscream!💖💖

yeah but do u think sometimes a strawhat will tell Luffy specifically to ask (tell) Zoro to come with them when they're on an island to go and explore because 1. it's easier that way if they do need him for something and he doesn't want to come, so then no one has to bribe him with booze 2. he never ever tells him no, most of the time he sees Luffy coming his way with his backpack all ready full of food and a smile on his face and he's already groaning something about "what a high maintenance captain" while he's taking his swords and 3. it's funny as all hell how the rest of the time he'll try to say no, to like, appear tough or something and after like 3.5 seconds he's saying "yes i'm coming" anyway

It’s kinda funny that Jason is, in every sense of the word, the most normal Robin. Unironically, there wasn’t anything uniquely special about him before he was Robin. He was a street kid. His dad was a goon (which makes sense for Gotham. It’s a goon breeding ground) and his adoptive mom was a girl who fell in love with the bad boy, got disowned by her upper middle class parents and adopted her boyfriend’s infant son. Even his biological mother isn’t anything special! She was just a doctor who ended up becoming corrupt.
Jason Todd was no circus kid who could do an impossible signature trick. He wasn’t being scouted by some evil hidden organization.
He wasn’t the rich boy genius who lived next door.
He’s not the son of a supervillain (as lame as cluemaster is, he still *counts*).
He’s not the secret son of Bruce Wayne.
And he’s not a metahuman, nor did he led a whole organization of teens to fight when Batman couldn’t.
He’s the most regular boy to ever enter become a hero in Gotham. He wanted to do good things for the sake of doing good. He grew up poor with regular parents, where bad things happened to them. The kinds of things that could happen to *any* person living in Gotham.
There is nothing about him, pre-Robin and as Robin, that makes him Not Like Regular Kids.
His dad was a goon (who, depending on the run, was either killed by Two-Face OR. Just sent to prison and killed in prison! Which makes his backstory even PLAINER-) and his mother was a drug addict with cancer. Jason ends up homeless, and almost steals the bat mobile tires. The only thing that makes him stand out from any other tragedy befallen kid in Gotham is the fact he was bold enough to do that, get Batman’s attention, and continue to be bold enough to go against a crime lord (who was apparently his grandmother, the most interesting person in his family, but since she’s almost never brought up, she’s likely no more significant than a one-issue villain in the crime lord power hierarchy). Batman realized that Jason wasn’t going to really stop, and honestly he kinda grew on him, so he decided to adopt Jason, and eventually allow him to become Robin.
There just isn’t anything amazingly special about his backstory. The few moments where something could have been done to make it more interesting (like his biological mother) but ended up taking the most boring option. You can’t do much of anything now to enhance his past without upsetting much more well established canon, and not without making people wonder “well if his grandmother was such a big name in crime, why hasn’t she been brought up before?”
Jason Todd was a wonderful Robin (providing that he actually has a writer who likes him). He has a golden heart, he’s the voice of reason. He’s everything that a Robin needs to be for Batman. But compared to everyone else, he was nothing special. In a way, his lack of Not Like Regular Kids makes him stand out in a much more subtle way.
As if someone asked the question “Do I need to be someone special to be Robin?” And the answer was “You don’t need to be someone special, you just need to be brave, like Jason Todd was.”
