Recently, I was so lucky to commission @gooseinsoup to draw my two beloved blorbos. I saw their art of Harv in his Ginger Island outfit and it reminded me of the times I'd referenced Lyra and Harvey's honeymoon in both my long fic, and the above excerpt, from my flower dance one-shot.

In my mind, I just knew that Harvey would give her his huge silly hat. They've been talking about taking a trip again. Maybe that will happen in the last few chapters of the long fic...

What you need

In my part of the world it is 2 September. My one-year anniversary of writing Lyra and Harvey. What better way to celebrate than with a chapter update and this amazing art?

I was so very fortunate to commission the incredibly cool and talented @lemon-zesttt for this stunningly beautiful art of Lyra and her Harvey on their second honeymoon.

I have put these two through some tough times in my long fic and so goodness me, they need... no, they deserve this little getaway.

They also need each other.

The details in this piece very honestly take my breath away. The light is simply beautiful. Lyra looks so gorgeous. (Look close at her lil tummy. I love it.) And Harv... well, you can see him. He is delicious.

Some musicians' Great American Songbook enterprises end up as something of a guideline for them to follow up later on. Natalie Cole, for instance, remodelled her career afterwards to diminished results. I mind you, I don't suggest she didn't earn her success – the latter became a belated recognition of her previous work –, yet she fell into the trap of her own making. Some of her albums since her blockbuster tried to capture what made Unforgettable so popular, but Stardust, for instance, lacked that album's patience among other things. Moreover, there were other factors at play during the release of her triumph and some of them couldn't be easily repeated. However, I assume she didn't mind, she preserved the legacy of her father and that was enough.

I wish you didn't have to go

I was so very lucky to commission the great @clarisinne to make a comic from one of my one-shots, in which Harvey does the walk of shame the morning after his first night with Lyra. Anticipating a quiet stroll through town, poor Harvey gets more than he bargains for.

Like every Harvey obsessive, I've been eating up the adventures of Cringefail and her Harvey, and so feel absolutely thrilled and honoured to have had the opportunity for my own words to be made into this comic. I am absolutely in love with it.

Ahh that time I wrote a story about Harvey and the farmer as the perfect couple and then nearly broke them up, even writing a line somewhere that the townsfolk were waiting on the edges with a dose of 'I told you so'.

i dont think ppl realize just how much of an ATROCIOUS wifeguy harvey would be after the farmer marries him. and like god forbid you have kids with him. he is “stick figure family sticker on the back of the minivan” waiting to happen

like /w sdv a lot of the other bachelor/ettes are just kinda like “cool that we’re married now this is a sweet gig” but like harvey is ALL up in yuor business all the time abt how becoming a porch swinging tradwife living on a farm has saved his lonely failcringe doctor life and he loves you so so much and please do not shit to death in the skull caverns and die bc he will die too of a random anime mom illness like some kind of pair bonded albatross

and like how fucking annoying this would be for the residents pelican town too. like /w the town so full of broken ass families harvey and the farmer would absolutely be the pair that everybody goes to bed hoping and praying for messy tearful divorce . they wish harvey would go back to barely interacting with anyone outside of the clinic bc now hes prowling the square like a starving cheetah chasing down anybody in his AOE range to lock them into an unskippable cutscene abt how his kids are so so cute and look at this picture of my husband look at this picture of her look at it now
