Due to the injury Junta Miyawaki sustained at "All Together Again" last week and due to Shuhei Taniguchi's defection to REAL; match cards for "Sunny Voyage 2023 in Osaka" and "Star Navigation 2023 in Korakuen" have been changed.

Now, here's the revised match cards for both events. Starting off with "Sunny Voyage 2023 in Osaka" taking place tomorrow (June 18, 2023).

Opening Match has been changed from a 8-man tag to a standard tag match as it'll be Stallion Rogers and Kai Fujimura facing Mohammed Yone and Super Crazy

Match #4 has been changed as Alejandro replaces Atsushi Kotoge to team up with Dante Leon to face the team of HAYATA and Eita.

Match #5 has been changed as Shuhei Taniguchi and Daiki Inaba have been added to what is now a 8-man tag-team match. It'll be all four members of REAL facing off against Kaito Kiyomiya, Masa Kitamiya, Yoshiki Inamura, and Daiki Inaba. And note about Kaito Kiyomiya. This 8-man tag match will be one of his last matches with Pro Wrestling NOAH before he heads over to NJPW to compete in G1 Climax 33 starting on July 15th. As of this typing, his final NOAH event before the G1 will be on July 9th in Hachioji. He is expected to return to the NOAH ring on September 3rd in Osaka.

And the main event has been changed as Atsushi Kotoge replaces Junta Miyawaki to team up with Takashi Sugiura and Naomichi Marufuji to face GLG members Jake Lee, Jack Morris, and Tadasuke.

Now...here's the changed match card for "Star Navigation 2023: Kenoh vs. Go Shiozaki" taking place on June 22nd in Korakuen Hall. Note that this card is not yet finalized. That finalization will come pending on what happens in Osaka on June 18th.

Originally slated for nine matches, match card for the event has been decreased to 8 as the original match #2 (Shuhei Taniguchi vs. Stallion Rogers) has been combined with the original match #3 (REAL+Kazuyuki Fujita vs. Masa Kitamiya, Yoshiki Inamura, Daiki Inaba, and Mohammed Yone) to become one whole match.

Also, Atsushi Kotoge replaces Junta Miyawaki in 6-man tag action. He was originally not booked to compete in this event.

Navigating Deep Space by Starlight

On August 6, 1967, astrophysicist Jocelyn Bell Burnell noticed a blip in her radio telescope data. And then another. Eventually, Bell Burnell figured out that these blips, or pulses, were not from people or machines.

The blips were constant. There was something in space that was pulsing in a regular pattern, and Bell Burnell figured out that it was a pulsar: a rapidly spinning neutron star emitting beams of light. Neutron stars are superdense objects created when a massive star dies. Not only are they dense, but neutron stars can also spin really fast! Every star we observe spins, and due to a property called angular momentum, as a collapsing star gets smaller and denser, it spins faster. It’s like how ice skaters spin faster as they bring their arms closer to their bodies and make the space that they take up smaller.

The pulses of light coming from these whirling stars are like the beacons spinning at the tops of lighthouses that help sailors safely approach the shore. As the pulsar spins, beams of radio waves (and other types of light) are swept out into the universe with each turn. The light appears and disappears from our view each time the star rotates.

After decades of studying pulsars, astronomers wondered—could they serve as cosmic beacons to help future space explorers navigate the universe? To see if it could work, scientists needed to do some testing!

First, it was important to gather more data. NASA’s NICER, or Neutron star Interior Composition Explorer, is a telescope that was installed aboard the International Space Station in 2017. Its goal is to find out things about neutron stars like their sizes and densities, using an array of 56 special X-ray concentrators and sensitive detectors to capture and measure pulsars’ light.

But how can we use these X-ray pulses as navigational tools? Enter SEXTANT, or Station Explorer for X-ray Timing and Navigation Technology. If NICER was your phone, SEXTANT would be like an app on it.  

During the first few years of NICER’s observations, SEXTANT created an on-board navigation system using NICER’s pulsar data. It worked by measuring the consistent timing between each pulsar’s pulses to map a set of cosmic beacons.

When calculating position or location, extremely accurate timekeeping is essential. We usually rely on atomic clocks, which use the predictable fluctuations of atoms to tick away the seconds. These atomic clocks can be located on the ground or in space, like the ones on GPS satellites. However, our GPS system only works on or close to Earth, and onboard atomic clocks can be expensive and heavy. Using pulsar observations instead could give us free and reliable “clocks” for navigation. During its experiment, SEXTANT was able to successfully determine the space station’s orbital position!

We can calculate distances using the time taken for a signal to travel between two objects to determine a spacecraft’s approximate location relative to those objects. However, we would need to observe more pulsars to pinpoint a more exact location of a spacecraft. As SEXTANT gathered signals from multiple pulsars, it could more accurately derive its position in space.

So, imagine you are an astronaut on a lengthy journey to the outer solar system. You could use the technology developed by SEXTANT to help plot your course. Since pulsars are reliable and consistent in their spins, you wouldn’t need Wi-Fi or cell service to figure out where you were in relation to your destination. The pulsar-based navigation data could even help you figure out your ETA!

None of these missions or experiments would be possible without Jocelyn Bell Burnell’s keen eye for an odd spot in her radio data decades ago, which set the stage for the idea to use spinning neutron stars as a celestial GPS. Her contribution to the field of astrophysics laid the groundwork for research benefitting the people of the future, who yearn to sail amongst the stars.

To be fair, knowing the stars & their positions actually has a very practical use, especially in the desert or on the high seas, & any Dorf would likely be very aware of it.

When you don't have GPS & live your life on a vast, sandy plain or a watery expanse, knowing exactly which direction a specific star or constellation is at a specific time of year & in which part of the world or even just in a general location, is extremely useful in navigation. So, if nothing else, I think they'd likely know a lot about astronavigation unless, for whatever reason, his tutors/teachers/the Twitches didn't see such as important for their king to know.

In addition to the "Green Journey 2023 in Nagoya" full match being announced, also announced were match cards for three events in Pro Wrestling NOAH.

June 10th in Yokohama, June 18th in Osaka, and June 22nd in Korakuen Hall. There will also be an event on June 24th covering Kenoh's 15th anniversary in the Pro Wrestling business. Anyway here are the match cards for June 10th in Yokohama at the Yokohama Radiant Hall

Now here is the match card for June 18th in Osaka. As a reminder, pending on the events of "Green Journey 2023 in Nagoya" this match card below is subject to change.

And lastly, here is the match card for June 22nd in Korakuen Hall. Like the previous list, with the exception of two matches; this card will also be subject to change.

For June 22nd only the GHC Junior Tag Championship match and the special singles match between Kenoh and Go Shiozaki are official. Though the rest of the card is official, that is subject to change pending on the events of "Green Journey 2023 in Nagoya".

The June 10th event in Yokohama will air live on Wrestle Universe at 3:00 AM Eastern/4:00 PM Japan Time/2:00 AM Central/12 Midnight Pacific.

The June 18th event in Osaka will air on-demand on Wrestle Universe most likely 3-4 days after the event (June 21st or 22nd).

The June 22nd event in Korakuen Hall will air on ABEMA (for Japanese Commentary) and Wrestle Universe (for English commentary) at 5:15 AM Eastern/6:00 PM Local Time/4:15 AM Central/2:15 AM Pacific.
