Justice League meets the Batfam, but they already knew about them because of Batman ranting about his kids.

In the comics, Batman has implemented that Nightwing should be in charge of the Justice League if something happened to him BEFORE he had adopted Dick (so, when his only legal son was Jason). When Dick is called to help, he learns that people think he's Batman's son because of how Batman speaks about him, and how he is proud of nothing in his life but the man Nightwing has become.

So, let's imagine the batfam thinking they are so secretive and mysterious, and "B, it's time for you to trust your friends and colleagues more", and going to the JL to officially present the Batfam, only for them to cut them and be "You're Batman's kids, everyone knows that. He doesn't shut up about you."

Bruce doesn’t realize he does it, btw. He didn’t clearly stated that they are his kids, that he is their dad, he just starts to talk about them and how proud he is, and how competent they are, and how much he cares about them, when the discussion seems appropriate to do so. But for the rest of the JL, Batman talks about three things: the mission, his kids, and his interests if you are close and it's useful rn (him starting to rant about dinosaurs to Hal when they face dinosaurs is cute). They probably tell new recruits "Batman may seem scary, but he is really just a protective dad. Soon enough, you will hear about his kids".

thhtis might just be a big pet peeve to me but i hate when people write kjsr as someone cold or possessive, i always viewed her character as someone who is actually so soft when it comes to love. i cant see her saying anything awful with intention to her s/o and just prob cherishes each moment and intimacy.

yeah, sara is the victim of some INSANE mischaracterisation... i was informed that some people thought of sara as a karen, of all fucking things, and the psychic damage i took from that statement was unfathomable. it was so horrendously insulting i had to put my phone down and breathe for a solid minute, because sara? being a karen? the peak of entitlement? be so fr. sara struggles to even accept her place within the kujou clan, despite being its golden child. she doesn't know how to be entitled to even love, let alone anything else.

there is a quote, i forget by who, which goes "(s)he had the awkward tenderness of someone who has never been loved, and is forced to improvise", and i think it describes her so well. sara was raised to be takayuki's perfect weapon first, and a person second. for sara, to be a 'kujou' is to be the untouchable general, the prodigal child, the crowfeather kaburaya which heralds nothing but victory for the kujou clan. her place in her 'family' is intrinsically tied to what she can give to them, not who she is as a person. her image of her own worth is so entangled with being needed that she doesn't know how to be anything else. she explicitly states that she has never given any thought to her personal aspirations. never. that's so insane and heartbreaking to me like... my love, you are more than what you can give. so i agree with you on the part that sara would be so, so tender when it comes to love. this is uncharted territory, and she's learning as she goes, but you could never be unloved by her. she knows what that's like, and she could never hurt you the same way.

About 10-15 years ago I went on an Old Who binge. Like, raided Daily Motion, downloaded the full episodes list from Hartnell to Baker and then every episode with the Master or the Rani

And went for every “lost episode”, a bunch of which are on Audible

You know who my favourite was?

I don’t visualise. At all, ever, so I also don’t really remember things in visual aspects, so not being able to visualise what those episodes looked like? Meant nothing to me

There fucking ISN’T video of the first three fucking episodes in that arc. There just isn’t. It’s gone. We have the audio and some stills and some saint has made a kinda audiobook version and then shackled themselves to Audible for some ungodly reason and given us the arc that way

He gave me life and also epic catch was Fine I Guess but someone needs to challenge the Toymaker to a ttrpg, particularly one like DnD or Pathfinder that does not have a win condition because I feel like that would upset him so much but also he wouldn’t notice for like 8 years

SIMM and Dao's Love Language

I'm going to get emotional about KluenDao again because I realised something about how Kluen shows his love for Dao.

(I have a theory that) Dao's primary love language is Acts of Service:

It's the main feature of what he describes when Typhoon asks him what his "type" is.

It's how Dao shows his love for Kluen: doing Kluen's art homework for him and offering to make Kluen's mom's birthday present. It's not (just) about doing art, but specifically because it meets a need that Kluen has.

It's also how Fah and his closest friends show their love for Dao.

Kluen in the "wooing" stage:

From early in the series, Kluen consistently shows his attentiveness and care via 'food/drinks as a metaphor for love', which is also a clear example of Acts of Service because he's providing for needs Dao has in the moment.

These are also both great examples of Acts of Service as Kluen either identifies and addresses a burden that Dao has or preempts a potential source of stress and offers an alternative.

Of course I had to add these moments! Making sure Dao sleeps in a proper bed, re-doing his ankle dressing, the pen + post-it note for his anxiety, and unbuttoning his sleeve so Dao has something to focus his nervous energy on. Note that 3 out of the 4 of these Acts were without (as far as the audience sees) Dao even knowing what Kluen is doing for him.

There's a reason why I find Kluen so very attractive, and it's because Acts of Service is also my love language and damn does Kluen do an amazing job of showing his care for Dao in that way!

Kluen as a boyfriend:

As soon as they become official boyfriends Kluen is constantly finding ways to do things for Dao: walking Dao to class, carrying his stuff, feeding him -- its all very sweet. I had to delete several screenshots because of the image limit jsyk. :( Kluen really does go all out in this way.

Kluen's Acts of Service only seems to escalate in Sky in my Heart. Cooking for Dao, organising a night out for Fah because Dao is worried about Fah, nursing Dao when he's not feeling well (+ the hand feeding TuT).

The cherry on top comes in the Special Episode: Is there anything that encapsulates Acts of Service more than planning to build your boyfriend his dream home, located on the beach because he loves waking up to the sea; promising that he'll have everything he needs to pursue his love of art; even planning to plant a big tree so your boyfriend won't be too hot as he paints outside??

There's so much genuine thoughtfulness and specific consideration for what will make Dao the most happy in this plan.

It's so lovely to see Dao recognise that. He's so grateful, so overwhelmed by Kluen's love (the way you can hear the tears in Dunk's voice when he says his lines - he's such an emotive actor!), not just because it's genuine and means the world to Dao after going through the pain of thinking his love was unrequited, but also because Kluen has learned specifically how to love Dao the way he understands it the best. Kluen literally learned to use the language of love for Dao - both verbally and through his actions.

And this is why I really do think Star in My Mind is genuinely quite a beautiful love story.

I love the constant beef between Fah and Kluen.

And that Daonuea did nothing to squash it (because I secretly think he wanted Fah to harp on Kluen about all the times he had Daonuea crying over him) while Prince was always stepping in to calm Fah down.

I love the couple's shirts and the couple's necklaces AND THE COUPLE'S VACATION, and that everyone got engaged. Oh, and I love that Fah was still being a passive-aggressive asshole towards Kluen to the very end.

So I was sad that Fah and Prince weren't back for the Our Skyy installment (which is probably because Mek is no longer with GMMTV), that Noel was missing (probably because Thor was serving in the monkhood), and that Sean x Maithee didn't set sail (since Satang x Winny and Pawin x Marc seem to be on the train to be paired together again).

I'm going to love anything Joong and Dunk are in, which is partly why I was so willing to watch The Warp Effect beyond Jojo, which I loved.

But I'm hoping that regardless of how Hidden Agenda pans out, that it won't get a special episode or be a part of Our Skyy 15 when the time comes because I need a complete story within the season.

I need Zo to be clueless that Joke likes him and be super upset when he figures out that even his friend(s) was involved in this scheme.

I need Pok and Jeng's arc to begin next week.

I need Kot to tell Pat that he is pro kissing-the-homies.

And I need to know why Wave and Trin have so much sexual tension between them yet have never been in the same room together so far.

I need everything RIGHT NOW!

But I don't need a special episode.

{ OOC } There's a reason that Rick V-79 has always enjoyed spending his birthday. A lot of it comes from comfort. Some of it comes from getting the attention that he craves, having all eyes on him. And just a bit of it is that he likes to have something to celebrate to break up the monotony of living life.

As a child, Rick was subjected to multiple types of abuse. Including having his identity altered and forced into something he wasn't. Though, the main type of abuse he experienced was neglect. He was often ignored by his mother on every other day. Except on the days when he was "bad".

The only time he wasn't ignored were the days leading up to his birthday and on his exact birthday. She would spoil him rotten, buying him new clothes, taking him out to bars (even as a child), even to go visit her friends.

And on the day, he would get presents and a cake.

Due to this, he's come to find comfort in his birthday. In his mind, it's the only day that he's shown love. If people celebrate his birthday, it means that they love him. And not only does he think this way about his birthday, but he thinks it about other people's birthdays as well.

If he's attached to someone, he will be the first to prepare something special for someone's birthday. He will go all out and make sure to spoil that person. It's all he knows how to do in regards to birthdays and he may get upset if someone doesn't want to celebrate.
