Fiddleford Hadron Mcgucket/Stanford Fillbrick Pines:

7) they are bloody adorable together
Luo Binghe/Shen Qingqiu:
Spoilers for: Volumes 2 and 4. Specifically their top/bottom preference and a scene in book 2 where Shen Qingqiu makes a rather desperate getaway.
Shen Qingqiu, after getting his Masters degree is Gay Denial, goes on to undoom the “main character,” Luo Binghe, from narrative misery after simply loving him too powerfully. The misunderstandings that ensue after the Plot forces his hand during an unavoidable canon event are legendary. Shen Qingqiu jumps out a window. Luo Binghe is soft for only one (1) person. Shen Qingqiu is such an expert at dressing everything up as comedy that you might not even notice the tragedy until it sucker punches you into the stratosphere. Luo Binghe, terrifying demon lord, is malewife and likes to do household chores/cook. Shen Qingqiu is a bottom to save Luo Binghe's manhood. They are batshit and its glorious.

"Ford was favored by his father, so he probably has a soft spot for him"
"Stan was abused so he probably hated his father"
Ok so first off, yes, one is favored more than the other, but let it be a reminder that this does not mean ford was treated any better. if y'know fillbrick you know that guy is just using ford for cash money.
Anyway, if you know the stan twins then y'know that those two scenarios I just pull up is 100% false.
If y'know ford than y'know he holds grudges to the people who had wronged him. He still thinks about his childhood bully even tho it has been years ago, he hasn't forgiven stan even tho it has been years ago. He is very stubborn about it.
If y'know stan than y'know he has a soft spot for the people he considered close to him, even tho they have wronged him. He still gives light to his father even tho his father wouldn't even give a speck of affection to him.
In conclusion they both have daddy issues.

Do yall think Ford let's Stan copy his homework so that he at least always has a passing grade after the whole "extra stan for sale" thing that happened when Stan failed a test so that he dosent have to go through that experience again

Ngl I kind of hate Ford haters as much as I hate Mabel haters,
like before book of bill I’m a bit more leniant but people who after BoB are like “boo hoo your muse betrayed you, your boyfriend was a monster🥺” it’s just like did you read the book????
I firmly believe that Ford was an ass, but like ya’ll realized he was abused right?
Bill did the Sci Fi version of roofie-ing your boyfriend and mutilating his body, it wasn’t a “owo toxic yaoi” it was straight up abuse, and practically stated DV.
Not to say you can’t have fun with billford or can’t be pissed at how Ford treats everyone in his life, but I want you to at least acknowledge what gave him those traits.
If you’re going to hate at least do it with nuance.

There’s one last thing Ford has to do before he and Stan are finished packing for their trip. He made sure he had a few hours to himself, had sent Stan into town for some last supplies, and was standing in front of his old photocopier.
Dipper and Mabel had gladly sent him one of Shermie’s old photo albums. And while he had managed to retain one measly picture for the last 40 or so years, it wasn’t the one he needed for what he was about to do.
There, all by herself in the frame, was a picture of their mother. And on the next page, also pictured alone, their father.
He picked one up, set it on the copier, and pressed scan.

"Family Line" by Conan Gray feat. The Pines family
(About Fillbrick) My father never talked a lot
He just took a walk around the block
'Til all his anger took a hold of him
And then he'd hit
(About Caryn) My mother never cried a lot
She took the punches, but she never fought
(This didn't actually happen but they could be Caryn's thoughts) 'Til she said, "I'm leaving, and I'll take the kids"
So she did
(Caryn and Fillbrick together) I say they're just the ones who gave me life
But I truly am my parents' child
(Stan) Scattered 'cross my family line
I'm so good at telling lies
(Caryn's work) That came from my mother's side
(Stan living alone on the road) Told a million to survive
(Stan) Scattered 'cross my family line
God, I have my father's eyes
(Little Ford getting bullied) But my (brother's) sister's when I cry
I can run, but I can't hide
From my family line
(Ford) It's hard to put it into words
(Going home during breaks form college)How the holidays will always hurt
I watch the fathers with their little girls
And wonder what I did to deserve this
How could you hurt a little kid?
I can't forget, I can't forgive you
(About Fiddleford and Bill) 'Cause now I'm scared that everyone I love will leave me
Scattered 'cross my family line
(Ford saying that all he wants is to become a famous scientist when he really just wants to be loved) I'm so good at telling lies
That came from my mother's side
(Surviving in the Multiverse) Told a million to survive
Scattered 'cross my family line
(Ford looking in a mirror while his eye bleeds) God, I have my father's eyes
(Paranoid Ford after the betrayal) But my (brother's) sister's when I cry
I can run, but I can't hide
From my family line
From my family line
(Weirdmageddon) Oh, all that I did to try to undo it
All of my pain and all your excuses
I was a kid but I wasn't clueless
Someone who loves you wouldn't do this
(Memory Gun scene) All of my past, I tried to erase it
(Stan looking at Mabel and Dipper's and him and Ford's pictures) But now I see, would I even change it?
(They switch identities) Might share a face and share a last name, but
We are not the same
(Mabel) Scattered 'cross my family line
(Mabeland) I'm so good at telling lies
That came from my mother's side
(She pretending to accept to become the Gnome Queen) Told a million to survive
(Dipper) Scattered across my family line
(Him and Ford having the same look of amazement and awe when they discover something new) God, I have my father's eyes
(Mabel finding out that he wants to become Ford's apprentice and stay in Gravity Falls) But my sister's when I cry
(Him during Weirdmageddon) I can run, but I can't hide
(Everyone together yey) From my family line
From my family line

This a conversation that's so much more nuanced than people want it to because yes Ford was selfish, yes he prioritized himself, yes he was cruel to Fiddleford and to Stanley but he wasn't some evil disgusting asshole who only cared about himself. He loved Stan, even when he stopped talking to him for years he loved him and still TRUSTED HIM, he never stopped! Ford was being manipulated by Bill and wasn't acting completely in character during that time, notice I didn't say 'completely out of character'? Because while Ford wouldn't have betrayed Fiddleford like that without Bill's manipulation, Bill wouldn't have been able to manipulate him so easily without Ford being selfish and full of himself to start with. He wanted to believe he was special, hell when you grow up with everyone telling you're special and putting expectations on you to succeed, after a while you start to think it yourself. You start to believe that if you can't be who other people want you to be than are you really anybody? Ford is such a well written and fleshed out character, he is self centered and possibly narcissistic, he hurts those that he loves the most and participates in self destructive tendencies.
I'm sick of people acting like Ford was just a black hole tearing apart anything that got to close to him, that he never cared for anyone or anything but Bill and himself. He was a victim, yes he was an asshole but he didn't deserve anything that happened to him when he was with Bill. And I'm tired of people acting like Fiddleford and Stanley were just helpless innocent little babies that Ford scarred. Stanley destroyed Fords project and instead of apologizing or EVEN TELLING HIM, just said, 'yeah big deal now we can do what I want'
Not to mention FIddleford erased Ford's mind more than once and started a fucking cult. Just like how Ford is still to blame (not solely) for how he hurt Fiddleford, Fiddleford is still to blame for how he hurt the towns folk of gravity falls by erasing their minds. Yes if it wasn't for Ford he never would have done that, but Ford didn't make him do it! He didn't make FIddleford create a Pterodactyl robot to go harass Emma-May either. The whole point of Ford and Fidds relationship or Ford and Stan's is that no one person is to blame, they're all at fault.
Fiddauthor in fanon is often doomed toxic unrequited type yaoi, and I DO love some angst, but y'all forget how much Ford loves that guy
"His brilliant mind and amusing quirks have made this task infinitely more enjoyable"
"One of the kindest hearts I've ever seen"
Sorry. From DAY ONE being roommates in college, he ran up to Fiddleford (after he'd been crying and wanting to leave) and was like "I won't sleep until I prove your theory!!"
He was so excited to work with him and be best friends. The adoration is unreal. Fuckass BILL got in his head and turned him against Fiddleford. They were so sweet to each other, and Ford wasn't selfish from the start, but Bill went all Frodo and Gollum on him and Ford screwed up bigtime because of it
"I'm sorry Fiddleford" had been on loop in his head for 30 years, I'm not over that

ROUND 1: POLL #9
Tumblr media Tumblr media

ROUND 1 ALL POLLS [HERE]
PROPAGANDA BELOW
Phoenix Wright/Miles Edgeworth:
One of the best examples of friends to strangers to “enemies” to lovers. Despite being technically enemies they still help each other through the game. The way they talk to each other is extremely telling of their relationship. You can really just feel the tension between these two. The fact Phoenix becomes a lawyer just to have a chance at seeing Edgeworth again(after knowing him for like a few months when they were kids). The whole “unnecessary feelings” line Edgeworth gives. The unwavering trust Phoenix puts in Edgeworth through the last case of the game.
Fiddleford Hadron Mcgucket/Stanford Fillbrick Pines:
1) There was only one bed in the bunker and i will never get over that
2) they had a BIG breakup fight
3) they broke up twice actually (head canon) / they went to college together
4) they drive each other insane (literally) and also Fidds tries to erase Ford's memory so take that as you will
5) they get to reconnect and heal 30 years later asfhljklafk

Obligations - Part 2
Requested by @slay-thou-pookie @crossxskies @babypeapoddd and @damalseer
Part 1 > Part 2
Tags: Hurt
Twelve fingers. Ten toes. You’d counted them yourself multiple times. Of course, Stan had missed the birth of his nephew. He was in jail. Your husband was in jail. You drove back to the Murder Hut on your own. Stan was going to get an earful when he got home. You knew he knew that.
Now? You sat in that ugly yellow armchair with your son in your arms. You’d been too exhausted to walk up the stairs to the nursery Stan had put together. You kissed the newborn’s head, “Welcome home, sixer. Sorry your dad’s not here.”
In the quiet, you stared down at the bundle in your arms, counting his fingers again. You wondered what Ford would say if he were there. You knew he’d be in love. A part of him, however, would feel bad his kid inherited those extra fingers. If you ever saw him again, you planned to tell him just how much these six little fingers gripping one of yours meant to you.
“Did I miss it?” Stan shouted as he stormed into the living room.
You glanced at the baby in your arms and then back to him. “Yeah,” you sighed, “I’d say you did.”
You could see the regret written on Stan’s face. You had gotten married so you wouldn’t have to go through this alone, but you still had. It killed you. Not only was Ford gone, but Stan was too.
Placing the infant in his arms, you gave him a soft kiss to the cheek, “Meet your son, Stanford.”
Stan was so enamored by the baby in his arms, he didn’t say a word when you called him Stanford. He hated when you did that, often the names spilled from your lips in a fight on accident. Before you could sit back down, Stan took a hold of you with one arm, pulling you close.
“I’m sorry I missed it,” he muttered into your hair. You had plans to yell at him, but, looking at him now, holding your son, you couldn’t bring yourself to do it. “You did good, kid. He’s perfect.”
You took the baby’s hand in yours, holding it up for Stan to see, “Twelve fingers.”
“Ah,” Stan sighed, studying the baby’s hands, “just like his old man.” You could see the hurt in Stan’s eyes. You wondered why it was there. Apart of you knew the truth, but you didn’t want to see it. Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. That’s what they say. Right? “What did you name him?”
“Stanley,” you said fondly as the baby is Stan’s are gave a little whine.
Stan looked at you, “You gonna tell em what you named the kid?” Your eyebrows furrowed. “How am I supposed to yell at him if I don’t know his name?”
“I named him Stanley, you idiot.”
Stan beamed before his lips met yours. At first, you didn’t know how to react, but you caressed his cheek anyways. This was just hormones. You knew that. Neither you nor Stan loved each other, at least, not like that. He knew you’d never love anyone else. You knew he couldn’t be tied down, a free spirit. Yet, you kissed him anyways, pretending he was Ford just for a moment.
As your son grew, Stan was a doting uncle father. He coached little league teams. He taught your son how to ride a bike. But that boy was all Stanford. He refused to take up boxing when Stan had suggested it. He preferred reading over sports, but you could never shake that ache in your chest when your little boy called him daddy.
This obligation Stan had inherited from his brother was trying more so on you than him. You knew Stan reveled in it. He loved being a dad and he was good at it. You credited natural instincts because you’d met Fillbrick Pines before. That man didn’t have a nurturing bone in his body. Stan? That man was so supportive.
Every report card was hung up on the refrigerator. Little Stanley’s artwork was framed and displayed in the Mystery Shack gift shop. Stan and Stanley even worked together to create attractions. It was sweet. They were sweet.
Before you knew it, your baby was a grown man. He looked so much like his father, six fingers an all. College graduations were plentiful. Your son was a graduate of West Coast Tech. Ford would have been so proud.
When Stan got that portal running again, you had cried. You were a bundle of emotions. What would Ford think? What would your son think? How would you break this news? How could you?
As soon as Ford came through that portal, everything changed. You ran into his arms despite the confusion on your son’s face. Kissing him again erased thirty years of despair. He was back. It was bittersweet. He was back, but he missed so much.
After Dipper and Mabel were sent to bed, the hard part began. “Heh, well son,” Stan started, “I guess it’s finally time we tell you the truth.”
Ford was still fuming. Stan had married you. He didn’t the one thing Ford never thought he’d do, steal his girl. He couldn’t blame you. He had left you. Now, you were his wife, mother of his child. It made Ford sick and he blamed himself. Had he not built that portal, you would be his wife. Your son would be his.
“I’m actually your uncle.”
“What?” Ford and your son questioned in unison.
You simply nodded, “I found out about 2 months after you left.” The look on Ford’s face was full of self-loathing. “I thought it was just stress. I didn’t think-“
Ford’s attention turned back to his son who had a haze of distrust clouding his mid. “You and Stan aren’t-“
“Nope,” Stan shook his head. “Technically, poindexter, you’re married to [Y/N].”
After a few weeks, after Weirdmegeddon, your son and his father grew closer, but Stan was always near by. You wondered how you had gotten so lucky, how your son had gotten so lucky. Without Stan, you couldn’t have done this on your own. Without Stan, you wouldn’t be packing him, your husband, and your son up for a year-long sailing trip.
“That’s everything,” you grinned, handing the last bag over to Stanley. You kissed his cheek, so proud of the man he had become. “Dong let your dad and Stan fight too much, please.”
Your boy hugged you tight, “I won’t, Ma.”
Ford kissed you softly. His hand clapped on his son’s back. “I won’t let anything happen to him. I promise.”
“[Y/N],” Stan called from the boat’s bow, “Did you pack the sunscreen? You know Stanley gets all lobstery in the sun.” Ever the worried dad.

i finally got another stylus so i can draw again and i made a relativity falls!caryn pines bc i love her
Tumblr media
here's what i think about her
michael, her father, was 17 years younger than mabel and dipper
she was born when he was only 16
growing up, she visited the mystery shack in it's very formative years and thought her auntie, madame mystery, was the coolest person ever
she had an obsession with the mystical also, but focused in witchy things and seeing the future.
when she was 15, her parents had another baby. she felt very left behind by this, and started dating fillbrick, a 20-something asshole who worked with her dad.
she got pregnant at only 16, and was super excited to be amother. obviously she faced the general teen mother issues, but she was excited to have a baby.
she moved in with fillbrick when he found out, even though her parents never kicked her out. she just wanted her kids to have a whole family.
fillbrick insisted on naming their son stan, after his late father. in return, caryn told him she would, but he would be having her last name.
when they found out they were having twins, filbrick insited that there was no need to find another name, since they had agreed on stan. she came up with stanley and stanford to keep the peace with him.
she invited her auntie to see her give birth, because she was fun and kooky and everyhting that she wanted to be. mabel was the first one to hold the boys other than herself.
after the boys were born, her parents were regular babysitter while she finished her high school degree.
she married fillbrick the day after her 18th birthday. she cried the whole morning. her mother begged her to just run away and leave him behind. she married him anyway.
once she graduated, she worked as a waitress while trying to start up a psychic business. from a string of total accidents, she became the star of her own psychic tv show and moved the family to california.
for years, she did her best to keep her temper with fillbrick, since she hated fighting in front of the kids. she reminds herself that they need to be together so there's another paycheck. so the boys have a father.
she keeps coming up with reasons to stay.
the year the boys are 12, she finds it harder and harder to find reasons. she hates fighting in front of her sons, but she hated fillbrick more.
she sends the two of them to spend a summer with her favorite aunt while she figures out divorce proceedings, how to keep full custody of them for herself, how to get a restraining order against her husband, and how to do it all without him knowing until he absolutely has to.
she has two tattoos, one on her stomach of a crystal ball and one on her arms that says "Lee & Ford"
just. i love caryn pines very much and i refuse to believe that anyone related to dipper and mabel would actually raise fillbrick, so i think this is more fun.

so glad that gravity falls is back so we can finally discuss how ford sees himself as the protagonist of every story while stan can’t see himself as anything but the antagonist

Let me introduce myself to you!
Hi! My name's Esther, and I'm a cryptid huntress. During my travels and researches, I had the chance to meet several curios beings, like Star Butterfly, Luz Noceda and her friends, Steven Universe and the Crystal Gems, but mostly Stanford Fillbrick Pines and Bill Cipher, better know as Ford and Bill. I have known them, and I have known their love. So I've decided to collect their best moments together here on Tumblr. And yes, since Bill is a powerful demon, he can change his appearance at will, and be a human, a triangle or a cluster of tentacles and eyes, for the pleasure of you perverts. I will also be posting pictures and gifs that I have collected on our adventures together. Daily updates!

Maybe his dad asked him to. Maybe his teacher suggested it. Someone put it in his mind, and now it's become a habit. A moment he forgot, but still sticks with him regardless.
Do you think ford trained himself to hide his hands so much he doesn’t even notice it now
