it continues to baffle me how many readers advocate for the show entirely cutting the andoran succession arc, aka elayne's ONE big Main Character storyline that she leads herself (vs. being a sidekick in nynaeve's storylines). what would you do if i started advocating for cutting mat forming the band of the red hand? you wouldn't be so happy about that, would you? well, that's the equivalent of what you're suggesting for elayne, just gutting her entire arc and reducing her to a secondary character.

some readers really need to learn that "i don't like this storyline" doesn't automatically equal "this storyline is just unimportant filler that can and should be cut from the show" (and that "i like this storyline" doesn't automatically equal "this storyline is crucial to the series as a whole and the show will be unwatchable if it's cut")

For all the highs this season they really fucking killed the hype in the end.

Like I'm sorry but Penelope continuing to right stalls all her fucking growth, and its just so the writers don't have to find actual ways out of drama they create, they always have a fall back for when things get too hard.

All this solidified for me was that the queen-their other fallback- was an unnecessary addition to the show, keeping a fraction of the fandom happy is more important than giving us fulfilling character endings, and that we have writers that are afraid to stand on their own. It also shows that Debling was a fucking hindrance and unnecessary because they should have been dealing with this mess way earlier and made a much better ending.

I liked the majority of this season but episode 8 is a fuck up, between her keeping her column, and them not even getting to live before shes popping out kids. Shes 20, hes 23, they could-and should- be doing so much more than cooing over a fucking baby before the 1 year mark of their wedding.

I still love these characters, but this show forgets what its meant to focus on. It gets ditracted with making dram, to the point where the couple that has one of the biggest hurdels is given more for no reason, and doesn't even really get over their main issue. It focuses too much on stories that add really nothing, and forgets to be kind to one of its leads.

This season, for all its potential, got cut at the fucking knees, because they refuse to let Penelope have substantial growth, or to let Colins emotions actually play out instead just deciding hes chill when it makes absolutely no sense. Colins feelings weren't just jealousy, they were anger, and hurt, and those are entirely forgotten by the end and...for what? To make pen stans happy? Thats fucking stupid.

Anyway, canons dead to me and I will be vtaking these two with me because I love them dearly

Jewish comedian and actor Brett Gelman, 47, spoke passionately at the Nov. 14 “March for Israel” on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., about how he lost friends over his Zionism after Hamas’s Oct. 7 terrorist attack on Israel.

Because of that stance, the star of the Netflix hit series “Stranger Things” says certain bookstores have canceled events on a tour to promote his new fiction collection, The Terrifying Realm of the Possible: Nearly True Stories.

He said two venues have pulled out “due to antisemitic intimidation,” adding “but I have not. I won’t be silenced and neither will the Jewish people,” Gelman wrote on social media.

He shared a graphic identifying the Book Stall, in Winnetka, Ill., and Book Passage in San Francisco as the stores in question. The events were slated for March 20 and 21, respectively.

“I definitely believe it’s because of my vocal support of Israel and because of the fact that I’m Jewish,” Gelman told the New York Post. “I think that this is a completely antisemitic act.”

J. The Jewish News of Northern California interviewed Bill Petrocelli, a Book Passage co-owner, who said the store canceled the event due to Gelman’s “intemperate and ill-advised remarks that he made against some other ethnic and social groups.” The owner did not specify which comments he meant.

“I don’t think it’s helpful for me to go into any detail about the comments Mr. Gelman made that prompted our decision,” Petrocelli told the J. For that matter, he added that many of the bookstore’s staff members are Jewish.

Gelman’s publicist told the paper that isn’t true.

“I have never said anything against an ethnic or social group,” said the actor through his publicist. “I have repeated multiple times that I am horrified over the deaths of innocent Palestinians and feel deeply for all innocents affected. So it seems as if Mr. Petrocelli is proving himself to be antisemitic by saying that me advocating for the self-determination, safety and humanity of my own people equates to disparaging Palestinians.”
