I just finished reading the most recent chapter of child of lightning and might I ask if you could give Sun and Sky's loftwings names?? :3 also wild purring is just so cute he is a cutie pie that has stolen my heart

Okey, so, when I was writing I actually got stuck on the name for Zelda’s loftwing. Nothing good came out, so I just didn’t mention it at all in the chapter. BUT! Now, I’ve got an idea, and because you asked, I’ve also got the motivation to draw the babies:

Crimson and Beam!!!

I’m already pretty used to the fandom’s name for Sky’s bird, so I just left it as it is. For Sun’s loftwing, on the other hand…? Idk, it just fits ig) Beam does sound nice

Also, it can be a funny story that when Zelda first told Link the name she chose for her loftwing, he misheard it! And for a long time, he thought that his friend/girlfriend just called her loftwing Bean…. lol

Imagine the scene where something happened and they cannot find Beam, and Link has this meme in his head on repeat: Me and the bois at 2am looking for BEAN!!! 🫘

When Zelda found out about the mistake, she almost peed herself laughing. She teases Link about this to. this. day!!!

Ps. Wild purring and nuzzling into the hand were the best parts to write) love my traumatised boi ヾ(＾-＾)ノ

Fun fact! Loftwings in Skyward Sword were based on shoebill storks! They are very super kind creatures, and I'm not lying to you right now! SEE LOOK!

First real post of 2025!! I don't know if I'll continue this but for context in my au of Skyward Sword Zelda created the Surface Exploration Team or SET. Her people have yet to go to the surface and she wants to know what all is down there, the Skyloftians are still hesitant to go down to a place they've never been. But with the SET and the maps that they've been making as well as clearing out any troublesome monster camps they will eventually start to descend to the surface.

That's besically all of it, I really want to figure out the right pace for comics as well as the best way to do them since I would love to try making some short ones this year! This has been my practice run!

For me now the eyes are much better, and I like more the drawing overall. But what do you think? Should I continue drawing The Legend of Zelda characters?

Zelda was always a sort of Loftwing whisperer while she grew up in Skyloft. They naturally had a habit of following her when she was young, and she would play with the birds alongside Link. This made it even more baffling when Link bonded with his loftwing instantly, flying almost flawlessly for his first time. (Ironically, she ended up more jealous of the bird's bond with Link than visa versa...) Of course, the crimson loftwing did warm up to her fast as she spent so much time nearby.

Sky is one of the best Links because he has a giant bird. You don’t need any other reason.
