Nightmares

Doesn't it happen to you that you want to capture an idea, but you realize that you can't transport that idea to paper? This is what happened to me these days xD But I finally got around to making this little comic about a little moment in the life of cybermonkeys shortly after taking Jasper.

During the first few years, Jasper has had nightmares but the fact is that they are actually memories (not so clear) of what Chiro's last moments were like, the baby has no idea what is happening or because he feels too afraid, he only believes that those he sees in his dreams are the ones who will keep him protected.

(Yes, the first page is in English and the others in Spanish xD, the languages got mixed up)

Gibson: What happened!?

Nova: I don't know! He just... He had never cried like that!

Gibson: Hmm... He has high stress levels, it must have been a nightmare.

Nova: Nightmare? Can babies have nightmares?

Gibson: Until a certain age. For now we have to keep it relaxed. (...)

Nova: Looks like he wants you to carry him.

Loved - A SRMTHFG mini comic

A mini comic I felt inspired to do thanks to the Holy Shuggazine discord group. Even though he is the main character of the show, Chiro is one of the least explored characters. We know less about him than the monkey team he is part of!

Oh well, at least there is plenty of space for us to interpret him as we want. :D

"Skeleton" King Origin Headcanon

Something that always bothered me about the villain from Super Robot Money Team, was his name. "Skeleton King". Which is so funny to me, because the series actually reveals he isn't a skeleton at all, in any way. For some reason, he actually has living organs despite allegedly being an "undead" creature. The ep I, Chiro reveals his body to have been robotic, with wires connecting his head. As well as the fact that his skull was actually only ENCASED in bone, and what lay beneath was a skull made entirely out of pure crystal. Aside from his face shell, he isn't made of bone at all. He's not a skeleton. I also found it strange that the Alchemist would wipe the Monkey's memories of him, despite the fact that he had completely changed appearances. Sure, he did it to be safe, but. Even so, it was unusual to me. The transformation process was also revealed to have been slow. He deteriorated over time, having enough time to finish the Silver Monkey, if not perhaps more.

So I've been thinking. Since the Alchemist built the monkeys their robotic parts by mixing science and magic... surely he did the same to himself? I don't mean to go all purple-guy on you, but I say the Alchemist was slowly rotting and falling apart, as his living flesh could not heal from the corruption process when the Dark One grabbed him. But the Alchemist fought back. He fought back by building a robotic body for himself in hopes that it would slow the infection, in hopes that he could stop himself from turning undead and/or evil. Each new part, while an agonizing replacement process, proved fruitful as it did indeed buy him more time. All the more reason to wipe the Monkey's memories of him. Because they'll know exactly what became of him, exactly what he looks like, as well as the painful memories that came before the end, as they helped him. They helped build his body, and they helped him resist it. But it wasn't enough. The day finally came where it reached his brain, and he could no longer resist it, and he gave in.

OC-tober Day 15: Flashback

So this is something that I decided a while back would be part of Lucy's story. For a long time she had a crush on Gibson (as the medic, she is a biomedic specialist, and Gibson is still the chemistry/physics/everything else sciencey specialist, so it made sense to me that Lucy would be attracted to his smarts!) and sometime during season 1 she would finally gather the courage to confess her feelings. Gibson, being... noooot the most emotionally aware of the team? was really surprised at this, even though Lucy had probably been hinting at a crush for a while. And so poor Lucy got her heart broken... no matter how nice Gibson tried to be, there's really no way to turn someone down without hurting some feelings.

But it turned out okay. Someone better came along for Lucy after this... that person being Delphei 💜

I used the Atlantean language used for Atlantis: the Lost Empire for thr mer-writing. It translates to "my name is Otto and I saved you. I gave- [cuts off]"

There is nothing more powerful than a mother's love for her children.

That's why Nova would be able to confront Mandarin as many times as necessary to protect Jasper.

And in the same way, Jasper would be able to get his hands dirty to keep his family protected.
