Jang Deok-su has seen a lot of horrible things in his life time. Crime, pain, and death and more than a little of those things were caused by his own hands. It's safe to say he's seen it all and at this point he's desensitized to them. Ghosts, ghouls, and jumpscares though? No, thank you. You put on a horror movie and he instantly has an excuse as to why he's got to leave. It's hilarious.

His reactions are priceless to horror movies. They're not exactly big like screaming, jumping out of his seat, etc etc, but he's still very obviously scared. Deok-su will curse under his breath often and I feel sorry for you if you allow him to hold onto you. He'll unknowingly grip you extremely hard, hard enough to leave small, light marks on your knee and thighs (what can I say, I view him as a leg guy).

I imagine that to get him to be in the same room, much less even get him to consider watching the movie with you, it would take quite a bit of bribery. I'm talking all of his favorite snacks and a lot of physical affection on your part. If you succeed in getting him on the couch and watching whatever horror movie you chose, I congratulate you.

i'd be lying if i said the relationship wasn't a little toxic. it's expected when in a relationship with deoksu but i feel like he just doesn't know how to treat someone in a relationship

he's in love with you and he knows that, but he doesn't know how to express it correctly. he doesn't want to seem weak by showing you how much he cares for you

he fits the 'asshole to everyone except for their partner' trope perfectly. he feels like you're the only person who completely understands him so he treats you really well

deoksu is really protective of you. one glare from this man will get anyones attention off of you and onto him. it's not surprising to say he would get jealous super easily

he's also really threatening so people know not to mess with you because he'd get involved if they do. he doesn't take insults lightly, especially when they're about you

he loves pda. it makes him feel more confident and almost prideful because he has a s/o that actually loves him. if you don't like pda before your relationship starts, you'll get used to it by the end

he likes to show you off and one of the reasons why is because he's baffled that you give him real, honest love

he acts like a big bad but i feel like in private he'd be like a teddy bear. he's intimidating to everyone but you

he won't ever say it out loud, but he really does wonder why you love him as much as you do. he doesn't understand why someone like him deserves the kindness you give him but he wouldn't mention it to you

he finds it hard expressing his love for you verbally, so he prefers physical touch over anything else. he always has a hand on you, whether it be around your shoulders or resting on the small of your back, he's touching you

his touch is surprisingly gentle, contrary to his behavior. he feels the need to be soft whenever he touches you because he worries you'll break. he treats you like a piece of glass

you're the only person he'll actually ever let his guard down around. he trusts you completely so you'll see him without the 'i'm a tough guy nothing hurts me' facade of whenever you're alone

i don't think your relationship with him would be horrible by any means, but i think he would have trouble with a serious one. as seen in the show he basically uses minyeo for his own gain and he wouldn't know how to not do that to someone

when he realizes he actually likes you he goes into panic mode. he doesn't know how to deal with his feelings at all so his confession is really awkward and slow

he won't ever treat you terribly though. he treats you really well for what it's worth

he knows whenever you're upset or uncomfortable and he doesn't know how to comfort you with words so he'll sit with you in silence

i don't think he ever truly learned to deal with his own emotions so being in a relationship would be hard for him. he'd get angry a lot at little things and i feel like he'd be possessive

it's not like there aren't any positives to being with him, though. the positives outweigh the negatives and you're always there to calm him down when his emotions get out of hand

he genuinely loves you though and protecting you from others is one of the ways he can show it without saying it verbally. it's what he's good at

if and when he ever actually says the words 'i love you' he would pretend it never happened right after because he hates how exposed it makes him feel even though he trusts you

he just needs someone to be there for him and truly care about him. a healthy relationship would be really beneficial for him so you do your best to keep it that way

he's not a bad person; at least not to you. he tries his best and shows his love for you in plenty of ways, from protection to gentle touches in private or in public. either way, everyone knows you're together and he's not afraid to flaunt your relationship

he loves you and just needs to know you love him back because he worries he isn't good enough. please tell this man you love him

So I’m doing a bit of a page remodel.

I am removing some masterlists and some characters from masterlist. I have no desire to write for these characters anymore so I won’t be. These characters, so far, are not characters I have ever written for but added to masterlists because at some point I did want to write for them. So no worries about deleting fics or any work.

But please understand that I only write for characters that I’m interested in writing for, I won’t write for characters just because others might want to read something about them.

When You Fall Through The Glass ~ Jang Deoksu Headcanon

When he watched you pick up bib number 7, Deoksu couldn’t help but worry a little bit that you were at risk

Although he wasn’t completely sure about what the game would be, he didn’t want to see you in any harm

You remained confident however, feeling that the middle would be the best place for you to try and keep yourself safe

As the two of you walked out with everyone else onto the platform and saw the glass before you, everyone could hear the sharp intake of breath that came from Deoksu

Straight away he could tell that you were in a dangerous position, not even thinking about himself as he listened to the game explanation

Your eyes looked back to him, noticing how hard he was trying to hide his expression and not let you see how worried he was

Statistically he couldn’t see a way for you to pass across the bridge without ending up falling through

As the first person stepped forwards, Deoksu wriggled in between the two people between you both, tapping against your shoulder, encouraging you to step back

Deoksu carefully pulled you into his side, whispering into your ear a promise that things would be alright for you, just as the first person fell through the glass

The two of you both flinched together as the next person went, copying what had already been done, facing a dilemma once they were left with two options

He couldn’t bring himself to watch as one by one people fell to their deaths, watching on as the line got shorter, and your chances of survival too

Each person felt like a step closer to the inevitable for Deoksu which absolutely killed him on the inside

Although he was more than happy to see everyone else fall, you were the one person that Deoksu didn’t want to see go

Eventually you found yourself right at the front, finally feeling nervous yourself as you saw no one else before you

From behind you, Deoksu could see that you were nervous as your shoulders dropped, even without knowing you for very long, he could pick up enough signs

Watching you at the front of the line was the last thing that Deoksu wanted to see, as you took tentative steps forwards

There were still several rows of glass to go, and he was doubtful that you would be able to guess them all right too

More than anything else he wanted to grab onto you and pull you away from harm, but there were two too many people between you both for Deoksu to reach you both

You gave yourself a couple of minutes before making your mind up that the left would be the side that you jumped to

Just before you did, you looked back at Deoksu, noticing the panic in his eyes, completely unaware of just how hard his heart was pounding

You offered him a weak smile, murmuring a thank you across to him before counting yourself down from three

As three came, Deoksu flinched as he watched you go up in the air, slightly turning away in anticipation as he caught the sight of shards of glass out of the corner of his eye

A loud shriek came from Deoksu as he watched you fall, collapsing to his news as his heart twanged in his chest

Knowing he wouldn’t get the chance to say goodbye killed him on the inside, and on the outside too as a single tear rolled down his cheeks

When he eventually found himself at the front of the line too, Deoksu couldn’t help but look down and see where you were lying

Suddenly he wasn’t scared anymore, you had been brave enough to take the leap, and so it was only right for Deoksu to do the same

If he made it, he’d be happy, but if he didn’t then he knew he was going to be down there with you

Having always hoped he would make it out with you, Deoksu was at least happy to go out with you as he made his leap, crashing through the glass just like you had done

Chapter 20

The next morning, I slowly opened my eyes then yawn. I looked down and didn't see the covers on me then looked over my shoulder at Deok-su and smiled. I turned over to face him and saw Deok-su still had his eyes closed. I smiled and put my hand on his upper arm that was around my waist. I moved closer to him and watched him sleep. I felt his breath on me and smiled. "He's so cute when he is sleeping. I can stay here forever watching him sleep," I thought to myself then swept back his black hair from his forehead. He made a sound as he moved, but didn't wake up yet. I smiled and kissed his forehead then closed my eyes to sleep for a few more minutes. After five minutes, Deok-su opened his eyes and saw Jamie's face close to his. He smiled and rubbed her back. He looked at her nose and sighed then lightly kissed it. "Love you," he said and watched her for a few seconds then he thought of having a smoke. He rolled over and sat up in bed putting his feet on the floor. He got his phone and saw it was 9:23 A.M. then looked at his text message from Han. "Tell her I said hi. We are working here. Don't worry about it. Have fun and enjoy the sun." Deok-su smirked and send a quick text back. "I'm not worried. We'll be back soon." He got up and got his clothes then went to the bathroom to change. After two minutes, he got out and looked over at Jamie and smiled then walked over towards her, leaned down and kissed her temple. "I'll be back soon," Deok-su whispered then left the room. Once outside, Deok-su smoked. He glanced around and saw cars passing by. He took another drag then blew out the smoke.

While he was smoking, I slowly opened my eyes and glanced around. I didn't see Deok-su. I grabbed my phone and saw it was 9:48 A.M. There was no message from Deok-su, so I send him a text and asked where he went to then sat up in bed. As I waited, I glanced around the room for a few seconds then got up and went to use the bathroom. Deok-su heard his phone, got out it out of his pocket and smiled when he saw it was Jamie. He smoked a little more then stomp it out under his sneaker. He texted her back. "Outside for a smoke. Coming up now." He walked back to the room as he put his phone away. When he got back to the room, he saw her sitting on the bed. He smiled as he walked over to the bed. I saw Deok-su and smiled as he walked over then took his hand. "Hey babe," I said. "Hey," he said then sat next to me. "How did you sleep?" he asked. I nodded then asked, "Great. How about you?" "It was good," he said. I smiled then sighed as I looked around. Deok-su smiled as he put his hand on my lap. "I am going to take a shower. Want to join?" he asked. I looked at his hand then at him. "No. You go first," I said. Deok-su raised an eyebrow. "Why?" he asked. I shrugged. "Because we know what is going to happen and I just…don't want to right now," I said. Deok-su looked at me for a few seconds then nodded. "Alright. I'll be right out," he said as he patted my lap and got up. I watched him walk towards the bathroom as he took his shirt off. I looked at his back as I bit my bottom lip. When the door closed, I sighed and grabbed my phone. I texted my mom to pick me up at 11 A.M. then I put the phone down and got up. I went to my suitcase and pick out an outfit for today.

After five minutes, the door to the bathroom opened and Deok-su walked out. I was looking out the window. I didn't change yet. When I heard the door, I turned around and looked over then smirked at what he was wearing. A towel around his waist with his hair dripping water down his body. He looked over at me and smiled. "Hey. Looking good there," I said as I walked towards him. He smirked as he ran his fingers though his wet hair. I put my hand on his chest and felt his heartbeat. He smiled as he looked at my nose. "I really can't wait for that to come off," he said then lightly kissed my nose. I smiled and said, "Same, but it will come of next week." "Yeah," he said, "That is too long for me." I kissed my fingertips then pressed it to his lips. He smirked then did the same. "I love you," Deok-su said. "Love you, too," I said then ran my hand through his wet black hair. He sighed as he put his head back. I slide my hand down his back and wrapped my arms around him as I laid my head against his chest. I didn't care if I got wet. He looked down at me and smiled as he wrapped his arms around me. "I am so happy that you had come to like me back at that place. I would have been dead in there either from a game or her," I said as I thought about Han Mi-Nyeo who almost killed me. Deok-su smiled as he thought about the first time he saw Jamie then gritted his teeth when he remembered Han trying to kill her. He kissed the top of my head and leaned his head against it. "Good that she is gone now. I am glad that I went there. At first, I didn't want to, but I needed money, so I went then I saw you. You changed me. I never thought that I would love anyone after my ex tried to kill me and now I am here with you with lots of money to buy a house in South Korea," he said. I smiled as I tighten my hold on him.

After a few minutes, I looked up at him and smiled then put my hands on each of his cheek and stroked one of my thumb across his bottom lip. He smiled and kissed my thumb. I looked into his eyes and vice versa. "Damn, I am never letting her go," he thought to himself. I continue to smile then put my head down and Deok-su put his lips on my forehead. "We have to go get ready, so that we can go out," I said as I looked back up at him, and he just nodded.

Later that week, I took Deok-su to visit some of my family members. They liked him and thought he was nice. I told them what happened to my nose when they asked. "A person hit me, but I am fine now. Don't hurt much anymore," I said, "It will come off when I go back to South Korea." That leads me into telling them that I am moving there to be with Deok-su. "You guys can come and visit, and we can show you South Korea," I said as Deok-su nodded. We had a great time with family. On the last day before going back to South Korea, I slept at home while Deok-su slept at the hotel. I am sad to go, but happy to go back. At least this cast on my nose can come off soon, so I can kiss Deok-su again. At the hotel, Deok-su laid down on the bed thinking about going back home and wonder how is everyone was doing. No messages from Han Shi Yeong, so everything must be good.

The next morning, I woke up at 8 A.M., so I with my parents can go pick up Deok-su and head to the airport. Deok-su was tired when he opened the door and saw me. "Hey, babe. Ready?" I asked. Deok-su leaned towards me and kissed my cheek. "Hey. I am ready," he said then went to get his suitcase and shut the lights off.

At the airport, me and Deok-su said bye to my parents then went inside. Deok-su paid for two tickets for South Korea. The departure was at 10:30 AM. Deok-su checked the suitcases in. We had time to get breakfast. Hopefully have time to check out the gift shops. I know I am going to the Disney Store. I have to take Deok-su to Disney World one day. After we finished breakfast, me and Deok-su walked around. When we walked by a bookstore, I stopped which made Deok-su also stop. "Hmm," he said as he looked over at me since his attention was somewhere else. "Books," I said then lead him into the store. I look around to find a book to read on the airplane. Deok-su glanced around, too. He didn't need to find a book since he doesn't read. After a couple of minutes, I found a book to read and paid for it then walked around more. When I saw the Disney store, I lead Deok-su to it. "Where now?" he asked. I heard the tone in his voice like he was whining. I stopped and looked over at him. "Are you whining right now?" I asked. He looked at me. "No. I just don't go into toy stores," he said. I pressed my lips together. "Plus I didn't think that you would be into toys," he said. I glanced around then looked back at him. "I'm not, but I am into Disney," I said, "I love anything Disney." Deok-su slowly nodded as he glanced around. "I have never been there," he said. "I'll take you there when we come back to visit," I said. "Okay," he said. I smiled then looked around. After leaving the store, we went to another, so Deok-su can get a key chain or magnet of Florida. Afterwards, we took the tram to the gate. We waited around until the announcement to board the plane came on.

We arrived at California 12 P.M., we ate some food and hang around the airport. At 2:30 P.M., we boarded the plane. I sat next to the window and looked out. Deok-su smiled as he put a hand on Jamie's arm. "We are going home," he said. I looked over at him and smiled as I put my hand over his. "Yeah. Can't wait to see South Korea. You need to show me around since we didn't have time the last we were here," I said. "Definitely," he said. I looked back out the window. In a couple of minutes, the plane took off. Me and Deok-su watched the same movie in Korean, which I had to read the text. We ate a meal when we were hungry. Deok-su had a beer and I had a Coke. After I finished my meal, I tried to take a nap. Deok-su smiled as he watched me sleep then watch another movie.

At 3 A.M., we finally got to South Korea. Inside the terminal, Me and Deok-su got your suitcases from the baggage claim then exit. I wasn't sure who would pick us up in the middle of the night. I glanced around at some other people getting into cars. "Hey. Let's stay at a hotel until morning," I said. Deok-su looked at me and nodded. "Okay. Let's go to the Grand Hyatt," he said. Me and Deok-su went to the hotel and booked a room for a couple of hours.
