I need to meander the river rather than checkerboard, use higher contrasting colors for the roadside wildflowers, and that spot along the treeline where I misthreaded during the transfer from the other loom (sigh, live and learn) is perhaps forever going to make me crazy.

I decided to take advantage of the hot weather (100+ F for at least the next two weeks) and dedicated some time to Athena experimenting with solar dyeing. They've gotta sit for a week before I can rinse them & see the results. If they turn out well I'm going to use them to either knit or weave her a shrine cloth.

I'm using the process from Rosemary & Pines Fiber Arts. The jars are, from left to right: dried spearmint; onion skin and tea bags; all tea bags; and lemon peel, dried rose, and dried eucalyptus.

despite all the body image shit and other horrors that return every spring i have to say it is nice to be able to enjoy daylight past 5 o clock, to leave the balcony door open all day, seeing the leaves return, birds chirping everywhere, butterflies, bees, flowers, green fucking grass 💚

I am of course way too much of a coward to actually warp the thing today. In part bc i have not finished the warping board (at the moment it is a big square. Still need to cut and nail the pegs.) and in part because i was watching a video on warping a 4 harness loom and it looks like the kinda thing i will need all my mental faculties for and atm im running on like 10% brain power, so.
