VEXATION FELT LIKE A THICK ACIDIC BURN that started in his throat && crawled all the way down, nestling somewhere in his chest. The mire of emotions he internally DENIED that he was experiencing, weighed down on him like an unbearable tonnage. Sean Conlon –– or better known as SPOT amongst the gangs peppered around each borough of New York, leaned against the kitchen counter in his new apartment, TAPPING his cane on the floor in dissatisfaction.

It was strange. Sean felt like he was betraying Brooklyn in some weird twisted way. It was well known that he never liked Manhattan, because he thought it was too SOFT –– or lack of a better word. It’s the reason why his Motley Crew suggested he stay undercover here. The plan was to arrive here everyday before sunset && only return to Brooklyn for business during the day hours.

He had scoffed at this, of course, considering Brooklyn was just as DANGEROUS during the day as it was at night && seeing that the conflict between Brooklyn && Queens was getting more out of hand these days, Sean didn’t see himself being any SAFER. No, he didn’t even know what safe was. There was a hit out on him though && Sean both cursed && welcomed it.

Bruises blossomed across Spot’s right fist where it met his second in command, ARCHER’S jaw. The two had been arguing the moment they finished moving in all of Spot’s things && with tension at such a stressful high, it quickly took a turn for the worse.

Disbelief appeared across Spot’s face when Archer had managed to return a punch –– sending him back hard enough that he was on the floor, leaning against the cabinets. The knob from a drawer pressed hard against his back && he held his nose, feeling something WARM && WET slowly drip from his nasal.

Pulling his hand away, his fingers were coated red && he briefly scowled at his partner before turning his attention to the front of his apartment, blue gaze glowering IMPERIOUSLY at the uninvited guest lurking in the doorway.

Archer shook his head minutely, shoulders relaxing, && reminded the Brooklyn leader that they were friends –– that he’d see him tomorrow before making his exit && brushed by the stranger as he did. Spot didn’t move, just blinked at the man, visage now VOID of emotion. “ Th’ fuck do you want? “ He asked lowly.
