Closely related to the previous post, here’s a friendly reminder that healthy feet are crucial during baseball games starting this baseball season! The patients of Bayshore Podiatry Center know we’re on your side when it comes to addressing what’s important to your game. Choosing the Right Cleats 1.Proper Fit: There should be no tight at all but the cleats should be well fitting so that the feet will also be capable of providing necessary support measures. 2.Ankle Stability: Cleats have a high top to provide support to the ankle during the game. 3.Replace Worn-Out Cleats: Replace your cleats if they are worn out in order not cause you discomfort and possibly injury. Avoiding Common Foot Issues 1.Ingrown Toenails: Cut nails smooth and flat across, do not compress the toes. 2.Achilles Strain: Preheat the calf muscles before the activity in order to reduce any likelihood of injury. 3.Turf Toe Tendinitis: To avoid this common form of injury, build strength in the toes.
