Personality?: Cesar Torres's alternate, or just C for short, is pretty young. Inexperienced in many things. But some of it's due to it failing their main task, killing its human target. It lacks knowledge of how humans behave and how they live in general. Not to mention, it doesn't have a firm grasp on how its own species operate and the community surrounding it. Anyone who comes across C, will see how very sporadic their energy is. Never really clear what gets it excited. The only times it calms down is when it's bored or it's forced to. While this may sound like a positive thing, it holds little to no willpower over itself. Getting into trouble with someone, somewhere, is a frequent occurrence. It'll do whatever it wants on a whim without considering the outcome. Speaking of control, it cannot assert any ounce of authority around other alternates to save its life. Since their status is as low as it could be without completely enraging Hell's overlord, it's easily pushed around. Takes but a simple threat to put it in line. C seems unaware of where the ill treatment is coming from. Because despite all of that, their friendly yet creepy demeanor persists anyway.

Thinks Before Acting?: Not really, at least without any aid it won't. Actually needs to be looked after if even given a basic task to do. Not much of a planner, its attention span is quite inconsistent. Tends to get distracted easily by anything that's remotely interesting to it.

Positive Traits?: Laid-back, energetic, curious, excitable and flexible.

Negative Traits?: Oblivious, careless, passive, impulsive, self-indulgent and irritable.

Way Of Speaking?: Only knows fluent English and there's no discernible accent when talking. Their voice sounds grating because they change tones often. One minute it goes from croaky to high-pitched out of nowhere. A fairly distinct quirk they have is their laughter. Simply put, it's unrestrained. Loud and animated, it lets loose like a maniac. Occupation?: Failing to replace their human target, C is stuck as a mere impersonator. Usually alternates in that type of position are either killed off or taken in as workers for other superior figures. The second option doesn't happen often since most prefer having the older overdriven doppelgangers instead. However, in its particular case, it got extremely lucky. A few seconds away from dying, someone was willing to take them in. Whom happened to be Six, a pride alternate. He had ulterior motives behind the decision, yet ended up keeping C around since it proved to be somewhat useful. Nowadays, it mostly serves as an extra helping hand for Six's other far more competent worker (The Preacher "Ora"). Carrying out any kind of manual labor whenever needed. But it needs constant supervision, otherwise it'll wander off and indulge in its own silly pastimes. Which mainly consists of interacting with other impersonators like it, or collecting random human used items.

Powers/Skills?: Sloth is regarded as the weakest sin of the existent seven, they're not expected to have mastered their own abilities. That's rather obvious about C. Mostly uses them for fun and in return, it stagnates its improvement. Having some basic skills, also commonly seen within its species. Night vision and voice mimicry, sees clear in pitch darkness just fine but copying voices is not their strong suit. Oftentimes it's choppy and sounds like it's fighting between two voices. Surface adhesion and body alteration are more its speed. Can freely walk on any wall or ceiling without falling, and capable of contorting its body in many grotesque ways. One better advanced skill it knows is matter manipulation. Meaning that it can turn its entire being into black fog-like smoke, might reshape the size or form if necessary. Moving onto its unique skills, ones present with sloth alternates. Their general resilience to harsh conditions and physical trauma is greater than other sins, known to heal and regenerate much faster as well. Adding on, its body is very flexible. Having nearly no limits to how far it could distort or stretch out its body parts.

Personality?: Known as one of the few older, somewhat active, alternates within her kind. She outlived her busiest years as a doppelganger, nowadays mostly carrying out menial tasks for more important figures. A boring and repetitive life, but one that she's come to terms with. As long as she's serving her overlord in some way, she'll still feel the need to perform perfectly. Having worked as a "false" nun in the past, allowed Ora to gain a deeper understanding of humans and just how vulnerable they are. A lot of her early work made her develop superior tactics in manipulation. She may not be putting them to use as often anymore, but she remains dangerous nonetheless. Having no guilt in deceiving anyone if it means she has something to gain. This mindset persists in any sort of connection she makes with other alternates. Ora prefers surrounding herself with stronger and wiser individuals, who prove being far more useful for her. While she can carry around an approachable appearance because of her typical calm nature, it remains as a façade, making herself appear less threatening. No one likes an outwardly hostile alternate after all. Unless provoked consistently, she won't shy away from verbal abuse. It's best to not be hated by her, or worst, make her envy you.

Thinks Before Acting?: Pretty much all the time, she feels more in control when she's got everything planned out. Staying well-calculated and on point while working. Being steps ahead of any potential adversary or threat, is better than getting involved in a physical altercation.

Positive Traits?: Patient, analytical, responsible, focused, persuasive and sympathetic.

Negative Traits?: Resentful, judgmental, pessimistic, controlling, malicious and devious.

Way Of Speaking?: Only speaks fluent English, but her vocabulary still includes fragments of older words and slangs not as commonly used anymore. Occupation?: Overdriven doppelgangers typically don't get any actual significant tasks. Instead, they do manual labor for others or teach the inexperienced alternates. Anything that takes up too much valuable time, is dumped onto them. Ora is no exception to this. After her literal human disguise began reverting back to an uncanny state, she could no longer interact with people. At first, she sought out to become a sort of teacher for newer alternates who were tasked with impersonating nuns. Spending a few years doing just that most of the time, letting others learn from her experience. Eventually it was put on halt once appointed as a worker/servant for a pride alternate. Which was Six, one of the overlord's "favorite" doppelgangers. Her job now is mostly doing the dirty work that Six doesn't want to do. Gathering electronic devices, keeping guard, stalking Six's victims, babysitting his much younger inexperienced worker (alternate Cesar). All the boring stuff basically.

Powers/Skills?: Due to her current form’s state, her body feels fatigue a bit faster when in use of her abilities. But it doesn't mean she's defenseless. Possessing a few basic skills, which are also common with her species. Like night vision and surface adhesion. Capable of seeing her surroundings even in complete darkness, and free to move around on any wall without the risk of falling. One thing that Ora's perfected is voice mimicry. There's probably no voice she can't copy near flawlessly, and for as long as she wants. A skill she's mastered over the years. One advanced ability she's used often is matter manipulation. What it means is that she can turn her entire being into black fog-like smoke. They might reshape the size or form depending on the situation. Moving onto her distinct skills, which are seen amongst envy alternates. Their intelligence is viewed as far more advanced than other sins, though competes with pride alternates. Psychological and emotional manipulation is her forte. To add, sound wave screams. The kind that can shatter glass and deafen someone momentarily, or permanently. Its intensity is fully controllable as well.

Get to Know Me

There are various things about me that I mention vaguely in ranting posts, that I know some of my followers don’t know. So I’m writing some stuff here, for people who want to know me better! 😉

I’m PiracyTheorist, for personal reasons I don’t share my real name or selfies publicly here. You can call me Nette.

Current fandoms circulating around here:

- Spy x Family (CURRENT OBSESSION) (I’m up to date with the anime but I don’t read the manga, so please no manga spoilers) (tags are "Spy x Family" and occasionally "sxf")

- Colin O’Donoghue (sporadic but massive posting whenever he graces us with new content)

- Resident Evil Village (there will be horror and graphic content, as well as spoilers for the game and its DLC Shadows of Rose) (tag will mostly be “Resident Evil” and/or “re talk”)

- Digimon Adventure (20 years after watching it as a kid I went back to it and what do you know I still love everything about my very first blorbo, Yamato Ishida, so I’m going off about it here as well) (tag is “Digimon”)

Personal stuff:

I’m in my late 20s, I was born in a small town in Greece. I lived on an island for six years, where I studied music teaching. I now work as a music educator in a public middle and high school.

I support all genders and sexualities and ways people choose to live their own lives.

I’m a white cis woman, an asexual, I’m probably also aromantic but I’m not sure. Due to not being interested in romantic/sexual relationships however, I don’t spend a lot of time wondering about that. I just go with the flow.

I am a certified cat person™. I have one of my own (though she lives in my parents’ house and I only see her when I visit):

I was born with a cardiomyopathy. I’m on mild medication (by which I mean no side effects and no problems if I miss one dose) and I have some standard medical tests once or twice a year. I cannot do heavy exercise or push any limits (which, due to not being able to exercise my whole life, are low considering my young age). I am able to be independent though I'm eligible for some disability benefits. And yes, that means I’m in a high-risk group for any disease, not just covid or the flu.

I find dogs cute as well, but I prefer cats for myself.

I don’t want to have children. I like working with them as a music educator, but I don’t think I’d ever have the patience to actually be a good parent for life. Plus I have a ton of crappy genes, first and foremost of my own disease, so why spread them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I attend therapy sessions. Sometimes I talk here about my sessions, or about things I want to say in them. I tag those posts as “nette therapy” so you can filter that if you want.

I love travelling. Thanks to being a part of several choirs while studying, I’ve visited various places in Europe, and I hope to be able to visit more.

I try to tag everything, including triggers, so if there’s something you need me to tag (within reason, don’t bring fandom drama into my inbox please), don’t hesitate to ask me. I shitpost from time to time, so prepare for some silliness here and there.

I enjoy whump, that is, seeing fictional characters (mostly male - for me mostly ones played by the aforementioned Colin O’Donoghue) in pain or any kind of peril. I tag everything about that as “whump”. I understand triggers and squicks so tagged or not, if that makes you in any way uncomfortable, you can unfollow me. I appreciate people following my blog but I rarely if ever check my followers list.

Sometimes I write fanfics, though my main contributions to fandoms are gifsets and silly memes, occasionally. Killian Jones from the TV show Once Upon a Time is my biggest love, so content about him may appear here sometimes. My fanfics can be found on Tumblr [link] or on AO3 [link]. I do not tolerate hate that’s aimed at innocent people - and that goes from hate for race, gender, sexuality etc. to hate for what fictional character each other likes. If what the other person is doing is in no negative way affecting someone else, I will not tolerate hate on my blog about them. I used be a person who judged others for what fictional characters/ships they liked, and I know now how miserable I was to act that way, and I’m trying to move on and become better.

There are!

Sistermon Noir is bi, though not looking for a relationship.

AncientMermaidmon is bi too. I wish I had more opportunities to showcase the Warrior Ten, but their appearances in Holy War are sporadic.

Lilithmon is pansexual. She doesn't discriminate based on gender. Though, I might go so far to say she's aromantic.

Sistermon Ciel is lesbian. She hasn't been introduced on-screen yet. I really wanted to introduce her around the Jesmon arc, but I just couldn't find a way to make it work and for it to make sense. I do want to give her character justice though, and I decided to save it for a side-story in the future.

Venusmon is also pansexual, but the OXII haven't appeared on-screen. Mentioning her because somebody else asked a similar question wondering about her specifically.

Somebody also asked about BelleStarmon, who I headcanon as either bi or pan. I've only vaguely outlined the characters of the Three Musketeers, but I want to write about them at some point because they seem like a really fun group.

That's all I can think of at the moment, unless I'm forgetting anybody. (Though, I pretty much view most of the OXII as some degree of bi, Greek mythology influence and all. Apart from Dianamon, who’s asexual.

Alastor is a demon that thrives on entertainment, destruction, and the suffering of others. He finds great amusement in getting others to react in several ways, and can come across as an asshole, charming, calculated and impulsive depending on the situation. He tends to be quite the wild card, making it hard to tell what his true intentions are at all times.

Alastor is a powerful Overlord known as the Radio Demon who seeks power and entertainment wherever he goes. His recent amusement plan, The Hazbin Hotel, is his latest form of entertainment. It’s unclear what his true intentions are with helping the princess is, but it’s clear that he has something up his sleeve.

CANON DIVERGENCE NOTES:

The battle with Adam lasted longer than it did in the show, but he still lost due to overconfidence.

He has a special knife with a shadow effect to it. This knife gets stronger from the blood of Sinners. He also has a custom angelic blade.

Alastor worshiped and offered sacrifices & offers to Lilith when he was alive, to come to Hell instantly in power when he died. Realized Hell & Demons exist so he made sure to benefit from it when he died. Chained to Lilith and does what she asks of him, but wants his freedom regarding her, even if she treats him well. Doesn’t like to be chained. Thinks he’s above it all even if he respects her.

Vox and him are Exes. He does not hate Vox whatsoever, and in fact enjoys their rivalry. Many reasons led to their fight and break up.

His true demon form is completely different than the one in the show. He becomes a giant shadow eldritch void monster with giant antlers.

Alastors dynamic with Lucifer is more playful and tension filled than outright dislike/hate. He’s bolder due to his connections.

He’s close with Mimzy. Mimzy knew his two personas. The Radio Host, and The Seductress Murderer. Alastor could change his voice.

SHIPPING NOTES: Ships with him are sporadic and on a case by case basis. Either slow burn or quick. + I don’t ship him with Charlie.

He has a strange sense of self-justice and vengeance when it comes to people. He has an extreme bias when it comes to terrible men.

Has mother henning tendencies. Makes sure that people eat, and that their bellies are full.

Hi, sorry for the confusion! I'm the anon that asked about the aro-spec MC!! I don't know if I can explain myself well enough, as I have trouble wording thing and Eng is not my first language!!

Aromanticism is a spectrum, so some people can feel full romantic attraction (like demiromantics!!), some feel it sporadically (grayromantic or aroflux), and some don't particularly feel it (aromantic). I'm going to count directly the last one now though, since that seems to be the focus!! Some aromantic people still actively desire a romantic relationship, and though the way it is felt varies from person to person, some can actively feel towards someone a lot stronger than "just" friendship, processing their own feelings about that person differently from someone who is not aro-spec. I'm not sure if I understand your perplexity well, I'm sorry, but some aro people can love just as strong as non-aro people, it feels a little weird to say that just one part (the ROs) love in this context!! But regarding how to write it (?) I think it could work with like, letting the Mcs feeling be a little more vague? Like, being happy to be around the Ro, being physically attracted to them, or even somewhat flustered/conscious of their presence, but never in a specific "ok I'm in love with this person" type of way? Maybe like a romantic relationship but slightly more blurred!! Also not sure why the other anon went directly for an aroace addressing when I never mentioned asexuality in the first place... Aroallos are a thing...

Again I'm sorry for causing so much confusion, it wasn't my intention!!!

you've returned! yeah i was confused about bringing up asexuality too 😅 and thank you for explaining, I def understand what you're asking better now.

The answer is still kinda no, because I'm not writing romances with that perspective in mind. But I think the answer to this ultimately, kinda... can't be determined by me? Specifically because these kinds of feelings sound like they could potentially be interpreted from platonic text...

But to put it simply! No, I won't be writing this sort of dynamic as an established romance path or type of relationship. Increasing the attraction variable with an RO and changing romantic relationship status with them will include alloromantic text for the MC. But I'll keep this perspective in mind as I write! I can't see why a few choices here and there that increase the friendship variable can't add a slightly romantic or more than platonic feel to some moments. (while being clear about that in the choice text ofc lol)

No promises, but I'll try to be mindful of it! And thank you again for breaking this down for me! I'm always striving to understand the gigantic umbrella that is the LGBTQIA+ community and all the nuances of being in it and part of it. It's important to me on a personal level to keep learning about us (all of us), so I really appreciate you coming back and making sure I understood what you mean :)

He wasn't sure if that was the original saying, but Ochako had repeated it so many times that the phrase was ingrained into his mind. When asked about it, she had told her friends that it was something her dad would always say when he thought a new chapter of their lives was starting. He had apparently said it when she received her UA acceptance letter, and he had shouted it to the whole class at graduation while his wife took pictures of Ochako in her gown.

When Izuku thought of the phrase now, he did not feel the reassurance it usually brought, but a fierce sorrow that draped his already heavy shoulders and left his hands shaking. The rest of his life…

Alternate summary: Yes, this is another time traveller Midoriya fic. No, I do not know what I'm doing, nor where this story is going. If you're gonna step foot onto this doomed trolley, be prepared for abrupt stops and sporadic screams of the damned. Also, if you were wondering, the title is a song by Penelope Scott. Hannibal: so excited because I've been rewatching hannibal with my mom so I'm in the deep of it

1. First impression:

Well luckily for me I went into Hannibal also completely blind. I mean, I obviously knew he was a cannibal, but I didn't know how the show was going to portray him, so I spent a lot of time oscillating back and forth between whether I thought they were trying to make him sympathetic or not, if any time he showed emotion was real or not, ect ect. So I would say 🤔 there were a lot of moments in the first episode specifically where he comes across as very false (in regards mostly to will) but also very entertaining still. Cautiously optimistic I suppose, I thought he would be entertaining and interesting, which he was

2. When you truly started to like/dislike:

Funnily enough, I have an answer for both because my feelings on the man changed sporadically. Like wise, pretty hard to tell what moments made me really like him as a character 🤔 I remember thinking it was very fun when he would kill other serial killers or even anytime he gets snappy or annoyed with other people. Just delightful.

Dislike for me would probably be when he killed Beverly :/ still upset about it. And the way he killed her too... probably my most uncomfortable I've felt about any of the deaths in Hannibal. I may have been upset about him killing abigail but I assumed she wasn't actually dead so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

21. When do you think they were at their happiest?

Hard one. There are a lot of good moments to choose from. Tentatively, top three being. Killing with Will (obvious), when Will comes to see him willingly after he's arrested (obvious again), and not really in competition but probably pulling off the entirety of the framing will shifting into framing Chilton (Big payoff of a lot of work and probably in some misguided way thinks that it might get him back into wills good graces. Plus, I think he disliked Chilton a good deal). I'll get back to you after Rewatch finished

Ryo:

First impression:

The first time I saw Ryo was a compilation of funny moments from the OVA's, so I thought he was pretty funny and unhinged. And probably also gay

3. A song that reminds me of them: again, due to meme compilations, boys say go by depeche mode

23. Future headcanon: I'd like to hope a timeline or many where he and everybody else gets to live happily ever after :') and probably a lotta struggle but perhaps also growth

Jiang cheng:

First impression: Well, his first appearance I didn't know which characters would be characters so I only vaguely remember thinking 🤔 he's kinda funny in an awful way, kinda a mean guy. And as they got more into him as a character, tragic

5. Favorite ship with them: Gotta go with wen qing, also the only character I even kinda ship him with. They have fun energy, I only really remember him being like. Decent and nice to her? And the other characters he wasn't terrible to I just don't really see any like romantic potential

12. Sexuality headcanon: oh man I guess straight? Heterosexual? I could maybe see him being asexual or aromantic, but I don't necessarily think he is. Maybe asexual

Yunho Comes Back

An ATEEZ fanfic by AbsentCaryatid

Set in JC world after Where Mingi Has Never Gone Before

4.2K words, Teen and up. Content note: single parent Yunho, asexual and agender reader using she/her married to Mingi and with aromantic, asexual Jongho as her queerplatonic partner, polyamory, relationship abuse briefly mentioned in passing but not present in story

Aurora hummed happily while painting one of her father’s nails. Yunho looked fond as he recalled, “Hongjoong used to do this for me sometimes, back when we had just debuted.”

On his other side, Nero was scrolling through her phone but stopped when her twin Aurora abruptly mentioned, “Dad, we need to talk.”

“This sounds important. Is it an update to someone’s sexual orientation? You know I support you both no matter whoever you are interested in or if desiring no one at all. But tell me, I always want to hear more about your lives.” Turning more serious he inquired defensively, “No one is hurting you in a relationship are they? Is something wrong?”

Aurora’s eyes went wide and she shook her head. “Whoa, no, nothing that heavy.”

“You sure? Aurora, you have been leaning more non-binary these days, if you want to update your pronouns just say the word. I will go to school myself to make sure the teachers know the new information and use it. I’ll even homeschool you if they don’t respect that.”

“Dad! Dad! Hold up. I feel so loved the way you have my back with such enthusiasm but no that’s not it at all. Please listen. I love you for your concern, but this is about you.” He was taken aback with no idea what this must be about. A little hesitantly Aurora began, “You know we have tried to help you date.”

Yunho interrupted his daughter to point out, “Your classmate’s mom was perfectly nice but not right for me.” There had been a few attempts at dating here and there but the sporadic nature was indicative of his heart not being in it. He already had the ideal partners in mind and his kids kept his hands full anyway. “You don’t feel our family is missing something having a single parent, do you?”

This time it was Nero who reassured her father. “You are everything we could ever need. We just want you to have all the happiness you deserve. As perfectly as we fit together, you should have romantic relationships too, we won’t be living with you forever you know.”

He gave a rueful smile at the thought of his kids growing up and leaving one day, perhaps soon as the possibility of college neared. This had all gone too fast since he had adopted them as young teens.

“Dad, do you ever think about getting back with your partners? Uncle Mingi told me a bit of your history. Once I told Nero she agreed we should talk to you about it.” They both took note of the way Yunho’s eyes moistened. Aurora continued sympathetically, “We could always see something in the way you three look at each other. You seemed like a family too.”

Nero took her father’s available hand. “You gave up so much for us and that is something we can never repay. But at this point, nobody is going to challenge the adoption with a morality clause when we are so close to adulthood. We’d run straight back to you anyway if they did try to separate us.” Taking his unpainted hand between hers she gently reassured, “You should know some of our friends are polyamorous so of course we will be accepting.”

Yunho grinned and pulled them both into a strong hug while attempting to be mindful of the fresh polish on his nails. “Of everybody in the world, I know nobody loves me like my daughters. Here I thought I was taking care of you but it really goes both ways.” He looked at them with determination. “I would give up romance forever to keep my girls safe if I had to.”

“But you don’t, dad.” Nero truthfully noted. There was a pause where a few sniffles could be heard from Yunho then she continued. “So, you know parties and people aren’t really our thing. If you wanted to have a weekend away we could responsibly hold down the fort here on our own.”

“If you leave us money for sushi and fried chicken,” Aurora added with a grin.

“Let me think about this, maybe talk to a few people. In any case, I will plan for time elsewhere and figure out later if I want it to be alone or not. I’ll give you a date and you two can make plans of your own, even inviting some friends to sleep over if that interests you.”

“Go to your partners, dad,” Nero urged. “It hurts to think how much you gave up for us.”

“Please don’t look at it that way when it is you two who have given me so much. I would have sacrificed anything to be your father, walked away from ATEEZ if that is what it would have taken to be allowed to adopt, or given up my own parents if they had not approved.” The girls gasped at the impossible thought of what life would have been like without their doting grandparents or if their beloved uncle had not been accepting of them as adoptees.

Yunho pursed his lips. “If we do get back together, you know this means I’m asking you to be discreet. My love for my partners is something I would prefer you to hold close to your hearts.”

Both girls nodded immediately and Aurora spoke for the two of them. “All these years you have protected us from public scrutiny as Yunho’s trans kids. We owe you nothing less in return and are happy to do this for you.”

“There is no debt, you have been nothing but a gift to me,” he said while embracing his daughters again. Yunho began to tear up with happiness, something his children were accustomed to and found endearing about their dad. They started giggling and humming ‘Not Too Late’ and Yunho joined in with a smile.

Later that evening you picked up a video call from Yunho. For years now you had been cordially friendly at work in your role as KQ Vice President but had not sought each other out because it was still so painful to see him and not be together. He looked like he had been crying and your instinct remained to reach out toward his face on the screen in comfort as he spoke. “Perhaps you know why I called.”

You chuckled. “Mingi did say he had outed our mutual history in a recent conversation with Aurora. Did your girls take it well?”

“Better then I could have dreamed. I filled in a lot more. As much as she would have welcomed you in a motherly role, Nero was particularly glad you stuck to your childless boundaries and let me go rather than trying to parent when only interested in me rather than childrearing.”

You breathed a sigh of relief. “We never wanted to hide the past from your daughters, just keep them from thinking they were the cause of our breakup.”

“I think they understood that as much as they could. The kids love me so much and they do not want me sacrificing other sides of my heart for them so they flat out told me to run back to you and Mingi if that is what I wanted. They are young so they do not know things are not that simple, no matter how much I long for it to work like that.”

“Who says it can’t be that easy? The day you left I swore my arms would always be open to you and Mingi feels no different. Our breakup was something none of us wanted and you were right to be careful when it came to being able to adopt your children.” You closed your eyes and tried to manage your strong emotional reaction to this news. “I had not dared to hope you might return. Should I talk to Mingi?” You wiped away a tear of joy. “He will want to know what got me sniffling. Yunho, before you take me back there has been a development you need to be aware of. Jongho and I….”

He smirked like he had won an argument you hadn’t even known you were in, much less had lost. Yunho had recognized your attraction to Jongho long before you had figured it out for yourself. The youngest teammate had moved into the home you shared with Mingi which was something known by all the members of ATEEZ. However, the exact nature of the relationship was something not generally discussed. Jongho was always a private person but his brotherly affection for his former roommate was evident and if nothing else, it was understood how much Mingi had missed Jongho after leaving the dorm upon marriage. Truthfully, Jongho was there for both you and Mingi even if it was your closeness that had primarily motivated the relocation.

“We aren’t romantically involved, but it is far more than friends. We love each other but not the same way you and I do.” Yunho nodded understandingly. “Jongho did not replace you but offered deep friendship in that difficult time. My queerplatonic relationship with him is no impediment to being with you just as before and Jongho has no say over who I get involved with like Mingi does as my romantic partner.”

As you had suspected, this confirmation of his observations was not a problem for Yunho. “I left you in such an abrupt way. I am glad you found comfort in such a good man.”

“We cuddle sometimes, just to talk for hours and relax together laughing. Also the occasional showers and hot springs. Now that he has moved in we share the spare bedroom since my snoring was keeping Mingi awake. Jongho won’t mind me telling you he is asexual like me, as well as aromantic, but that does not make the relationship any less of one as you know firsthand.”

“So the rumors he had fathered a child by another idol are not true. I did not think that sounded like him.”

“You know some aces do have sex, Yunho.”

“Well, well, well. I have seen the pictures online, the baby does look a lot like him. Jongho always did have hidden depths.”

“It is not what you are thinking, but Jongho can tell you that story if he wishes.”

This latest update told Yunho he had some catching up to do with his friends but he had more pressing concerns at the moment. “Back to us, you don’t need to tell me what you get up to, it does not make a difference. I will always be yours.” Now Yunho grinned. “I feared you would be lonely. I owe him a lot even though he was not doing it for me, I am sure.”

“Jongho really helped me through the constant ache of your loss, what I thought could be permanent then.”

“Mingi did not want to be hugged for days at a time?” You each smiled at the familiar joke with a kernel of truth that you never tired of holding the men you loved. It felt fantastic to be together again with Yunho in whatever capacity he was willing to be yours.

He gazed at you lovingly. “I will never try to own you, your body is yours alone. Any happiness you can bring others is something good you put into the world. I could discover you in bed with the rest of ATEEZ at once and I would not want you any less.”

Your eyes went wide at that scenario. “I could never do that to Yeosang’s wife! The whole group?” You shook your head. “Definitely not on my list of things or people to do and I am glad I don’t get mental images to try to forget. That’s a definite no for me as close as we all are.” A smile returned to your face. “As it is, regularly getting intimate cuddling with three of you is already far more than I ever sought in life.” Remembering how much you needed his touch after so many years apart you asked, “Do you want to come over for dinner sometime soon then?”

“Aurora and Nero are shoving me out the door for a whole weekend if you will have me.”

Your face lit up with excitement. “Of course! I can’t wait to tell Mingi we have something big to celebrate tonight.”

Suddenly shy, Yunho asked, “Are you sure he’ll still be interested in me?”

“We’ll just have to find out.” The wink you gave was completely unnecessary because both of you knew your husband would be over the moon at this long hoped for reunion. Mingi had been just as bereft apart from his boyfriend, without even the solace of an additional partner like you had found with Jongho. As much as you had encouraged Mingi to pursue another romantic relationship, his heart was set on Yunho only. So, it was with great pleasure you agreed to Yunho’s plan to visit and after some longing looks you told him for the first time in many years, “I love you.” That set his tears off again and clapping a hand to his mouth, he returned the sentiment in a whisper before hanging up, leaving you alone once more.

In no time at all you were bawling yourself, shuddering with relief. Eventually you felt up to picking up the wet tissues all over the bed, washing your face, and interrupting Mingi in the kitchen with the important information. His reaction was similar to yours in a lighter degree but no less heartfelt. Wrung out, you both slept soundly that night in your own beds dreaming very pleasantly of Yunho.

Luckily all around, it was only a week later when the man himself walked through the door of your home and quietly sat at the piano bench to play his signature greeting, ‘Summer’ by Joe Hisaishi. While originally being held temporarily, the piano never had moved to his apartment because his autistic daughters did not want the sensory overload and Yunho, like any good parent, was very respectful of their needs. It had been easy enough to buy an electronic keyboard instead and use it with headphones whenever he felt musical.

Reviving the old custom, you ran to the living room upon hearing the song announcing the presence of your other romantic partner. In a break from tradition, neither of you could wait for the song to finish. Leaping from the bench Yunho met you with a question on his lips. “Can I kiss you?” You offered a hand and a cheek and both were covered in the loving gesture before he wrapped you in the largest hug of your life. You felt like a life preserver to him and in fact that’s what you were in some ways. “To think I was once scared Jongho could replace me. I guess in some ways he did.”

“You know it isn’t like that, there’s no one who could replace you.” Yunho leaned into the warm hand stretched up to hold his cheek as you explained, “There has not been a single day I have not wanted you back. Mingi will tell you he felt the same when he gets back from a walk the store. He had to do something with all his nervous energy.”

Yunho radiated confidence underlining the truth of his words. “I don’t worry anymore, I’ve grown far more secure which is a strange thing to say because I had to separate from you and Mingi to learn that. I can survive anything, but now to have both of you to come home to on a visit while keeping my kids makes my life complete.” Looking you up and down he again wrapped you in his arms. “It means the world to me you do not hold our breakup against me.”

“Yunho.” Your voice went soft and soothing while stroking his hair, “I know how necessary it was. Seeing how well your daughters turned out makes me so proud of you for your painful, necessary decision years ago. Once I got over the shock, I truly felt pride watching you grow together.”

“They were the ones that pushed me back toward you, you know.”

“I think you really raised Aurora and Nero well, Yunho.”

“Mingi helped, he has made a fantastic uncle to my girls, Jongho too. You recall at the adoption he agreed to be their secondary guardian if something happened to my parents. Jongho really has been another brother to me. It is funny how things keep coming back to the four of us being a family unit bound by love in different ways.”

“Do the girls know how much Jongho means to me?”

“Being queerplatonic partners is yours and his to tell if desired but I am pretty sure they could roll with it. Young people today seem to understand an awful lot since they can research things online and I am impressed with them for that. You might want to hold off for now though. I am still waiting to see how well they can keep my polyamorous relationship with Mingi and you under wraps. I don’t like requesting secrecy from them but I think it’s for the best.”

“Yunho, was that a ‘kids these days’ but in a good way?”

“Yeah it was. Nothing makes you feel old like being a parent to children on the verge of becoming adults. I know they came into my life as young teens but it does make me feel ancient some days.”

“Well you don’t have to worry, I like older men. It even looks like you’ve got some lovely gray coming in over your ears where the color job is growing out. Fatherhood has suited you…,” there was a pause as you debated the word choice, but then you added, “daddy.”

“Oh no, don’t you start too,” he complained good-naturedly, understanding it was only goading on your part. “Mingi’s been playfully calling me that for years now, ever since the girls came into my life.”

You laughed together as if you had been partners for a long time because in fact you had been and even with the multi-year interruption you were back to the same point instantly. It had been hard going without the constant casual teasing that brightened your day whenever you were around Yunho. Your relationship was a romantic one, but built on a strong foundation of deep friendship and admiration for each other.

“My love,” Mingi’s deep voice announced longingly after the front door closed behind him. Both of you turned at the familiar endearment but you shepherded Yunho into the arms of his former partner for a reunion as tender as your own. Only now did you realize the full hardship of the two men having to work closely together after their breakup, even to the point of providing Yungi fanservice for audiences over the years.

The opportunity to bury yourself in work and keep distance from Yunho as you had done was a luxury Mingi never had been given other than when each completed his public service term. Seeing them so joyfully together now, you hoped nothing would come between your husband and his boyfriend ever again. While their passionate kisses deepened, you retreated having announced you would be busy in the kitchen with music and dinner could wait as long as they needed it to be held. Unsure if they even had heard you, your heart felt lighter than it had for a very long time.

Both you and your husband had your boyfriend back in your lives and while it would take time to recover from the missing years, the certain future from this point on went a long way toward providing some healing. Frequent date nights and long weekends with your mutual lover resumed with wholehearted approval of his kids who acclimated to less time with their father at home.

Time and a new habit of snoring had brought changes to the relationship though. Yunho and Mingi shared the king bed of the master bedroom with space for you to freely to pop in anytime. Cuddle pile naps were a favorite all around. Often the bedtime routine would begin with snuggling in various configurations with your two romantic partners and a promise to return in the morning, but to spare their sleeping ears you left to your own bedroom happily for you would not be alone.

Jongho maintained a nominal residence at the ATEEZ dorm as did the others but his real home was with you and your shared bed. That had come about once the snoring began a few years ago. Mingi could wear earplugs sometimes but he really did not sleep as well so you had set up full time in the spare bedroom’s large bed. It turned out to be an advantage to give your husband better rest at night while you were free to move around the house without disturbing him if you came to bed late. None of that bothered Jongho who could sleep deeply, undisturbed by any of your noise. So there you were, Mingi and yourself a married couple each with your own bed and nighttime partner. It probably would not make much sense to outsiders but it worked well for all four of you and that’s the only thing that mattered.

You had even offered to divorce Mingi with no change in your heart or living arrangements if he wanted to be the spouse of Yunho instead but the preference all around was to preserve the privacy of their relationship with the appearance of you and your husband living with two good friends as roommates. Although your willingness to divorce was seen for the kind and supportive gesture it was with no reduction in the love and affection between you, both of you were glad it was not taken up. Publicly being known to be his wife gave you a warm feeling and he felt exactly the same pride to be your Mingi.

Yunho was content to be more subtle knowing there was no less dedication from his boyfriend and agender girlfriend despite the lack of publicity. He knew he had the support of his daughters, his partners, every member of ATEEZ, and the administration of KQ Entertainment backing him up if he ever wished to be acknowledged as in a very loving polyfidelitous triad. The thought alone was enough for him, and the recognition from his children and teammates that he was securely partnered.

For his part, Jongho also enjoyed the under the radar nature of your queerplatonic relationship befitting his aromantic and asexual leanings. Being open about those identities was not something important to him and would have impacted his attraction as an idol so he kept things very quiet. This allowed him to continue his busy social calendar of mutually agreeable fake dates with female idols to provide cover for their actual partnerships with other women. His discretion and good company had been so successful over the years that “dating Jongho” had become a coded reference to those in the know to recognize each other in the heavily closeted industry.

Within a few years Yunho’s daughters were on solid footing as independent adults and his stays stretched longer and longer with their encouragement. Finally he was ready to be settled in one place, as much as a hardworking and still in high demand idol could be. One evening, while his head was in Mingi’s lap on the couch across from the loveseat you shared with Jongho you asked, “Thinking about moving in then? The rest of us are all for it and would add you to the deed to the house as an equal homeowner as we did for Jongho.” You smiled at your queerplatonic partner and took his hand. Turning back to Yunho you confirmed, “You would not be living with us, you would be home.”

“I would like that, I would like that a lot.” And so Yunho became a permanent resident with the help of his daughters who were treated to a pizza feast for their labor. You encouraged Nero and Aurora to leave some clothes and other items in the newly enlarged spare room that would be theirs any time they wished and they happily took you up on the offer regularly as did the other members of ATEEZ and their children. It felt good to be part of such a big family. While children were not for you, getting to know your partner’s daughters as adults warmed your heart and you enjoyed the mutual closeness that developed over time.

When work took him to Seoul Yunho stayed at his former apartment where his children had taken over the lease or joined Mingi at the old dorm, now sparsely inhabited, when their practice ran late or there would be an early call. His time was divided among parenting his adult daughters who would always need him just as he needed them, local projects with ATEEZ, and touring but always coming home to his romantic partners you and Mingi, and his honorary brother Jongho. It was a good life filled with love and he had everything he could ever want. So did the rest of your unusual little family.

It's ongoing, but isn't my top priority so updates are sporadic. The good thing, though, is that everything is a self-contained oneshot, which means there are no cliffhangers. Even the multichapter works are only grouped for efficiency, not because they have an overarching plot.

My one and only chaptered work for HP so far, this is a canon divergent retelling of the entire HP series through the lense of Taylor Swift albums. Nothing super specific, but each chapter is a year of Harry's life as he grows up and develops along with the vibes of TS albums.

Chapter updates are whenever I get them done, so sporadically. Please be assured, however, that this fic will be finished, even if it takes me years (I do not plan on it taking me years).

Get to Know Me

There are various things about me that I mention vaguely in ranting posts, that I know some of my followers don’t know. So I’m writing some stuff here, for people who want to know me better! 😉

I’m PiracyTheorist, for personal reasons I don’t share my real name or selfies publicly here. You can call me Nette.

Current fandoms circulating around here:

- Colin O’Donoghue (sporadic but massive posting whenever he graces us with new content)

- Resident Evil Village (there will be horror and graphic content, as well as spoilers for the game and its DLC Shadows of Rose) (tag will mostly be “Resident Evil” and/or “re talk”)

- Spy x Family (I’m up to date with the anime but I don’t read the manga, so please no manga spoilers)

- Our Flag Means Death (occasional posting), and some other random stuff I’m into.

Personal stuff:

I’m 28, I was born in a small town in Greece. I lived on an island for six years, where I studied music teaching. I now work part-time, as a kinda daycare teacher (I don’t know what the equivalent of what we have here for other countries is, but it’s basically spending time with some kids and guiding them through various activities, including music ones and stuff), and I finally live on my own. I don’t get paid much, and I only rent a small studio, but I’m managing my own finances.

I was only near the sea for those six years, but I still miss being able to simply go for a walk and look at the sea. I live in a landlocked city, the nearest beach is about an hour of driving away (for Greek standards, that’s a lot, tbh) but I don’t have a license, so it’s not that easy to visit the seaside 😅.

I support all genders and sexualities and ways people choose to live their own lives.

I am a certified cat person™. I have one of my own (though she lives in my parents’ house and I only see her when I visit):

I find dogs cute as well, but I prefer cats for myself.

I have three older siblings, and lots of older first cousins - I’m one of the youngest in my extended family.

I attend therapy sessions. Sometimes I talk here about my sessions, or about things I want to say in them. I tag those posts as “nette therapy” so you can filter that if you want.

I love travelling. Thanks to being a part of several choirs while studying, I’ve visited various places in Europe, and I hope to be able to visit more.
