hello my spooky lovelies! 👻🦇🎃🌙🩸💀🕷

in celebration of the spookiest month of the year, I have allowed some mischievous spirits onto the blog to pause our normal queue and instead host (ghost host, if you will) a month-long halloween-themed bracket tournament of some outfits that have been featured on the blog since its inception 🎃🦇

here is how this will work:

there will be seven different brackets, each based around a halloween-y color combo (listed below with links to the masterpost for each bracket)

each poll will last ONE DAY rather than the usual week, after which a winner will be decided to go on to the next round

due to the number of outfits in each bracket, five brackets will start at the same time (sept. 28), and two will begin partway through october

the brackets will not compete with each other, so there will be seven winners at the end

the round one matchups have been chosen roughly based on date (so, it might be an outfit from 1837 versus one from 1843), but the mischievous spirits have little regard for orderliness, and have shuffled the various matchups so that in the second round, a 1950s outfit might be competing with one from the 1880s

as a result of this, various matchups may not be very comparable (especially as the tournament progresses), so use whatever criteria you see fit to pick which outfit you'd rather wear 🎃🖤

with all those logistics aside, I encourage you to peruse the brackets, choose your favored champions, and even fill out a bracket if the... spirits... move you!

Regarding my fanfic uploads; lately, I’ve been finding it harder to balance everything that's going on in my life currently, so I’m going to post only once a month. (How many fanfics posted on that chosen day may vary.)

To make this work for everyone, I’d love to hear your thoughts on whether you’d prefer uploads at the beginning or the end of each month. Feel free to drop a comment with your preference!

If you’re requesting something from Call of Duty Zombies, I’m still learning the lore and everything and I only write Richtofen as of now

For Danganronpa, I’ll write for the games only. I haven’t seen the anime yet, reason why I can’t write for it. I’ll also write for any character except Celeste and anyone from the anime and Ultra Despair Girls. My favorite characters to write for are Teruteru and Hifumi

For the Super Mario Bros Movie, I’ll only write for Bowser for right now

For Villainous, I haven’t seen the show yet but I have seen the shorts so I won’t write for anyone from the show only yet

I have the right to reject a request for whatever reason (I think I can’t write it, it’s not a fandom I’m in, I’ve already written something too similar to it, I’m uncomfortable with it, etc) and I might either answer your ask politely rejecting your request or I just delete the ask

If I'm obsessed with a certain fandom I'll be more focused on writing for it but I don’t mind if you request something from a different fandom (though I prefer if you request something from the fandom(s) that I’m currently obsessed with)

I’m a lazy procrastinator who fears I won’t be good at interpreting the characters well. It might take a while for me to finish your request because I either procrastinated, didn’t know how to write the character you requested, or both. Another reason why I wouldn't finish a request quickly is because I had a lack of motivation and/or inspiration which has been happening a lot recently, so if your request takes longer from that then I sincerely apologize

Please be specific when requesting something, if you aren't specific I'll assume you're fine with something random. And for polyamorous relationships, please specify the relationship (ex: Is Character A and Character B dating each other and the reader or are they simply friends who are both dating the reader?)

Crossovers are welcome here, the only rule is it has to be in my list of fandoms. You can still ask me if I know a certain TV Show/movie/video game/book/anime. If you request anything anime, chances are I don’t know it since I haven’t seen a lot of anime. I want to watch more, though (at some point)

If you’re requesting something from Call of Duty Zombies, I’m still learning the lore and everything and I only write Richtofen as of now

For Danganronpa, I’ll write for the games only. I haven’t seen the anime yet, reason why I can’t write for it. I’ll also write for any character except Celeste and anyone from the anime and Ultra Despair Girls. My favorite characters to write for are Teruteru and Hifumi

I love writing for yanderes because I find it fun but I don’t support anything any of them do

I heavily prefer to write for soft yanderes who are still very sweet and loving towards their darling, who still allow them to have friends and go out but are a tad bit controlling and manipulative but also very much lovesick and obsessed with their darling; I don’t really want to write for anything extremely abusive

I have the right to reject a request for whatever reason (I think I can’t write it, it’s not a fandom I’m in, I’ve already written something too similar to it, I’m uncomfortable with it, etc) and I might either answer your ask politely rejecting your request or I just delete the ask

If I'm obsessed with a certain fandom I'll be more focused on writing for it but I don’t mind if you request something from a different fandom (though I prefer if you request something from the fandom(s) that I’m currently obsessed with)

I’m a lazy procrastinator who fears I won’t be good at interpreting the characters well. It might take a while for me to finish your request because I either procrastinated, didn’t know how to write the character you requested, or both. Another reason why I wouldn't finish a request quickly is because I had a lack of motivation and/or inspiration which has been happening a lot recently, so if your request takes longer from that then I sincerely apologize

I go by Amber and Jonas and I’d really appreciate it if you used both names for me! I identify as genderfluid and a trans man; male, female, and nonbinary; and my pronouns are He/They/She. I’d really appreciate it if you mix up my pronouns/gendered terms when referring to me (ex: “Where are they, I saw them a while ago? Actually, I think he might be in his room. For Spooky Month I match you with KEVIN!

Kevin is Pansexual! So he wouldn’t mind if you were bisexual, Kevin is the type of man to take you to pride (if he has work off). Kevin doesn’t care what you smell like unless it’s candy, it gives him ptsd from his daily hell. Kevin will probably try to keep you far away from his job as possible just incase one of the kids brings in more trouble.

Kevin is far from an extrovert so there isn’t worries there, he does like to socialize but understands that you don’t want to sometimes and helps you if you want him to and if he can. Kevin loves it when your happy enough to be loud around him, he can tell that he has made you comfortable and it makes him happy- but he won’t admit it.

He won’t admit this either but after long days (usually everyday) it makes him really happy when he gets to cuddle with you, he is the time of man to get flustered easily so I imagine that he’s embarrassed to hold your hand or ask for affection in public so he’ll just kinda do it randomly or turn red. And what great news! Kevin is the type of man to listen to you talk- about anything really it’s nice when he gets to relax after a hard day. As long as you listen to him rant he’ll be happy.

Kevin struggles with holding his big mouth shut so you’ll probably have to deal with a lot of attitude.

I hope you like the nickname ‘dude’ or ‘man’ cause he’s gonna call you that a lot, Kevin finds it cute and funny that you type in all caps but for the most part he doesn’t mind. He understands wanting alone time, He’ll suggest that maybe you two could be alone together for a bit. But if you don’t want to it’s all chill he gets it.

Kevin will absolutely not understand why you have such low self esteem and lets getting you candies and giving you compliments randomly. Like if your at work or your busy you’ll get a random text like ‘your cute’ he hopes it will brighten your day.

We’ve all seen how Kevin can overthink and be pessimistic while he does think that way quite a lot he does try to have hope for your sake, he wants to help you and for you to feel safe and comfortable and most importantly happy with him Kevin likes to look at your drawings, he can’t draw for shit.

He’ll think anything you draw makes you a fucking wizard. He’d probably ask for lessons or if you could just teach him how to not be so bad, but it’s not because he wants to get better. He just wants to spend time with you. Kevin will think your fashion choice is interesting to say the least- but not in a bad way.

He just puts on his work clothes when he works and when he doesn’t a t-shirt and jeans so he doesn’t understand the appeal. Kevin is more of a stronger person as like taste wise, he doesn’t like fruity things or sweet things. He likes stuff like dark chocolate and coffee, so he doesn’t particularly like baking. Kevin will totally! Play video games with you- again if he has a time off work.

He loves to watch anime with you and wants to learn more about you as well! Kevin actually likes cafes so I imagine that you two would go there a lot for dates.

Overall I think Kevin would try to be a better person for you and himself, because he loves you. He also would try new things such as your fashion sense, maybe letting you do his makeup and nails! He’s very quiet but very kind and would totally protect you if you ever needed it!

My personality changes a lot, but for the most part I'm shy, creative, and passionate, but I can be aggressive sometimes because of some slight anger issues. I'm very artistic and love all forms of art, and I have things I'm very passionate about. I am really sleepy almost all the time though so that's a big part of my personality. I'm introverted for the most part but I still love to spend time with my friends and I love to make my friends happy. But the darker sides of my personality include extreme anxiety, overthinking, and worry. Your matchup for Slashers is... Stu Macher! Great that you love Halloween and all things spooky because with this man you will probably have horror marathon everyday. Maybe not the way you wanted He's very impressed by the fact you can play several instruments. He tried to learn playing percussion once but he quickly got bored. Stu isn't the most patient and persistent person. Stu doesn't mind your anger issues. He spends most of his time with Billy so he definitely got used to handling slight aggression. You have a bit different approach to people, I mean Stu is a total party animal and he's extroverted for both of you so you can quickly get tired of meeting with all his friends. Fortunately, he understands that you need less social interactions and doesn't pressure you into coming to parties with him. Stu often will gave a party to spend a few more hours only with you, ordering take-out and watching tv or going to cinema. He's rich so Stu absolutely spoils you. Your whole bed is full of stuffed animals he bought you but of course it isn't the only thing he buys for you. Clothes, books, CDs, tickets to the cinema or for concert - whatever you dream about, you have it.

Your matchup from Disney villains is... Dr Facilier! Your relationship could start with shared interest in witchcraft and it's one of the things you often talk about, telling each other whenever you learn something new. If you're interested, dr Facilier can teach you voodoo too. (After some time you become New Orlean's magic power couple) He appreciates the fact that you express yourself through art, if you agree, he hangs some of your drawings around the house so he can look at them whenever he wants. Dr Facilier is incredibly empatethic and  he quickly notices every time you're worried or your anxiety gets worse. He was a way with words so he comforts you a bit. I guess he tries to made some kind of amulet to help you.

Your matchup from Stranger Things is... Alexei! He's great in comforting you whenever you feel down and start overthinking. Even when he's just by your side, it soothes your anxiety. When your sleepy, Alexei always brings you a blanket and if there's a place, he likes to lay beside you. Sometimes he will take a nap too, sometimes he just wants to cuddle. Alexei never celebrated Halloween so when you explained to him what it is, he got overexcited. He's gonna become one of these people who wake up on 1st October and are like "omg it's halloween". He spends whole month planning your costumes (you have matching ones of course), buying decorations for Halloween and carving pumpkins (there's high probability that you will spend October eating every possible meal made of pumpkin). Horror movies are the only thing that Alexei doesn't like very much - or maybe not that he doesn't like them, he's just afraid of them. So when you're watching one, he always hugs you for comfort and he often covers his eyes. Speaking of movies and TV, he loves to spend time just sitting with you on the couch and watching them. No matter the genre, he enjoy everything especially that your discussions and comments make every show 10x better.
