I rewatched season 1 of Spongebob on Virgin Media back in like 2016 & then for ages I was waiting for them to put up season 2 and now I finally just rewatched seasons 2 & 3 with my Paramount Plus free trial lol (though I had to finish the rest of season 3 elsewhere when the free trial ended)

(On another note, I’ve been wanting to make a Spongebob OC- not sure whether to make her a fish or a mermaid)

Scrolling through the patbob tag is actual torture because every post is one of three things

1. Squidbob for some reason

2. Patbob hate

3. One screenshot of spongebob and patrick (not that I’m not happy to see it but you know. I came for a bit more than that)

I miss this SpongeBob. Even in seasons 1-3, I still hated Krabs (I know it’s kind of the point to make him a mean greedy boss but still. And I hate him more in post movie 1 seasons), and it felt SO GOOD to have one of the people who’s always looked up to him and does whatever he asks, call him out on his bull.

I’m not saying that SpongeBob doesn’t get angry in the newer seasons (at least the ones I’ve seen—basically the post movie 1 seasons), but when he does it’s for a dumb reason (A Pal for Gary for instance because holy damn he made me mad there). Like Sponge is naive but he isn’t stupid, so even he has his breaking points and will call out anyone who walks all over him.

Seeing the Dannypocalypse reminds me how old classic nicktoons are and how young me and my sister really are.

So if I get this correctly Danny Phantom premeired on Nickelodeon on April 3rd 2004.

Well, I have a sister, she was born on the ides of March 2004.

She is older than the cartoon by 2 weeks, and that’s wild seeing how popular a cartoon is to this day that when it made its debut when my sister was just opening her eyes for the first time.
