a compilation of trying to make splatoon-esq designs of metal gear characters with the caveat that i cant make anyone an inkling/octoling besides the snakes (and raiden but his ass isnt here) everyones sea creature under the cut and also just how i felt about the outcome of these

SO LIKE. overall while making these i was worried that they werent creature enough to be splatoon-esq until i realized that mmm actually. a lot of the time splatoon designs are actually just a person with a fish feature slapped on top of it like there are some stand outs ily finn feeder but like. i had to creature up the inklings so they didnt feel out of place (and side note il probably start just drawing inkfish like this its really fun) so like. idk overall im happy with it. esp mantis idk if its just bc mantis shrimp are really pretty to begin with but waow mantis came out good

we got the damn ripped up hero mode outfit from the new amiibo reveal, but still not the fuzzy octoling gear? wtf is nintendo on???? if this game reaches the last of its damn updates and we never get those cool goggles, or any pieces of that set for that matter, i'm starting a riot.

Snake Eater:

Gotta be one of the most iconic (and best) songs in the mgs franchise. Vocals and instrumental are both so powerful and tell the general plot of mgs3 through Snake's perspective. Also pretty touching because the lyrics are about the strong feelings he has towards his boss and you don't get to see such a tender side from Snake too much. Incredible song from an incredible game
