ROLE

The role of spirit is very complex to talk about, he works with purity (his wife), they both have separate places for work in. Purity, works for the heaven where the souls of the elements rest in peace. Spirit, works for the hell where he punish everyone who did the wrong. The souls never rest once you get here

His scythe have crystals. Each crystal represents the souls of the death ones and it divide by colors:

BLUE: the color of the element of water.

RED: the color of the element of fire.

GREEN: the color of the element of earth.

WHITE: the color of the element of air.

Once you are in those crystals it means your unfortunate soul got in the hell.

He also the god of karma! I never told this before. But he have two jobs at once, in god of karma form is a completely different person. A fancy and gentleman god that could seem a good person at first you met. But once you do something bad he snaps you to the reality, you got your consequences of your own actions.

Even though in his god of death have some limits, his god of karma form have no limits whatsoever. It can leads you to death or worst of the cases, suicide.

FACTS ABOUT SPIRIT (or lore lol)

He was once a child before. At first he wasn't a god. He used to be a earth element person, but he was adopted by the god of time/war so he don't stay or feel unsafe towards everyone else.

Unfortunately he died once the king/leader of nightmares/moonlight or even "satan" like the others elements calls him. Killed him during the war

The god of light, sister of moonlight, she given a second opportunity to spirit, unfortunately he needed to be born as a dark element.

Spirit grew up for being the god of death once moon given that job to him. He though it could be a good idea for him to work as that. He said that it could fit him and had a big potential.

Moonlight unfortunately didn't use him for good manners/stuff. He emotionally manipulated him and takes everyone in hell despite the fact they did something good in their lifes and never did a sin.

Due to that, he ended up being burned by the god of war/fire in the face. Maybe it was a consequences of his actions but at same time a mistake from them both for discussing violently or even judge each other.

Spirit and purity ended up marrying after having a lot of things in common despite that one works for the moon and one works for the light. It is interesing how they could fell in love after all difficults of the both gods.

Spirit and purity are the ones who need to decide if the person ends up in the hell or heaven. Though the element needs to confess what they did in their life, if they did a lot of sin a lot of bad stuff, they will end up in the hell. otherwise if the person ends up being a good one they will end up in the heaven

Spirit does indeed have a cousin who is also the god of death. But they are very different from each other, he loves visiting her time from time. Not often due lack of free time.

At the company retreat, one extremely drunk girl asked what my pronouns were. (Eventually, it took her a while to word the question.) After the whole conversation was done, she goes- "YEAHHH GURL, Get on with--with THY bad self! See what I did?? They/them/thy."

i'm just curious bc i'm watching How to Train Your Dragon and i always forget how happy and calm it makes me feel. i mean, i did name my cat after Toothless the dragon. but i also love Lion King, that's my Disney comfort movie. and my Ghibli comfort movie is Spirited Away. watching any of these when i'm in a foul mood or my anxiety is high always helps 🥰 but i watch them just for fun too, not only when i'm in a mood. what about you?

Just to make a point, every time I finished a panel of this I would export it as a PNG on the perceptual setting and use it as a color reference for the next panel

PLEASE CHECK YOUR COLOR SETTINGS

EDIT: If you're still having problems, it might help to switch from "Save/Save as" to "Export (as a) Single Layer". Just. Make SURE the box labeled "Expression Color" is set to RGB. I've been messing with this all day, and it looks like this combination of settings will allow exported PNGs to maintain their colors perfectly. To you. So far both Discord and Toyhouse still only display desaturated images and I cannot for the life of me figure out why

my biggest issue with the httyd live action-and just about any live action reboot is that it seems that the live action adaptations are being made to make the original “better”? like, so many people talk about a live action spiderverse, a live action hercules, a live action PRINCE OF EGYPT (dont piss me OFF.)-like animation is a beautiful work of art, and for some reason putting real people and cgi in it is supposed to be an “upgrade”? im probably being that friend that’s too woke or whatever, but i just think it’s so disrespectful to act like something that takes so much time and effort and energy is immediately considered as lower because it is animated. animation is beautiful, and it is one of the most heartfelt art forms there are, and erasing that for the sake of a cash grab is downright degrading to animation as a medium.
