Went out to see a rare orchid (Spiranthes diuvialis) with my mom and got a new moth and beetle out of the walk!

The moth is Cisseps fulvicollis, which is a type of tiger moth! They’re widely distributed in the eastern US I am honestly surprised I didn’t have this one yet.

The beetle is Disonycha alternata, which is a species of leaf beetle. They’re more sparsely scattered in the eastern and western US.

About the stage:

‘In the near future, the entire world is involved in the Third World War. Yamato, who was already an ally of Unite, will become a complete dominated country by the Unite. We have been given only a loose domination. One of the few recognized freedom is Trans. Thus, people can freely choose their gender, abandoning the gender they were born with. By doing so, they obtained powers that surpass normal human abilities. There are various abilities, but those who commit crimes using them also emerged. Fear, envy, hostility, worship...Having mixed feelings, people call those ability users Heli-X.’

Spiranthes (namely, Screw Flower) are ninjas (verse)

Last year, I saw a group of Spiranthes

 growing on the lawn of a neighbor's garden

and took a photo.

I turned it into a haiku and gave the mistress

a postcard with the photo and haiku on it.

What about this year? There were no Spiranthes.

She said: "If they haven't come out at this time of year, they probably won't come out this year."

But two weeks later, the screw vines came out beautifully.

Not only that, but they also came out on the lawns of two other houses.

They come out late and in the wrong places

- Spiranthes are ninjas.

私は昨年、近所の庭の芝生に

ネジバナが群生しているのを見て

写真を撮らせてもらった。

それを俳句にするのに合わせ、

写真と俳句をあしらった葉書を

その家の人にプレゼントした。

今年はどうか？ネジバナは出ていなかった。

彼女：「今の時期に出ていないということは、

今年は出ないかも。」

でも、それから２週間後、

ネジバナは見事に出てきた。

それだけでなく、他の家２軒の芝生にも、

ネジバナは出てきた。

出るのが遅れたり、また見当違いの場所に出たりー

ネジバナは忍者だ。
