I'm kind of confused by this short. The only secret stage in Sonic 2 is Hidden Palace Zone. As legendary as it is, the only "fun" part of that stage in the final release is watching Sonic fall to his death in a stage filled with corrupted graphics.

I think the artist was talking about Sonic Advance 2 and how you can get to True Area 53 if you beat the game with all characters and all Chaos Emeralds. The translator just made a weird mistake. But from what I've seen of it, True Area 53 is just a final boss fight where you play as Super Sonic. There aren't any acts that require platforming. And being the true final boss in a Sonic game, this thing could be considered anything but fun.

i think it’s fun when sonic’s kind of a dick cause he can’t recognize the limitations and feelings of others i think that’s a really fun character trait especially as an extension of his carefree nature and joie de vivre/thrill-seeking tendencies
