Zer0 invites Hatchworth to the manor. They have a nice chat. They talk about “papa”. Now Hatchworth calls him “papa”.

(***NO N*zis or TERFs allowed to interact with this post or my blog*** This is a post for Norse pagans or polytheists looking to work with Odin. This is all based on my own experiences working with the all father and nothing here is to be taken as a hard fact. If your practice differs from my own that is totally fine. There will be a lot of UPG and SPG)

An incomplete summary of Odin in Norse mythology.

Odin, god of war and wisdom is a key figure in the Norse myths and is involved in a lot of the stories. He is the head of the Norse gods and is called the All father, because it’s by him that all of humans were created. He is married to Frigg and together they had Baldur and Hodr. Odin also has other sons, Thor, Vali, and Vidar.

He has two ravens Huginn and Muninn, and two wolves Geri and Freki.

He only has one eye, he sacrificed his other eye by throwing it into Mimir’s well in exchange for knowledge that could better help him prevent Ragnarok.

Another famous story of his is when he hung upside down from the tree of life for nine days and nine nights to get knowledge of other worlds and to be able to know everything about the runes.

The type of magic he practices (Seiðr) was a feminine type of magic that wasn’t always looked highly on when men would participate in it. Yet our Allfather was very practiced in it.

My experience working with him: One thing to know about working with Odin going in, he will be very honest and blunt. My other deities have a habit of being softer on my feelings than I’ve heard other devotees say they’ve been with them, I’m assuming because I’m very sensitive. But Odin..? He does not care. He will stop giving advice if I tell him I don’t want to hear it. But, if I ask for advice…oh boy, am I gonna get his full opinion. He is very much a father in the way he goes about things, he cares but he wants his followers to push themselves as much as they can, learning as much as you can and always growing, never staying sedentary for too long.

I have a notebook dedicated to him that I’ve been using to work on learning the runes and that seems to be the best offering to give him in my practice right now. He never misses a chance to remind me I need to get back to learning the runes too.

I always wondered why it mattered so much to him that I learn them. Eventually he told me that it was because they really would be useful in spells, and wards and making bind runes out of them is something I’m learning to do now.

He is not the easiest deity to work with, he may even push your buttons on purpose to get you to think harder on things. I’ve noticed he’s even been rude before just to see if I’d stand up for myself and set boundaries and then he’ll explain himself after. Lots of tests trials and teachings. But man, is it worth it for the immense amount of knowledge and mentorship that he can bring. All in all, I’m glad he came to me later in my practice as I might’ve been scared off from deity work if he was the first. But, I love him to pieces and hope to work with him for a long time.

(Odin does not eat food so I’ve seen many people say not to give him food offerings, I disagree! Give him things that he can feed to Geri and Freki. He is known to still fill his plate and just give them bits over meals. So don’t hesitate to gift him any food offerings you would to any other Norse god)

Signs he might be reaching out; seeing ravens more than usual or in non native areas, very windy days, rain, seeing his name often, feeling drawn to his mythology, seeing his tarot cards pop up often, you already work with one of his sons (I think he sent Thor to me first to soften my idea of the Norse gods and be a warm intro into their pantheon.)

He is a great god to work with, lots of work though. Odin is not for the weak minded, but he’s been so worth getting to know.

A= Long story short, Hereditary (yes, the movie) changed my life.

hiya ! here are a few a/b/o tyo headcanons since there are no fics of them <\3 i love love love omegaverse and i know that’s a bit cringe of me so ive only written a few here but i do have a LOT more if people like this and want more !! feel free to add your own headcanons or discuss the ones i wrote !! these are written as thoughts not with any eloquence but i will probably write an actual fic with these headcanons in the future when i have my pc!

okay so vyvyan is an omega in my eyes. purely because i see him as one who wants to break the stereotypes because that’s punk. also how willingly he accepts that he could’ve been pregnant in Cash.

since mike is the oldest alpha in the house that’s why Vyvyan respects him so much as is always lowkey seeking his validation

also i’m a big believer that Vyv is the second most caring person in the house (after Neil) as he can be understanding and nice to his housemates, and although he is bad to SPG he clearly cares about him as seen in Summer Holiday (as well as looking after his begonia) so i think that’s his way of getting the mothering instincts out of his system

will constantly wear scent suppressors and take heat suppressants

i feel like he wouldn’t mind being an omega but also would be jealous of a lot of alpha traits

DEFINITELY wanted to fight Rick when he found out Rick was an alpha

i believe Rick could write a lot of poems about equality for omegas and Vyvyan finds that annoying because “what would he know about omega struggles” but Rick is actually very eloquent and educated in the topic

Rick is the opposite of Vyv, an alpha who is very in touch with his emotions whilst Vyv is an omega who hides his

although, Rick definitely tries to show off his alpha side when out in public (by puffing out his chest, trying to walk tall etc) and Vyvyan thinks he looks ridiculous doing it and will try to escape to not be seen with him

and whenever an alpha will try to hit on Vyvyan or Neil (the Omegas™) Rick will 100% start on some spiel like “OH! and you think hitting on random omegas in public is okay do you?” whilst trying to hide he’s actually really protective of them

Vyvyan hates it ofc and will flirt back just to piss rick off

Vyvyan roughhouses with Rick to prove how strong omegas can be (he wins every time much to ricks dismay)

I feel like Vyvyans scent would be floral, although because he wears so much suppressor even he can’t tell what flower it would be

Ricks scent is definitely tea.

Neils would be fruity i think, maybe peaches or apples

Mikes would be petrol or something proper grimy or musky because that’s what i think suits him the most

This is my poem for you

|Confusing names|

Epiales is his Greek name (considering I got a lot of flack for saying Icelus is a separate deity from Epiales I'm just going to see them as the same because the first mention of Icelus/Phobetor's name was in a Roman writing "Metamorphosis" by Ovid. So technically, he is Roman but was still around in Hellenistic Paganism as Epiales in spg(possibly upg* but not sure tbh). But he prefers the name Icelus in my own personal experience so I am going to call him that

*The freakazoid crazy but lovable uncle going through a midlife crisis. He is known to show up in dreams as beasts and animals. So I took meltonin, which apparently gave me night terrors, but I needed to see Icelus/Phobetor, so I had a dream, and this pale skinned, dark eyed being appeared in my dream . It was not Morpheus taking on the form of Dream of The Endless cause he had a fancy headdress with a red jewel in the center and long black hair with black lipstick and a sinister smirk. He was in all black but didn't know what exactly he was wearing since it was just his head and shoulders. But I knew who it was... Icelus. So apparently, he was the giving me the night terrors, not the meltonin cause the dream was calm and not as chaotic as usual when I take meltonin. I think Morpheus kept his word and kept his rowdy brother in check, so he had no choice but to stay in the form that he usually takes . It wasn't a beast it was him in his (human like(?)) Form . I think his true form is something so terrifying that mere mortals die or go insane from upon seeing it. He is rough around the edges(he has a mouth like a sailor) but is actually sweet....in his own way. Usually, he teases Morpheus (or me sometimes) to make me laugh, especially when I'm feeling upset. But he guides by bringing tribulations to help you get stronger and to bring you closer to understanding.

He has a wild flamboyant personality, which is a complete contrast to me and Morpheus who are more quiet and introverted. He is a major troll to me sometimes cause when I asked him for a sign, he acted like he didn't want to, but then a couple of days later, he sent a brown recluse spider. Icelus, compared to Morpheus dresses, very elegantly. He is usually seen in suits or elaborate robes with 6 horned headdresses with a red jewel crowning his forehead, but sometimes he opts for a simpler but still bedazzled headdress. Icelus used to have long waist length black hair but lopped it off when he saw Papa Emeritus 3 of the band Ghost. Those three markings under each of his eyes....well....they are eyes as well. This makes sense to me since he likes spiders and spiders instill fear in many people . Icelus has fangs, of course, but his wingspan is significantly shorter than Morpheus's since yes, he is shorter than his brother but still a bit taller than me by a couple of inches He is the youngest out of the three named Oneiroi

Icelus tends to like dark spaces, which I learned by Clairsentience he likes to lurk in an unused bathroom in my dorm or currently in my apartment bathroom, laundry room or closet, so I tend to keep the light off in those area's. And whenever I turn on the light, my clairaudience picks up on him hissing. So keep that in mind when it comes to altar placement. Also, he is very good for shadow work and inner child work. He teaches me how to laugh and have a sense of humor since I'm usually very serious. He can be vulgar and rude at times, so keep that in mind . Icelus can be brutal at times, but through tribulations, he brings you to understanding. When it comes to banishing bad spirits, he will tear them apart, lol. Ie he very good at that!

Icelus, to me, sounds like Alex Brightman as Beetlejuice from the musical . Imagining Icelus doing and singing "The Whole Being Dead Thing" makes it even funnier cause it's not hard tbh

hi! I'm new to worshipping Apollo and Hermes and need to incorporate more devotional acts/offerings into my day. Do you have any ideas as to what I should add into my routine? Also, what makes something a devotional act? Like, I read that taking your medicine can be considered an act of devotion to Apollo, but do I need to, like, say a prayer or anything while doing so?

Devotional offerings are some of my favorite offerings! Simply put, devotional offerings are non-physical offerings or the act of creating an offering. They can be super simple or super intricate, it really depends on your practice. As for the medicine example (the offering being the act of taking your medicine), I personally would say a prayer in order to get into the right headspace. It’s really up to you! As for some examples (and this will stray a little bit into UPG/SPG territory), I think Apollon absolutely adores art from his worshippers. Whenever I finish a devotional poem to him, I feel a rush of joy and warmth that I think may come from him. Even if you don’t consider yourself an artist, try drawing or writing him something! I can’t give you any tips when it comes to Hermes, but I hope this helped!

WHAT’S THE WORST INJURY YOU’VE EVER HAD? a bicycle wreck a fair number of years ago. suffered a buckle break (basically i hit the ground so hard, a bit of bone was shoved out of place and up over another part), skinned my hands and knees pretty badly, my head slammed against the road, and one of my front teeth broke due to the force of impact.

Unpacking the Self: Years of Growth

A freshman student at Leyte Normal University, Paloma V. Buranday is taking up Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English. An 18 years old girl, full of dreams and ambition for her family. To be part of the university where she is in, was already a big achievement and accomplishment for her.

School days were considered as her unpacking years. Buranday spent her playful and joyful elementary days at Sta. Ana Elementary school. The call for duty and responsibility tapped her at an early age. She was elected as the Supreme Pupil Government (SPG) when she was in Grade-6. Then she continued to make colorful school days at Sta. Ana National High School for her Junior and Senior High School years. She was able to discover and develop her sense of self during these years. She was able to join different school competitions. The fear of facing the crowd was conquered when she was in Grade-9. She was the representative of the Junior Team for the search for Ms. Sporstsfest 2014. As a result of all the efforts, she won the title. There she started to gain confidence and believe that she can do something beyond her expectations. However, leadership was further boosted when majority of the students elected her as the Supreme Student Government (SSG). By this time, she was in her Grade-12 years. Buranday gave efforts to make her regime worth to be remembered through efficiency. She made sure that her parent will be proud of her through graduating Senior High School as one of the students with honors award. Aside from the reason that education was what her parents want her to take up in college, it was also her sister and teachers in high school who inspired her. She believes that everything that she learned about herself during elementary and high school years will be further developed and will be applied in her chosen field. For her, being in college means facing a battle without knowing when and where the opponent will attack. She know it will be the time where she will be tested by her own strengths and weaknesses. But nothing is fearful when she knows that the reason why she is fighting the battle will always be there to support her; her family.

However, making siday (waray-waray poem) has been her favorite way of expressing emotions and sharing experiences. Chasing for her purposeful dreams, she is motivated by these words: "Be happy for what you have while aiming for what you want." In simpler words, happiness is contentment.

Types of Media.

These are the types of media we use to complete our daily activities.

Print Media

this refers to paper publications such as books, newspapers, magazines, journals, newsletters, and other materials that are physically printed on paper but in some form, the print media have digital versions and are already available for download through applications or websites

Types of Print Media

1. BOOK

- a book which is a reading material that can either be fictional or nonfictional. Students use books as reference materials.

2. NEWSPAPER

- This is a printed publication issued at regular and usually close intervals, especially daily or weekly and commonly containing news, comment, features and advertising. These articles are printed on a daily or weekly basis. Newspapers also have an editorial page where editors of the article share their perspectives and opinions relevant and current issues.

There are two types of newspapers

- The Broadsheet

- Tabloid

3. MAGAZINE

- this is a publication that is issued periodically as it is released weekly, monthly or quarterly. Usually bound in a paper cover, and typically contains essays, stories, poems ect. by many writers, and often photographs and drawings, frequently specializing in a particar subject or area, as hobbies, news or sports.

4. JOURNAL

- This is similar to both newspaper and magazines.

- This is a daily record, as of occurrences, experiences, or observations.

- It provides accurate reports on specific topics such as medicine.

- This journal targets a particular type of audience such as medicine students.

5. NEWSLETTERS

- A newsletter is a written report, issued periodically, typically by a business, institution, or other organization, that presents information and news to people with a specific interest in the organization or subject.

- It is published either weekly or monthly

- Companies or organizations use newsletters to inform its readers about the updates and happenings in the institution or community.

6. BROCHURE

- This is a small book or magazine that contains pictures and information about the products or services offered by a company or organization.

7. FLYERS AND LEAFLET

- this is a printed sheet of paper which embodis information about a product for advertising purposes. These are being distributed and given free to targetted costumers to promote a product.

Due to my understanding about print media, what makes me think it's important is that it creates engagement and area credibility. It can provide a return on investment by creating a lasting image in a consumer’s mind. The importance of print media can be seen in many forms. It is portable and available at anytime even when there is no service or power. Many consumers prefer printed material like newspapers and magazines to digital versions. Print Media is also long-lasting, it can’t be deleted. It is also seen as being professional, and that professionalism allows for print media to achieve a credibility that is difficult to achieve in digital media. Consumers have more trust in print media over digital media. Print Media can be informative, as it allows companies that want to push a sale onto potential costumers to do so on variety of printed forms, such as brochures and color sales fliers. Print media also helps a company build it's image, because lasting photographs of the products or service the business offers can enhance the consumer’s impression of the product.

Broadcast Media

This consists of programs produced by television network and radio stations. It airs audio and video materials for public’s information, interest, or leisure.

Examples of Broadcast Media

1. RADIO

- The first known radio is attributed to the Italian inventor, Guglielmo Marconi, when he made the wireless telegraph in 1895.

- Announcers or DJs deliver the news or play music through radios.

This can be set in

- AM which is Amplitude modulation

- FM which is frequency modulation

2. TELEVISION

- This the transmission of programming, in form of still or moving images, via radio waves, cable vires, satellite, or wireless network to a reciever or other screen.

3. FILM

- this is similar to a television show as it offers a variety of themes and genres it can be about drama, comedy, horror, action, animation or documentary. It is also called movies.

SPG - means that strict parental guidance is required as the show may have themes that involve violence, horror, and inappropriate language that are not suitable for young audiences.

I think broadcast media is very important as is makes consumers feel more comfortable with brands that advertise in broadcast media.

A business that utilizes several avenues to display its products or services to its consumers sends a message that they're reputable and established this makes potential consumers feel secure, knowing that they're working with a business that won't be gone or out of business by next year. When potential client sees your television commercial or hears a radio advertisement is then exposed to your message through social media or organic search, you are gaining credibility as a business that is solid enough to be presented in multiple ways. When you're working to build your business and gain new clients, this credibility is invaluable.

Using Broadcast Media is also a good investment. When you invest in broadcast media in Austin, you're buying a product that can be used for many different purposes. It is defined as a catch term to specify all that is related to the internet and the interplay between technology, images and sound that is in contrast to old media which is a form of communication that came before digital technology including radio and Tv and printed materials such as books and magazines. It also constantly changes as technology is developed and widely adapted, what is considered new continues to morph. Are you familiar with DVDs and CDs? These were ways people watch movies and listen to music in the old media. Now, streaming services such as netflix and spotify are more popular in the new media.

Examples of New media are:

1. INTERNET

- It is an electronic communications network that connects people through various networks and organizational computer facilities around the world. The internet includes commercial, educational, governmental, and other networks, all of which use the same set of communications protocols.

2. Social Media

- websites and other online means of communication that are used by large groups of people to share information and develop social and professional contacts.

e.g Instagram, Twitter, Facebook.

The major fact that we have to know about New Media is that it is always changing.

Traditional media vs. New Media

- New media is often far less expensive than traditional media. Not only do you pay less for your advertisement, but you also pay less per person that you reach

- New media tends to be much more interactive than traditional media, as well. New forms of media such as social media allow for direct communication and interaction between business and consumer

- Having presence on social media allows businesses to enabling a sense of trust with consumers. We tend to trust our friends, and if a consumer follows you on social media it implies the same sense of trust.

- New media has a global reach, whereas traditional media tends to be highly regional. With new media you can reach global audience cheaply.

- New media is highly targeted, and just about everyone uses it. That means you can have your choice of audience.
