Wish me luck, tomorrow I'm attempting to cook spezzatino for the first time (it's an easy enough recipe, but it's literally my first time cooking anything different from pasta, omelette or tortilla, from scratch, sooo...) also attempting tiramisù and the torta paradiso too (I've made tiramisù a lot of times, but I was just the helper. My aunt did the actual thing I was just there to whip the egg whites and the yolks and the mascarpone. I jsut followed what she told me to do. It's also pretty easy a dessert to make sooo) and according to GialloZafferano torta paradiso is Also pretty easy to make, so while the spezzatino is cooking I will have like 3 hours just to make desserts. It's gonna be a fun morning!

SPEZZATINO DI VITELLO CON PURÈ
Un’idea gustosa e semplice per preparare la carne di vitello? Lo spezzatino con purè di zucca. Per cucinare questa ricetta sfiziosa per quattro persone servono 800 grammi di polpa di vitello. Si inizia ricavando lo spezzatino dalla polpa. In una padella, occorre poi sciogliere il burro e rosolare la carne su tutti i lati. Aggiungere un battuto di sedano, carote e cipolle e sfumare con il vino bianco. Una volta evaporato l’alcool, aggiungere timo, sale e pepe. Bagnare con il brodo di vitello e cuocere con il coperchio per 35-40 minuti a fiamma media. Regolare di sale e pepe a fine cottura. Per il purè, cuocere la zucca in forno a 180 °C per 30-40 minuti dopo averla condita con olio e sale (la zucca si può anche cuocere a vapore). Schiacciare la zucca e le patate in uno schiacciapatate. In un pentolino, aggiungere latte, burro, sale, pepe e noce moscata, quindi portare a bollore e, con una frusta, ottenere la consistenza del purè. Quando il composto è omogeneo, togliere dal fuoco e mantecare con il Parmigiano. Impiattare con il purè di zucca sulla base e sopra lo spezzatino. Per un tocco di gusto in più aggiungere anche un po’ di fondo di cottura.

La squadra's spice tolerance, from highest to lowest 🌶🌶🌶
1) Formaggio 🧀

Cheese man has the highest tolerance among his teammates, can easily eat a whole chili withput breaking a sweat and actually enjoys spicy food. However he has to remember to control himself when he makes " Aglio olio e peperoncino ", last time he sent one of his friends at the er ( more on that later 👀 )
2) Pesci 🐟

I know it's surprising, but pesci actually handles heat like a pro! His nonna and mamma are very fond on heavily seasoned cooking and they taught Pesci that a high tolerance to spices means you have a strong and warm heart.
He may not handle coffee, but he can easily eat a whole jar of 'nduja by himself!
3) Melone 🍈

Now Melone is more fond on sweet and sour than spicy, but his tolerance is actually kinda high! He can't actually explain that to himself and other to be honest cause he rarely eats spicy foods but when he does, you won't hear him complain that much; just some " ooh, maiala scotta scotta!!" Or " Deh che gliè un piccantino sto troiaio?"
4) Illuso 🔍

Now we are reaching the bottom of the pit, and illuso's sensitive tastebuds get a real kick in the shins whenever he eats spicy! Which is weird since he really likes pepper, but put even just a lil pinch of chili powder more than it supposed to be in his plate and he'll complain all night about how is tongue is " ruined forever "...such a drama queen
5) Risotto ✂️

You want the big scary capo out of your way for 2 hours? Make thai food for dinner, or even just season his pasta with the blandest chili powder you can find; you'll see him caugh and cry in no time.
His iron deficiency and his low spicy tolerance are a deadly mix and the only thing it can help him in that case is a 2 hours nap after a good ice cream, poor capo he tries his best when he goes to resturants tho 🤣
6) Prosciutto 🍖

No. Just no, take that f*cking devil dandruff away from him. Not only he can't handle spicy food, he hates it from the bottom of his heart! This includes both ethnic and italian foods, his refined palate only allows sophisticated and delicate flavours inside his mouth....and then smokes Malboro but that's beside the point! You'll never even see Prosciutto eating spicy food...but if you do prepare to see him run to the bathroom to throw up.
7) Ghiaccio 🧊

Tastebuds of a 3 year old child? Y e s!
Ghiaccio can't even SMELL the chili powder in the air that he starts gagging and caughing like crazy!! Even pepper has to stay away from his plate, and no joke he'll straight up punch you if you even dare to put something like that nearby his plate. And yes, he is the poor guy who went to the ER after tasting formaggio's food; apparently the nurses were afraid cause he looked like a rabid dog screaming blasphemies, crying, salivating and spitting....not a good sight at all.
In conclusion, Ghiaccio will have " spezzatino e polenta " grazie~
Pesca has the highest tolerance of the group, the boys saw her eating whole chilis like popcorn and were kinda freaked out 🤣

Quando si ha ragione...
Nel farmi le condoglianze, una mia amica ha scritto: ha tutto del così surreale quest'anno. A parte che il detto Anno bisesto anno funesto è tutt'altro che casuale, se la ragione si potesse vendere, lei farebbe dei soldi. Io penso a mio padre - con cui avevo, va detto, un rapporto molto conflittuale - più di quando era vivo. Dal lunedì al venerdì (con qualche punta il sabato e la domenica) mi tocca pensare agli adempimenti e alle formalità di quel mostro denominato Burocrazia. Leggo pochissimo, perché la mia mente è così stanca che non se la sente tanto d'impegnarsi. Preferisce cazzeggiare con roba leggera e trascurabile. Lo so che questa follia è destinata a finire. Però ci sono ancora dentro. E sono già stufo. Più dello spezzatino. (O era lo stufato? Boooh). Buonanotte a tutti.

More Stefano Headcanons!!!! (Also this is one of my favorite images of him!) some are more lighthearted and funny than others.
He has a pretty good singing voice. He’s the type of guy who sings softly, gets called a pretty good singer and either gets flustered or ignores what the person said
He HATES unprovoked loud noises. He isn’t a huge fan of fireworks or loud sounds in horror movies. He has to know the sound is coming beforehand otherwise he gets nervous, though he doesn’t show it
He had an angsty teen phase. He didn’t listen to authority and would sneak out of where he lived. Even throughout all of that phase though he still only listened to classical music
When he was recovering from losing his eye, he burned photos of himself. He doesn’t regret burning them, but he does regret impulsively doing them
He has an excellent memory. You can mention something you wanted years ago and he would get you it. The downside is that he remembers the day he lost his eye incredibly vividly
He isn’t much of a hugger, but if you were special enough to receive a hug from him, his hugs were filled with emotion, yet somewhat suffocating. He hugged like the world was ending and you were the last person on earth.
His favorite food is Spezzatino, Strawberry Crepes, and Scampi Shrimp
Someone punched him in the face once because they thought he was stalking them. He was actually just taking a picture of the place
One time, during the war, he was so focused on taking a photo that he nearly got shot in the shoulder. He got a graze instead. He vowed to never be too absorbed in art ever again. He never listened to his rule and still gets absorbed in taking a photo
At one point in his life, he had over a dozen cameras. He had to sell some to earn a little money one time, but when he took control over a section of Union he let himself have all the cameras in the world
He once killed someone because they nearly broke one of his favorite cameras. Even though he was angry he turned them into beautiful art (well his definition of beautiful)
He named each of his cameras. No one knows because he just says their name in his head
One day, when he had a scheduled photoshoot with Emily, he spoke in Italian for the whole day. He enjoyed it, even if Emily sometimes got frustrated on what he was saying
Honestly I’m thinking about making some about his life in Union and during the events of TEW2.
