This is Calypso but she mostly goes by Calee (or sometimes Citty when her name gets passed around too much and it gets "telephoned"). Her pronouns are She/They/It. Her class is Lunar Sorcerer and her race is Weretiger Shifter (but flavored more like "Werepanther" instead).

Hi Lauren! I just started listening to the AM Archives (which is amazing btw!!) and I was on episode 2 on Luminary and now there’s no sign of The AM Archives or The College Tapes on there. Is this because the podcast is being released weekly now? I’m sorry if I missed an announcement about this elsewhere. I couldn’t find any recent updates about the shows and luminary.

Hey!!! Yes, so sorry if you missed the announcement, but we’re now releasing The AM Archives and The College Tapes widely! We just released the third episode of The AM Archives two days ago so your timing is perfect - it’s right in the main Bright Sessions feed on all podcast apps (including Luminary!) Because we’re releasing it publicly, the individual show feeds were removed from Luminary (and unfortunately, there wasn’t really a way to put info into the app for folks, so we’ve mostly been communicating through the TBS feed/social media).

Hi! Happy Storyteller Saturday! I just discovered When Siren Blood Runs. I'd love to hear about Tajuddin and his sister! What's their relationship like?

Happy sts! That would make sense because when I stopped writing that story I kinda stopped talking about them 😅

However, Tajuddin and Faarih are very close nowadays. There's a lot of small tensions here and there, mostly related to Tajuddin's disappearing act that he pulled for six years, but apart from that and Tajuddin's ongoing rivalry with Faarih's fiancé, Iassar, they're doing pretty good. They both regard the other as smarter than them, so they both ask each other for help and advice whenever needed.

8.     Oldest WIP

It’s gone through quite a few metamorphoses. Let me break it down for you

Stage one: WIP about a girl who turns into a dragon 

Stage two: WIP about a dragon who turns into a woman and has to choose between dragons and humanity when she falls in love with a human

Stage three: WIP about a dragon disguised as a person living among humanity in a world where dragons do this all the time as a kind of game to see who can get the most humans tricked before skipping town. She, however, actually likes being a human way too much, and likes her life she’s created. All the other dragons kind of think she’s weird for wanting to stick around a be a lame human. Unfortunately, she’s way too good at pretending to be a person, and gets tasked with weeding out all of the dragons in a city to be put to death/chased out/etc. at risk of her own life if she refuses or is caught helping dragons escape. Now she has to choose between personal safety, and betraying either humans or dragons, not truly feeling welcome among either of them.

10.  Do you set yourself deadlines?

I would never make them. Plus, I prefer to just let the writing come to me whenever it wants. I don’t rush myself.

okay now tell them about wolf quest

Can’t believe you got on Tumblr just to read my infodump about MHA and then send this ask. You KNOW how I feel about Wolfquest. But fine I will tell them about Wolfquest just for you.

Okay SO. I’m kinda new to Wolfquest in relation to a lot of older players, I never played Wolfquest Classic and have only played Wolfquest Anniversary Edition (Wolfquest “3” sorta). But it is one of my favorite things and I love wolves so much :3

I really love how dedicated the devs are to adding to it and making it accurate!! I’m so stoked about the Saga (which is “the rest of the game” as they call it). I waited years and its finally out now!!! I haven’t played it yet though because my brain says the time isn’t right yet. I’m charging up though. My only regret is that I didn’t manage to play my first wolf (Willis) into her final year… I think I had 2 years left to go when the Saga came out. But its okay… I guess… its not a huge deal, I just wanted to play into her final year so I could have the full average Wolfquest experience before the Saga came out and changed the game forever. But its okay…

I’m also so excited about new maps!!! When I first started playing there was only Slough Creek, Amethyst Mountain, and Lost River (Classic), and also you always started in AM and would move to SC when you got your mate. Now you can start and move wherever you want!!! I also own Hellroaring Mountain but haven’t played much of it yet!! Had a friend spoil that you can get shot in it if you leave the safe area of the map and I was a little bummed and avoided playing it for that reason. But wanting to try it out soon!!! I also wonder when they will release Towerfall. I know they were going to awhile ago but changed their minds because people were confusing Towerfall for being the Saga instead of just a new map, so they released HRM instead.

I’m probably going to have to switch around the wolf spreadsheet now with the Saga being out and all… Rn I just use it to keep track of my wolves, their pups and mates, coat patterns and K Locus gene stuff, and the number of litters they’re on. It probably won’t need to be a huge change, there’s just new information that I might want to keep track of now (XP? Age? Where pups go after they disperse?)

I also love the new creatures they’ve been adding! Like pronghorns and wolverines! Makes the game feel sooo alive. I hope they still plan to add bighorn sheep! And I love the collecting achievements! Like collecting every type of antler and every type of skull! Its so cool omg holy shit. I also adore all the new howls they recorded and implemented!!

I really hope they add more coat DLCs. I want more coats for my wolves!!! I also really like the NPC coats and the process of unlocking them! I think its pretty rewarding :)

I alsoooo have a wolfquest sideblog where I mostly post screenshots from my game (its pretty inactive rn because I ummm have over 1000 screenshots and I’m intimidated about working through them). I looooove my wolves. My icon on that blog is also my first wolf, Willis, that I mentioned earlier :3 its @rendezvous-site if anyone is curious (pls look at my blog theme I worked so hard on it and I rly like it).

Ummm anyway this is something I’m also sooooo normal about.

[For context, Adam is not putting paint on Shay's face, he is drawing a picture of him.] A collision of stains covered his fingers, and the freckles on Shay’s face were lit in colour. He flexed his hand, the drying paint cracking at his knuckles. He slipped from the room and to the bathroom to wash the paint and pencil lead from his hands. And when he returned to the room, he sat at the desk and let the sketchbook dry, trying to listen for the call of the sea.

Tales of Merlia: Shadows of the Abyss: 12-25-22

It was a beautiful sight, otherworldly and beyond belief. It was a sight that was so shocking in fact, that it was enough to cause Delilah to give a sharp inhale.

Water filtered through the newly grown slits on each side of her throat, fluttering with panic as Delilah breathed in the sea as though it were fresh air.

It didn’t take long for Delilah’s breathing to slow as she finally took in the fact she no longer had legs and had a fish tail instead.

The tail was long, rather scrawny. Its dark teal scales glittered in the grey beams of sunlight shining through the choppy surface, mottled with large splotches of pure black patterned through her tail to her fin. Delilah’s fin was slightly round, similar to a rubber oar.

Delilah reached out to touch her tail, shocked to discover how soft and smooth the scales felt, before freezing in place as she noticed that her hand had changed too. A thin translucent webbing had grown in between her fingers. Her nails, which had been chewed down to the nail bed previously, now had grown into tiny points, similar to claws.

It’s real, it’s all real.

“Oi!” Collioc, a middle-aged Zarinian with cobalt skin and a grizzled beard, snaps near my face, breaking me out of my thoughts. “Order something or leave. You’re blocking other customers.”

“Right.” I look at the menu board—a hologram screen—though I’ve been here enough times that I probably have the damned thing memorized by now. “Ainead Moonshine,” I order, sliding onto a barstool, the drying leather cracked and peeling from idle fingers. Will Collioc ever replace these stools?

Dress | A Healer’s Lament

“I’m here to help!” I yell. “Call out so I can find you!”

“I-I’m here!” The voice comes again. Not quite inside the ship…

I wander around the hull of the ship. There, in the middle of broken, splintered planks, is a bosmer, leaning against the broken ship. She’s dressed in armor—one of the marines?

Bend | Forged in Fire

A sting cuts like a whip across her shoulder. Artemis cries out, instinctively staggering back, stumbling over the hem of her kirtle. She falls onto her backside, stinging—but its numbed by terror as the assassin bends over her.

Artemis glimpses golden cheek bones under the hood, silver eyes like a clear lake; bright, hungry, feverish with bloodlust. She can easily imagine a feral, unhinged grin under the assassin's mask.

Lonely | The Guiding Star

“Say, I’ve been wondering,” Collioc starts, pulling out a rag to clean a sticky section of the counter. “That tattoo you have”—he nods toward my forearm— “why a compass?”

“A star,” I correct, biting back a sigh. A diamond-shaped star, about the size of a medallion, my tattoo has often been mistaken for the common symbol of a compass. “Polaris.”

“Never heard of it.” Collioc pours another drink, handing it off to a patron.

“It’s the North Star on Earth,” I say, not surprised that Collioc doesn’t know of it; I’m not even sure you can see it in Zarin’s night sky. My father had told me about Polaris when I was younger, in the jumbled memories when the ache of everything became bone-deep and lonely. “Some call it the guiding star.”

“Oh, yeah? What’s it guiding you toward?”

I sigh, taking a long drink. “I’ll let you know when I find out.”

Stone | The Rebel and the Mage

Windhelm appears out of the fog, looming like a fortress in the gray, early morning light. The dark stone walls glint slightly with ice and frozen-over snow. Dockworkers flit back and forth as the Northern Maiden pulls into port.

I shiver slightly, wrapping my cloak tighter around myself. Dunmer clothing is cottony, but meant to keep out ash, not snow—but even then, nothing could've prepared me for Skyrim's bone-deep chill.

- A Healer's Lament was originally named When Darkness Falls. (There's content under the tag wip: when darkness falls, but the current tag is wip: a healer's lament).

- Forged in Fire doesn't have a wip page — yet.

- The Rebel and the Mage is my most recent wip—I haven't put together a wip page just yet. (It's listed in my intro post as untitled.

- The "lonely" snippet is the first scene idea I had for The Guiding Star and, as you might be guessing, the reason for the story's title. I couldn't help but share the excerpts entirety lol.
