Recently @aurosoulart suggested on their Twitch Stream to familiarize yourself with Figmin XR by making Dragons with the symmetry tool. If someone suggests I make Dragons, who am I to say no?

Forefront, Part 2. Organic Sculpting.
With my second Forefront, I wanted to learn more about sculpting.
There are many wonderful tutorials on sculpting: From long-term courses, covering various materials on faces, bodies and so on, to short and quick tips and guides on how to make something quick and easy.
In order to get better at shaping the heads and understand the scale and perspective more, I knew I had to learn about speedsculpting, so watched some streams made by Nikolay Naydenov.
youtube
Nikolay is very good at speedsculpting - he has a lot of streams during which he worked on numerous characters and busts, and what is great is that you can always join them and ask some questions in terms of sculpting. His video helped me to understand what brushes to use, to what focus on and how much attention each segment of a work must have.
While this is not a dedicated tutorial about how to sculpt, it is a very useful stream since you can see how he does various characters and learn more from that.
I also enjoy his work on Artstation: Despite the fact that no he works on stylised characters only, he has some realistic models. I really like his high variety of characters, and his work have definitely helped me to understand more on what can I do and how to do it.

The work by Nikolay Naydenov: Rose (2016), Spaceman (2018), and Stylized Cyberpunk girl in Zbrush course (2021)
youtube
I have also followed a video tutorial by Jim Morren (2023) in order to get a crash course on how to do a good head sculpt in a short time duration. While I used Nikolay Naydenov's streams as a way to understand how to use brushes and how much time I should dedicate to each detail, I have used this video to observe how to sculpt a realistic shape and traced the workflow with this video.
While these videos do help me with the current project, I expect to drastically change the way I work in the future, I found an interesting full course on character design on Artstation, where Jared Chavez used industry-standard programs (such as Zbrush, Maya, Substance Painter and more) in order to create a good quality asset.
This is a wonderful course, which I will revisit after the end of this semester project in order to see the mistakes I made, and will take post Masters, in order to make sure that I do everything right in my workflow.
Organic sculpting is an important stage in character development, and while it is possible to avoid it in some specific projects through various ways - it is essential to know how to do it in order to understand how organic forms work.
