ITS TIME. this is my essay on why the chasity family are cannibals

okay so obviously this started with that one line from hatchet town “careful or your kids might end up on karens plate! she just ate!” but i like to imagine the “chasitys are cannibals” is just a running joke in hatchetfield, or maybe a rumor. most people don’t actually think they’re cannibals but it’s just something people say to get under karen’s skin because that’s fun.

but i like to imagine this rumor started with actual evidence of something. it’s not just like one day someone said “it would be funny to say this about karen lmao” it’s more like “possibly human remains were found in the chasity’s freezer but this is kind of a normal occurrence in hatchetfield so we’re just going to turn it into a joke”

ALSO. that one scene in npmd right before dirty girl and basically just every scene where the chasitys interact feels kind of off. its definitely giving the trope of “this a perfect utopia oh wait it’s actually really fucked up and dark when you think about it for a minute” like imagine in the dinner scene the “mouthful of mothers meatloaf” is fully some guys liver. and then karen chasity is like “oh i couldn’t have done it without you mark, you work so hard dragging all of these corpses into our basement!”

this also works with the “this is hatchetfield, people go missing every day” line because the chasitys are killing all of them and fucking eating them!! this can also account for why grace was so confident she’d get away with max’s murder because she’s so used to living in a cannibalistic murder family that it doesn’t cross her mind to worry. she just didn’t account for the fact that this specific murder would be more trackable because she didn’t yknow. eat maxs corpse so it was still there for the cops to find

grace’s entire personality in general is also really concerning! like, she’s fucking insane obviously! but why? she probably didn’t just pop out of the womb like that right? well, maybe it’s because she has been RAISED by crazy people. obviously her parents are very intensely christian but even the most devoted of christians don’t usually summon five eldritch demons to do their bidding. like! that is most definitely not normal! so it makes complete sense that grace’s insanity runs in the family they are cannibals they eat people

The Lords in Black puppeteered the entire plot of Nerdy Prudes Must Die

In Yellow Jacket, Pokey's psychic vision to Hannah sets off the chain of events that leads her to Otho. Similarly, the vision Tinky shows Ted in Time Bastard puts Jenny in the front of his mind, which causes him to try and change the past once he figures out that his office is a time machine. It's pretty clear that Grace Chasity is perceptive to psychic visions since she sees Richie's death in a dream (plus her proficiency with the Black Book implies that she may have a touch of the Gift). Additionally, the "Dirty Girl" scene features enough coincidences that it seems like more than just a sexual fantasy. She has no way of knowing that Max Jagerman is christian, yet she predicts it almost perfectly. This is evidence that she received a vision from the Lords in Black of Max in her bathroom.

Grace envisioning Max in this way causes her to seek vengeance, which leads to Max actually getting killed and then subsequently resurrected in ghost form. The ultimate result of her vision, however is that the Lords in Black get to devour Max's soul, and Grace becomes corrupted and turned into their disciple. Both of these directly serve the Lords in Black's desires. The lyric "Nibbly wants his sacrifice and Wiggly wants his wrath," which stands out due to its choice to only mention two of the Lords, highlights this, since Nibbly wants Max sacrificed to him and Wiggly wants Grace's wrath (which is the inevitable result of her character arc in every timeline we've seen her in so far). Nibbly is even the one who specifically states that he wants to lick Max's soul.

But why Max Jagerman of all people? It's because he, many times throughout the play, refers to himself as a god. This is someone who has the power to single-handedly control the social order of an entire high school. Everyone hates him, but they're all too scared to challenge him. Even the other popular kids! Max's power goes beyond the scope of a typical cliche high school bully, because he casts his peers into roles. He chooses who are the nerds and who are the jocks. He micromanages everyone's social lives. He is literally playing god. In other words, Max Jagerman is someone the Lords in Black would view as a threat.

Grace refers to Max Jagerman's death as "an act of god," and she isn't wrong. The Lords in Black send her the vision so she'll cause his death. They're also likely responsible for several other convenient occurrences, such as Waylon Hall, which is widely known to be haunted and therefore likely only of interest to the Church of the Starry Children, who worship the Lords in Black, being sold so soon after Max's body is hidden inside. They're likely counting on Max killing Richie and Ruth first, so that Grace is the only person who can step in when neither Pete nor Steph kills the other one successfully. When she gives up her chastity, she's killed two birds with one stone by giving Max's soul to the Lords in Black and becoming fully corrupted herself, which is even symbolized by the visual gag of her smoking a cigarette right after she and Max have sex. Grace ends the show as a pawn of the Lords in Black, but she has no idea she's been one the entire time.

I’m the active Zack brown hater anon from a while back and some hot takes from me is that people need to understand that drivers can fight with each other!! (And fans need to stop babying drivers…) Maybe it’s because I’m used to seeing fights from players in other sports but one thing I think if very hypocritical of people is that if you want competition you need to understand there WILL be fights. You can’t hate on drivers winning all the time and then say they’re a hypocrite when they fight with other drivers or their teams because they lost out on a win. If you want F1 to be like any other sport every fan, (mostly the new one’s but not everyone) needs to understand they aren’t family. They will always be “coworkers” at best but by default everyone are rivals and fighting for a title, yes, even their teammates.

I think I’m mainly upset at this because of the recent backlash at many drivers. One with Carlos taking out Albon. It wasn’t at all Carlos fault it was simply bad luck yet people are acting seriously that Carlos won’t get that Williams deal. This isn’t a sport where oh no we won’t sign you because you did something to our current driver. F1 teams will always think about their future, not about the little family fans think everyone is (I’m looking at you McLauren…).

this now is a side note but people couldn’t handle Max pushing Esteban or George, the fanbase doesn’t understand players in a sport will always be competitive and have the right to be angry! (Even if they may be wrong in the moment, but I’m not specifically saying Max was wrong in this context)

F1 is a dangerous sport in all so every driver has a right to be mad at each other all in all if anything happens on track. It’s good they aren’t out right brawling and I’m happy there is not but I also think fans should not baby the drivers when arguments happen (with fellow drivers or their team…) Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

My personal favorite headcanon for Nerdy Prudes Must Die (spoilers, obviously) (I start off with a shit ton of just the actual story before the theory, I'm bisexual and autistic, I'm hyperfixated as fuck and these two are so cute, leave me alone /lh)

Max is obviously in love with Grace. Even if he frames it as just wanting to take her chastity, it's clear that he loves her. I mean, firstly, he defends her from bullying despite her being the nerdiest prude. Max himself says to Pete that nobody is a loser until he says they are, so if Max says Grace isn't one, then she wouldn't be. When she comes over to him in their first scene he asks so fucking sweetly to carry her books, like, batting his eyelashes and such a sweet voice. And when she declines he resorts to his mean bully self.

Grace very clearly does not love Max back. Despite her sexual fantasies, and even the lyric "I think im loving you more than I should" in Dirty Girl, she doesn't love him. Cause that's all they are, fantasies. In Dirty Girl she makes it very clear, with her saying multiple times "I don't/won't care about you". And its clear she doesnt want him to like her either, since her fantasy Max specifically asks her to "love me like you dont care." Showing that she really just wants him so she can give in to her temptations. She only sees him with lust, a symbol of her "sinful" desires. A symbol she wants to get rid of by any means to stay pure.

When Max decides to kill Steph first, he screams "you fucking Judas", which causes Grace to show up and shout "So you do know the Bible!" She then follows that up with "I used to have a crush on another guy who rose from the grave. But Jesus never threw a football like you max!" Despite her saying "crush" I fully believe she didn't mean it that way. She just needed to get him on board with her plan, and she knows how he feels about her.

She finally gets him to leave Steph and Pete alone and they have sex. When she comes back, she's smoking a cigarette and states "I needed that." Max comes out from behind the the wall and gets on his stomach, kicking his fucking feet like a tween girl writing self insert fanfiction, and says "Hey, uh, Grace? Where you going? Don't you wanna cuddle a little bit?" This line alone proves to me that he's in love with her. Compared to someone like Ted Spankoffski, who would never do something as romantic as cuddling after sex (at least not with anyone besides the girl he loves), it's obvious that Max has real feelings...

Only for Grace to say "Oh Max. I just gave you a gift. A very special gift. In fact, I just gave you what I cherish most. My chastity." Not only did she successfully fulfill what the Lord's in Black demanded, though we all know they didn't like that Pete or Steph didn't die, she also got what she wanted... to give into her sinful sexual urges.

With Max screaming that it was worth it, and him gone into the black and white, Grace becomes almost addicted to the power of the Black Book. The end of the musical is her taking over Max's role to kill the people she deems deserve it, in her case, perverts.

Now, my actual theory is that since Grace is directly connected with the Lord's In Black, she can freely go to the black and white, similar to how Miss Holloway seems to be able to. With Max in the Black and white... I like to think he's still actively pining for her. Whenever she visits to talk with the Lord's he's just kinda watching and trying to flirt with her and she's just completely over it. It gets to the point where even the Lord's are irritated. But slowly Grace starts to find his flirting charming. Realizing that since she is working for the Lord's in Black, effectively denouncing her Christianity, there's nothing stopping her from finding someone attractive, or wanting to be with someone. Their relationship at this point might stay as mostly sexual, but she is falling in love.

Maybe she makes a deal with the Lord's to bring him back to life, or maybe she's into fucking ghosts and just asks for that idk but the point is... I like thinking that with her doing the Lord's in Black's bidding, she can see max and actually get to know and fall in love with him.

I just really love the idea of Max being a lovesick himbo babygirl, only for Grace to reject him and be an asshole. But Max is a hopeless romantic who finds it hot that Grace is mean to him and he doesnt take it to heart. He's desperate for a positive relationship, seeing that he says his dad calls him a cuck and is very clearly emotionally/verbally abusive at best, and it kinda seems like Grace wants to be adored by someone, the same way Linda Monroe does.

So I went back and rewatched all of the Hachetfield stuff, and now I have some ✨questions✨ and also possible ✨theories✨

(I don't know how much has been talked about before in theory circles, so go easy on me if these are widely accepted theories or questions that have been answered a million times before)

1- The LiB and their altars

Ok, so first off we know there are 5 black altars and 5 LiB- it only makes sense that each altar was dedicated to one LiB in particular- but can be used as a general altar if the need calls for it.

I believe we can determine which altar belongs to which LiB by where that Lord showed up first in the series.

So Pokey's altar is the Starlight Theater, Wiggly's was the old mill (now Lakeside Mall), and Tinky's was The Gazette (in Time Bastard, we learn the Gazette eventually turns into CCRP- Paul and Ted's workplace), Nibbly's is the Waylon place, and Blinky's is Hachetfield High.

I'm pretty sure Nibbly's is the Waylon place because in Honey Queen, the CotSC bring Linda to the middle of nowhere for her to be possessed by Nibbly. I'm gonna run under the assumption that the Church would almost certainly bring her to one of the altars for such an important ceremony- but none of the other altars fit such an out-of-the-way description.

I also think that Blinky would LOVE the drama that goes on behind the scenes of a Hachetfield High, and something about him having an amusement park also tells me that he may enjoy watching drama between children more than he does adults.

2- Grace Chastity may have a touch of "the gift"

My main reasons for thinking this comes from Abstinence Camp and NPMD.

First, Grace was able to get the ax-man to turn on Jerry and Jeri after a single conversation. The ax-man also gave her his ax as a symbol of passing the torch to her to protect the woods. I don't think that would have happened without a little intervention.

Secondly, after the scene with Richie's death, Grace wakes up and says she saw Max- looking angry and not hot at all- and while I do believe it was mainly played for laughs, SHE STILL SAW HIM. I don't know if it *was* just a dream, but dreams have been used as shorthand for having "the gift" before, and I don't believe in coincidence with these shows.

I don't think she has a strong version of "the gift" but I do believe that it's enough that her having the black book will end up being a problem for everyone else.

3- Was the "ghost" of Ethan really a ghost?

This one may seem strange, but Ethan died pretty violently in BF- and he was also at an altar when it happened. That vision Hannah saw of him- was it just a puppet of Wiggly, or was it a little closer to what Max is?

Is Max just more powerful because he made a more violent promise as his last words?

4- The entirety of season 2 is the same timeline

This one is pretty self-explanatory, but the main gist is that, if it happened in season 2, then it falls on one timeline in the Hachetfield saga.

Yellow Jacket is the last event in this timeline, and it starts with Perky's Buds.

Every story in this timeline mentions the Honey Festival. While at the Honey Festival, we get clear signs that things tie together.

In PB- Ziggs is making the pin-up girl specifically to be their mascot to present at the festival.

In AC- I'm pretty sure Steph says that she's going to miss the Honey Festival

HQ- this one is obvious.

Daddy- the mother says she's going to pick up a new father from the Honey Festival- she comes back with Ted.

KT- Ted and the mother flirting. Zoey's roommate asking for something that will ruin Zoey's voice.

YJ- young Sherman sitting on the counter at toy zone.

That's most of them for now- I have other thoughts, but none want to come to me rn. I may update this later with more.

having lots of thoughts about a npmd pokemon trainer au, so i made teams for the main six :] (headcanons/explanations below the cut!)

i gave all of them basic starters at various evolution levels since i always do that when designing teams for characters,, i think they'd keep their starters!

anyways,

pete has a shiny eelektrik that he stumbled across as a tynamo on complete accident. (he doesn't show anyone it though bc of his whole invisible at school thing, which was also my reasoning behind giving him kecleon)

ted gave pete his rufflet, not realizing how high leveled it had to be to evolve.

richie's prized pokemon is his mawile, which he definitely named asuka. he also values how defensive she is, and will use her against max's team (despite usually losing)

grace's spiritomb and greavard are her two favorite pokemon (not that she'd tell anyone that)..

^^ spiritomb's are said to curse those with bad thoughts and are formed from spirits, and houndstone has an ability that makes it stronger once every other pokemon on the team dies.. i thought both of those were pretty fitting for her.

i didn't want to give max a fully evolved team, but i did give him a team of basically all later-to-be meta mons since i think he'd probably take battling way too seriously.

i think steph would have a fondness for dark/ghost types, since a lot of them are just misunderstood. i also gave her a rotom because she cherishes her phone above all else (/j)

she hates battling and would much rather just care for her pokemon instead of subjecting them against other's. (she is very vocal about this to max, but he could care less)

ruth's team is almost entirely just vibes for me, besides her starter and eevee.

^^ primarina is a performer (an opera singer specifically), and i think that her having a pokemon that performs is just a nice touch :) with eevee, there are practically endless possibilities for what an eevee can become, so giving her one seemed like an easy choice.

Joseph: quiet nerd kid, but has the same weird, threatening aura as Grace does. Into some real left field shit. Will debate the extended family on religion, one of those smarmy reddit atheists.

Elsie: non-verbal until like 7, Amy helped her communicate at school. Autism. Gentle, sweetheart. Creative girly, into her art, will forget to move until her piece is done.

Abe: nightmare toddler, Grace and Ruth regret having a third. Hair untamable.

Watson: ratty ass Irish wolfhound. Ruth had her childhood dog called Sherlock who passed so decided to get a puppy when Joseph was 3. They are inseperable.

Max and Richie: get engaged in 2024. Get married in 2028 once Max's dad finally fucking dies. Have Marie in 2033.

Richie: film critic (specifically horror movies)

Max: park ranger and highschool football coach

Marie: her middle name is Asuka, Richie had to be restrained and this was the compromise. She fucking hates this. Mini goth kid but also quite athletic, more into running than football. Did not inherit Richie's asthma but did inherit his insomnia.

Totoro: Named by Richie. Marie calls him Toto. Golden retriever.

Oscar: Named by Max. German Shepherd.

Suzie: Named by Marie after Suzie and the banshees. Rescue.

Lex and Ethan: get engaged in 2021, get married in 2026 once everything settles down. Have William in 2029.

Ethan: runs his dad's garage

William: Will. Sort of takes after his dad, perceived as a bad kid but just likes sticking up for people. Quite creative as well, but more on the music side. Plays the piano and the violin, doesn't own either but plays at the highschool. Also very much in love with his best friend. Also raging adhd.

Hannah and Daniel: get married in 2040, have Meghan in 2043.

Hannah: guidance councillor

Daniel: ccrp worker

Meghan: can speak, doesn't until she's about 5. Her first word is Webby. This doesn't worry anyone at all. She may genuinely be a Webby conduit.

Henry: yes he was named after hidgens. like a slightly more outgoing Paul, does end up working at Beanie's during his highschool years. Bit of a nerd for sci-fi thrillers. Has strong opinions on Working Boys.

Penny: named after Richie’s late mom, ie Paul's older sister. Manic anxious energy, doing everything all of the time, bit like cousin Tim. Has a Ted like sense of humor, Paul regrets letting him babysit.

Jane: named after Emma's older sister. Couldn't be more different. Absolute mess, reminds Emma of a younger her. Persued musical theatre in highschool and drove Paul fucking nuts.

i find it really weird (and hypocritical) when people say that they hate max + think that he doesnt deserve any love from fans but then go and post about loving ted, the jer(i)rys, the lords in black, linda + gerald, and wilbur (etc). i understand not liking max specifically (trust me ive been bullied by so many max jägermans in my life) but hating him for being a pushy bully then loving starkids other pushy bullys is just really annoying. those same people also use the argument that hes gross to grace and like. so is ted, boy jerry, wilbur, and even some of the protags are gross. targetting max then forgiving everyone else doesnt make hating max make sense to me. and i dont even like him that much

WHO IS GEORGIE DAVIDSON?

Georgie Davidson is a 17 year old student at Hatchetfield High School. She lives with her parents, Mr. Ken Davidson and Mrs. Carol Davidson, in a suburb near the outskirts of Witchwood Forest. She’s a music + theater nerd, a stoner, and an avid researcher of urban legends and local history.

Her relationships differ based on timelines and circumstance, but there are some through-lines.

- Best friends with Alice Woodward. They met at a CCRP take your kid to work day as elementary schoolers and have been inseparable since. Bill is also like a second father to her.

- Close friends with Ruth Fleming. Georgie started doing school theater very young, and pretty much knew everyone involved. Ruth joined the tech crew in middle school and, being a certified chatterbox, Georgie regularly spent her breaks trying to talk to the new girl. Eventually, she broke her down and they’ve been close since.

- Drifted apart childhood friends with Richie Lipschitz. In middle school, they rode the same bus and both ended up sitting next to each other one day. Georgie struck up a conversation out of boredom and something just stuck. They kept sitting with each other and talking more in school, becoming closer friends. But, Georgie started developing feelings for Richie and she didn’t understand them, so she began to distance herself. Now, they don’t speak at all.

- Family Friends (?) with Paul Matthews. Georgie was babysat by Paul as a child, often alongside Alice, as she’d frequently stay at the Woodward place. She still calls him Uncle Paul, a childhood habit.

- Charlotte Sweetly babysat Georgie once in a while, too. Mr. Davidson asked the employees of the office to look after his daughter as a last resort, and offered to pay as overtime. Charlotte accepted happily, and spent the night braiding Georgie’s hair, making cookies and singing with the girl. They did this regularly, until Mr. Davidson became uncomfortable with Georgie being around her husband, Sam. But, like Paul, she’s still Aunt Charlotte.

- Second-cousins with Zoey & Zach Chambers. They don’t see each other or talk like, ever. But, it makes Georgie feel very starstruck to be related to Hatchetfield’s finest actress.

- Friends with Deb, Trevor, Caitlyn, PJ, Reese, Rose, Ziggs, Sof, and Danny

- Dislikes Max Jägerman, Kyle Clauger, Brad Callahan, Grace Chasity, Brenda, Ted Spankoffski, The Metzgers
